Marriages are a complex thing. Working with your partner, adjusting to their lifestyles and their choices, all of these things take their time to occur. Henry and Martha, had something similar. They had been married for over 7 years and they had one child, Theodore Williams. Their marriage had been out of love, when they met a long time ago in Italy, both of them traveling at the time. Realizing that they would like to see each other again. Things moved swiftly from there on and in a matter of weeks they had decided to get married with blessings from both of their families.. It was ideal for both families and their businesses after all.. Things in their marriage had not been good for a while now and it was evident in the way, she would always be out of home working on her projects. Her father had set up a charity foundation and she would jump at the chance to run out of him. Henry on the other hand, was a product of old money. His family had been in the oil industry, railroad industry and real estate industry. Money was irrelevant to him.. What was relevant, however, was legacy. Henry cared for his son, Theodore and wished to see him become a good man, someday. Something that he strived hard for, especially after he sought a separation from his wife prior to the divorce that was still pending.. The final straw having been when he found a tie in her purse which did not belong to him.. He kept custody of his son, adamant that he would wait till the divorce to see what the judges would eventually decide, but the lack of motherly company was something that worried him and he hoped that the nanny, he was hiring would follow instructions clearly and meet his expectations to fulfil that motherly figure for his son.. -

And that's where he found himself at, on a nice autumn evening, Henry was in the living room, scanning the news on his phone, while Theodore was playing in the garden with their dog, Remington when he heard the knock. He was still dressed in the suit that he had gone to work in, his muscular frame not hidden behind the grey or how the attire fitted him as he would walk up to the large front door.. The day housemaid having already left for the day, it would be he who would open the door, as the frame of the shorter young woman, became clear to him. He was expecting the stay at home nanny, and he expected for her to be a lot older and not.. quite so attractive.. His eyes scanned what she wore and her figure before returning to the mesmerizing green of her eyes as he would ask.. "Are you the nanny from Wentworth Agency?" @Lilura

Solitude was surely not easy. After the death of her mother Devina was fully alone in life at her young age. She had to take care of her life and she had to pay for the university she started at. After trying to work in cafes and restaurants, she knew that she had to take this job no matter what. It was paying double and that would help her at least to survive. The mansion in front of her was big enough to host a village. Life was so unfair, while some were living such life, others had to fight hard to make a living. She knew the chance for her to get that job was low but she was going to try. Working with a man like that would make a great plus in her CV once she finished school. And she also was hoping to learn things about the business. As her finances were tight, she could not buy a fancy outfit for that interview. The jacket she was wearing cost her the rest of her meals for this week and she really did not have any to change the shoes, hence why she was now standing at the doorstep of this mansion with sneakers. Her hair was tied to a tail with a nice black ribbon.

She slowly knocked the door and stepped a couple steps waiting for a maid to open the door. When she heard footsteps approaching she placed her best charming smile. She was actually hoping to get some tips from the maid. Henry, well, Lord Henry was a very handsome man who was separated from his wife. She was sometimes entertaining herself with the gossip pages and the rumor was Martha was caught with another man. Not that Devina would believe it, as no woman in her right mind would cheat on Henry. It was probably just the reverse. Her smile froze on her face when she faced Henry himself opening the door. He surely was more handsome in person compared to the pictures in the press but, why would a man like him take the door. She hesitated for a moment as he asked her a question. She was captured in his charm but thankfully it did not take her too long to gather herself back up. “Hi, Mr Henry.” she said, extending her hand for a shake. * A tight shake was important! * “I am Devina! And no, I am here for the executive assistant position.” she said, feeling stupid a little. Was she looking like a nanny rather than a professional assistant? Hopefully she could break his opinion during the interview.

