Nate had just finished moving everything into place, he was slowly beginning to make a still sized hole in the dirt beside of the stream, being very careful not to knock off the natural pattern of the stream as that could ruin the whole spot. Placing the drum, the condenser, the worm, and all the other equipment together, he would begin mapping out in his head where everything would need to go. As he took a break, finding an old stump that was going to be near the still site, he begin to look into areas where he would be making his camp. Plotting a tent location, camp fire, what food he would eat, everything along those lines.
He had just placed his lunchbox against the stump, pulling out a water bottle from the ice filled chest of snacks and drinks, he took a sip, but he was startled when he heard a rattling of branches near him. It was not uncommon for deer, raccoons, possums, wolves, or even bear to frequent this area. He scanned his surrounding, especially in the direction the noise had came from, slowly moving to a standing spot and bringing his hand behind his back. Tucked into the waist band of his blue jeans was a .9mm Glock pistol, something he had bought for self defense. It wouldn't take down a bear, but it sure as hell would scare it off. However, it wasn't animals that he was scared of seeing right now.
In the state, a concealed carry license allowed you to carry a weapon of this type, but if this happened to a liquor revenue lawman, they wouldn't care and would charge him with a illegal weapon charge as well, but he wasn't going to get ate by no bear either. He held the gun at his side, concealed against his body as he looked through the woods, waiting for the sound. Another branch breaking, another rassling, he could hear whatever it was getting close. As he hid behind a larger tree trunk, he watched as, not a bear or even officer of the law, but a girl, naturally stunning in beauty, was just walking through the woods, looking for... something?
