Marianne set her cup of coffee on the plain white vanity in front of her, those golden speckled emerald eyes lifting to look at the other woman in the mirror. She was fixing the curls on her head with dainty fingers, a concentrated furrow to her brow. After spraying the last bit of hair with hairspray and patting it down with her comb, she stood back and held her tools up at her sides triumphantly, “finished!” she exclaimed. Marianne slowly rose to her feet and turned towards her hairstylist, a charming smile lifting her Ruby lips as she took the hairstylist’s hand into her own. That familiar, tantalizing rush of energy flooded up her limb and forced her heart to begin to race. She could see the hairstylist growing ever so slightly tired by the second, but she was not greedy and would let her soft hand go after getting her fix. “Thank you, you’ve done a wonderful job once again.”
The women stepped out of the dressing room, the long black tool skirt flowing around her calves as she walked confidently through the hall to the main photoshoot. Her torso was covered with a large blouse, which was white, that had its top three buttons undone. It had been splattered with fake blood, and so was her Ruby lips and neck. How ironic she thought when she received the details of the photoshoot, but she accepted nonetheless. She wondered what her partner looked like, hoping that his energy didn’t taste like four day leftovers that sat on the counter the entire time. She would, in fact, have to be rather intimate with him for the shoot. Vampiress seduces her lover was the premise. Oh, if they only knew.
She rounded the corner with her hairstylist in tow, her piercing green eyes wafting over the crimson couch that was draped with satin white sheets and black roses. They really had gone all out, but Marianne didn’t care as long as she got paid. She was met by the photographer who stepped up to her and grinned widely at her, “marvelous. Absolutely stunning.”
