The world was different than he remembered. The pantheon had ceased to act as gods. They no longer needed to oversee the fragile humanities. Seasons rolled in their rotations and the stars spun between their places. Few did their duties with the same ferocities. It all was idle stagnation. Some went to humanity, reveling in their advancement, and other remained in the endless parties of Olympus. He knew one was nearing death. This had been the closest he'd been to anyone else for a long time. Thanatos still dressed in the fashion of the old age, a gray himation and chiton. He leaned heavily onto his scythe and half limped forward. He knew the last time he'd been seen was the Peloponnesian war and that had been a long time ago.... @꒰celestial shae ꒱ ༉‧₊˚.

Pain. Searing pain even. He could feel it throughout his whole body, the kind of pain that hurt so badly that you almost couldn't decipher whether it was painful at all or whether everything was going numb. Or perhaps that was his mind going. He no longer knew. He was sure he would lose his mind if he kept this up, his thoughts dwindling from meaning to wondering whether he had feeling in his legs, whether his fingers could still curl into fists or whether his body would grow stiff and movement would cease soon. They had left him for dead after all. Though he supposed he had deserved it. It didn't change that it hurt though, his body alight with pain, limbs shaking as he stared up at the sky. Kai had never felt anything like this, dying, I mean. After all, while he had been through several close encounters, he was sure that he had never been pushed this close to the brink. A knot curled and tightened in his throat, making it hard to speak let alone breathe, his eyes fuzzy as he let them fall closed. He wished he had had more time. Kai had never been one for the sentimentals and yet in this moment, he wished he had lingered a little longer in this world. Explored a little more and truly lived his heart out to its true content. He had never fallen in love, nor opened his heart to the mere idea. He hadn't even truly made any lasting friends, all fading away as the seasons ended. Many nymphs were like that after all, and male nymphs were even more rare than anything else. He frowned and opened his eyes, fuzzy gaze attempting to focus when he saw someone standing above him. Blinking several times, he attempted to focus, smiling weakly. He had been burned, the worst possibly thing that could happen to a nymph of the sea, the look of his ears and even skin giving him away. It was unsure whom had done this to him, yet the flames had left him in such a condition where he couldn't even entirely think straight. His eyes focused ever so slightly and he forced a weake

ned smile, "Come to get me, death?" he croaked out, lips slightly proud despite the fact that he was in pain, limbs shuddering as the flames that remained curled around him. "Guess so..." He whispered, a tired sigh escaping his lips as he wondered whether death was as painless as everyone had once told him. @Vox

He looked down at him and sighed softly, sinking to sit by him. He waved a hand and pushed away the remaining ash and coals. "Poor thing." Carefully he lifted him onto his lap. Thanatos' touch was cold and soothing, his empty eyes looking through him. Most who saw Than called his eyes dead; pale ice blue that bled out onto the whites. The underword burnt his eyes and made his hair white. His hands soothed Kai's pain as Thanatos cradled his head in his lap. "I am sorry friend. But there is no next place for nymphs. You will become one with the sea again." He whispered, petting back the nymphs curls. He could hear Nymph's behind him listening. Hiding. "Why did they do this to you?" He took off his himation, covering the man with it like a blanket. This was the first person in a long time that didn't balk from him. I'm being selfish. he noted, curled fingers brushing the nymphs cheek. "Why do you not fear?" @꒰celestial shae ꒱ ༉‧₊˚.

Slow. Each breath pushed in through his chest at such a slow rate. Was that the death getting to him? Kai was unsure. He had never died before. He was well aware that he would turn to seafoam. Just like in the stories. He had once heard a story about a little mermaid who faced a similar fate. Mortals had all kinds of stories like that, even made movies about them. Not that he had ever watched them. He enjoyed his life outside of the mortal realm. They would just stare in horror were they to see him. Or they would attempt to stab him. He found that one out the wrong way. Plus they had these dastardly nets that they tried to catch him in once or twice. He had quickly decided to leave the mortal realm after that. Of course, they weren't much better in the godly realm either. Many had abandoned their positions in belief that the world functioned just fine without them. Gods wandered the mortal realms pretending to fit in, Satyrs abandoned their forests to stare in front of screens they would later grow obsessed with. Even the fates had stopped giving prophecies, the oracles being left to mere fortune tellers tactics as if they had no abilities at all. It was Aries who had done this. Perhaps it had been a bad idea to call him a pussy but since 2000 he hadn't done a single thing of note. He was deserving of the title Primus Pussy. Uncalled for. That was what Kai believed. After all, a sick burn was not meant to be taken literally. He grimaced as he looked up at the minor god, his own dark eyes lifting to the pale ice blue eyes that looked down to him. "I feel just fine--" He claimed despite the way his voice shook, a weak bated breath pushing through his lips as he lifted him onto his lap. The touch of the man was gentle, soothing, cold. It made it feel as if it was pushing away the pain that coursed through his veins. "I'm not seafoam yet..." He grumbled, clenching his jaw in reluctance. After all, he wasn't going to die. Or at least that was what he was con

tinually telling himself. It wasn't for a fear of death but for a fear of loss of life. Nothing had been resolved yet. Kai had so much that he hadn't done yet, so much that he hadn't experienced. "Don't insult the god of wars... apparently he doesn't have much of a humor." Of course, he knew he was at a fault. He had angered someone he shouldn't had, stepped on his toes even. It had been a bad take. Yet that didn't mean that he regretted it. After all, Kai didn't regret a thing about the life he was living. The life he had lived had been a positive one overall. Perhaps that was why he still had the energy to push forward. Why do you not fear? Kai grinned weakly at the question, "What's there to be afraid of?" He chuckled, coughing in pain as the laughter struggled through his unwell body. "You won't hurt me..." He noted softly, his dark eyes softening kindly. "I won't die." he noted, stating a fact and not a question. "I'm..." He smiled, "I have to give Aries the finger first..."

"I'll make you a deal..." He said softly shifting how he sat. "Tell him to go fuck himself from me and I'll twist your fates." He smiled softly, holding up Kai's head upright. He could get in terrible trouble messing with the fates threads, but consider it a teaching lesson he supposed. The girls could use the curveball in their lessons. "Close your eyes." He said softly, pulling forward what energy he had. Only once Kai closed his eyes did he lean forward, hesitate once, then press a kiss to the nymphs mouth. Only briefly did the nymph realize before he fell asleep in Thanatos' arms. He laid Kai in the grass, knowing the nymph would heal and wake quickly. He didn't have as potent a power as his twin. He left the nymph wrapped in his cloak and left, falling into the comfort of the underworld. Kai would wake wrapped in Thanatos's himation, kiss burning his lips, fully healed although cold. A small card was tucked into his palm. The gray card was marked with gold filigree, the left and right upper corners printed with stars and an artistic swirl in the bottom. Thanatos God of Death Twin of Sleep Call forth my name to summon The back had a lazy scrawl, Don't forget our deal. @꒰celestial shae ꒱ ༉‧₊˚.

