Ashton let out a sigh as he rubbed the back of his hand across his forehead. He had already been clocked in for fourteen hours, and he still had four more to go. Ashton was a specialist in neuro disorders, and he had been seeing patients left and right since he started this morning. Ashton had been a practicing doctor since he was twenty six. He was a gifted man who had skipped several grades in high school and graduated college at the age of twenty. He then went on to go to Harvard Medical School, and from there, he was now at this hospital; Charity Veils.
Ashton loved his job. He didn't care for the long hours, but he would work all the hours he could if it meant he could help patients through difficult diagnoses such as brain tumors, neurological complications, and more. He had never liked primary care when he did it during his residency, even though he liked people. No, it was the brain that fascinated him the most. Because of this, he wanted to spend his life working with the brain, its disorders, and the people they affected.
Walking through the large doors of Waiting Room C, Ashton looked down at his clipboard to see who his next patient was. A young woman by the name of Alexandra Payne. Ah, another one of Dr. Finch's patients. He liked Dr. Finch's patients. They all tended to be really kind. "Ms. Payne?" Ashton called. When the woman stood he beckoned for her to follow him, a smile on his face.
"Hi there. My name is Ashton Knoxx. I'm going to be your new neurologist. I know that Dr. Finch's departure was rather sudden, and this change is extremely sudden, but I am here to help you, and if you have any questions at all, please ask." He grinned at the woman before he pushed open his office door. "Right this way please."
