Yevin Catoor had been looking for love for several months. For the longest time, he had been committed to his career, but he could not lie to himself anymore, he was lonely. He decided to download a couple of dating apps on his phone and hadn't had much luck, but was able to find one match on Tinder. He had swiped right on this girl and had to begin to message her. Hitting it off, they decided to try out a first date.
Yevin smiled as he sat at his writing desk in his office of the Stillwater Times newspaper. He had been watching the clock slowly click away all day, getting the majority of his busy work done in the morning. As he took his last sip of coffee, he heard a knock at the door. A smile crept across his face as he lifted his head to see his best friend, Joe Watson, standing at the door. "Big night tonight," Joe said with a smile, "Are you prepared and ready?"
"I think so," Yevin declared as he stood up and walked towards the door, grabbing his jacket from the chair in front of his desk, "I haven't been on a date in so long, like what if she says hello and I bark or something weird like that." He jokingly said as he gave a friendly pat to his friends shoulder.
"Oh, quit," Joe said in a very flamboyant way, "You will be perfectly fine, a hunk like you, she will be smitten the moment she sees you in person."
Joe was quite, flamboyant and prideful to put it bluntful, but he was definitely Yevin's best friend, ever since they met at this very job. Yevin smiled to Joe, "I sure hope you are right, I will give you all the details tomorrow."
"Knock 'em dead, Tiger," Joe said as he turned to walk back down the hallway, with Yevin headed towards the elevators and doors of the building.
