However, Stephen wouldn't be able to actually delete her number. He would continually look at it, day after day, but never find the moment or opportunity in his mind to let her mentally go from his mind. However, he wouldn't message anymore, he wouldn't call. One could say that he was hurt, but another would say he was giving her what she wanted. However, he never wrap his head around why this was happening. Two weeks later, he had lost track of her scheduled appointments, however, she was still on his mind daily. She never left his mind though.
In the mean time, he would focus on work. During the three weeks since the event, he would find himself focusing on patients who actually seem to want his help, draining his work into their cases and making sure that he could only make their cancer and tumors smaller, while helping them maintain their lifestyles and happiness. And another girl, someone he worked with, was becoming closer and he could feel it....
It was a random Wednesday when he was walking Mrs. Johnson, a 67 year old fitness enthusiast, out of the office when he would see her in the waiting room. Alex Payne... And he said nothing. He saw her through the nurses station and she definitely didn't see him. But, he didn't go to her. Its what she wanted. He would take his next patient, 35 year old Stan, who wanted to make the best of the situation and was the happiest patient he ever worked it. It was a quick in and out, we were seeing shrinkage with his case, but not a lot, however, he was celebrating it.
As they walked out, he gave him a pat on the back next to a supply closet, "You, sir, have the best outlook, go enjoy that Applebees to celebrate and have a marg on me. See you in two weeks, Mr. Stan," he said as he opened the door out of the office before turning to the supply room, he needed more gloves, as he opened the door, he would find Alex on the floor, "Alex..." he said, a frown crossing his face, "What's wrong?"
