Lord Flukii Dego was part of the Empire's Commendation Association. Her task today was to bestow some fancy title and a couple of medals on some of the most prolific bounty hunters the Sith had ever seen. Well, especially the one that was actually a Sith.
While the Empire did work with Mandalorians and smugglers and all sorts of different types of galactic scum and villains, it was rare for a Sith, herself, to pursue bounty hunting as a career path. Most Sith went directly in to politics - because that was the best way to better one's station in their society, after all. But some struck out on their own, did their own kind of thing, and Flukii was intrigued.
She was part of a small delegation that was performing this ceremony - but she was decidedly the only alien among them. The rest were humans or pure blooded Sith - and the pureblood was actually a Darth, and the head of the Association. Whatever he said was the law, and Flukii had learned better than to try to argue with him. It was futile, especially when the humans ganged up on her with him.
She was lucky she'd even gotten this position to begin with, even though it was clearly below her skill and power. But it was a job, it kept her fed and housed her in a comfortable penthouse on Dromund Kaas, just outside of the citadel itself.
The ceremony would begin shortly. She was stationed in a small alcove outside of the ceremony hall itself. There was a dull roar of the crowd of Imperials sitting in the neatly arranged rows of chairs. They would be filing in the recipients of these awards shortly. And she would do her duty of pinning medals on to uniforms - that was all she got to do. So boring. She could be making terrific speeches about the amazing things these Bounty Hunters had accomplished. But no, they kept her silent and she kept her head down.