He would scan his eyes from her top to her shoes.. She certainly was young.. beautiful but very young and then as she spoke about the actual position that she was here for, it made him chuckle.. He wondered if his desperation for a nanny had come to such a state that he had been hoping it would be the woman that would look after Theo in his absence.. His chuckle died down as he would step aside and offered her a smile on his rugged features to say, "Oh I remember that, I apologise as I was expecting someone else. Please come in.. And.. It's Lord Henry.. not Mr.." He'd let the woman walk in as he would notice her mesmerizing green eyes.. His smile remained once he corrected her, he had after all earnt that title so he would want her to address him correctly. But his s.ile would hopefully portray that he wasn't annoyed by her mistake, he was simply correcting her.. He would guide her in towards the living room.. There would be plenty of choices for her to take a seat as he would walk in front of her, taking the lead in the foyer after he had closed the large wooden door.. He wondered where the actual nanny was as he'd would offer for her to have a seat.. "Please get comfortable, I'll get you a glass of water, unless you prefer a coffee or something else instead.." He would let her slender frame walk into the living space while he himself would walk away to the open kitchen that was separated from the large living room area by the dining room space.. He would just about reach the kitchen counter and open the fridge when he would notice the figure of his 5 year old son walking into living room, entering through the door on the edges of the living space that connected it to the back garden.. The energetic figure of their 4 year old golden retriever, Remington not far behind.. His son oblivious to her introduction would walk up to her smiling, his dimples clearly showing as he would have his hands behind his back and announce his introduction to her.. -

"Good evening Miss.. I'm Theodore Williams, welcome to our house. Are you the one who will be playing and helping me study from now?" An expectant gaze of his large blue orbs would be looking up at her but before she would have the chance to reply, she would find the large golden retriever coming to sniff at her shoes.. his wet snout then travelling around her legs until he would meet his large eyes with her and have his tongue showing while Theo would reach his small hands towards Remington's collar in case she would be startled or scared of the dog while saying, "No, Remington, heel.. Come back.. The ma'am didn't call you yet.." The sight was pure joy for the man to observe, he could tell that his son was just as confused as he was. He had taken out a glass of water mixing in a third of cold water with the rest being still water as he would call out is his authoritive tone from behind the woman.. "Remi.. Heel, boy.." He would just try and ensure his dog would do one of his signature leaps onto her hip in case she was afraid of dogs as he would slowly approach from behind them, he had heard what was spoken but he'd let her answer his son, by herself..

She could see his eyes moving all over her. She knew she had to find a better outfit. She was looking like a nanny more than an assistant. The smile he gave though relaxed her a little. Maybe the position she mentioned had changed his mind. She hurried after him and closed the door behind her back listening to his correction. “Ah, yes… Lord Henry of course…” she smiled back following him to the astonishing living room. Her jaw almost dropped as this was bigger than the biggest house she had ever lived in and that was just one room of that amazing mansion. “Water is great Lord Henry, thank you.” she said with her kindest smile. She was not really offended and all she wanted was to take the job. She needed it. Desperately. The room was perfectly decorated. It was rich but elegant. She could not help but think if they hired a decorator or was that Martha. She slipped out of her dreamy thoughts with the sound of the baby boy. He was beautiful as everything was in this house. Golden retriever rushed into her, swaying his tail in the air. They, by nature, were not dangerous animals so she really did not bother him sniffing her around. The question of this beautiful little man hit her hard. Was she the new nanny… She wanted to scream NO! but instead she smiled and crouched down avoiding touching the dog. She did not know their rules about dogs and if she has to wash her hands before touching anything after touching the dog and all so she decided to stay on the safe side.

“Hello Theodore, I am Devina Dalton.” she said, smiling warmly to him. The eye contact was easier when she was crouched down to his level. Henry on the other hand was surely enjoying the evil question of his son. It was pure proof that Devina was looking more like a nanny than a personal business assistant and his silence was telling her that he was looking forward to hearing her reply. “I am here to assist your father Theodore but I would not mind to play with you or help you with your studies when I have spare time.” she said with her softest tone. The dog was already away from Devina playing around Henry. Devina slowly raised back to her feet and faced Henry. “A nice young man.” she complimented the little boy and placed herself on the couch across the window. The view was amazing. She would enjoy it as much as she could.

