Doren Iyones
Leader of “the savages” whom have no given name, but are considered savages by the council of the domes
Doren was among the few who survived the Great War, only a boy of 15 when the last gunshot rang out and the war crept to a halt. His mother, Aryana, was his only family left once the fighting ended. His father and brothers never came home. That day he swore to protect his remaining family with his life, and has done so since…. Until now. On an expidition into the ruins for more supplies, Doren and his mother were ambushed by men in white and yellow suits, they took his mother and beat Doren inches from death. As he lay there in his own pool of blood, hearing his mother’s screams, a toil of anger boiled inside of him. He vowed these people would pay for whatever they were going to do to her, no matter the cost to himself.
Doren and his mother met a small group of men shortly after the war’s end, soldiers who had deserted their stations when all hope seemed to be lost. They taught Doren and Aryana to fight, both in ranged and close ranged combat. For years, they scavenged the lands for whatever supplies they could find and people they could save. Before Doren was 20, the men who had trained him had all died off from one illness or another - starvation, fever, infection… the world was cruel, and it hardened the young man’s heart to it’s hardships. Wordlessly, Doren became the leader of his people. He had been the only one to last as long as the beginning while also caring for the others. They looked up to him, trusted him, and Doren gave them no reason not to. Once his mother was captured, and Doren returned to camp to find out she was not the only one, he promised every one of his people that the men in white would pay for what they had done. They dig pits outside of their freshly built dome, set patrols to check the pits daily, and waited diligently for their opportunity to arise. The war had only begun.
