history: Once upon a time, there was a Noble of great prominence; a "mere" Human named Romulus Locksley, who had attained such power and influence to nearly rival the King himself through cleverness, fairness, and sheer wealth from his rich lands and holdings. Having more than enough wealth and power, and seeking only for the happiness of himself and those beneath him, he married a farmer's daughter for love. Tragically, they tried to have children, but could not produce an heir for reasons unknown. One evening, a traveling Castor would greet Romulus, offering him a spell that would produce children of the finest stock...for a price, of course. He agreed, and the spell was cast...
Robin was one of two sons born, the other having been kidnapped when he was too young to remember. He never knew his mother, for she too had died when he was a mere newborn. He was raised by his father and trained in all the studies a young Lord-to-be would require: Governance, finance, history, and so forth. he would also learn combat, having a particular gift for archery. He also possessed an uncanny ability to hunt, track, and survive in the wilderness, feeling akin to a second home for him. His only rival was a young man his own age...Remus of Nottingham, a ward of the Crown who was being groomed to one day be the Sheriff. The two boys would constantly be at odds, trying to one-up each other in various contests both physical and mental. (edited)