A deal. Elder Leanna had once told him never to make a deal with the devil. Thanatos wasn't a devil, right? Death. Not the Devil. Kai's tired eyes lifted upwards towards the man, his head lulling to the side ever slightly as his breathing grew slower, each breath beginning to feel as if it were taking too much effort. It felt as if he were pushing against some heavy pressure, someone pushing down on his chest. Someone choking him. Tell him to go fuck himself from me The nymph's eyebrows furrowed, dark brown eyes connect with his. "Can it be from both of us?" He questioned, though his voice wasn't coming out in the way that he wished it to. It sounded merely like a whisper, his volume no longer projecting the way that it used to. Perhaps he was dying. He could feel his body growing cold, growing numb. He wasn't sure if it was cold or numb. He couldn't differentiate any longer but he could see the God's lips moving. Was he saying something? He couldn't hear him. He swallowed tiredly, attempting to push down the knot that had curled into his throat. He felt tired, Tired in a way that he had never felt before, as if he was being slowed in time. Hardly able to even keep his eyes open. No. He could no longer fight. His eyes softly fluttered to a close, his breaths slowing even further as he struggled to hold on, his fight much weaker than he would have liked to admit. He hardly even realized that he had been directed to do so, only having closed them since he could no longer fight off the exhaustion that lulled him forwards. Just as softly, he felt something on his lips. Something cold. Sleep urged him forwards. When his eyes opened again, he found himself staring up at the deep blue sky. His eyes had opened. He stared in awe. He hadn't expected to survive his visit. His time spent with the God almost dream like. His gaze softened as he watched the clouds float by, his fingers idly finding their way towards his lips. They felt cold, the chill that

he remembered from before losing consciousness still lingering. He paused, wondering what had caused such a cool and soothing feeling. He sat up tiredly, blinking his eyes as he realized his body lacked the pain that he had felt priorly. Had he been healed? He rubbed the back of his neck and shivered into the cloak wrapped around him, his gaze shifting to the small card in his hand. Don't forget our deal He blinked lazily, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. What had been their deal? He groaned at his hazy memory, falling back towards the ground. "Elder Leanna is going to kill me..." He muttered as if perhaps he had made a deal with the Devil. But first, he had something to do. An enemy who needed to be brought down a peg. He was going to visit his good old friend, Aries. Whether he was invited or not, he would be making an appearance at the monthly ball held by the Godly Pantheon, and he was going to make sure he made a bang. @Vox

Thanatos was required to go. Normally Hades would on behalf of the underworld, however he was too busy getting pegged in Florida by his wife. Sighing softly, he laid back in his bed, an arm over his eyes. It'd been a week since he had met that Nymph. He sighed as he swung his feet from his bed leaning on his legs head hanging. Hope he is alive. The stone was cold under his bare feet as he went to the bath, sliding into the water. His quiet home was on the edge of the Underworld City, perched on the edge of the underworld and Elysium. He bathed then dried his hair brushing out his pale hair. Suppose I should wear a suit.... he groaned at the thought, putting one onto his bed. Fuck do I not want to. He tugged out his old cellphone clicking through to find Aphrodite's number. I'm coming tonight in Hades stead. What is the address? Monesti Club downtown LA. Isn't that a strip club? It's Zeus' birthday you know he wants at least strippers. He dropped his head back groaning in annoyance. Well what the hell do I wear? Come to my house. I got you babydoll. The mortal plane felt so heavy. The dark club thumped music and rattled his chest as he stuck close to Aphrodite as she lead through. They'd rented the full club for the God's birthday. "I feel like a fool." Than plucked the shirt sighing as Aphrodite pushed down his hands. "You look good!" She reassured as both greeted themselves to Zeus. "Happy birthday sir. I come on behalf of your brother as he is unavailable." Than bowed hoping the blond God was in a good mood. "Bah! He's such a pain anyway!" Zeus picked him up in a hug and he grimaced hoping it would be seen as a smile. He escaped away to the bar crossing his arms across his chest. The clothing Aphrodite had picked made him feel exposed, the thin black fabric barely more than tissue paper. Ares was lounging in a bench booth with Aphrodite, him trying to flirt with her and her looking enthused about it. He

TRIGGER WARNING: NSFW Content There was but one problem. How do you crash a party with the tightest and highest level of security possible. In all honesty, Kai hadn't a singular idea. At least, not at first. Now... you may be wondering how he got in. But that's not the question at hand right now. "Oi- you there. Yes, you with the blue mesh shirt." A gruff voice called out from behind him, "Who did your makeup?" Kai turned to look at the rough looking man, his dark eyes lingering on him. At the moment, his eyes resembled more of a deep sea foam green, much different from the shade of brown they had taken on the week prior when he had met with the God of Death. "I did--" "For fuck's sake... now that's why it looks horrendous. Look I know you're new here, kid, but this is a big night. Now go put those looks to good work and get Mari to put some makeup on you." He scoffed, roughly putting his hands on the nymph and spinning him around. "Our buyer tonight specifically asked for our most beautiful, we don't need clowns. Go get fixed up or don't plan on making any tips tonight." In reality, Kai had never expected to get tips. After all, he was going to be fired tonight. It was his first time being a stripper though, so perhaps he would give it his best shot to at least blend in. He frowned and walked back towards the dressing rooms once more, peeking in. "Uhm... is Mari here?" He asked, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sapphireeeee" Another girl called out, giggling as she looked in his direction, "Her stage name, not supposed to call her by her real name in here, you know." She winked, strutting by him before playfully slapping his ass. "First night huh? I'm sure Sapphire can fix you right up good as new. Not a bad canvas to work with either." She smirked and ran out of the room, leaving him alone with a slightly older woman, one who appeared in her late twenties or early thirties. She had dark hair and crystal blue eyes, the kind of eyes seers used to

have. She walked over to him and softly took him by the hand, leading him towards a seat. "You're green." She noted in a gentle tone, pulling out a makeup wipe and sliding it along his face, removing the mild amount of makeup he had attempted to do. "Tonight... stay away from the big guy. He's the one who pays the bills... stick to his friends... I'm sure some of them swing that way too." She noted softly, beginning to do his makeup silently. Throughout her session, she layered him with advice he would ignore. About how to get someone there without even touching them, how to get tips, how to really lure someone in. Her advice would have been great, that is, if he wanted to be a stripper. Kai smiled and indulged her though. After all, he preferred to keep his guise up at least until he got out there, out on the stage as he made the biggest scene of his life. A scene where not even Aries could burn him again. "Alright, you're up next. Go get em tiger."

The familiar tune of Pony from Magic Mike turned on and the stage went black, a smirk curling along Kai's lips as he felt adrenaline hum through his veins. "Well... here goes it." He muttered, taking a deep breath as he walked onto the stage, his fingers wrapping around the pole in the center of the stage, bright neon lights bathing him in deep hues of blue as he began to dance. At the moment, he wore a tight mesh tank top that displayed his abs and a pair of black baggy sweatpants, rolled up once so that just a tad of his hips were showing between his tank top and his pants. As the music began to hum in his ears, he began to recite the dance from the rather famous movie, a smirk crossing along his lips as he strutted up to his favorite god, hoping to make him ashamed in the only way he could think of. After all, nothing would say fuck you like making the entire godly community think you were gay, especially when you were as outwardly anti-gay as Aries was. He strutted up towards him, grinding and twerking, shaking his booty just like channing Tatum did before smirking and leaning towards the God's ear and whispering a quiet phrase, grinding on him nonetheless, "A friend of mine told me to tell you... go fuck yourself. Sincerely, Thanatos and me." He smirked, pulling from his ear to blow him a kiss,. "OI! WHO SAID YOU COULD TOUCH ME?" Aries bellowed as if he had been lit on fire, roughly pushing Kai to the ground in disgust. He growled angrily, making a fool of himself as he attracted the attention of all who were in the club. "I'm just doing my job, Sir" he played coy, standing up with the help of Hestia who seemed rather appalled at Aries. "Did you not want that? I could see you staring... it's my first night, I certainly wouldn't know any better with the way you were staring at me." "The fuck--" Aries growled, walking up to him and grabbing at his shirt, picking him up so that he only could stand on his toes. "You fucker think anyone is falling for this-

-? I'll make you wish you died last time--" "Sir--" Kai pretended to plead, further twisting Aries into the bad guy in everyone's eyes, ruining any positive image he might have had amongst the gods. "Please Sir-- I'm sorry-- I didn't realize---" "Put the fellow down, Aries." The voice who spoke was Zeus, his gaze lingering on Kai with fascination, seemingly not minding the show that the young nymph had put on, even if it had been entirely in jest. Of course, no one else seemed to have realized that. Yet.

