Elena woke up to sunlight coming into her room with her parents opening the blinds. Elena groaned and slowly looked at them like they were crazy. “ Mom are you serious right now !? It’s like seven am in the morning. I am not getting up this early nope not happening. “Elena groaned and picked up her pillow and put it over her head. Elenas mom laughed shaking her head. “ Honey you are here to visit. So up and atom also aren’t you excited to see your best friend. He’s been dying to see you literally. “That brought joy to Elenas ears. “Yes mom I am happy to see Cal. I just, I just wanted to sleep in longer. “ Elenas room was very pretty the walls were white. She had a black canopy bed with blue curtains around it. With blue and white bedsheets. Her dresser were white with blue diamond knobs to pull the dressers open. Then a blue carpet that sat in front of her bed. Then you have the best part the balcony, this girl had her own balcony, along with bathroom. “ Well I suppose I’ll let you sleep in …but once cal gets here I can’t promise he will let you sleep. “ Elena just laughed imaging shoving him off the bed. Elena was very excited to see him but worried at the same time. Ever since she moved away. Cal would be extra clingy checking in on her. Which she loved but whenever he finds out the truth and she was dating someone and never told him. Let alone they broke up and she lost her job. Caleb was excited, he woke up bright and early, 6:00 am to get ready, it was so long since he’d seen El. He couldn’t wait…maybe today would be the day he confessed his love to her…. He arrived at Elena’s home and her mom let him in, telling him to be quiet. He happily nodded and thanked her, sitting on the edge of Elena’s bed. “Wake up, Trouble, time to get up.” He grinned and ripped her covers off of her.

Taking a deep breath in. “Um so about that funny story. “ Elena laughed but cleared her throat. “ I ended up dating a girl and well um we broke up three months ago. Then I got let go in my job. Then worked with a few people but that didn’t end well. I have been drinking a lot. Haven’t fed in about two weeks. Along with not eating. Elena could smell the bed. Once she could smell the metallic scent. Her eyes went from normal to a ruby red. Elena speeded over to him taking his wrist. Elenas fangs extended then she bit into his wrist drinking from him. Elena continued for a little while but then she pulled away. Wanting to make sure not to take to much. Once she fed her eyes back to normal. Which meant her hunger was satisfied. Elena never told her parents she fed off him. Which her parents wouldn’t of approved of. Because in their eyes they found it disgusting. To the point they drank animal blood. El laughed and put up the stuff. Then she looked down at her closed and groaned. Using her vampire speed she quickly changed clothes. Into a wonderful black dress with leggings that had a red bow at the waist to tie in the back. Elena quickly tied it smiling. Once she was done she walked downstairs to grab her flats. Along with her dress coat put that around her. “Hey mom we are going out for coffee okay. We might not be back till a little later. “ Elena said loudly enough for her mom to hear. As her mom always panicked when they were out so late. Caleb loved being this close to Elena, he always liked her cheery demeanor despite her being immortal and….eventually going to outlive him. “Dodging questions as always then?” He teased her. “Nothing much has changed, a couple people from high school got married…..divorced….a few are now meth heads….” He thought over everything. “That’s about it.” Caleb laughed, just happy to be with his best friend again. “As for saving up…..that’s a secret~” he grinned at her, knowing she’d be dying to figure out. The day was in fact very nice, he enjoyed the changing colors and the scent of rain. Elena nodded and she holded his hand and continued to walk down the street. Elena decided to start playing some music. While they had their adventure. And she was playing Dont stop believing. Which she was singing so loudly till they got to coffee shop. Some people joining in singing the song. It was was just something magical from a movie. Everyone was happy hear. It was the city that had the least crime in the world. Which was great but also bad because if Elena ever went on a feeding frenzy it would absolutely cause problems. But she promised herself to keep calm and relax when ever she got hungry. Which in return she made a promise to herself that she would only feed from the seek. The ones that knew they weren’t gonna make it. Once Elena got to the coffee shop. She walked in and went up to the counter ordering a caramel frappe. While she ended up ordering some eggs and hash-browns. Due to her being starving and so she could share with Cal. Elena said hi to one of her old friends. It was nice to relax and have some fun for once, the city itself may be nice, but when you have no one to enjoy it with….what’s the point? Elena looked at him coughing a little bit. Once the guy left she slowly started to calm down and she looked at him. Then smiled at him winking trying to make it seem like it was all fake to get the guy to leave. But in reality she was messed up. After this she definitely needed to feed. Which is what made it difficult for her now. “ Yep I’m all good. Just ya know being me !”She laughed bouncing up and down eating her food. At the notion of the ‘surprise’ Caleb felt his heartbeat quicken and he stammered his words. “I-Um..well….” He took a deep breath. “We’ve known each other for so long El and I’ve had feelings for you, for a long time and now that you’re back, I feel it’s the right time to ask…..would you….like to take our relationship to the next level?” He asked nervously and awaited her answer, worried she’d reject him and he’d be left without his best friend anymore.

Caleb smiled at her, loving every word she said. Knowing she meant it all, he kissed her cheek and held her hands. “Thanks Trouble~” At the comment of surprise party he blushed and looked at the ground. “Yeah…..they asked me to keep you distracted for awhile……” He found himself even happier than before. “Let’s get inside to the theatre!” As they entered, they were greeted by all the new release and looked around, Caleb let her search for a movie while he went and bought popcorn and snacks.

Elena looked at him then started jumping up and down. “We are going to see the new venom movie. Like right now. “ Elena said jumping with glee. But the glee slowly left her body when she got a message with her dad. But she quickly put her phone away smiling at Caleb. “ Alright you got the snacks along with the drinks. I think we got everything. Now all we need to go is get two tickets for the new venom movie. Come on it will be fun. “ Elena said kissing him passionately. For Elena it was hard because their was one huge thing Elena never mentioned anyone. Which was her parents wanted her to be with a specific person from the vampire family. Who apparently is gonna be there tonight. Elena tried not to let it bother her. As honestly it was her and Caleb’s time. But thinking about it what could truly happen if she said no. Elena has never said no to her parents before. Honestly they might laugh at her. But once they realize she’s serious. Well that’s a different story for her. @Preacher
