Nothing makes you feel more at ease like the warm cozy atmosphere of a good café. You could see the world ending through the window front on the outside, but nothing can break the calmness inside. Subtle chatter, warm drinks, freshly baked sweets. The perfect place to relax your muscles after a sturdy workout.Ruby was lucky enough to find herself inside of the café before it began pouring outside. Warming her cold hands against the cup of steaming peppermint tea, next to it a vanilla and chocolate icecream cup. Decorated with cookies, chocolate glaze, more grated chocolate and a Ferrero Roche in the middle. This was well worth the money and calories. Her eyes followed the trail of smoke escaping from the cup. As whimsical as the taste that came from the tea or her ice, the café just feels like it's own impenetrable bubble. Her thick dark green raincoat was hanging on the coat hanger by the door. Ruby was sitting in the booth by herself next to the heating, wearing a plain black hoodie and a pair of round copper glasses. Her necklace hanging outside of her clothes. Her beanie and gloves were placed carefully on the heating before, so she could have a warm welcome when the time would come to leave. It took her a moment to find her book, which has wandered to the deepest depths of her rucksack. Under her empty water bottles, glass cases and spare clothes, she triumphantly extracted her newest book. Say you're Sorry- Michael Robotham. She had already read the first dozen pages at home before leaving, she finally had some peace to continued it after her workout. She leaned back and relaxed against the fabric of the booth. The low jazz tune playing in the background becoming nothing but whitenoise to her.

Valencia let out a frustrated sigh as she looked out the window of the gym. Of course it had to start raining when she was ready to leave! That was just.. fantastic. Valencia shook her head in disbelief. What absolutely rotten luck. This day was already turning into a shit show! Tying her fluffy pink hair into a messy bun, Valencia gathered her gym bag and purse. She glanced back into the gym for one more hopeful glance at who she could only suspect was the most gorgeous woman in the world. When Valencia had first walked into the gym, she saw a tall muscular woman lifting weights, her long ebony hair tied back, her gorgeous caramel skin glistening with a thin sheen of sweat as she flexed her muscles. Valencia's cheeks burned just thinking about her! But, while Valencia went to shower after her workout, the woman had left! Valencia was kicking herself, praying that maybe the woman was just in the bathroom. But, after fifteen minutes of lollygagging, the woman didn't appear... Valencia sighed sadly. She should have just asked for her number when she saw her!! "Dammit..." She mumbled unhappily.

Valencia exited the gym, holding her arm over her head in a futile attempt to shield herself from the rain, she jogged towards a near by café. She so needed a fucking latte after this shit storm of a day. Entering the café, Valencia let out a sigh of relief. Finally. She was out of the rain. She shook her head, droplets of rain falling onto the floor. Stepping into line, the barista recognized Valencia and smiled. "Pumpkin Latte, Val?" "Extra whipped cream and cinnamon." "Shitty day?" "You know it, Jessie." Valencia laughed. She handed the girl a ten dollar bill, and put the change in the tip jar. She grabbed her latte once it was ready and she turned, ready to go find a seat to sit and wait out this rain. But, when Valencia turned, her eyes landed on... Her. "No fucking way." Valencia whispered. There she was! The raven haired beauty!!! Swallowing hard, Valencia slowly made her way towards the woman. She was reading. Shit. Shit shit shit! She shouldn't interrupt her! But, before common sense kicked in, Valencia found herself speaking, and standing in front of the woman's table. "H-Hi! My name is hot and I think you are Valencia." She stumbled. Valencia's eyes widened and she clapped a hand over her mouth. "O-Oh my God. I am so sorry! I-I mean...." Valencia felt tears sting her eyes as embarrassment flooded her senses. "Fuck.... I... I didn't mean to say that out loud, or...that stupidly..."

