Humans... they died so easily, but their blood was divine..in most cases. Naturally, vampires were superior to these pitiful beings. Even young vampires knew that, everyone knew that, especially humans, seeing how even the nobles trembled and complied to their demands.
Sharp teeth, lust for blood, extended longevity that could easily stretch into centuries, there was a number of reasons why one would fear these creatures. The more obvious one was their superior strength and the iron fist they ruled with. Very few mistakes were allowed before a quick death was given.
Aias was, like eight other vampires, one of the children of the current city's lord. Thus he was tasked with rather diverse missions, sometimes highly important ones, sometimes, like today, what he qualified as 'pest control'. Humans were but food for him, and he wasn't one to keep pets around for longer than needed.
Checking the list given to him as he walked amongst the cages, he was accompanied by two other vampires to a cage at the far end, almost hidden away. Looking down at the filthy being locked up in front of him, the redhead vampire ordered for the cage to be opened.
"Are you sure, Sir Aias? This one's... a feisty one." one of the vampires hesitantly asked.
"Don't question me. This one is to be taken away and I am not dragging a cage around." he replied, crossing his arms on his chest. He was wearing a long white jacket with black fur on the left side, typical of the Lord's offsprings.
Apologizing, the vampire who had dared speak up fumbled for the keys to the cages and quickly unlocked the door, opening it to let Aias approach a bit. Doing so, the latter winced in disgust seeing the pet's state. "Get up." he ordered, blocking off any escape way.
