Gem gladly accepted the bottle and took a drink, but when he recommended the mint leaf, she eyed it skeptically. “Are you trying to start a fi-” She took it as she spotted Anih coming up to them. She glared and chewed the leaf, okay maybe Atorian did have a point. She crossed her arms and looked away, watching the others aboard the ship start getting off.
Anih shook her head, kindly refusing his offer. “No thanks, I’m not much of a drinker any way and I freshened up when the sun rose.” At least Atorian was talking to her, but it kind of stung that her sister was ignoring her. “Mmm, I think exploring would be a good start. To get a feel of the area.” She talked as they walked, trying her best to avoid bumping into the other passengers that were departing. Anih glanced over at her sister who was walking on the other side of Atorian. “What do you think, Gem?”
Gem held up her hands and shrugged, still chewing on the mint. Okay, so maybe her harsh reaction was a bit overboard. She sighed, “I think the job board makes the most sense. The best jobs get taken quickly, no matter where you are. So, looks like you’ll need to be the tie-breaker, mint man.” Was she supposed to chew and then swallow, or spit the leaf out when done? Gem mentally shrugged and just swallowed it, no use wasting it. “Explore, or work?” She raised a copper eyebrow directed at Atorian.
