Jasmine BOT 09-Feb-22 10:44 AM
It was another quiet day in the kingdom of Sisan. The people who resided in it were doing their own chores as they do on a day-to-day basis. Shops, cleaning, farming, and much more occurred on the land of Sisan. But that was just their day-to-day, the kingdom was always active and bustling, and most people never had to fear for a moment of their lives. However, the castle where the royals resided...was busier. Ultimately, they are the politics, the events, and well...the lifeline of the realm. Without the Pierson family in power, much would crumble. Of course, this didn't bother the family as they had been in power for generations, it was their destiny and responsibility. Except one disagreed...Jasmine. Jasmine was a bit different from the family, a troublemaker, as they called her. But she was just more unorthodox, simply different. She would spend her free time instilling joy into the staff that resided alongside the royal family. This included playing fun pranks, helping out once in a while, and even making sure everyone had a good day. Of course, her parents would always think that a princess doesn't need to worry about such things, but well...she was more human in that sense. The castle had been bustling with activity more than usual. It was that time of year when love is in the air. A festival was being held in the town below the castle. As for the castle itself, it was being decorated and coordinated by none other than the Princess herself. Something that always brings Jasmine joy was helping prepare for the special occasions that come annually, and she would take the reigns. The theme for this love-themed festival was "A Reincarnated Rose." Roses of all forms and colors decorated every corner of the castle, rose petals strewn about the floor, rose archways, arrangements, and so on. The festival is still two days away, but all roses were preserved unless stated or needed otherwise. "Okay! I need red carpet lining the main hallway leading into the

ballroom, please! We want all our guests to feel special!... Oh yes! Please string ribbons and string lights along the tops of the walls, weaving around one another. Magical! "Certainly yes!" Jasmine would talk with staff and instruct as she walked around, smiling as her visions were slowly being brought to life. @VaVaVicodin

While the princess was inside decorating the castle with roses and pretty things, outside in the court yard a large muscular man standing at 6'4 was currently sparring with some of the new soldiers. Valerian Harper raised his sword above his head and went to strike down, but stopped a mere inch from his partner's head. "And that is why you never expose your vitals." He said, a wide smile on his face as the man collapsed onto his butt, trembling. "Y-Yes, Sir Harper." He exclaimed. If anyone paid attention, they would see a large wet strain appear on the soldier's pants. "That's it for training for now. Go refresh yourselves. We will return in a few hours to go over this all once more!" Valerian called to the men, most of who began to grumble and whine about how sore they were. Valerian didn't care if the soldiers were sore or not. Invaders and enemies didn't care if you were tired. You had to be ready at all costs, and Valerian knew that from experience. He rubbed his neck out of habit, a large thick scar running down his neck and along his back. One careless mistake and it could all be over. He refused to let that happen to these men, whether they acknowledged it or not. He decided he would go take a walk to clear his mind, and so Valerian decided to walk into the castle. He was greeted with strings of red ribbon and lights along the stairs and walls. Ah yes, the Princess was probably preparing for the festival. Valerian had always admired the princess and her love of the annual festival. It was cute how she allowed herself this free time, and her kind demeanor was refreshing from the constant complaining of his men. "Ah, Your Highness," He greeted her, bowing before her, "I see your festival decorations are in full effect. They look lovely as always." He said, smiling down at her. Valerian had always been fond of the princess, and his own demeanor seemed to soften whenever he was around her. "Are things coming along easily?" @Loni

Jasmine would hear the footsteps of her own favorite guard, the metal clanging against the carpeted stone floor. His warm smile met hers as she turned to see him bowing. As she turned her dress swirled around her, a gracefulness that was always surrounding the Princess, even in her downtime. "Oh! Hello, Valerian. Always a pleasure seeing you. And yes! Things are coming along rather nicely, actually. Some stew is being prepared to cook for the next day or two, and decorations are all coming together so beautifully. Obviously, I am not done yet, but when I am, this castle is going to look like a rose paradise!" She exclaimed softly, sighing dreamily as she looked around. If most in the castle knew anything about Jasmine, it would be that she was one; a hopeless romantic, and two; quite the event coordinator. And this event happened to fall into her lap, and it was the perfect concoction for the Princess. "Ah, a favor to ask of you, if you are not busy? There are some large marble vases that are going to be placed on the floor, and they're designed to hold huge arrangements of roses and flowers. Doooooooo you mind helping move them into the ballroom? "They are going to be placed in front of each pillar along the walls." She smiled at Valerian, batting her eyelashes in hopes of him agreeing. Not like he wouldn't...hopefully. @VaVaVicodin

