As Keatings called her CiCi, her cheeks darkened into a deep red and her eyes fell farther on to the floor until she brought her face up to stare directly at her. The woman was stunning and it made it hard for her to make direct eye-contact even though that was precisely what she had demanded. Carmen lightly nodded her head and when told she had to find the title of the film out for herself, she almost looked away again. She had fully planned on it and if it was a different professor, she might have, but she needed an excuse to talk to her and that was her best bet in her mind.
At the mention of notes, she almost slammed her notebook open to prove she had, but quickly understood why Keatings was bringing it up. She nodded enthusiastically and felt a surge of confidence take over her. Her notes and academics were something she was good at doing and she had no doubt she would impress Keatings, but when the woman brushed her hair behind her ear, that bashfulness came back in full force. She couldn’t help but lower her eyes to the ground and nod again just before she left.
Finally out in the hallway, her heart was beating a mile a minute. She couldn’t accurately process what had just happened, but she knew she had a film to find. Heading to the library, she found a secluded corner and pulled out her laptop. It wouldn’t take her long to find the many articles about Professor Keatings, even one that stated she was hired on as a college teacher, however, sifting through the material finally gave her the name of her paranormal documentary she had made. With much excitement, she gathered her things and made her way off campus. She planned on watching, and or buying, every movie ever made by the woman and would write up anything she could find to write about on the subjects.