He burst out laughing, a hand over his mouth, making Zeus edge a little away from him. He rarely smiled minus less laughing audibly at the God of War. Ares let go of Kai to get in Thanatos's face. The two had never gotten along, especially after Ares locked him in the underworld to make his soldiers unkillable. "You set this up you son of a bitch?!" "Oh no. I only made the deal to say go fuck yourself. The dancing was all him." Thanatos grinned looking up at the taller man. When Ares reared back to hit him, Thanatos put up a hand to Ares chest and the God dropped like a rock. No one moved until Ares groaned and Zeus laughed his ass off. The king found it absolutely hilarious. He laughed and wiped away tears from laughter, motioning to put Ares on a bench lazily. Thanatos flexed his hand in discomfort, blinking as his eyes darkened back to their blue. He couldn't bring himself to look at Kai. Hes probably afraid of me... he blinked as his sight wavered and unfocused. Most would be afraid of someone who's touch was deadly even if it was temporary death.

Perhaps this was taking it too far. It wouldn't have been the first time. After all, people often told Kai that he had gone overboard, or that he had crossed the line, or even that he had taken things too far. All of those phrases were rather welcome in Kai's vocabulary. It didn't seem to stop him though. Perhaps he truly was born to be an asshole. After all, there was something ever so satisfying about watching the God of War grow angrier and angrier. It was that which urged him forwards. Perhaps it was wrong to be passionate about pissing people off, but there was something so fun about watching how his face contorted in anger, twisting angrily as he attempted to fathom the bullshit he had gotten himself into. "Sir-- Please don't blame the kind man!" He exclaimed, feigning ignorance, his sea foam blue eyes seemingly changing color in the light as he looked at Aries with a mischievous look. Of course, not even he could have imagined that Thanatos would temporarily put him to sleep, the man falling to the ground like a rock. Kai paused and looked down, his lips parting to say something before letting out a smug chuckle and looking at Thanatos with a bizarrely proud look. He looked quite proud to have given the asshole what he was going to dub the lap dance of death. "Oh my gods! Sir--" He faked, knowing that anyone with half a brain could have recognized him as a nymph by now. "I do apologize, this is all my fault. Do not worry, I will give you a free lap dance on the house. You should sit down, seems you can't stay on your feet. Don't worry though, that's a common side effect of seeing that ass." He feigned ignorance, clearly too amused with himself to give a shit. Yet he was on the verge of getting caught, the large male leather dressed pimp watching from the stage door with a frown, slowly beginning to walk over. Kai paused as he noticed, stopping mid sentence about something regarding his lap dance before looking at Thanatos and winking. "Believe this i

On the front it had a sillier phrase: Kai Nymph of Mockery Twin of Foolishness Call me and I shall come If I'm not dead, He smiled and bowed slightly, his smirk charming and boyish as he looked over his shoulder at the pimp who looked like he was about ready to grab Kai by the throat. He put the card in his pocket and willingly took the offered drink grimacing at the taste. At the end of the party, he was drunk and leaning on Aphrodite's shoulder. She laid him down in the booth and he curled up a little, nauseous. I want to go home. Laying on the bench, he spun the card in his fingers. Run Kai had grown fairly used to the act of running. Not because he was fast or anything, but because he often got onto people's bad side. He probably ought to work on that but instead he would rather perfect his escape. His lips tugged into a smile as he winked charmingly at the god before motioning to Call me. Potentially pissing him off too. Of course, not the intention, but often his intentions were unclear as he ran head straight into chaos. His grin shifted as he nearly ran head first into a second guard, stumbling backwards at the edge of the door. "I didn't mean to!" He blatantly lied, swerving as the large well built man began towards him. "Look! Can't we be friends--" He pleaded, his own height much lesser than the guards. After all, Kai was relatively short. We stan a short king. Kai only stood at 5'8, which apparently was short. Kai disagreed as in nymph terms that was rather tall. He wouldn't let anyone call him short, not unless they were going to beat the shit out of him. And... that was what this guy was about to do. Kai's gaze flicked over their shoulder towards the other pimp, the other one nearing on him as well. He was trapped, his gaze wandering through the maze of Gods and Goddesses in the club. Would any of them be able to save his ass? He frowned and looked back towards Thanatos who was seemingly gone. Or at least out of his view. "Fuck." He noted, gasping as he was pulled off his feet. He had stalled for too long. This was not his finest escape. After all, it couldn't be considered an escape. You can't escape when you've been caught. The larger of the pimps grabbed him by the shirt and carried him out, growling as he tossed him onto the ground like a piece of trash. Of course, amongst the trash as well. It wasn't inaccurate though, perhaps well fitting. He was trash. It was worth it though. Once more, he didn't regret his actions, even as he lost consciousness from them punching and kicking him for so long. <@88753819913879

He yanked off the uncomfortable shoes and stumbled for the door, half falling out into the alley. I lost the nymph, almost killed Ares, and lost the gate home... he sunk to relax against the wall to try and settle his twisted stomach. His eyes opened to stare up at the dark sky. The stars looked the same. The same night sky whether you were lying on a pile of trash bags or not. Whether you were dying or not. The pungent scent filled his lungs as he took a deep breath, his eyebrows furrowing tiredly as he attempted to not vomit. He smelled horrid. He needed a shower. And perhaps some medical attention as well. Though he was sure if he returned to the ocean those wounds would begin to heal. He paused and urged his sore body up, exhaustion gnawing at his bones as he forced himself up. "Fuck--..." He groaned, tiredly forcing himself onto unstable legs. He felt like a wobbly newborn. It had been many years since he had felt such a sensation. Like the first time he left the sea, his legs struggled weakly underneath him. "Gods sake--" He cursed under his lip as he stumbled towards the alley wall. "You'd think I was drunk." He rolled his eyes at himself, more frustrated with his body not working correctly than the fact that he had been beaten up. He deserved that after all. It was several moments before his legs decided to cooperate with him. Several moments before his mind straightened out as well, regaining the clarity that he normally carried with him. He was propped up against the wall when he heard someone stumble into the alley, his gaze shifting to the side. At first, he expected it to be Aries ready for round two. Yet that wasn't who he saw. It was a very drunk thanatos. "What're you doing in a place like this?" He asked softly, "Exit was the other way." He chuckled and rubbed his hand through his hair. Since earlier, his face had been relatively beaten, his lip swollen and scabbed over from bleeding as well as a black eye that made him look tougher than he truly was. For some reason, the look in the God's eyes made his chest hurt. Kai paused, looking at the God with a slight frown as he pushed a vial into his fingers. Ambrosia. He had never been able to afford that sort of thing. Not even before people had stopped using it. He swallowed and looked down at it, his eyes softening. "Thank you." He said softly, the corner of his lips tugging upwards into the soft sort of smile that almost felt warm as you basked in it. "Thanatos..." He frowned, lowering down to the ground and gently wrapping his arm around his shoulders. "It's not your fault." He reassured, his hands soft and fearless as they hit the God's skin. He did not fear him. Did not fear getting hurt. "It's not your fault." He repeated once more, shifting to crouch in front of him, sea foam blue eyes connecting with the God's gaze. "You saved me." His gaze locked demandingly. Demanding his attention as he gently reached forward to lift the God's chin. "Please.... listen to me." He softly whispered before leaning in towards him, gently pressing his lips to his. His lips were much warmer than the God's, soft and warm. Kai's lips tugged upwards reluctantly, his sea green eyes flickering with a boyish charm. "Didn't expect that?" He questioned, smirking a bit in amusement, "Neither did I." He noted nonchalantly, his smirk having quite the charisma to it. If it weren't for his trouble making personality it was clear that he would have quite the fan club of Gods and Goddesses. Whoever swung that way, that is. He paused and gave the God some space, "No worries, my kisses seem to have that effect on people." He claimed about him feeling like shit. He took a step back and stood to his feet, shaking his head at his question. "There is always somewhere to be." He shrugged, "Just don't know where yet." He shrugged a second time, leaning his arms up to stretch them above his head. "You worry a lot... don't you?" He asked, smiling a little. It was strange. Everything anyone had ever told him about the God of Death was clearly wrong. This timid man seemed nothing like the stories he had heard. In many ways, he was almost cute. Maybe he was cute. Kai paused and looked at him, watching as he giggled and rested his chin on his knees. He smiled and opened the vial, "Bottoms up." He noted before drinking it, leaning his head back so he could take the ambrosia into his system. While not immediate, it quickly began to heal the wounds that he was feeling as well as make him feel relatively good. "Damn... it's as good as the stories said... maybe better." he grinned, glad he had gotten to taste it. "Thanks for saving me again." @Vox

