O: It was about 2 in the morning, Oliver had been in his car seemingly on the phone with someone. In the passenger seat rested a medium size case, appearing to looking like a guitar could fit inside of it. However, that was far from the truth, as inside of the case he carried contained a disassembled rifle. He carefully parked his car in a seemingly abandoned parking lot, the only light coming from the few lampposts that were scattered amongst it. Oliver placed the car in park and stepped out, looking around for any sign of law enforcement or federal agent. Once seeing the coast was clear he let out a small sigh, walking around the car and over to the passenger side, opening the door and grabbing the case carefully and then closing it. He then began waking away from the car, two clicks and a honk could be heard as Oliver locked his car. He then made his way over to what seemed to be a small water tower overlooking a neighborhood. Another small sigh escaped his lips, tossing the case up onto the metal platform in which a person could stand on. Oliver then climbed up using a ladder already attached, rolling his eyes and looking down towards the neighborhood. “This is such a bother, there’s definitely better spots than this one in the actual neighborhood.”* Midas said aloud, opening his case and taking the barrel and body of the weapon, constructing the rifle quietly as he kept looking down at the neighborhood. Tonight, the target in question was worth more than three million dollars, dead or alive—and so, Oliver simply couldn’t pass the opportunity up on such a high value target. However, what he was unaware of was that someone else had been after the same target, and he’d soon be met with the surprise of his lifetime. As he had finished constructing the rifle, he aimed down the scope, adjusting for wind drop and wind direction. Once that was settled, he began scoping out for his target, wondering what home they could’ve been in until seeing disco lights. Oliver then began looking for the target amongst the crowd, being sure to be absolutely careful not to pull the trigger unless he had been certain.

Word had spread that there was a party that night, and her target was there. Her boss assigned her this target, knowing it would be a piece of cake for her. And an easy prize, the money alone could allow her to take a break for a while. She drove towards the location but parked quite a ways away. Dom had dressed herself to look the part, like a young adult going to a party. She had her hair parted just right to hide her minuscule ear piece, and she had the poison strapped to her thigh. All she had to do was find the target, get them alone with their drink, and act. Dominique started walking, wearing a black minidress and strappy heels. She scanned the area for any other...problems...and unknown to her was a sniper looking for the same target. He could potentially even spot her before she could even think to look up. Her red hair flowed nicely and her makeup done, she made sure she wouldn't stand out though. After a few more glances around, she pulled out a cigarette and lingered outside, taking a few to 'smoke.' Yet another tool of her job however, a fake cigarette to allow her to even further blend in. It was just a matter of time to either see them stumbling out drunk, or her going in.

As Oliver scanned the environment, he made sure to occasionally glance out of the scope and around the area to make sure no one had been tracking him or worse. He would also make sure look down at a picture of the target, making sure to note noticeable facial features. As he continued fo scan for his target, Oliver had saw Dominique, wondering why she had been lingering outside. “Why are you outside?…I wonder…” Oliver mumbled to himself, continuing on with his mission. After a few minutes Oliver had locked on with the target. He had been on the second floor of the home leaning over the balcony with a couple of women. A small chuckle came from his mouth, and as he was getting ready he made sure to look down and look to see if the red haired woman had been in the area. Oliver then paused for a moment, wondering why he would even care if a person was under the body. He quickly aimed back up and got ready to fire again, taking a deep breath and aiming for the head. A gunshot rang out, and soon enough, the target had fallen off the balcony, with blood and brain matter falling out of a small hole in the middle of his forehead. Oliver watched the chaos unfold for a few seconds, before quickly beginning to dismantle the rifle starting with the stock. Once he had been packed up with some minor burns from the barrel, he hopped down whilst grabbing everything. After checking that he had all of his belongings, he began to run off back to his car, hoping no one would chase after him. Oliver would call his boss once he had been a safe distance away, but for now, all he could think about was escaping.