He would watch with a soft delight in the way his son would welcome her and he felt the expectations in his eyes.. Remi would swiftly come to his side and rub himself on Henry's leg, a distraction that he'd welcome as he would smile down and ask Remi to sit, and rewarding him with a, "good boy.." *once Remi did as he was asked.. He would then turn his focus back towards his son who was thanking the woman as he'd say in his cute voice, "Thank you, Miss Devina Dalton. Would you like me to call you Devina or Miss Dalton?" Henry would smile at the courtesy his little man was providing to the young woman as he'd approach behind them just as she would reply to him.. Hi large grip would reach for him and pick him up into his arms and say, "You want to get some rest, young man? You have to take a shower after play time.. could you go up with Remi, Daddy will be right up with you, okay?" He'd let his down after he would brush noses with him and planted his a kiss on his forehead. Theo would excuse himself by waving to the young woman before exiting the room while Remington would follow behind Theo trotting softly behind him.. He would then turn his attention back to her and offer her the water before settling into the single seat couch where he had folded his newspaper onto it's armrest.. "So, Ms. Devina Dalton, you're applying for the executive assistant, as in, my personal secretary right? Tell me two reasons why I should hire you.." He knew it was a generic question but he would want to ask her something simple before giving her something more complex to answer.. He'd relax into the armchair one finger over his lips as he simply stared into her big doe like eyes..

Devina smiled at Theodore once more "Devina is perfect Theodore." She replied and watched Henry deal with the boy. She waved back to the little man as he turned to leave for his room. He was just so perfect. A perfect looking, perfect business man along with being a perfect father. She could not help but smiled wryly. Her father was not as handsome or rich but he was an amazing father also. When Theodore and Remi left the room Devina turned her bright green eyes to Henry. The question was classic but she surely was not ready for it. "I am a student in law school Sir. So if you hire me, you can make an amazing show in the press how you support students which would support your case with Theodore against your wife at court and secondly if you would train me well you will have the best lawyer once I graduate. " she said with confidence. She knew she played her game a little low but she needed that job. Her eyes were locked with him hoping that she left a good impression with her answer as what she did was a dangerous gamble.

His light shaded, deep and hooded eyes would stay with her as he would watch her almost perk up as she spoke her words.. One of his large hands would come to his lips as his index finger would run along his bottom lip as he heard her reply.. It made him wonder how public his information really was if even a new potential employee could tell and remind you that you're the one getting dumped.. The feeling wasn't great and while it had nothing to do with him as a person that the remark was made too, but he would keep his icy gaze in hers as he would have his other large hand running along his thigh before he would reply to the answer of his first question.. "Interesting.. So you seem to have a considerable amount of information about my personal life.. But with all due respect, I could easily obtain those things another way, you're just basically asking for me to gamble on you.." He would still be having the same posture just that he would relax back into his couch a little more as he would explain.. "I mean the press can easily be bought and I'm sure my wife and her team of lawyers would be doing that already.. But the only major benefit I'd obtain is that I would opt for a junior lawyer, and what assurance would I have that I could win.." He would place both palms onto his armrest and maybe she'd assume that he disliked her but he would instead only change his posture to have his elbows on his knees now as he'd say, "I mean don't get me wrong it's a really good effort and I can see that you really did your research and did your preparation but I have to go with my gut feeling about that and tell you the truth that I feel like it's a gamble for me.." He would imply if it was good or bad regardless of how it looked, but he would now ask a second question, as he would catch her by surprise, "If you had 5000$ in your bank account right now.. how would you celebrate? He would ask and waited to hear her answer..*

This was uncomfortable. She was using his private life for her own agenda but life did not give her another option. She had to make money to be able to finish her school and be a lawyer. "Those are the information I gathered from the newspapers Sir, but on the other hand, you forget, I am in the law school. I am just a junior and I can still give you good advice." she looked at him with hope. He looked not happy with her words but he was coming around. At least he was making comments on it instead of putting her to the door for talking about his private life. "Yes, press can be bought, but remember your wife can do the same. So you need solid proofs that you are an excellent father and an amazing role model for your son." she pushed her case. She would not give in easily. The next question though was surprising. She really did not know how to reply to this. "I hardly celebrate the money in my account Sir as they never stay there." she smiled "But if you insist,..." she paused for a moment. "I have a private spot where I go when I am very sad or very happy. I would take my ice cream and celebrate it there." she replied to him but she did not know why was he asking her that. yes 5.000 was not big money but, she had never seen it together before.

