Jack blinked in surprise as he released the fact that she could see him, his shoulder didn’t even go through hers making it clear that she believed him. Laugh and smile wasn’t enough to fool him, he had spent 300 years perfecting that trick and fooling him was far more difficult then one would expect. Before he could say anything though he was caught by surprise as he saw her suddenly get chased by a group of guys. Judging by the way she ran Jack was pretty certain that this wasn’t them playing.
He followed them into the school, flying through the air as the wind guided his movements before he came to a stop inside of the school. He glared as he saw them beat her he knew that people could be crappy and with how old he was as well as with his title of guardian of children he had probably seen the worst of people that no mortal had ever imagined but that doesn’t mean that he was used to it. Or that he had accepted it.
He doubted the others believed in him as well, and this was one of the few times that he was grateful for it, it meant that he didn’t need to be subtle. The snowflake scar on his arm began to glow not that he had noticed it so caught up in defending her. He saw it as a curse ever since he had first woken in that ice. Ignoring his earlier thoughts he slammed his staff into the ground icing it over with a thin layer of ice. The next time that they made a move to hit her they would all slip over feet struggling to gain traction on the ice and then when that wasn’t enough he let ice build up on the ceiling before it all feel down hitting the bullies on the head and shoulders making them need to scramble to get away as they all ran off slipping on the ice.