Dominique was ready to head inside and have a more stealthy approach, 'stomping out' her cigarette. She heard a shot, which made her stand on alert right away. None following, this wasn't a civilian...shit. She was too late. She looked up only to step away a few feet and watch as blood and other disgusting matter fell onto the pavement. Screams and people fleeing ensued. "Shit.." She quickly scanned the area, looking up and around to see someone on one of the rooftops... "Christ, of course." She pushed into her earpiece and contacted her boss. "I failed. There was a fucking sniper on the case tonight too...yes I know! I was following your plan! Ugh. Yeah whatever. I'm heading back." Dominique leaned down and quickly pressed a button on her heels, lowering them into flats. She quickly walked away to her car, still on the earpiece with her boss. "I didn't fuck up! I followed your instructions to the T!"

As Oliver approached his car he began to slow down to a walk. He began rummaging through his pocket and pulled out his phone before unlocking it and calling his boss. Once connected he began laughing in a joking manner and sighed quietly. “Mission accomplished boss, I expect my payment in the bank within two business days. You wanna go for a nice little trip? You can bring your wife and kids.” Oliver then rummaged through his pockets again, pulling out his keys and unlocking the car, placing the case in the back seat. He then popped the trunk, pulling out a pistol and cocking it back, revealing it to be loaded, before letting it rest by his side. Oliver closed the trunk, walking over to the back door and closing it before making his way to the drivers side. “Yes, I suppose we can go to Asia, I’ve never been so it should be a great time. But, are you sure you don’t want to go more…tropical? Like Hawaii perhaps?” He opened the drivers side, getting inside of the car and starting it with push to start. As the phone connected to Bluetooth he put it down on his lap, and placed the car into sport mode, just to make it sound and driver faster. Oliver then peeled off, driving out of the parking lot and towards the home. As he drove by the home he drove normally as to not make it seem too obvious that it was him—however, as he drove by he slowed down, looking at the body for confirmation before chuckling. “Yup, kill confirmed.” He then picked up his phone and opened the camera, snapping a photo, before speeding off. He wanted to make sure he wasn’t followed, and seeing Dominique gone was alarming to say that least for him.

Dominique was continuing to be lectured, she had let her boss down. Her boss spoke firmly through the earpiece. "Come back to headquarters, Dom. We'll figure out your next move then." Her boss sounded cold, angry...she knew this wasn't good. Who the hell took that kill from her? She grumbled as she walked to her car, unlocking it and making her way to her headquarters.

O: As Oliver drove back to his own headquarters, he couldn’t help but ponder on the red haired woman. So, he called his boss back, hoping to find some answers on the matter, and hoping it wasn’t another agent. As his boss picked up, he looked in the rear view mirror, before merging lanes to get on the freeway. “Hey boss, quick question. Do you know of any red haired women in our agency? Or any other agencies?” “Not that I know of, why?” His boss asked, his voice was somewhat deep, sounding a bit more monotone. “Well, there was this one woman there, she had red hair and was just…standing there, outside of the party. She had a cigarette but I don’t know if it was real or not.” Oliver explained, before a small sigh was heard over the speaker. “I’ll run a search and get back to you. In the meantime just come back here, god forbid they’re a fucking enemy agent. Can’t have you dead now, can we my good friend?” The man commanded with a small chuckle, seeming to be lighthearted about the situation. “Alright, I’ll catch you when I’m back at HQ.” And with that, Oliver hung up and sped to Headquarters, making sure to watch his surroundings just in case. Once returning to Headquarters, Oliver rushed up to the bosses office, and once there he had been waiting for him, holding a file in his hand before sliding it towards him. “This is Dominique, she belongs to an enemy agency and is now your new target. She is highly skilled so I’d be careful, and there is also some hidden ability she has? It’s covered here but just be careful, I know you don’t have to worry about that.” Oliver then chuckled, before shaking his head. “You got it boss, but if it’s alright with you I’m gonna look this over before I go.” Oliver then began walking over to the desk, taking the file and opening it to reveal pictures, information, and other things about the woman. “I’d assume she’d be after me, since I stole her kill?” He asked, to which his boss nodded. He then sighed, knowing he’d be in for a doozy before walking out with the folder, heading back to his car.