His finger would come to his lips as he'd hear her with a pensive look to his features.. The first part of her offering good advice didn't fall on deaf ears but he would need her to prove it before he could just accept it as fact.. The second bit however.. That caught his interest as she'd continue.. His mind was running with what proofs he could collect to support his claims if it ever came down to it.. He didn't much care if she would smear his reputation, the public eye never really cared for that kind of stuff since they would the next story to gossip about rather quickly.. But he did worry for Theo.. It would help with the custody matters.. And if her words had put him into a train of thought, it would be her words that would bring him out of it as he heard her talk about talk about her money issues and then about her private spot where she'd enjoy her ice cream.. He smirked at that.. He would rest both soles of his feet on the marbled floor and leaned forward slightly as his elbows would rest on his knees again.. His intent gaze had never left hers wanting to see every reaction of her features.. "Okay, ai have to admit, your point about having some proof of being a good father is important to me.. I can't lose Theo.. And even after your ice cream, you would have $4,997 left.. and you mentioned it wouldn't stay there.. what's your main expense?" Money often displays a person's true nature and while it wasn't like he had her bank statement to tell what she spent her money on he would hope that her answer would reflect where her money was going.. But in his head he was already formulating an offer.. One that she may not be able to refuse..

Devina locked her eyes to him watching him closely. Every move, every mimic... She needed to know what he was thinking and she could see that she managed to take his attention. If the boy was here, in this house, that meant he cared for the little one. So she had to play on the boy, more than his career. She knew that was very unfair and a very awful thing to do but she needed that job. When he asked her the question she puzzled. She was not expecting that question. "My school" she simply and clearly replied. That was her biggest expense. "And then my rent and food." she said. She was doing her best to be healthy. She would not eat shit and quality stuff was costly. So she was doing her best to keep her meals healthy and low price possible. She was a good cook and could do fun menus from small ingredients. "But what is my expenses to do with my job application?" she sighed closing her eyes a moment and then once more met his. "I know, I am still young. But please give me a chance to prove myself to you." her heart was almost gonna stop waiting for his answer but she placed her poker face and waited for him to think and decide.

His slightly forward lean would display his intent to know as she spoke about her expenses.. his mind was already set on what he wanted to do for her and therefore it was hardly a thought that he needed to think hard about as a slight smirk crossed his rugged features.. Schools were obviously quite the drain and education wasn't cheap so knowing and that she felt a little entrapped to the whole fees of it gave him confidence that his offer would be accepted.. And his son obviously liked her which was also a bonus to make the offer in the first place.. But his eyes that had been so intently locked with her eyes would roam slightly as he would notice her figure.. She was going to be the best looking nanny he could get as well.. by far.. and he wondered if she would even be receptive to any forwardness from him as he thought about the nature of offer he would offer her.. The fees would obviously not be cheap but once that was settled she wouldn't really have any expenses if his offer included for her to stay full time at the residence.. And he wondered what would that cost him.. How much would be enough to sway her mind.. She didn't seem to have very flashy clothes on, not even an expensive bag and he wondered if that was due to just her circumstances or something that she was never interested in.. But as he turned his attention to her footwear, sneakers.. and he realised that the most expensive thing on her must have been the jacket.. profesional wear was never cheap.. and so with that slight smirk still on his lips he would lean back into this seat as he would present his offer finally to her while also addressing her question.. -

"Very understandable expenses and as an employer it's better to guage what you need than what you want.. I can offer you the 5,000 a month salary as an intern.. it's the highest anyone would offer you I'm certain but if you would consider it.. I can offer you a million annually.. if you were to reside here and be Theo's full time nanny.." He would have returned his eyes back into hers as he presented the offer.. he didn't want to miss any change in her features as he offered it.. It was considerable money for someone just getting by and he wondered if it would be enough to sway her.. He was thinking to add his conditions to that figure.. But he'd rather let her ask any questions as to what her responsibilities would be as he offered it.. wanting to see what and where her mind was going to go as he remained relaxed because what was a million to a man of his stature? A week's expenses.. for her, she would surely display what that figure meant.. and his eyes would watch it intently with a smirk..