"It's my job to worry." He mumbled flushing about the call out of it. "I didn't mean... that... made me sick I meant alcohol..." He waved his hands genuinely worried Kai would think he didn't like the kiss. "I'm asking if you'll be safe when I go home. I'm noting you tend to jump headfirst into getting yourself hurt." He pushed up to stand crossing his arms across his chest like he was trying to hide. His thin shirt did nothing to conceal himself and it was mortifying.... "If you need me say my name allowed with the want for me to arrive. I'll hear you. Though I am out of Ambrosia so please stay away from Ares." You tend to jump headfirst into getting yourself hurt Kai let out a laugh at the statement, "Haven't known me long and you've already figured that one out?" He chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "I have a special talent for pissing off Gods of War." He admitted as if it was something to be proud of. It most likely wasn't. That was okay. He didn't mind. "Guess that means you think you can get home safely, yeah?" He asked, looking at him with a slightly unsure look. After all, based upon his current behavior it was questionable whether the god was in any state to get anywhere on his own. He paused and looked at him, "Thanatos." He repeated the name once, letting the name linger on his tongue. "Does it have to be important? What if I don't wanna die again? Will you come and save me?" He looked at him with a smile, something in his eyes making him seem softer and sweeter than most would assume he was. @Vox

"You were the first to call for me in a long time. Whether you knew you did or not and I will not forget that..." He said softly, blue eyes flicking aside. "Call for me and I shall help you." He smiled softly as he passed swaying lightly and with a step, fell. It's like he went flat through the pavement and disappeared with a soft smell of ash. Time moved in odd rivers in the underworld, and his time of idle wait had felt an eternity. He remained in the underworld through the majority of the decline. Souls of the dead could not speak. They'd caress his arms with icy touch, mouths agape with breathless words. Charon spoke a language of his own, grated mastications of incoherent letters. And Hypnos was no better. He had not woke for eons. He walked the clustered halls of Tartarus, the walls rippling and the floor twisted on itself. In Tartarus there was no sense of self. There was no direction or alignment. Kai. His name is Kai. The party was in LA on June 18th. I gave him Ambrosia. He repeated again and again until he could get to his room, his one place of calm amongst it all. A place to wait for Kai should he call. @꒰celestial shae ꒱ ༉‧₊˚.

Call for me and I shall help you. They were words he was not used to hearing. After all, while Kai was beyond used to being on people's shit list, very few held him dear. The elder nymphs did, though they worried for him more than they found him enjoyable to be around. They feared he would die sooner rather than later should he continue with his antics. They weren't wrong. They worried for him more than most. After all, male nymphs were rather rare. Most nymphs were known to be female. To encounter a male nymph was a 1 in 30 chance and in reality Kai was considered a miracle to the Water Nymph colonies. Even though he was a ginormous pain in the ass. He paused and looked at Thanatos, his eyes widening in surprise as he went to catch the man as he fell. Yet jut as fast as he fell, he disappeared. Kai fell to his knees from the sheer gravity of the moment, staring in surprise. He was well aware of the God's abilities and yet still found himself surprised, a sigh escaping his lips as he was found alone once more. Alone. A dissatisfied frown settled on his lips, his gaze staring blankly at the spot where the God had disappeared through for several moments before he continued on. Kai had always longed for such things. Such relationships. Friendship. Companionship. It was rather lonely when you were almost one of a kind. Of course, the female sea nymphs were friendly and kind, but they often would rather giggle on the beach while watching him than partake in a conversation. It had always been that way, the girls running away from him, the older women lecturing him. In a way, Kai's existence was rather lonely. He settled into the sand, his gaze lost on the clouds. It reminded him of the view he had seen that day. The day he died. Or did he die? Perhaps it was the day that he dodged death? He wasn't sure what to refer to it as. The day he met him. Thanatos. "I wonder when I'll see him again..." He questioned aloud, wondering if it was appropriate to ca

Three dogs ran passed him to crash into the water, each easily 200 to 300 pounds. Thanatos smiled softly walking down the sand to sit by Kai, watching the dogs. He'd returned to wearing old Greek clothing, his hair down in a solid white wave. "Hope you don't mind I brought him too. He was becoming rather depressed." He grinned as the dogs played and fought with the ocean. Their long fur was black rippled through with deep reds, burgundy, and grays like shadows and light. He settled to sit in the sand, one of the three laying between them like a chaperone adult, wedging them apart. Thanatos laughed softly petting his broad face. "It is warm out here." Dogs? Was it raining cats and dogs? Wasn't that only a strange phrase that the mortals said to claim it was raining like crazy? The phrase never even made sense in Kai's mind and yet these giant dogs had come out of no where. Kai stared in surprised as they bounded towards the water, each of their large paws sending the sand flying in every direction. He covered his eyes protectively as they crashed into the water energetically. "My gods, where did you three come from--" He started, his gaze shifting as Thanatos took a seat next to them. "Wait-" He looked at him in surprise, entirely caught off guard that his words had entirely counted as calling on him. He had hoped that he would come but he hadn't expected it to be so quickly. "I..." he blushed, entirely caught off guard. "I didn't expect you to come." He noted, falling back into the sand a second time. "Of course not..." he smiled, covered his eyes with his arm tiredly. He was glad that he had come, entirely unable to hide the smile that was growing on his lips. He was glad that he came, glad that he wasn't alone. "So that's the dog huh... Cerberus." He smiled, sitting up and pulling his knees to his chest with a light chuckle, "Looks happier than I imagined." He glanced towards the dog as they pushed them apart, laughing as he fell to the side. "Well hello to you too." He noted, patting the dog's head softly. "It is..." He smiled and looked towards the sky. "My favorite beach... spent most of my childhood here." He looked towards Thanatos, his gaze softening. He wondered what was on his mind, whether he was happy to be here as he was. @Vox

