Incantara and Sherwood There are many places upon the world in which flow Ley Lines; rivers of raw mana that flow though the world like veins of lifeblood, a product of when the gods and powers first crafted the world in it's infancy. One such Ley Line, one of the largest and most powerful, flows though the lands known as Sherwood and Incantara. As such, Incantara is a place of great natural wonders of magic; such as the massive Gem Caverns, the pristine Ivory Grove, and the rejuvenating Crystal Creek. This land is also the birth place of more Castors than any other. With access to such natural power, fertility and wealth, it is unsurprising that Incantara is unparalleled throughout the known world. (edited)

Solara and The Danu Moorlands Once upon a time, in ancient days when gods and mortals communed far more regularly, there existed a mighty kingdom that rivaled even Incantara. This was the Kingdom of Solara, located in the vast open plains near the Danu Moorlands; another powerful Ley Line locale where it is said the last vestiges of the Fae Powers hold a court imperceptible to mortals to this day. The story of Solara is a tragic one...the Princess Aurora, born to the old King and Queen, was cursed by the Demon Fae Maleficent for reasons unknown. To counter the curse, the trio of Fae goddesses Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather would bestow boons upon Aurora that would allow the curse to be broken as inevitably as it would come to pass. As prophesied, what would have been Aurora's death and the death of all Solara would instead be a period of sleep, where all the castle and town would wait suspended in time for when circumstances to break the curse could be performed. Maleficent would still have one last gambit to play; covering the entire town and castle in a nigh-impenetrable overgrowth of unnatural black briar vines that sought to kill and consume any living creatures that came near it. To this day, the "Shadowbriar Palace" remains in dread stasis, ignored and nearly forgotten by the Kingdom that now eclipses ancient Solara...Corona. (edited)

Merriwyn Keep Merriwyn is the heart of Incantara; a sprawling castle at the northern area of the town built around it. Both castle and town of Merriwyn are prosperous, dealing in all manner of trade goods, the most prominent of which being gems, timber, and minerals. The Keep is, of course, where the Royalty resides, as does their staff and the families thereof. Here is where Court is held, diplomacy is practiced, and the general affairs of the kingdom are addressed.

Merriwyn Marketplace The Marketplace can be found in Merriwyn's Central Square, the many stalls and storefronts crowding the area daily rival the Sherwood Farmer's Market, except with far more variety and entertainment to be had. In addition to simple food, there are also wares such as tools, trinkets, animals, spices, and other fare both domestic and exotic. With stands all along the street and bards on every corner, one usually see somethingthey like. Safety is assured, thanks to the many guards patrolling the area.

Outlaw's Paradise This sprawling camp deep in the heart of the large and wondrous Sherwood Forest is where The Merry Men and their allies call home...at least for as long as their rebellion lasts. The rich bounty of the forest provides for all the needs of the inhabitants, while it's sheer size and density confound anyone who does not know the way, making their location and capture nearly impossible. To keep the enemy guessing, the camp is also moved to a new part of the forest on occasion, leaving as little trace as possible.

The Jouster's Lance One of Merriwyn's larger inns, The Jouster's Lance has done quite well for itself over the decades, growing and improving slowly but steadily into one of the finest taverns in the land. The inn offers everything from ale to accommodations, and word has it that they have certain other "commodities" for sale as well. (edited)

Nottingham Nottingham is a long time ally and friend of Incantara, the two kingdoms sharing many aspects of cultural development while still having a separate identity and history. One of the more interesting fables of the Kingdom is that of their current reigning ruler, Queen Cinderella, who came from nothing, marrying into the Royal Family by virtue of her own sheer determination and the aid of a powerful Fae patron claiming to have been her Godmother...which has led many to wonder what kind of favor or bargain her family had made with the Fae to ensure such an end, however innocent the story made it seem.

Gisbourne Gisbourne is a nation with a history that prides itself on art, romanticism, and culture. Many outsiders argue that this has made the nation somewhat vain and arrogant, whilst citizens within claim that their culture is one of hidden depth. One famous tale within their history conveys this notion: A story of a handsome and powerful young lord who had recently inherited his family's fortune and lands. The young man coldly spurned an old crone seeking charity; the crone revealed herself then to be a Castor sorceress, who promptly transformed him into a hideous monstrosity, and all the servants and staff within into mimic-like caricatures of their assigned duties. Were it not for the intellect and perception of the Human artificer and scholar that the Kingdom now knew as Lady Belle, The "Beast," as he had been called, would have never known love, and the curse never lifted. This story raised many questions and interpretations as well, from Belle's relation to the sorceress, to the cruelty of transforming the staff along with the young Lord.
