The man walked into the conference room where his new employees were arrayed around the large table. Damon, or Day as he was known to his friends, was a pretty typical guy. He flew under the radar. He lived alone, and was a middle manager at a marketing company. He’d just gotten the promotion he’d been gunning for: Division Manager of Art. Day wrote his name on the whiteboard like it was a college lecture. “Good morning, everyone! I’ll be your new division, my name is Damon Latrike. I have some big plans for where we can take the department and I look forward to working with each and every one of you.” Two people caught his eye while he looked around the room. He through the personnel roster. Ah, Emma aaaaand he shuffled through the pages Winter. Interesting. He thought to himself. He would have to review their work a little more closely..

[Emma wasn’t dressed in nothing special, just her usual work attire as she sat down near her desk, looking over winters papers that were left, once she scooted herself in she began working, winter on the other hand didn’t know what to do, she noticed how her current lover Cole was looking at Emma, sighing she just went on and started her job as the boss’s assistant, it was her first day there and she was new, so she didn’t know what to do since she wasn’t one to learn quickly, it didn’t help she didn’t look pretty so there wasn’t much going on for her]

Damon stood in his office, watching the main floor of the office space. He prided himself on catching everything and he intended to make a show of it. He watched how Emma got straight to work. Good. A hard worker. Those types are always useful. He looked to Cole, tracing his line of sight back to Emma. Oh? What’s this? An office crush? Damon took a sip of his coffee, a crutch he had learned to lean on heavily to get him through his long work days. Then he noticed his new assistant at her desk just outside his office. He watched her staring at Cole, lost and slightly indignant. There’s absolutely something to this. I can use this. He thought to himself. He was starting to get a feel for this office as he watched his busy bees scurry around the office. Damon pressed the intercom button, the speaker on Winter’s desk crackling to life. “Winter, would you mind coming to me office for a moment please?” Damon sat down at his desk, opened a file in front of him, and started to pull up several documents on his computer.