"Of course I would. You called." He smiled softly. At mention of the dog the one between them chuffed, blowing a little plume of sand. "They're one being and used to be three headed. They would always fight so I separated them. I think it made them much happier." He ruffled the ones ears. "Three minds in one vessel would be likely exhausting. And they still do their work well." He kept his face turned to the light, pale blue eyes open and uncaring. His eyes were burnt anyway.... he buried his toes into the sand, yet again barefoot, pale shoulders uncovered by the wind. He liked the old clothes more than anything. "Must be nice to be able to remain close, even if it changed some." He noted, looking to Kai. "I'd tell of my own but it's a little hard to explain." Of course Kai paused at the guarantee, wondering if it was unique only to him or whether he would call to any whom called him. Had the God wondered about him in the same way that he had him? Or were his thoughts entirely his own? Were his feelings unreciprocated? Of course, Kai wasn't entirely sure what his feelings were. Perhaps it was out of a wish for friendship that he had called the God. After all, he had been the first to entirely unselfishly help him. The first to give him a shot despite the fact that most were well aware he was saltier than the Dead Sea. He paused and looked at the dog, "I can't imagine that... my own head seems messed up enough on it's own. If I had another being inside it, I'm sure I'd be dead already. Some God would have killed me ages ago. Reduced to sea foam." He chuckled, still imagining himself like the little Mermaid that the mortal children had once told stories of. The movie was much better than the original and yet he knew some would much like if his voice were taken away. He paused and shrugged, "Guess I stay out of familiarity." he noted softly, "Plus... sea nymphs can't stray too far... skin will dry out and well... then instead of sea foam we'll just be sand." He said morbidly, his gaze lingering on the sky idly as if it hadn't been a dark thought. "A few... sisters. Suppose 8 or so?" He shrugged, "Never quite saw eye to eye with them. They care for tradition... while my existence in itself defies tradition." "Yes sir. I'll return him within the hour." He voice texted back, then embarrassed tucked the phone away. "I'm sorry. Ignoring him doesn't tend to go over well." The sleepy dog between them got up, padding down the sand and disappeared between blinks. "Apparently he's going home. Why come if youre going to leave." He was idly talking to himself then laughed a little awkward when he realized he had been. "I technically have... 22? Or so siblings. But Hypnos is the only one I know and ever met. The concept of Gods had always been confusing to Kai. Perhaps that was because of the fact that in his lifetime, he hadn't known them to actually do their jobs very well. It was surprise that Thanatos still remained strong and dutiful in comparison to the many who had given up on their positions. At a point, Kai simply wasn't sure of their purpose any more. It seemed as if the world would keep on turning whether they were involved or not. He wondered if Thanatos felt the same way. He doubted he did. After all, he still did his job. Still continued collecting the souls and guiding them on their merry way to the underworld. "It's not annoying." He noted as he fell back into the sand, letting it sink around him slowly. It embraced him warmly, welcoming him into their arms. "Is that Hades? Or someone else giving you a hard time about the dog?" He wondered aloud, surprised to see the dog slowly hoist itself up and walk away as if it had been called from faraway. He supposed mythical creatures could be summoned in such ways, though of course, he had never had a mythical pet before. Most didn't like to be tamed by mere nymphs. Though on occasion one did. "Mmmm... must be weird." He sighed, looking back up towards Thanatos. "Mine at least come to a dinner once a month... course, not a fun dinner in all honesty. They think I'm bringing shame on the family." He ended his words with a soft chuckle, "To hell with that." @Vox (sorry it took so long)

Persephone. it was a name he had certainly had heard before. After all, she and Hades were seen as some sort of star crossed lovers in many eyes. Lovers who were fated to not be and yet somehow bent the world to fit their dreams. It was a strange relationship in many ways. Gods didn't seem to worry about strange though, after all, Zeus fucked animals and hardly anyone said anything about it. Man was a bonafied weirdo and everyone continued to follow him even though he continually fucked over his poor wife. Course, Kai didn't feel bad for Hera either. She had a plethora of her own problems. Gods were confusing. Perhaps that was why Kai was so surprised that Thanatos was surprisingly chill. His gaze shifted over to the man, watching as he stared at the sun that refused to burn his eyes. Kai directed his eyes towards the sun and winced, quickly covering his eyes before letting out a soft chuckle in annoyance at the fact that he couldn't do the same as Thanatos. "Suppose not. Sound like a bore, the pair of 'em." He chuckled, hoping that Thanatos didn't mind him taking his siblings lightly. After all, while Kai had never had a problem with pissing off Gods, he didn't want that to be the case with this God. "You're related to a dog--" he questioned, knowing that Cerberus hardly counted as a dog. Of course, most mythical beasts resembled real creatures and yet in all honesty would be relatively insulted by called one. Their likeness meant nothing. "Not surprising though. Certainly smarter than Ares." He noted with a smug smirk, "And more handsome." He nodded, "Ares has a butt chin..." He made a face in disgust as if that were an awful thing to have, though he was mostly mocking him. "Mmmmm why not." He nodded, stretching his arms over his head idly. After a moment, he stood up and offered Thanatos a hand. "I could show you the best place to get a drink and enjoy happy hour?" He noted, wondering if all Gods liked to drink. "Well.. I suppose that's just how well all are, isn't it." Kai looked towards the ocean with a longing gaze, "After all, I'm truly nothing more than a personified wave, right?" He smirked playfully, his lips tugging upwards as he began to walk alongside him. Whether he was a personified wave or not was questionable. He did have the chaotic and unpredictable nature of one. Nymphs were the spirits of living things after all, most well known for being the spirits of wildlife like trees and flowers. Yet water nymphs like Kai existed too, though they often were confused with sirens. He paused and looked at him, humming to himself as he walked into the beachside bar. "This is Lil Havana's. Probably the best place for a sweet drink." He explained, "They have plenty of mocktails too, for the future." He advised him, softly passing him the drink menu which had a surprisingly large list of sweet mocktails for those who didn't drink. "Didn't think you'd come to be honest." He admitted, "I wasn't sure how to summon a God. After all, if I said "Oi Ares I want your ass" he wouldn't come." He chuckled, stretching his arms above his head. "Had a question for you though..." He smiled softly and shifted to lean his head against his arm. "You didn't place a curse on me... did ya? Cause.... you've stirred some sort of... storm in me or something. He knew that the drink was incorrect given that he could taste the alcohol in it, but he sipped it anyway. He could use the courage. "If I could put a curse I would have long ago. "You don't?" Kai's attention shifted back as he wondered why he couldn't get the God off of his mind. He felt kind of silly in reality. No one had ever occupied his mind like this before. He hadn't allowed them to after all. Yet since he had been introduced to the God of Death, he found himself entirely lost in thoughts that he never would have humored before. "You certainly have some sort of gift..." He mumbled, his cheeks reddening at the fact that he had basically just admitted that he couldn't stop thinking about him. "Why me though? Most would rather shut me up than listen to me. " He questioned, his eyes softening as he noticed his own drink had been placed in front of him. It was a simple Jack and Coke. He didn't mind the taste of liquor, though his mother had once said that he should avoid it due to his apparently addictive personality. He rolled his eyes. Course, it did often make him a tad more chaotic. He always seemed to be dancing around trouble when he drank. Even Thanatos had experienced that. I'd have taken you home with me. Kai let out a soft chuckle and looked down at his drink, watching as the ice swirled around within. "Why didn't you?" The underworld. In all honesty, Kai didn't know much about the underworld. Didn't imagine death often quite frankly and while they knew the basics regarding it's structure and how to get in, they had never planned on dying to find out what the journey was actually like. Death had always been something Kai just assumed he could dodge. Like a slow punch you knew would hit you if you didn't duck out of the way. Ducking wasn't hard, but you had to have the foresight to know it was coming. Course, everyone knows that death doesn't exactly work that way. Especially not for nymphs. There is no underworld for nymphs after all, just like the nature from which they stem from, they find their way back to the earth in which they came. "Mmm guess not" He hummed nonchalantly, not seeming as afraid of the underworld as most would. "Suppose you ought to be dead to traverse the depths down there." He stretched his arms above his head lazily and looked towards the female bartender who continued to give the pair of them a strange look. He raised his eyebrow at her for a moment incredulously, shrugging before looking back to Thanatos. "Not me though. You know, I'll never see it if you don't bring me." He mentioned, leaning closer to him with a playful grin. "Plus, I never quite liked the idea of not being able to go somewhere. Pretty much travelled everywhere I can thus far in the mortal realm. It's about time someone brings me to explore outside of that." He smiled at the God with a charming boyishness, his sea foam eyes shifting in color as if the waves were crashing and crumbling within them. Shades of green, blue and even brown swirling around within. "Think I do?" he chuckled, "I summoned a God because I was bored..." He laughed, letting his head fall backwards. I have to leave soon. Kai wasn't sure why his stomach sunk a bit as he heard that. It was strange. It wasn't as if he needed him or anything. Though of course, it was enjoyable to spend time alongside the God, he was entirely fine on his own. He always found something to do. Whether it was getting into trouble or just enjoying the weather, Kai had always found fun in the idleness that was his life. Yet sometimes he wondered if there was a point to it all. If there was a point to him, to all of them really. Nymphs, Satyrs, mythical beings, spirits of the earth who were not important enough to be Gods but once not entirely inconsequential to the well being of the earth. Kai paused and looked at the soft yet sad smile of the God. While the God smiled on occasion, he rarely seemed all that happy. As if he were just moving through life solely out of duty alone and nothing else. Kai wondered if he was passionate about what he did, or if he too was simply moving with the flow to avoid being swallowed by the idleness of their reality. After a moment, Kai's smile faded, his gaze lingering on Thanatos with slight disappointment. Disappointment that faded nearly the moment that he offered to bring him along. The daily life of the God of Death. The duties and jobs that only he could do. The reason that while all of the other Gods had abandoned their duties, he remained, continuing to walk forward through the darkness. "Really?" He brightened up, his eyes almost shining as he sat up in his seat. "I'd love that. I've never seen a God working and well... I definitely haven't visited the underworld before."