Devina sat there hoping she would manage to convince the man, unaware of his plans. His gaze, was surely intimidating. Intimidating enough to make her give him a shy smile and run her eyes from him from time to time and moving them back to make sure that he knows she worth the position. "5000 a month..." she repeated after him. That would at least cover some of her school expenses and she could work somewhere else in the evening to pay her bills. And yes he was right, that would probably the highest she could get as a student. The next offer though cut her breath. She remained frozen trying to figure out if he was serious. Of course he was not! What was she thinking. She kindly smiled and raised to her feet. She did not come here to amuse the man. She came here to apply for a job. "Lord Henry, I understand you are a busy man and I am taking your time, but I was serious." she said hoping to get an apology but his gaze completely changed the game for her. He WAS SERIOUS! "And I guess...." the shock on her face was visible "so are you..." she whispered falling back to the couch. A nanny?! That was not why she was here. She came here to get a job that she could use in her CV but if she could get that money, she could pay her full school and then even start her own law firm after! She could feel all the blood rushed her cheeks blushing them lightly. She was still unable to reply. She was feeling cornered as she wanted the other job but she needed the money. "How can I be a full time nanny and finish my school at the same time?" she said loudly while it just had to stay as a thought. There she was gonna lose the job of her life just for being silly.

On the other hand, Henry was a very strong man. If she had done a little mistake with the boy, he could turn her life into hell. "I mean, I have never cared for a kid." she whispered. "What if I cant manage it?" she asked still not sure how to reply. The staying there part was the second problem but first she needed to handle all other questions in her mind. Her eyes moved around the house. Was she gonna live here? She wanted to slap herself. She did NOT! accept it... Not yet at least. She waited to hear his replies holding her breath.

Her reaction was to be expected ofcourse.. It made him smirk as she almost dismissed the offer in its entirety the first time she spoke.. But he didn't flinch or reply at all to those words and her realization that he was serious was amusing to him.. His back comfortably rested on the backrest of the couch meant that it would feel like a movie playing out in front of him as he'd smirk and watch her features change until he heard her first question.. Now that was a legitimate question.. and that made him push himself into a more attentive state as he would wait just a few more moments until he was sure that she had aired out her thoughts.. And he would be glad that he waited because her second question made that smirk wider as he would notice her looking around the house.. He knew exactly what she was thinking and he knew in that moment that he had her mind already thinking about it.. as he would reply.. "The how.. yes that's important.. So I can tell you aren't going to take a break in your studies.. but perhaps you could find a way to do your course in a more offline setting from a computer in your room and such. Which university did you go to, Yale? I know someone that could make it happen.." He wouldn't explicitly name the Dean but ofcourse he knew the Dean, the university has earned a number of donations from him over the years and he was sure they would accomodate his one single request, if his intervention would be required.. But obviously it would only happen with her consent.. But he would continue after allowing her a second or two to process what he had said as his elbows would return to his knees, and his face leaning forward with his huge upper body.. the posture would clearly show how muscular his arms were and how broad his shoulders were but it would be his blue eyes that would still be intently looking into hers that she should be more fearful of which might reflect in his words about her inexperience.. -

"Well, with the money you would earn, I'm sure you could actually hire a nanny to work with you in order for you to learn.. you need to understand, I think Theo likes you and he doesn't like too many people.. as his father I know this.. so what I am paying for is for you to be present for him.. you can hire and select a nanny to do the other things for him.. But yes, that would be from your salary and I need your eyes focused on whoever you hire because nothing should happen to Theo.. and I'm sure you understand that.." He would reply to clear out her doubts about the job experience as he'd continue.. "So, University, I prefer you finish your course online but that would be your call.. You have to provide Theo love and company.. and you get to hire a nanny for the other things like playing with him, what to feed him, teach him and everything else.. any other questions?" He would ask with his posture still the same as he would finally add.. "But yes, that nanny won't be needed full time.. she goes home after dinner.. you don't.. you will sleep in the room besides Theo's.." Having replied to her questions and clarifying a bit mor about the conditions he would wait what else she would want to know..

