TOWN ARCHIVES Humans first discovered and colonized the the land, founding the town of Midnight Creek in 1764. The colonists, however, were soon fearful of the creatures that roamed the lands. Family members woke up with bites in their necks and soon wished to drink blood. Wolves that were bigger than any other lupus were spotted in the region. Whispers of curses and spells turned neighbors against each other. The Council: The Council was founded in response to the Treaty of Peace. The Council is the official authority of the town, originally comprised of 2 member of each organized occult: Human, Vampire, Werewolf, Warlock, and Fae. Today, however, more humans are on the Council than anything else, due to humans in the Americas now outnumbering supernaturals astronomically. This has created a sort of slow oppression on the supernaturals, as landmarks and associations special to these occults have lost funding and slowly crumbled. Vampires CAN eat, but only in very small amounts and there has to be significant blood mixed in. Otherwise, they have extreme intenstinal issues until the offending solid meal is passed out of the system, one way or another. Breathing is optional. The older they are, the more powerful they become. They "level cap" in power at 2000+ years, and only one of them is that old: Judas Iscariot, "The First One." Vampires older than 1500 years can transform, possess strength enough to lift up to 800 lbs, and can withstand physical attacks weaker than 15,000 PSI. Dhampir are living children born of a Vampire and a living humanoid. They possess roughly 1/4 of a Vampire's power, and have longer lifespans than others of their kind.