He led into the alley and from the angle of his back pulled his scythe from the air. It was a large old thing, taller than them both with a long curved blade of a faintly purple metal. He took Kai's hand with hesitancy and with a soft command of 'close your eyes' warped to the new call. Having the whole world suddenly blink away tended to be disorienting, even for himself. 'Finally' "Yes yes sue me later." Thanatos waved a hand to his reaper. Kai opened his eyes to an accident. Cars in a twisted mound of metal and glass carnage. Firemen cutting open one to get to the people inside. The reaper was a shadowy thing, barely solid and phasing through his movements. 'She won't come with.' "I wouldn't either lookin at you." Thanatos teased, the reaper throwing up his hands. It was clear it was a common exchange. 'Why is he here?' "It is alright. He wished to see." Thanatos reassured and the reaper shook his head but left, walking amongst the chaos. Time wasn't moving correctly, an odd slow blur around them. Thanatos pulled Kai along gently by the hand, heading for a car on its own flipped on its roof. Thanatos put Kai's hands onto the handle of his scythe. The weapon was the only thing keeping them in the between. A woman was stuck upside down in her car, her crying cracking through the air made Kai realize there was very little sound. A muffled dull thrum in the air and her voice. Thanatos bent, unconcerned of the glass, and laid on his side to see in the window to her. "Go away." "I can't ma'am. It's time to go." Thanatos reached for her hand and she slapped at him then put her arms back to propping herself to keep from falling on her shoulder. "I'm not ready yet." "Why is it not?" Thanatos willingly laid by her to hear her out. She went into confused ramblings mostly about children. A job. She was spiraling through her thoughts. She eventually dropped down, too weak, and Thanatos pressed a palm to her forehead. When he peeled away, a shimmering li

They stood together on a cliff of black stone, below spread a sea of pale ocean clear straight to the bottom. Boats lingered across the sea and in the air like dark stars, black figures bringing orbs of light across to a doorway across the chasm and down to the beach below where a head of Cerberus guarded a large doorway. The second head of Cerberus was near them, lounging across the black stone. Behind them was a tiny doorway, a small open arch allowing a line of people through where they became indistinct orbs of white blue light. Cerberus watched this line but he was no longer the dog he'd met. He was a titan, large as a house. The dog bent his head and snuffled, blowing back Kai's hair. Thanatos let down the orb he'd gathered, where a reaper in a boat waited to shepherd her across. "This is the first gate. The Styx." Thanatos said softly, finally relaxing.

The God of Death. While Kai was well aware that was Thanatos's true title, they couldn't help but feel this was their first true introduction to him. Of course, perhaps it was their second introduction towards him as the God of Death. After all, he had seen him working when he had come to deliver him to the dead the first time. It had been different then. Perhaps it was because he hadn't seen him as the God of the Dead then. Or perhaps it was the fact that he had directly ignored their true duty by allowing Kai to live. Kai was grateful for that, of course. They were rather glad to still be alive and they would continue to make it up to the God for as long as they lived if they could. As he walked out, Kai followed softly, watching as the man pulled his scythe out. A weapon that mortals never had been able to wield. They claimed it was not meant as a weapon but they were wrong. It just took the truly strong to wield them. Thanatos was a wonderful example of one who could wield it with the true intentions meant for it. Close your eyes. Kai tightened his hand around Thanatos's and obediently shut his eyes, taking a deep breath as he braced himself for whatever would happen. When he opened his eyes, he shivered at the large car wreck in front of him. It looked painful. While he was used to getting in a fist fight, Kai was entirely aware that the pain these people must've been experiencing was beyond brutal. They were dying. The reaper. Had he been there the first time too? Kai paused and looked at the creature in slight curiousity, unaware of whether the reaper was a God at all or a creature of it's own. Kai's gaze followed the creature as Thanatos pulled him away, his attention shifting towards the car he was being led towards. A knot curled in his throat as he saw her. Even imagining the pain that she must be in sent chills up his spine. Yet Kai knew Thanatos would wash that way. They still remembered the way he had brushed his pain away the first time to

o, how he had numbed it all. "I'm not ready yet." Kai's jaw tightened. Had he deserved to continue on when this woman could not? The knot in their throat curled deeper and tangled, their gaze casting down as they wondered if they had been worth it. She had so much more to live for. Children. A family. There were people who depended on her. No one depended on him. And few who would be sad should he be lost. That was what he believed. He swallowed and looked down as he watched Thanatos lift her up and place his hand back onto her. When he opened his eyes again they had jumped once more, cold crashing into him. He shivered and looked towards the cliff in front of them, wishing they had worn something a little warmer. "Jeez--" He shivered and looked towards Thanatos, his gaze only staying on him for a moment before he felt the dog's breath blow through his hair. "Oh jesus christ Cerberus... nearly gave me a heart attack!" he exclaimed in surprise, clearly having not noticed the dog due to his eyes not adjusting correctly. He laughed and moved closer towards Thanatos, watching as he placed the orb down. "So this is the famous river styx... imagined it... less cold." @Vox

"I apologize. I forget." He murmured softly. He tugged free his outer chlamys, wrapping it about Kai's shoulders. The short robe was heavy and thick, cutting out the cold. Beneath he wore just a short tunic, ending high at his thighs. "You will have to boat across. One of the shades can take you." He smiled and set a small gold coin in his palm. He made sure Kai was settled in the boat, seated or standing comfortably, the dark shadow paddling him across taking the offered coin. The boat glided through the air without a sound or wobble. Thanatos watched for a moment then leapt off the edge, black wings sprouting from his back. They were the same shadow as the shades, trailing smoke and whisps as he fell. He caught part of the way down and sped across the surface of the water, fast enough he left a trench behind. Thanatos was hardly more than a shade. He could keep himself together better than the others, but every shade was a fragment of himself. At times he felt to shattered, too thin like he'd rip apart, but his work must keep going. He was the only one who could force spirits to move on. Force them through the next door. He landed on the beach below and looked up at Kai's barge. He had someone who would listen. Who could understand. He can hear me... @꒰celestial shae ꒱ ༉‧₊˚.

