The sunlight was bright on the morning of this cold December day. Lucas parked the car he was driving on the side of the curb and smiled softly a she looked up at his new apartment. "Well..Here it goes, the start of a new life." Lucas turned off the car his keys in hand and grabbed his bags out of the back and headed up to the stairs with a smile on his face, as he opened the door and headed up the stairs. Rounding the bend, he started counting the rooms until he had found his. "101..102...103...Aha! 104...Home sweet home." Lucas said with a laugh as he unlocked the door and walked in to his new home, He set his bag down and checked his phone waiting on the mover's to bring the rest of his thing's. He smiled again as he started to walk around the apartment, getting a feeling of where he was going to put things. "I do believe that this is going to be perfect.." Lucas said to himself as he looked out of the window and began to day dream. (edited)

The apartment in question was, in fact, haunted. News clippings, articles, and once or twice it even made television news that this was the case. it was always the same, a girl looking like she was about to jump off, only to vanish seconds later. That girl was named Layla. Her official story was that she committed suicide during a break up with her boyfriend, and thats what caused her death. though, enthusiasts had found evidence that there was abuse involved in their relationship, from either party Layla was stuck, like always, in place on the window ledge. She was hardly visible, since the sunlight made it almost impossible to view. and then the background of the city scape made it even more impossible She hoped this encounter with a human would be much different than any previous encounters, since her life (and further death) had been ignored by many people, which is what led to her death she moved to the other side of the ledge, almost behind the wall, and waited until nightfall. when she knew she would be visible, she steps out from the wall and shows herself, a tad anxious ( @Lucas Morningstar )

It getting closer to nightfall he had gotten all of his items and they were scattered, He sighed and smiled as he ran his finger's through his long hair. A soft chuckle left him as he walked into the kitchen and started putting things in the fridge and the freezer. A quiet debate going on in his mind as he decided what to make to eat. "Hmm...choices choices.." Lucas had said to himself as he closed the fridge and looked to the window. He knew of the story but he paid it no mind, as he felt all things should feel love, and that included the place he now called his home. Lucas looked up at the right time, and saw the woman that appeared out of no where and a smile appeared on his face, no fear or concern was visible. "Well..Hello there, thank you for coming out of hiding." Lucas smiled as he looked to the female and put his hands on his pockets, as he leaned against a counter his eyes sparkling. "who are you?" she says, staying at the ledge. she was clearly a bit hesitant being around him, from how she didnt come fully into view. her tone was almost lifeless, certianly cold and distant. "and why are you in this apartment?" she had clearly met the wrong sort of people. she looks down at a car honking down on the street, then back up at Lucas, curiosity in her eyes ( @Lucas Morningstar

"My name is Lucas Sias..I just recently rented out this apartment." A warming smile came across his face as he spoke, he tried to show warm and true feelings in his eye's a she looked back to the woman. "I hope you don't mind me being here, It is such a lovely place I would love to give it the warmth of life all over again." ( @Lil Beanz )

"and if you did, its not like I could do much to change it again. after all, i cant acutally go anywhere" she says, just as cooly. she sits on the ledge, her back toward the city. she watches him for a second before saying "why do you care about this appartment in particular?" ( @Lucas Morningstar

A slight chuckle left him, as he took a drink from his glass. Running a hand through his hair as he looked away for a moment then looking back at the woman.* "Im not..what you would call normal..Things that go bump in the night so to speak..Intrigue me....and..I feel like I am at home here." Lucas said as he finished his drink, slipping the hair tie from his wrist and put his head down, letting all of his long hair down so he could put it all up. ( @Lil Beanz )

"hm, that makes one of us. if you think Im here to be your 'entertainment' you are mistaken. I can assure you, you arent the first to have shown up here looking for a good story" she says, slowly standing from her sitting position. she was put on edge by someone else in the same apartment with her ( @Lucas Morningstar
