27th May, early in the morning. The sun has just set up. This was no out of ordinary day for normal people nor for super heroes but it was for the students at Charles Xavier's School For Gifted Children. Like every year, this year they had a lot of students to graduate, praying they'll suit in the common life just fine and keeping their powers under control. The education in the school can be heartbreaking, agonizing, harsh but so was life. Xavier wasn't only preparing mutants to common life, he was preparing children to life as well. He was their mentor and a father to them. He was proud with every single one of them. Graduation ceremony is yet to begin, hell noone was awake yet. Except the devil... it never sleeps. With mutants on their side they've managed to stealth into the school. Planted bombs to weak spots of the building and blasted the school down. Nobody was prepared for that, noone could be. Dozens of children died with the impact of explosion, others died later due to poisoning or aftermath of explosion. X-MEN went missing along with the professor. Dozens of children and teenage dying in the incident. Avengers had an early morning gathering for the cause. To find the missing X-MEN and search for any survivor along the radius. When discussed who to send, Carol who came from space few days ago volunteered. "X-MEN dont trust people like us. They've cut themselves away from society to create a safe zone for mutants like them. I am some kind of mutant too, like Banner. But I can hold the angry gal inside me at least." After an hour of discussion Carol was decided to sent to investigate and find out what happened there, retrive any living mutant back. Rogers said "If there is any left out of them, they wont trust you Carol. You being half alien means nothing to them, you arent a mutant to them nor for us." Carol smiled

"Thank you Captain, Im hoping they'll make the right decision and choose to use the help they have. I've read about them before the meeting, they suffered enough well before the incident. We must avoid any further pain... whatever it takes." Carol nodded as a goodbye and turned the call off. She was uncomfortable with her choice too, the only mutant she've ever seen was Wolverine and it was years ago! When she arrived to the school, the smell was unbearable. Burnt corpse, flesh, insides and stones, chemicals. They all did a chain dance together to Carol's nose. The smell was hardly any indicator of the tragedy in here. Most of the fire was put, she was seeing smaller and bigger burnt, smashed corpses getting carried from the school. She took a deep agonizing breathe seeing that. Tragedies, genocides were usual to her life around the galaxy but man it was heartbreaking to see all the time. As she was looking at them she heard a scream from a firefighter inside the school. She rushed in and grabbed the man out of there. The man repeated "Someone in there... Someone in there... Someone in there..." She left the man to medic and rushed back inside flying. She shouted "Can you hear me!? Are you there!?" But there was no answer. She looked around, the fire was still burning, wood cracking and the sound of ambulances coming and leaving. She had to focus. She thought to herself "If someone's alive, they must be under something!" She lifted tables and planks around while firefighters set the fire off. She lifted a wardrobe to see someone under it. She swiftly lifted them and flew out of the fire. After handing over the mutant to doctors, she started to cough intensively. Breathing so much smoke made her sick. The doctors took the mutant to hospital. Next day Carol went to visit the mutant, hoping to see them awake.