She lost her focus so she was not able to inspect him, his mimics. 1 million was a dream for her. That money would help her to finish her school and start her own life. On the other hand the offer he made was gonna change her whole life. "I dont have a laptop..." was her first reaction. She never managed to spare money to buy a computer for herself. She was handling her homework at library. It was too late though when she noticed how stupid was that comment. With the salary he offered she could buy any laptop she needed. Hell she could make a server in her room. "Maybe I can take evening classes..." she murmured again. She was brainstorming loudly but her eyes were locked on his like she was possessed. "Or who knows maybe you can arrange some online classes as you mentioned." she gulped. Was she already accepting it? "Are you going to pay me weekly? monthly? " the questions were flying in her mind. "Will I have an off day? ... Will I need to restrict my private life?" Not that she had a boyfriend but she could! She had to know details. She was really freaking out as there was a lot of things to discuss. "I don't eat meat." she said blurting out. The mansion was huge and just to walk the garden would take 15 mins till door not to mention she was not sure if she could find anything to eat , to her taste, close by. Her eyes once again moved around the house. This was a huge house but there were no maids around. Why? "Lord Henry, I am starting to think that you are trying to hire all in one but I assure you the only meal I can cook is scrambled eggs. Its my housemate who likes to cook. I simply share the cost and do the dishes. And if you ask me to clean this house, I wont have any time to spend with Theodore." she explained innocently. "I mean I don't mind hiring a nanny but it would be foolish to get 1 million annually and hire all the staff you need in this house. "

She was really still in shock and having hard time to believe he was serious. But that beautiful man who looks like a god, was actually sitting across her and bargaining with her seriously. "When do you want me to start?" she finally asked making sure that she clearly considering it.

Her initial remark made him smirk.. he didn't think he needed to answer that as his deep blue would stay their focus on the young woman whom he could tell had a few thoughts running through her mind at the moment.. his reply to tell her that they could get one hardly seemed important.. and so, he'd let her continue.. Whatever was going on in her mind seemed to very naturally be conveyed by her words as she mentioned evening classes next and it made him snicker.. those would be impossible.. And her eyes would see that reaction, perhaps she would understand how dismissive he was of that option until she spoke again of needing his intervention.. That made his smirk grow as he enjoyed the thought of her becoming dependant on him.. But her question about the payment terms made him return his focus back to a more straight face as he he would address her questions.. But she ended that one with one about her private life and it made him think about what he'd say.. She was the first woman that shy Theo had actual gone up to speak to and he took that as a sign.. maybe Theo liking her was the reason that he has taken such a keen interest in her to think about her personal life.. did she have a boyfriend? Had she been dating in the past? How many? All those questions swirled at the back of his straight face as he would hear her next very left field comment.. It made him chuckle slightly as the smirk he had before was now replaced with a bright smile at her remark.. He would notice her eyes scan the mansion again.. what was she looking for? Just admiring it? But hearing her next remark cleared some of those doubts.. and he exhaled as he understood that she was probably referring to the lack of house help and he was certain he could ease her mind about that as he would start to reply.. -

But then her final question.. that made him smirk the widest as he relaxed again.. the prey had fallen for the trap.. she took the bait and now all he had to do was reel it in.. He began with a slight snicker in response to her many thoughts that she had vocalized.. one hand going to brush at his rugged jaw as he would reply, to as many that he thought relevant.. "You will start immediately.. but since you haven't brought your stuff, I suppose you could manage it by tomorrow, Ms. Devina? And we have house help, who come in the morning to prepare everything, including dinner but tonight Ms. Rosa my cook, she and Ralph my driver are celebrating their wedding anniversary.. she makes very good vegetarian food so I don't think you will have any problems with that.." That hand that had been brushing his jaw would come to rest over his knee as he would explain the final bits of her payment.. "And you would be paid as per your wish.. I think you would deserve an advance so if you write down your account details, I'll be wiring you the money before you reach your residence so you can buy anything you'd need.. And regarding off days, that would be out of the question.. you would find yourself at ease here at home so you will only prioritise being available for Theo and me, if I ever ask of you.. In the meantime, I will speak to your Dean and you will receive your confirmation by tomorrow.." He would reach forward so that he could unlock his phone and go to his banking app.. he didn't want her to see his balance and such so he would ensure the screen was on the section to make a quick payment that only required to add the bank account details as he would hand his phone towards her.. -

