The Storyteller BOT 21-Jun-22 08:09 AM
The Sionnach Clan, a breed of men that had been gifted a likeness to those of a fox by the goddess Onari. Able to shift at will to a true form of a fox, or continue to look like men, with ears and tails still denoting to which goddess they served. They were not as powerful as that of the Buralo Clan of wolves, or the Falcor Clan, who's God had gifted them the power of flight. There was not much to fear from a fox, though perhaps their mischievous nature. Red foxes had been living a peaceful existence for the last several millennia since the fleeing from under the powerful thumb of the stronger beastmen. Driven away from the cities and forced to make their own settlements. Luck from the gods had been on their side finding the perfect place to claim as their own. Wood and water were abundant as were food to hunt and gather, a picturesque lake not far from an open spot of land with soil rich enough to grow crops. The foxes had grown and prospered so much so that they had begun to expand, the settlement now well on the verge of becoming a city. Technology had begun to evolve with the newer generations introducing tools and means to harvest water and crops more efficiently than with just their hands. A damn had been built in hopes to control the flow of water from a nearby waterfall. Now twenty years later their peaceful days were on the verge of being tested, tried by the strings of fate in which the gods themselves found their entertainment.

Laughter echoed in the peaceful outskirts of the Sionnach Clan as a fox cub and it's companion forth past the final marker denoting their territory. "Last one to the lake is the loser!" A melodic voice called out as the sound of bare feet thudding against the soft ground in the meadow. The chittering of a fox as it bounced through the tall grass and over a fallen log. It's eyes alight with joy as it made a beeline for the water. "Oh no you don't Felix!" Suiko called not far behind the fox. Eyes narrowing, thick fluffy red tail flicking behind her as she quickened her pace. Wild waves of red hair flowing behind her as she finally got the lead on her playmate. More laughter as she pushed forward after feeling her furred friend at her feet. She had built up so much momentum that by the time the shoreline was in her sight there was no chance in slowing down in time. A squeal of both shock and joy as she skidded on her heels before falling on her bottom in the water. Droplets flew up around her as she disrupted the peaceful surface of the lake. She laughed again as Felix leapt into the air before he cannonballed next to her in the water, his small body creating tiny ripples in the water. "F-Felix!" Suiko held up her hands to cover her face from the oncoming spray of water as the fox splashed around happily. @ThisisHowdy

Aukai Astra BOT 27-Jun-22 02:05 AM
Aukai had been in the area, swimming not too far below the waters surface. If it weren't for a group of small minnows Aukai would have never noticed a new sight. They watched in awe as these two.. land mammals jumped into the water. One was significantly smaller than the other which kind of raised an eyebrow for Aukai. Aukai's people actually lived in a waterfall not too far from where they were swimming at. It was more cave at first, but further in it turns into big open underwater caves. Icthyo Clan, that's what Aukai's people were called. The Icthyo Clan is practically unknown to every other clan, mostly because they have stayed hidden for so long. It wasn't long till they were finally discovered. "Hey!" Aukai cried out, their head poking out of the water just a few feet away from the other two creatures. "You two look funny. You're not Icthyopian are you?" Aukai tilts their head, their webbed hands and feet boosting them closer to the two beings. Aukai's white eyes staring between the two. Though Aukai was not allowed to be out in the open like they were, they were not afraid of the two strangers. "Actually now that I think about it, you're not Icthyopian at all. Never seen anything like you before though. Tell me, what are you, and what is your name? I'm Aukai, a member of the Icthyo Clan."

Eyes tightly shut to protect them from the water being splashed in her direction Suiko had not been aware that someone had been watching. Her laughter ringing out over the surface of the water. "Felix! Stooooop!" She giggled and only lowered her hands when the small fox pup finally stopped kicking water in her direction. She was thoroughly soaked from the water and she knew her father may be upset later but there would be plenty of time to dry herself in the early afternoon sun. Her ears twitched when she head a voice of someone she didn't recognize. Wide eyed she scooped up Felix quickly and cradled him to her chest tightly as she spun to glance in the direction in which the voice had originated. Upon seeing the head poke out of the water she tilted her head. "Itchyo- what?" White eyes stared into her green ones and she took a hesitant step back. A perplexed look crossed the girls face and she still clung to Felix in case the newcomer was a danger. She may have looked innocent and weak but Suiko had been trained how to fight by her father, out of necessity in the trying times when out on hunts. "I'm Suiko." She glanced down at the pup in her arms. "This is my little clan-brother Felix." The fox in her arms let out a raspy bark as if to say hello and Suiko glanced back at the stranger. "We are fox-kin from the Sionnach Clan. What are you, Aukai?" @ThisisHowdy