Ruby noticed someone approach in the corner of her eye. Oh god, why did it have to be now. The book was just becoming to get interesting and she didn't manage to continue it for the while. Ruby tried to hide her annoyance at first, but as her eyes darted up to meet the other women's gaze, it dissapeared completly. She's... pretty, cute, too cute to be drenched... and that hair... Many things that were momentarily kept locked in her mind. She stared at her for a couple of seconds, her brain circuits shortly not working as she processed the image before her. Too much to process, ERROR ERROR. Ruby came back to reality when Valencia's lips moved. She brushed back the long strains of her covering her hear, revealing an pair of earphones, the cable connecting to something in her pocket. She plugged her the earphone out of her ear, leaning slightly closer towards the woman. It seemed as though fate had granted Valencia a second chance. "Excuse me, did you say something?" Ruby had a rather deep, but soft spoken voice, which neared no sign of an accent. She noticed the beverage in her hand, and seeing how she probably wanted to dry herself a little, Ruby gestured towards the free seat opposite to her. "Why don't you sit down and say it again Valencia? Get nice and warm, you don't want to catch a cold, don't you?" No shot she was going to let that girl slide by. @Vava

The woman gave her permission to sit, and so, Valencia sat, holding her latte in her hands, her cheeks bright red with blush. "I-I was just saying that... U-Uhm... I saw you at the gym, and I wanted to say hi!" She blurted. Valencia normally didn't have such trouble talking to people, especially woman, but damn, there wa something about this woman that just made her flustered! "Sorry to be this bold, but frankly I've had so many people tell me they knew the book I was reading, only for them to actually have never heard it. You're not one of them, right?" She said with a raised eyebrown. The truth about it was, Ruby didn't mind too much. Sure, it was a little annoying at times, but more often than not she got a good laugh out of the people. Besides, that person could never had touched a book in her live and Ruby would find her attractive. Though that wasn't the most docile conversation starter. Thankfully it didn't seem that way, but the woman quickly mentioned that she wasn't too sure Valencia was telling the truth about reading the same book! Valencia laughed softly, nodding. "I pinky swear I have read the book! It's one of my favorites, actually." She smiled. "So, what sweet do you want?" Making a scene over such a minor topic, that wouldn't really help anyone at that point. She propped her elbow on the table, a little stronger than she meant to, which was undermined by an embarassed grin on her face following the loud thud. Ruby made a fist, popping her pinky finger out reaching for Valencia. Might as well go the whole route. "Alright dear. Pinky promise it is. I don't bite." As she waited for Valencia to give in, her eyes darted towards the counter and glass front of the café, scanning for the most delicious treat she could find. Her eyes landed on a Japanese style cheesecake. The inviting, glistening white color making Ruby forget for a split second about her company. A classic with a modern twist, and tons of calories. That giggle. Oh, that sight was sweeter than the cake itself. Ruby's heart could have bursted, plus she was just holding her. Albeit, only the pinky, but holding nonetheless. Ruby kept her composure, not giving off anything but a slight red tone on her cheek, easily missed among her tanned skin. The corners of her mouths shot up when Ruby noticed Valencia coming back to their seat with the cake she had eyed before. Her eyebrows rose as well when she deposited the cake on the table. "Lucky guess? Or mind reader? Which is it?" She murmured, her sight not wavering from the dish. She reached for one of the forks, spinning it on the knuckles of her fingers. "You know, I was meant to pay for that. I'll let that slide this time since you're super cute, but the next one is on me." There was no if in her voice, Ruby clearly stated that there would be some next time.

Ruby eyed Valencia as she took the first bite of the cake. I could just watch this all day. Her chin was resting on her hand, a small arching over her face which she tried to cover with her fingers. Ruby then noticed the smudge of whipped cream on Valencia. Without thinking much about it, Ruby leaned forward, arching over the table, to clean of the piece of cream on Valencia's face with her thumb. It felt so out of place, so much that Ruby didn't think twice about her action. Really, she didn't think at all, it was a no brain move, and the flush on her cheeks showed that she had realized the situation herself. "Uhm, uh, eh..." Unable to compose a sentence. She was a mess. Not moving. Keeping her thumb on Valencia's lip.

The moment Ruby's thumb pressed to her lips and brushed the whipped cream off of her mouth, Valencia's face burned like a bright red sun. What. The. Fuck. Ruby seemed to short circuit, and stammered a meek reply, but, Valencia only smiled sweetly before she turned her head ever so slightly and pressed a kiss to Ruby's thumb. "Thanks for keeping me clean." She winked. Best to try to make her feel better rather than draw attention to the action in a negative way, not that Valencia disliked it! She actually adored the sweet gesture. It had been so freakin cute!!

