It was late in the evening, around 7:50pm with the sky dark and faint signs of stars could be seen in the sky. Or were they satellites? Who knows? The light pollution in this town was trash anyway. Once you got away from the town only then did it start to clear and stars were more visible.
People were walking here and there along the sidewalks in the park. It was fairly large, and the plants here were well taken care of, making it a popular spot for dates. Andi didn't really care too much for relationships after a situation that happened a couple years ago from his ex. All he really remembered was that his ex had been keeping secrets behind his back, one that involved them seeing another person on the side. The thought of it pissed him off. Andi took a breath for a moment to clear those thoughts and exhaled.
"Don't worry about it, Andi.. They were a piece of shit.. We don't associate with shit."
The streetlights that illuminated the park gave off a feeling of tranquility, almost. While there were people here and there walking through the park on dates and such, Andi was just finding a place to sit and relax. It'd been quite the day trying to book a gig at the local bar in town. Stacey's Bar and Grill. They had some pretty good food and the drinks there weren't half bad either. All he needed to do was wait and see if they'd call him back.
Reaching into his pocket and pulling out his cellphone to check his messages. Nothing so far. His attention was drawn to the large fountain in the center of the park, made out of white granite and had what looked to be koi fish statues that spit out water into the fountain where actual koi fish swam around. He walked towards the fountain and sat on the edge, peering into it where little lights illuminated the fountain. The dark-haired male rested his hand in the water, letting his fingertips drag along the sides of a multi-colored koi.
"We're both doing the best we can, right? You'll wish me luck for this gig, won't you?"
