It was a long day on his feet, the backpack stuck to his back as he would begin his long walk from the gas station to his lonely one bedroom studio apartment. He slowly moved to the right and left avoiding people that seemed more interested in their phone or the ground than looking at someone. But, he was glad to be off the clock and heading home at this point. His tall 6'4" frame and his string bean body of 150 pounds swaying as he decided to place his earbuds in and slowly enjoy some music on his walk.
As he would stare at the trees of the mysterious forest that surrounded the city, he would feel a slight rumble under his feet as the trees began to sway in the middle of the forest, he thought for a second he saw a light in the middle of the woods, but it was only for a split second, so he was unsure. He wasn't the only one who felt it as people around him look around and see if we can find a source to the ground rumble. As the final bit of the rumble stops, he shrugs and continues to walk. A block away from his house, he is looking at his window in the apartment, but doesn't see a creature rushing towards him and almost knocking him over.
"Oh shit," he said with a surprised tone, "I am so sorry, are you okay?"