Cold. Unlike the God of Death, Kai was not used to such temperatures. He shivered at the air, his hands moving towards his arms as he began to rub. After all, Nereid's like Kai were mostly used to rather warm conditions, most often found enjoying the warmth of the sand on hot days or basking on stones to take in the warmth. While they were able to survive in the ocean which often grew cold, they were certainly not used to the cold of the Underworld as Thanatos was. He paused and glanced his gaze up towards Thanatos as he apologized, shaking his head, "No- no-- not a problem at all--!" He started, blushing as he watched the God remove his chlamys so that he could wrap it around his shoulders. His cheeks turned red at the motion, his gaze softening as he noticed what the God was wearing. "You won't be cold?" He asked, unsure of whether the God felt the cold in the same way as he did. Cold. It reminded him of the same feeling he had felt before he had fallen unconscious that day. That was the cold that he associated with the God of Death. It wasn't the same sort of empty cold that hung in the Styx nor was it the same cold that he had felt in the mortal realm when snowflakes fell from the sky. It was a refreshing sort of cold. As if it could heal you or wash away all sorts of pain in your body. The sort of cold that you longed for when the sun was beating on the back of neck. Kai paused and stepped into the boat, settling down into the seat despite the fact that he couldn't wash away the antsy feeling in his chest. He handed the creature the coin, his gaze lingering as the boat began to glide through the air steadily. He had never seen something more beautiful than the way that Thanatos cut through the air, his grace clear as he sped through the water without hesitation. He was beautiful. He couldn't tear his eyes away from him and as the boat glided through the air, not once did he let his gaze tear from him. Not even as he stepped out of the boat and into the s

He took it, leading through the next doorway. The paths turned to a stone maze, fine halls decorated like a grecian palace. Pale figures, like the reapers but with the same blue white light as the spirit lights, walked these halls without aim. They seemed afraid of Thanatos as they avoided him, trying to shepherd the others away and out of their way. Kai quickly became lost. Even with the unique art or banners, the rugs over the marble floors, the number of doorways; it all started to blur. "All portals between here and your world are made by shards of chaos. My scythe has them, the collars for Cerberus. Hades and Persephone of course. And my reapers can move between." He was talking to keep his mind in order. The memorized patterns. He'd always had trouble remembering exactly where to go. The halls overlapped and twisted upon themselves as a great ever changing maze. He stepped into Hypnos' hall, denoting he was going the right way. Hypnos was a titan of himself, larger than even Cerberus. He was contained in a massive crystal glass sphere, like a being in a test tube. He had the same look as Thanatos, the same white hair though his curled in waves, floating about him. Loose stones floated and bobbed in the air, and the same sensation nearly lifted Kai off his feet. Thanatos chuckled softly. "This is my brother; Hypnos. He keeps everything a maze for us with his dreams." He smiled lightly, through with a touch of pain. "At times it confuses even me. We put him there to keep him safe and warm." Thanatos lead him passed out of Hypnos' chamber, trailing a hand across the glass in greeting to his twin. The next layer was Elysium, a wide and warm paradise of rolling hills and forest. Atop a hill was a large grecian house overlooking it all. Thanatos took his hand smiling and ran, the ground passing under them like they were as fast as horses. They reached his home quickly and Thanatos laughed softly embarrassed. "I'm sorry for the long travel. Leaving is much faste

Intertwined. It was a silly feeling. One that Kai couldn't seem to shake. As his fingers intertwined with Thanatos's, he couldn't help but stare, his gaze softening as he was pulled ahead through the next doorway. He had held plenty of hands before, friends, sisters, lovers even and yet none had felt the way that these did. He swallowed down the knot that was forming in his throat and fought the urge to blush, following him through the maze of halls, gaze hardly paying attention to the figures that avoided him. He wasn't sure what they were, those creatures. They looked similar to reapers but Kai assumed they weren't, their wandering much more aimless than the reapers he had seen thus far. He, too, felt lost. Though his fingers intertwined with the God's, it felt dizzying. He blinked several times as he aimlessly followed the hand that guided him. He was sure that if he let go he would wander for the rest of eternity like them. His hand tightened around the God's, wary of the blurring effect that the halls were having on him. He didn't want to be lost. Not in the way that they were. He feared that if he were lost he would never find his way out again. He would drift into something he was sure that he couldn't escape. His words sounded far. Kai furrowed his eyebrows in attempt to keep focus. "Huh?" He hummed in confusion, his grip loosening as he attempted to focus on what the God was telling him. "Shards of chaos..." he muttered in a weakly mustered attempt. Kai had never been the most focused person. He had always had a hard time keeping his attention at bay. It wavered. He couldn't even explain it. The way his mind moved so fast, hopping from topic to topic, dancing and playing hopscotch with different trains of thought. He furrowed his eyebrows again, his lips tugging into a tight frown as he attempted to pay attention, shaking his head when he couldn't. "Fuck this place..." He muttered in annoyance, his voice coming as a frustrated growl. "My head hur

ts..." He sighed under his breath, bringing his free hand to run through his hair, ruffling it so that it laid a bit messy. As the God came to a stop, Kai was so out of it that he barely stopped himself before running into Thanatos's back, his nose pressing to the God's back before he realized that he had stopped walking. "I-- uh.. .sorry uh--" He shook his head and blinked several times, rather slowly, before taking a deep breath, "This place is uh... fucky." He explained, his eyes more of a muddy brown at the moment in comparison to their usual sea foam green, shifting due to the state of his mind. "I--" his eyes widened as he felt his feet almost leave the ground. He swallowed in surprise as he tightened his hand around Thanatos's once more, "What the--" He gasped, surprised by the strange sensation that he had hardly e ven looked up towards the Titan of a God that floated above him. "Holy shit--" He exclaimed as he finally lifted his gaze to take note of the God. "That's your brother?" He stared and glanced between the two, seeing the similarities despite their difference in size. After a moment he leaned towards Thanatos with a hesitant look, "Does... that mean you can get that big too...?" kai had only seen a titan god once before and it hadn't been the friendliest thing. There had been a lot of fire that day. Fire that felt like it would swallow him whole, engulfing the city as it tore down what was in it's path. Of course, it had been on a rampage and even Kai knew the difference between a sleeping God and a relentlessly angry one. He stared idly at the God, following as Thanatos as he greeted his twin brother. Kai nodded politely to the sleeping titan and continued forwards, slightly relieved to be leaving the feeling of fogginess behind with him.

The feeling that Elysium brought him was much preferred. Warmth almost. His gaze widened as he stared at the beautiful rolling hills in front of him. "I didn't know that it--" He started, gasping as Thanatos began to run, pulling him ahead with him. Wind brushed through his hair in a way he had never felt before. It was friendly and welcoming as he felt curl around him, the ground passing under them in a way that almost made Kai think he was swimming. After all, Kai was a much faster swimmer than he was a runner. He had never seen anything like this, his eyes widening as he was suddenly ushered into the God's home. "Wow..." He muttered in surprise, flopping into the pit of pillows in the floor with a fit of laughter. "That-- was... both horrible and wonderful at the same time."

