Shortly after Kyana had arrived at the meeting place with Aang and his wife, a royal guard arrived at the entrance of the central government building where all the tribe leaders met to make decisions. The guards bore the fire nation's insignia, which was an unsettling sight to some of the citizens even all this time later, particularly the old ones that had lived through the horrors of Ozai's reign. But this was a peaceful party.
In the center of the phalanx was Firelord Zuko, his wife Mai, and a young man. He had jet black hair that was combed back neatly and gleaming under the arctic sun. His skin was a warm tanned colour, and his eyes were a marvelous golden-yellow. Like a pair of miniature suns.
"You sure about this, Firelord? I mean, I know I'm fierce and quite the charmer, but that was among the people in the fire nation. They're able to handle my fieriness, no pun intended. The people here are....soft. No offense to them."
Zuko in turn looked to the young man with a eyeroll and smile. "Try to keep that tongue of yours in check. I chose you for your boldness, but also your charisma. It will be needed if we are to succeed. Thankfully, the Avatar and I have conferred, and we agree that you and this ambassador should be a good mix. Please prove me right, Drago."
The young man willed a small fireball to appear in his palm, enjoying the warmth especially in a cold place like this. "I'll try, Sir. But I'll be surprised if this goes as smoothly as you think it will."
The phalanx stopped and parted as they reached the large doors. "Go. The ambassador for the water nation will be inside. Good luck. You are one of our finest. I have complete faith in you," Zuko said. Drago smirked confidently, pushing the doors open.
"You and me both, my Lord." With that he walked into the room.
"He has a big head. You sure about him?" Mai asked once he was gone.
"I'll be honest...if Aang didn't think so, I would have my doubts. Hopefully he's right," Zuko replied.
