"Some are," he replied. "Some are faeries... Some are not. Fae is quite the broad term. However, where we are going, it will be the former." With her on his back, he draw one of his claws through the air and opened a rift. With both hands, he pulled it open and stepped through. As it closes behind them, Ali could see that they were in a fantastical land, much different from the dreary cave. "Wish we could use that to get to the camp, but it only works to get to the fae realm." Fyreth sighed and trucked forward as faeries flitted around. The massive city shone and sparkled as if made of gold.
As they walked through, many of the fae looked at the pair—notably at Ali—and whispered amongst themselves. The dragon didn't seem to mind; he was used to it. Despite the glances and whispers, he brought them to the castle. With little trouble due to both his stature and reputation, he was allowed an audience with the king.
The king was a rather thin man, built like a dancer rather than a fighter. "Ah, dragon, I see you—" he stopped as he saw Ali. He hopped into the air and flew over, fluttering around them as he examined her. "No... That's impossible. Has she...?" He landed in front of them: "where did you find her?"
"Summoned her from a portal. Why? Something wrong?" Fyreth narrowed his gaze and prepared for a fight.
"Of course something is wrong!" The king petulantly stomped his foot. "You have the Faerie Queen on your back, dressed in rags!" He snapped his fingers and several female faeries made their way out to the court with several dresses and gowns. "Queen Titania! Please forgive this beast's rudeness. We have long awaited your return to rule. Please, let us help you get cleaned and dressed more appropriately!"