"I know it's alot. I should've gone slower but... also I have few secrets now. You've seen my world and my brother." He chuckled lightly into a knuckle, "and yes, I can take a titan form as well. For Hypnos and I they're a little different. We are closer to Chaos, so our forms are more.... varying." Thanatos pushed up to walk to a side counter to make drinks. "Hypnos' dreams make the temple into that maze like mess, keeping the souls inside the underworld and Kronos as well. Anyone who was banished to the Underworld. But being near his body makes everything float. It's where I learnt to fly and make shades; the dark reapers and the boat keepers." He held out a simple drink barely laced with alcohol. "He never stopped growing, even in his sleep, and it became more difficult to keep him warm. So Hades and Persephone took us in. Gave me work and a place for him to sleep." He settled down with Kai suddenly feeling embarrassed. He'd said and shown so much. Did Kai think him differently? He sipped his glass looking aside. Few knew of Hypos anymore, hells of him either. Dead and silent gods.... he chugged the rest of his class to take off the anxious edge.

Chaos. Kai could hardly imagine the God in such a sense. He imagined Chaos having a rather demonic appearance. Like a little imp or gremlin. Of course, that was rarely the case with the Gods. At least the Gods that he had seen or met. Nearly all took on an ethereal appearance. That is, with the exception of a few who took on rather hideous appearances in order to condemn mortals on occasion. "You don't seem all that chaotic for someone who is more close to chaos." He yawned as he relaxed into the cushions. "You're so... refined...." He hummed to himself, unsure about his choice of words. He simply meant to say that he believed Thanatos to have a rather graceful side to him. It was sort of beautiful to watch. Even the way he walked was graceful. He didn't really know how to express such feelings though. He had never been all that good at expressing himself. He frowned at the word and rubbed the back of his neck, "I don't know if that's right but... that's what it looks like to me. Feels like chaos would be a mess... kinda like me." Chaos. Like him. Kai knew he was a mess. Perhaps that was why he still wasn't sure what the God saw in him. Why he was keeping him around. He didn't truly understand that yet. He wondered if it was simply out of loneliness. He was sure that he didn't bring much to the God's life. Simply company. Someone to talk to. After all, that was what the God was to him. Company. Friendship. He hoped for them and yet he couldn't rationalize why a God would wish to be friends with a mess of a nymph like him. He frowned and looked up at the ceiling tiredly, his gaze shifting to the side at Thanatos who was beginning to chug his drink. "Slow downnnn." He warned him, "You'll get sick if you drink like that." He smiled slightly and leaned on his shoulder. "Don't want you nearly collapsing like you did the other night." He winked, "Don't want you to make a decision you'll regret." He sighed softly, Mistakes. Even Gods' made them. Would Thanatos ev

He couldn't help but feel anxious about their relationship, anxious about whether his feelings were mutual or if the God was simply humoring him. Did he want him around or was he simply showing him the things he was because he thought of him as a lost puppy who kept following him around. He wasn't sure. @Vox

"I don't make decisions I regret. Not for a very long time have I done something I regret." He advised softly tucking back his own hair. "May I do something?" He suddenly blurting holding out one of his hands, palm out, in his direction. "I... don't really know what you look like." He said softly, "I made Aphrodite tell me some but she only obsessed over your ass and that's not really what I'm thinking of." He murmured softly. Nice to know though. He gently pressed his fingers to Kai's face, rolling to be nearly laying on him. He pressed in close to see him in focus. Thanatos's eyes looked like layers of broken ice, blue as forget-me-nots. His pupils were fuzzy about the edges and small, not dilating with light. This seemed to make him happy and a goofy smile was slapped across his face, finger tips running over Kai's face. "Very close to what I thought..." @꒰celestial shae ꒱ ༉‧₊˚.

I don't make decisions I regret It was a statement that Kai couldn't entirely understand. After all, Kai was a walking regret. He was sure others agreed with such a statement. Not that he would let their opinions hurt him for too long. It wasn't worth dwelling on such pain. Yet that didn't change the fact of his awareness. In the minds of many around him, Kai himself was a mistake. He was aware of such. He had heard it right out of his own mother's lips once. How he wasn't meant to be. Be what... he had thought at the time. Though it took a few years, he quickly realized what it meant that he wasn't meant to be. "That must... be relieving." He smiled, softly though perhaps a bit sadly. "I suppose I ought to try learning from you then. I make decisions I regret nearly every day now." He laughed softly, only pausing as his attention was diverted by Thanatos's hands approaching him. "I uhm--" he swallowed and nodded, "Of course, you may." He paused, dark muddy eyes shifting to a more sea foam color as the man's hands approached his face. He hoped he could not feel how warm his cheeks were getting. He couldn't help the way that his heart begin to race as he claimed that Aphrodite had told him about his ass. "You... You can't see... can you?" He asked softly, his gaze softening as he felt the man shift on top of him, his breaths soft and bated as he looked up at him. Soft. Some would say that the man's eyes were icy. Cold. Kai disagreed. The lack of warmth did not bring cold. Instead they were warm like that of the sky on a cloudless day in his mind. Like the way that the sun shone on the water leaving tiny ripples of something so pure he couldn't put it into words. "What did you think?" He asked in near a whisper, his heart pounding. He hoped he couldn't feel that as well. "Other than what Aphrodite said about my..." He chuckled softly, his laughter drawing off as his curiousity began to get the best of him. @Vox

"Not very well no. Some days are better than others. It's all very blurred and dark." He mumbled, finger tips softly tracing his face. "I use my own energy normally to sense around me, but it frightens people. Overwhelms having someone constantly reminding they can kill..." He mumbled. "When I came to be, Hypnos already showed power. Other than my limited warping, I could do very little. My mother feared for me because at the time they were killing useless gods to get new to form." "I went to Chaos to help me. But it takes something from you in exchange. I've grown up this way I'm accustomed." He smiled lightly, pressing his palm flat to Kai's cheek. "I think you're perfect." He smiled softly then realized he'd practically laid on Kai, shifting slightly to get off him. "It matches close to what Aphrodite told me. Thought she lied a little." He chuckled tugging his long hair over his shoulder to run through his hands. "Thank you. For being kind to me." He murmured softly face turned away. @꒰celestial shae ꒱ ༉‧₊˚.

A world without vision. Kai had never imagined what the world would be like if he could not see. Blurred. Dark. His fingers trailed his face softly, tracing the scars and curves of his bone structure without hesitation. Kai had always been judged for his appearance. He didn't exactly look like the other nymphs. His cheeks were angular and his skin was kissed by the sun in a way that other nymphs often considered to be ugly. Of course, he couldn't see the color, but even his hair bore an unsightly streak that he had gotten tired of dying to match the rest. Across his nose he had a rough scar, that which had knotted from improper care. "You don't frighten me..." He said softly, his gaze softening. "Power scares many... but... your eyes are kind. Even if they cannot see the way I can or others may. They are soft... and sweet... and make me feel...safe." He almost whispered, his lips tugging into a sweet smile. Perfect. It wasn't a word he was accustom to. He wasn't used to these words being used to describe him. And yet it made his heart flutter. "Perfect?" He laughed softly, his hair falling onto his forehead as he shifted the tilt of his head. "You... make me feel weird." He muttered, his cheeks stained red. "I... don't know why." He added, his voice shyer than expected for him. Though quickly the God's own shy murmur distracted him, his cheeks returning to a more normal shade as he looked at him before wrapping his arms around him. "Of course I'd be kind to you... you deserve nothing less." @Vox

He laughed a little as the other pulled him back up close. Legs curling up a little his face reddened across his cheeks, he thumped to lay back on Kai. He took sudden interest in Kai's hands and held one up before him, skimming his own fingers over his skin. "I'll take you back... whenever you wish. You can't stay here too long or you'll begin to corrode. Takes a week or so but I still don't want you to get sick." He let Kai's hand basically drop on his face, holding it to him. He curled Kai's fingers against his skin, smile across his lips. @꒰celestial shae ꒱ ༉‧₊˚.