When she got back to her HQ, her boss once again lectured her ear off. That was until she got into the conference room. Her boss sat down at the head chair, gesturing Dom to sit as well. She hesitantly did so. Her boss spoke first. "Listen. This man took your kill. We had a stealth mission, he went rampant and shot someone in the fucking head, traumatizing people. I dunno who his boss is and why they thought that was a good idea, but he's your damn target now." Dominique sighed softly, gesturing with her hand to being forth the information as she spoke. "So, I'm guessing he's pretty good with guns, huh? That's a disadvantage to me, you know. I specialize in well, you know." Dom gestured over herself with a small laugh. "This isn't a laughing matter!" Her boss slammed the info on the table, then shoving it over. "I don't care if you need to be trained to fuckijg snipe him miles away, you do what you need to, to redeem your ass and take him out. He's a threat and competition to you, he could take all of your missions from now on. Do you understand?" Dominique nodded and opened the folder. "Just because it happened this one time unbeknownst me, it won't happen again." She eyed over the info. "Oliver. Huh." She studied his facial features, reading more up on him. "Anything else I should know?"

Oliver had been sitting in his car, quietly looking over Dominique’s file, whilst constantly gazing over at her picture. Her red hair to him was beautiful, and was just so captivating to him that he couldn’t look away. Oliver would flick through whatever past was available, nodding in amazement as he didn’t feel the need to verbally comment. Everything seemed normal accept for her hidden ability—what could. It be? The thoughts of what powers she could’ve had raced through Oliver’s head like a child. “She could have any ability she wants, but I’ll end her, hopefully get a huge reward too.” Oliver then received a notification, telling him half of the money had been deposited, which made him smile. “Oh this bitch is going down and I’m gonna get paid.” “Yes, he had an ability as well, we don’t know what it is so be careful—it could be dangerous and uncontrollable.” Dom’s boss added, watching as she took the folder. “Don’t do anything stupid Dom, for sake any for your survival. Now get out of here.” They then waved their hands, as a way to shoo Dominique out to do her job. Oliver sighed quietly, turning his car on and putting it into drive, taking off toward his home. He still couldn’t get Dominique out of his head, and it was beginning to bother him, as no one has usually stayed in his thoughts for so long.

Dominique sighed to her boss and nodded. "I know, I know. I won't do anything crazy. I'll stick to what I know." Dom stood up as she was shooed out, walking out of the room and down the lengthy halls. His image was burned into her mind now. She was determined, she had to get him back, and that involved his downfall. Scoring a pricey target like that just places one of his back now. Dominique didn't leave HQ yet. She headed to the weapons hall to refresh and update her personal stash. She had to be prepared for this guy, and able to fight back if it came down to that.
Avatar
Oliver also headed to his weapons hall as well, he grabbed a few new weapons such as an assault rifle, a submachine gun, and a what appeared to be pistol. He placed all three weapons in the bag, along with as much ammo as he could before going on to clean and update his weapons. He added new attachments, made sure they were all in working order, and headed out to his car. Once inside his car, Oliver looked for any locations that she could possibly be at. He figured that at the most, she’d be at her Headquarters, and so began to input its address, which thankfully was a local business building. He then began to drive off, following the GPS to his destination. It took a few minutes before Oliver reached her HQ. It was a bit odd how the two were so close to each other, which made him wonder if they even knew how close the enemy organization is to them. He pulled into a parking lot, making sure to stay in an unlit section of it, and simply watched for any sign of Dominique. He reached into the backseat, taking his pistol that he had gotten earlier from the trunk and double checking to see if it was loaded. Oliver was going to intimidate her with a few warning shots before leaving if she had been there, maybe even injure her is he so felt like it, all to prove a point not to mess with him.