9:45 AM

"Here, just put in your bank account details.. There will be more to discuss but I have your number somewhere, I'll make sure to message you.. if you have any other questions, feel free to ask, but otherwise, I have to bathe Theo now and we both are expecting you in the morning, ready to move in.." He would wait for her to punch his her details as his eyes would remain on her.. she might realise how rarely the man blinked.. a superpower almost, one he had developed over years of being in negotiations..

Devina was happy to hear that she did not need to cook and clean the house. He did not mention a cleaner but he surely was handling it himself. That was not her duty. She could see the change on his face when she asked about her private life but he also did not reply to that. Maybe he had to think so she did not push. She reached out and took his phone putting in her bank account, she handed his phone back and raised to her feet extending her hand out for a shake. "This was a pleasure Lord henry. I will be right here in the morning." she said and checked her watch. It was almost 5 pm. She could still go shopping and buy a couple suitable clothes for the mansion. When she was walking towards the garden gates of the mansion her phone pinged and when she saw the amount that was transferred in her account her eyes widened. "Holy Shit!" she muttered. "100.000?!" she turned and looked back at the mansion. She wanted to dance like crazy but no.. NO Devina not here. She turned and nodded to the security who would open the huge gates for her. _ In an hour she was in a mall to shop. First she got herself a Macbook air in the gold color with all the accessories she could need. Her next stop was clothing shops. After 3 hours her arms were filled with shopping bags and she still had lots of money. How was she gonna spend that much money?!

Finally she walked into a toy store and walked around. What could she buy for a boy who has everything? She finally stopped a very nice teddy bear. It was not very small but not very big. A very good size for a kid in the size of Theo. She bought it and made them place it into a gift box.

Next day she was at the door of the mansion. Her room mate was not happy with the situation till Devina paid her the rest of her rent till the end of the year. She did not want to lose her home. If things did not work, she needed a place to go back. She was wearing a very comfortable outfit. Her sneakers were irreplacable for her. Her jeans and triko was giving her a very relaxed look. At the end she as here for child care and she needed to be comfortable. She had two huge luggages at her sides. One was for her old clothes and one for the ones she bought yesterday. The gift she bought for Theo was at her hand. She looked at the gift bag anddecided it was too cold to share with a kid. She tore apart the gift box and hugged the bear like it was hers. She took a deep breath and looked at the huge house. She was still not believing that she was gonna live here. The whole conversation turned around in her mind all night. She could not sleep. What i he mean by that she had to make herself available for Theo and Him? Was he hiring her alo as an assistant? Or maybe he was just gonna ask her about legal stuff... she was gonna watch and see.

There was a slight smirk on his rugged features as she would take the phone.. his eyes would study her face when she entered her details.. he wondered what amount would be enough for her? Surely she didn't look like a splurger.. but maybe that's because she never got the chance to.. that thought was still running through his mind when she extended his mobile back towards him.. That smirk would curl into a welcoming smile as he would reach forward and gather it.. the slightest touch with her soft fingers as he did so with his large fingers grazing rather deliberately over them.. But even if she felt anything she did well to mask kt and rise up.. Her words kept that smile on his rugged features, especially since she addressed him with his title correctly.. His reply accompanied the motion of the man rising out of his chair to tower over her again.. "Indeed, the pleasure was all mine and Theo's, Ms. Devina.. we will expect you here just after breakfast time, 9 am.. have a good evening.." That smirk would return as he would finish.. He'd walk her out and close the large wooden door before making his way upto Theo's bedroom.. along the way, he did think of a figure to send her.. it would be risky but it would probably show what she'd do with money as he punched in the smallest 6 figure amount that he could.. 100,000K.. and that smirk would only widen as he knew she would find the amount on her phone before she would even leave the grounds.. He could just imagine the reaction on her face.. and he would try and peek out the window of the staircase.. he would see the faint figure of hers.. he could only see her turn around.. but even if he couldn't see her reactions that made him smirk as he would continue to walk up to Theo's bedroom, removing his shirt on the way there.. And the smile on his features as he'd see him would be the brightest yet.. Theo was brushing Remington's fur as he would smile and say.. "Who's ready for a bathe?" -