Valerian's lips curled in a smile as he watched her smile at him. The Princess's warmth and beauty was unsurpassed by anymore, and he felt blessed to see it even if it was only a moment. Her planning and decorating was apparently going well and Valerian was pleased to hear it. He knew that the Princess could get a bit... upset... if things did not go right. He didn't want her to feel stressed about this festival. He blinked as she requested that he help bring some large vases to the ballroom. He chuckled softly, nodding. "Of course, Princess." He walked over to the vases and lifted each one with ease. Valerian had trained for years, so he was easily able to pick up some heavy vases. His sword was heavier than these. His muscles bulged and rippled as he lifted them, a soft grunt sounding as he stood. He followed the princess to the ballroom and set them where she requested. He turned, brushing the dust from his hands onto his pants. "Do you require any other assistant, Your Highness?" His tone held no amount of frustration. He would carry vases all day for her if that's what she wanted. Anything for her. Valerian was... in common sense... whipped.

Jas: When it came to her decorations and planning for festivals and events, Jasmine always went above and beyond what was expected of her. Whenever she had an idea, she would usually do everything in her power to execute it. But if things went wrong... The moment Valerian agreed, she breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you. I really needed someone strong." She watched him closely and smiled, seeing how he was able to lift the vases without difficulty. But, of course, she remembered that he was strong in the right way. Jasmine began to direct staff members as well as set up some decorations herself before Valerian approached her again and asked if she needed any more assistance. Glancing around, Jasmine noted that most of the staff had everything covered...except... "I know! Come with me, and we can taste test some of the food that's being made ahead of time!" She excitedly announced, gesturing to him to follow before hurriedly hurling off herself. If coordinating events wasn't her favorite thing, then food was.

Valerian chuckled as he followed the Princess to where the kitchens were. She was definitely food motivated, if that meant anything specific. He followed her without hesitation though. When they entered the kitchens, the staff bowed respectively to both of them. Valerian had a high standing in the castle ranks, and he also treated people with respect, so he was a welcomed sight. "Oh, Your Highness, we have just finished the samples you requested! I've made several items for you to try. Please come." The main chef, Linguini, called, beckoning the princess over. Valerian followed right behind, his large bulky stature almost intimidating to the others. The chef said nothing though, as he did not want to offend Valerian. He actually liked Valerian, so why would he say anything? On a large table sat plates of meat dishes, pastries, pastas, breads, desserts, fruits, and all other manners of party foods. Valerian stepped forward, giving Linguini a firm look. "All of this is edible for Her Highness, yes?" He said, glaring down at the man. Linguini gulped hard but nodded. "O-On my honor, Sir Valerian!" "Then prove it. Take a bite of everything." Linguini nodded rapidly, and quickly took a small forkful of everything. Once he finished, all the items had a tiny little mark on them. Valerian nodded. "Alright, Your Highness. You may eat now." @Loni

Jasmine would of course bow in return. She always believed that respect received should also be given, and she never took it for granted. Jasmine waved happily after to everyone, and made their way to the main chef after being called over. "Linguini!! Always a pleasure to try your food!" She would happily head over and begin eyeing over the options until Valerian took the reins on the situation. She tried to even speak up but...it just seemed tense. Jasmine spoke up once it was all over, and she looked to the two of them. "Well, I appreciate it, Valerian. But come on, it's Linguini!! He would never. If anything I think you just wanted a taste for yourself. You can have some too, you know! We all can." Jasmine rolled her eyes playfully, gesturing to the food before taking up some pasta. "Your food is always delicious, Linguini. I appreciate your cooking each and every time." The Princess spoke to the chef, practically glowing after having a decent bite herself. She would then turn to Valerian. "Well go on, Mr. Bossy. Have some food! I'm sure you're hungry anyway. It's all going to be amazing." Jasmine bowed her head to Linguini to dismiss him if he needed to be off doing something. It was a busy time afterall! @VaVaVicodin

Valerian sighed, shaking his head as the Princess simply told him that the chef would never. "Princess, I know you believe that, but, I have a duty to keep you safe." He wasn't going to let anyone hurt the princess. If he allowed someone to hurt her just because 'they would never.' The King would have his head on a spike in seconds! The Princess quickly told him that he could eat as well. He chuckled softly. "If that is what you wish, Princess." He said softly. He walked over and lifted a fork. He took a bite of some of the food, nodding as he chewed. With a swallow, he turned to the chef. "Very good, Linguini." He said softly. The chef nodded with pride, bowed before the Princess, and then rushed off to continue preparing the rest of the food. Valerian turned back to jasmine, his eyes scanning over her. "Do you have much more planning to do, Princess?" @Loni