Dom went ahead and grabbed a few things for herself. She wanted to cover all bases, close combat, ranged, you name it. She grabbed a knife, pistol, a few throwing knives as well, and then an AR. She wasn't the best with guns, but she knew she had to train quite a bit. And so she headed to the range within the HQ. She slung the gun over her shoulder, slipping the pistol into its holster. Making her way to the range, which was thankfully below ground level. Dominique stepped into the elevator and headed down. Dom would spend the next hour training herself, being graded by the range itself. She slightly improved but she wasn't satisfied. For all she knew, he could be specialized in guns and take her out without a bast of an eye. There had to be another approach to this, but she wasn't quite sure what yet...
Avatar
Oliver patiently waited for Dominique to come out. However, after about half an hour or so he grew bored and decided to be risky. He stepped out of the car whilst popping the trunk, closing the door and going into the trunk grab a shoulder holster and jacket. Oliver then put the two items on, sliding his pistol into the holster before zippering his jacket and sighing quietly. “This is already a hassle, I have to infiltrate to find the woman? Well, if she makes me find her I suppose I won’t use any practical weapons.” He said quietly to himself, before closing the trunk and heading into the HQ. Oliver looked around as he walked towards the entrance, not paying any kind of attention to the people who exited or entered the building. Once he entered, he immediately headed towards the elevator, looking at all the possible floors for any clues as to where she could’ve been. Oliver quietly clicked a button and went down, noticing no one else was with him, which made him nervous. As he descended, he made sure to keep track of the levels, noticing the elevator had stopped on the 45th floor. He stepped out, noticing that it had been a rather long corridor, and as he walked down the corridor, he could hear gunshots growing louder. He carefully approached the door, opening it slowly to see Dominique in the room using the range. He realized it had been her when he saw the red hair, and decided for now it was best to just watch. Oliver noticed how her shooting skills had been inferior to his which made him chuckle a little bit. He then opened the door a little more, attempting to see if anyone else had been in the room, but accidentally slipped and caused the door to swing and slam open. His eyes widened, and he immediately turned and bolted back towards the elevator as he didn’t want to be seen just yet. As he ran, Oliver unzippered his jacket and unholstered the pistol, getting ready to open fire if he had too.

Dominique whipped her head around as she heard the door slam open. She misfires due to this and misses the target. "Shit..who's there?!" She exclaimed, walking out of the room with gun in hand. Prepared for anything, as best as she could. To her surprise...she didn't see anyone. Her eyebrows furrowed, who the hell opened the door then? She walked back in and closed the door, making sure it was shut. She would return to shooting, trying different guns to find her tempo.

Thankfully, as Oliver ran there was ironically a large crate to the side of him. He dove behind it, and just in time too as Dominique walked out onto the hallway. Oliver would peek over, gun in hand as he watched her go back into the shooting range. “Holy shit, that was close…good thing this conveniently placed crate was here.” He joked to himself quietly, standing up once she had went back into the room. Oliver then approached again, this time with his gun drawn. He was listening for the sound of gunshots so he could open the door, and when she had began shooting, he opened the door once more. Carefully, Oliver approached, and once he was in grabbing distance, he locked his arm around her neck, applying pressure before putting the gun to her back. “Any sign youre moving and you’re fucking dead, do you understand?” Oliver asked with a deep and authoritative voice as he paused the barrel of his pistol into her back.

Dominique BOT 15-Sep-21 10:50 AM
Dominique froze up in pure surprise as she felt the arm around her neck, and the metal barrel against her back. She was confused for only a split second before it clicked. Her target came for her, in her own HQ. "Ahh...Oliver. My friend. You came for me in my own headquarters, how bold." She chuckled and sighed, looking at her own pistol in hand. "How about you let me put the gun down, hm? That sound fair to you?" She smirked to herself, awaiting his answer. The last thing she was going to let him have is the upper hand, and her gun put her at a disadvantage to her own skill set.

“Hmmm, I don’t think so, Dominique. In fact, let’s step away from the table of weapons, shall we?” Oliver asked quietly, not really giving her time to answer as he backed away from any form of table with weapons on it. “Now…” He said teasingly, before a few cracks were heard at their feet. Just then, the ground below Dominique froze, freezing her in place. “…Back to the matter at hand, why would you put a hung down with another person with a gun in the room? Surely you’d want a fighting cha- unless, you’re truly better with non firearms.” Oliver then chuckled, moving away from Dominique whilst taking her pistol out of her hands. “You’re frozen in place, no where to go, so don’t try it.” He then unloaded the pistol, keeping the magazine for himself.