It felt good. Knowing that she wasn't the only one, red as a tomatoe. It was way easier to notice it on Valencia's snowhite skin, even though Ruby was burning up just as much. And the smile that followed from Valencia didn't make it any better. When Ruby's brain finally rebooted, she drew back her arm, sitting back in her part of the booth. A cool person would have now liked the cream off her finger, but Ruby's braincells weren't up for the task right now. She closed her eyes, and took a -visible- deep breath, her shoulders raising with the air she inhaled. Through her nose, out of her mouth. She managed to calm herself down. Wiping off the cream on her pants. "No problem." What do you even respond to it. At the very least, Valencia wasn't pissed, instead seemed to enjoy how Ruby made a fool out of herself. She chuckled and shook her head at the absurdity of the situation. "Now, look what your cute face made me do."

Valencia couldn't wait to plan the date! What would they do? Where would they go? She was so eager all she wanted to do was text Ruby right now!!! She grabbed her phone and went to text her, but... stopped. No. No she couldn't text her 'right now.' That would make her way too desperate!! Valencia sighed, walking the twenty minute path to her home. Should she? No. She should wait. But what if she waited too long and Ruby thought she wasn't interested?! Valencia made it home, albeit far more slowly because she was walking while looking at her phone. She kicked off her shoes and took off her coat and hung it up. Biting her lip, Valencia began to text Ruby. 'Hey! It's Valencia! Sorry if this is so quick, but- I'm free this Saturday after 6pm! Want to meet up Levi's?' Levi's was one of the local restaurants that had a good variety of options in case Ruby had sensitivities to specific foods. Valencia felt her fingers shaking as she hit 'send.'

The other woman took her leave a little slower. Carefully wrapping herself up before even thinking of going on the outside. Her black gloves, orange scarf and black beanie were all warm by previously staying on the heating. So cozy... then came her dark gree jacket. One last check to see if any spots were still bare. All good, she left for her appointment. She had about a 15 minute drive to get all the ecstasy out of her body and put on her classy, professional face. Which was pretty hard, given how she was blasting music like "Because I'm happy" and "Heatwaves" on the speakers while she cruised through town. It was a boring old meeting which she dreaded, but alas work was work. Ruby's phone was turned off for the whole time of her work, only glancing on the screen after arriving home, taking off her white shirt and tight black pants she changed into beforehand. Throwing herself on the bed with a warming bottle and heating turned on, she didn't bother to put on her PJ's. Just laid there in her undies. That was when she read Valencia's message from a couple hours ago. She replied to it pretty quickly.

Ruby Rotten💋: Hey Sexy! Saturday works for me. But I'd prefer to go out of town, a little more elaborate. I'd know just the place for it. Don't worry, I'll drive. P.S. you're not going to get away from that name anytime soon 😜

' Valencia typed back, wondering if Ruby would respond quickly. Where would they go? Would it be an overnight trip, or just a dinner? Either worked for her!!

The remaining week had flown by in an instant. Long and tedious work days felt shorter, knowing there was a reward waiting for her at the end. The day of their date, Ruby painted her nails in a matt black, which she thought would look lovely in her outfit. A beige turtle neck sweater, short black jeans, black thigh highs, and high black boots. The outfit was completed by a velvet red coat and a golden cross necklace. One of her favorite combinations. Her hair was the only messy part contrasting the rest of her get up. She sat in her fancy outfit during her whole working hours, which felt surprisingly refreshing. As soon as her shift ended, she clocked out. Closing up and rushing into her car in record time.

The car was parked exactly 13 minutes later. A dark black Audi A8. Blue lights illuminating the sides of it. Spoiler and custom exhaust pipe. Inside was similarly tuned, brown leather seats, custom speedometer, the same blue light from the sides.

She then checked herself in the mirror by her door one more time before she left her apartment. Valencia got downstairs and out the building and saw the dark black Audi. Valencia walked up and saw Ruby in the driver's seat. With a wide smile, Valencia opened the door and got inside. "Hey there, gorgeous!" She cooed to Ruby.