Dominique sighed to herself, stepping away with his forced guidance. She kept quiet, until she found that her feet were frozen in place. "Oh, this is your power. Ice? Manipulating elements?" She would stay quiet once more, trying to plan out an escape, or means of attack. But he solidified where she stood, she had to think of something...

“Yeah, so far ice and it’s properties are all I can control…but, why are we talking about me? Let’s talk about you. You have beautiful red hair, for starters, and it’s a shame you have to die.” Oliver then rummaged through his jacket pocket before pulling out a flask. Once out, he slowly opened it and dropped the cap into his pocket. He then began to move his free hand, wiggling his fingers and moving his arm back as the clear liquid came up, before solidifying into ice spikes. “It’ll be as painless as I can make it…although you’ll have to bleed out for a few minutes.” He then looked up and down her body, before hearing the elevator door opening. “Shit…” He mumbled, looking back into the hallway before looking back to Dominique.* “If they ask, I’m a new member and we’re just training. Understand?” He asked, hearing the footsteps approaching quicker.

Her eyebrows rose in surprise as his demeanor suddenly changed. Who the hell did he think he was? Before she really had time to react, one of her higher ups opened the door. "Ah, Dominique, there you are. We have new equipment for you to try out for your current mission." He spoke, his eyes flickering over to Oliver. "Who is this? I don't remember you." Dominique then spoke up, she didn't have a choice really. "This is a new recruit. I'm training him and showing him the range, to see how well he does." "You're training him? Dom, you're ridiculous. He won't learn anything good from you, your talent is silent techniques with that power of yours."

Oliver froze as one of Dominique’s higher ups entered, not really having anytime to react as they flicked their view onto him. “Pleasure to meet you sir.” He said in a welcoming and non threading tone as he glanced back over to Dom, a small grin appearing on his face as he heard her use his lie. “Silent techniques, what do you mean? She didn’t tell me her power yet so I think that’s a little unfair.” Oliver explained, before letting out a small chuckle at his insult. “I’m sure that Dominique is an excellent agent…I have faith she’ll put up a challenge.” The higher up then glanced over to Oliver, before looking back to Dominique. He seemed to be ignoring the conversation between them, causing Oliver’s eyes to narrow. This is just what he wanted however, as Oliver’s narrow eyes hinted that he wasn’t of this organization. “Tell me Dominique, did I miss an orientation meeting? Surely I would’ve been called in for that, unless I missed something?” He asked, placing the equipment down on a table before sighing softly. “It’s a damn shame that you came into this facility thinking you could fool me.” He said, glaring at Oliver. “Tell me, what will you do? Kill me? Well, I’m not going to le-“ In an instant the man threw an object from the table, hitting Oliver in the head. Oliver stumbled back, a groan coming from him as the ice around Dominique thawed and melted around her, becoming noticing but water. He was disoriented, and stupidly fell onto the floor, shaking his head in an attempt to regain his senses. After a few moments, Oliver grabbed his pistol from his holster, and fired two bullets into the man’s head. The higher up collapsed, and Oliver stood up, beginning to run towards the exit. However, the water from his ice caused him to slip, falling onto the floor again. He then turned around, getting ready to defend himself if and when Dominique decided to engage him.

Dominique watched the scene unfold between the two, flinching as he shot her higher up. She sighed, knowing that he potentially just dug himself a deeper hole. Dominique watched him fall and stifled a laugh. She stared into his eyes, and he would suddenly feel his body cramp up. He wouldn't be able to move. She would walk over and place her foot on the base of his neck. "You've really fucked up coming here, Oliver."
Avatar
Oliver stiffened upon locking eyes with Dominique, a scream of pain coming from him as he felt his every muscle cramp up. The feeling was intense, and as Dominique approached and placed her foot on the base of his neck, he tried so hard to move. “Wha-What the fuck is this!?” Oliver screamed out again. He had attempted to move his arm, but when he did, it would spasm, causing another huge wave of pain to flow through his body. “I-I fucked up? No. You fucked up doing this! I’ll kill yo-“ He was then cut off by another groan in pain, and the foot on his neck seemingly pressed down, causing him to silence himself.

Dominique snickered, pressing her foot down more on his neck. "You'll kill me? Ah...it makes sense now." She removed her foot, not before kicking him in the stomach to add to the pain. "You see, now we know of each other's little powers. It just makes things more interesting, wouldn't you say so?" Dom spoke, grabbing a new gun off the rack and pointing it at him. "What do you say? A game of cat and mouse, or should I end that here?"
Avatar
Oliver chuckled through the pain as he looked around the area slowly. He was trying to find a way to stop Dominique’s power from affecting him, as the cramping in his muscles was excruciating. “I…don’t see why not? If…it gets this…pain off of me then I don’t care.” He groaned again, noticing she had pointed the gun at him. “It’s funny how you think I…fear death so easily. I’ve almost died 6 times, twice…on a table. Tell me, when was your first time almost dy-“ Oliver screamed out in pain as the cramping sensations increased. He needed to find the strength and the water to use his power, looking for the puddle he had created the best he could. However, it was out of sight, which caused Oliver to roll his eyes in aggravation. “What are the rules to this little game of yours?”

"We are sent to kill each other, no? That doesn't really happen often, especially for me. Usually I have targets, and if any come for me, I can get rid of them. But this....this is different." Dom smirked, leaning down and looking to him. "My first time I almost died, I was nearly hanged off of a roof, to be cut loose into the ocean. A body that could never be found." She would answer, sighing. "Anywho. Rules are, we never kill each other. Until we're sick of the game, that is. And if we are, code word is vodka. We can harm each other to prove that we've fought, because in reality.." Dominique grabbed her knife and rested it against his throat. "...we're both pretty good, yeah? It's believable. You're a newbie who's rising up pretty quick, and I've been around with a reputation. A match made in heaven." She teased, kneeling down and leaving her knife pressed there. "You game?"

Oliver couldn’t believe he had been getting himself into something such as a game of cat and mouse. “Fair, but he warned…I’ll keep toying with you until you break.” He threatened, glancing down at the knife to his throat and leaning his head down and pushing the blade into his skin a little. “I’m game.” He added, grinning at her statement of a match made in heaven. “Are you gonna let me…go now? Give me a head start?” Oliver asked, before attempting to move his legs. He groaned out in pain, feeling his muscles pull and contract with every movement. “This really fucking hurts good lord.” He groaned laying his head back down on the ground as he looked up to the concrete ceiling. He had began brewing ideas to injure Dominique and get her to breakdown under pressure. But, it was all just a matter of time.

Dominique looked downed on him and chuckled. His threats were meaningless to her, afterall, two can play at the game. However, with her boss now dead, it was only a matter of time before they would find him. And no one would be able to play the game. She lightened up on him and allowed him to stand, stepping back. "Get the fuck out of here before they stun and cuff you." Dom commanded, heading to her bosses body and picking it up. "It can be listed as an assassination, I will just be the one that found the body. There's an exit in the back of this room, a chute. Slide down that and then run."

Oliver quickly stood up, giving a dirty look before sighing quietly. “See you soon Dominque.” Oliver then turned, walking off towards the back of the room quietly. Once seeing the chute, his quickly picked up his pace, opening what seemed to be a door. He then hopped down the chute, sliding and eventually coming out into an alleyway. Quickly, Oliver ran to his car, a frustrated sigh escaping his lips as he unlocked it and sat down inside. He quickly drove off, seeing that there was an increase presence of guards and security. Driving to one of his homes, he pulled into his garage and groaned loudly, opening the door and walking inside to the living room, thinking on what to do with Dom whilst everything died down.