The young boy's eyes would almost look past him as he would return his gaze to his father's.. "Where is Ms. Devina, Daddy?" The smiled weakened slightly as he'd come to hug Theo and lift him upto to his bed.. his large grip moving slowly to unbutton his shirt gently as he would reply, his eyes returning to Theo's deep and bright blue.. "She will be with us from tomorrow, Theo.. She had to go and take care of something today.." The boy's face feel slightly as did Henry's.. he would bathe him and eventually after reading him a bedtime story, they would both feel asleep.. The mood slightly better by the time he would tuck Theo into his bed for the night.. And alone in his bedroom, he would think about her.. He thought to message her on the number he had but he would refrain as he had nothing reasonable to talk to her about.. He debated if he should send a picture of the room which would be hers.. But that also didn't make sense it was so late.. But sleep would soon find Henry as well, and he would welcome it.. his eyes only opening with the alarm, but also the sight of Remington already waiting for him.. his large hand would go to pat the dog's head as he'd say, "Yes yes, I know Lord Remington, I'm late to take you to your bathroom.. A walk with the dog, a little exercise and some breakfast later.. he would hear the ding.. And Ms. Rosa would walk to to the door to open it as she'd say noticing Devina open the door was pulled open..* "Hi.. you must be Ms. Devina.. Master Theo has been asking for you.." He had just finished his breakfast and he would be walking right up behind Rosa with a smile on his features.. he would notice her attire and he didn't miss the shoes either which made him snicker.. but the gift wrapping that was thrown into the floor confused him.. He wouldn't address it right away as he would bring his eyes upto hers.. -

"Welcome home Ms. Devina.. Theo has infact been awaiting your arrival and he's in the room right beside yours.. Allow me to get your luggage for you.." Rosa's eyes would turn to face him but he didn't care about the look from Rosa as he'd still have his eyes in hers..

Lilura placed a warm smile on her face when Rosa opened the door. "And you must be Ms. Rosa, congratulations on your anniversary and nice to meet you." she said with a very friendly tone. And that moment Henry appeared right behind her. He was looking awesome even in those simple outfit. Maybe even better. Her hair was a little bit messy but she still could not decide if he was looking better when he wake up or when in a perfect suit. Welcome home ... That made her feel weird. That place was somewhere that anyone would like to call home yet she was not feeling it like that. This was her first day here and now she was supposed to call it home. "Thank you." she managed to say. Her eyes were locked to his and she could swear that Rosa was feeling she should not be there right now. Henry was behaving like it was just two of them and Devina was not breaking that game. She slowly moved her luggage inside and leaned down to take the giver cover that fell on the floor while she was trying to stuff it in her bag. She slowly stepped in and moved aside for Rosa to close the door.

Any smile that Rosa had at the mention of Devina wishing her happy Anniversary faded as Henry went to gather her luggage from her while Rosa closed the door.. Henry was happy to see her and as he reached for her luggage he would notice her pick up the gift cover as he'd ask, "Hmm.. did you plan on getting a Theo a gift, Ms. Devina? Well, don't worry he's getting the best gift of all, someone he likes, who will give him company.. Now, let me take you up to your bedroom.." He didn't really wait for her to say okay as both hands would pull down the handlebars of the rollers and push them down to gather the more luggage handle of the suitcases. Considering his strength it didn't take him much effort to lift both bags up as the tension of the action would make his muscular arms very prominent in his cut sleeves.. Mrs. Rosa would turn a little red as she watched the sight but would move away to not let her jealously be on display as Henry had always been nice to Rosa as well but obviously Devina was much younger to Rosa.. But soon Henry was walking up the stairs without much care of what Rosa thought as he'd only look back once towards Devina to see if she was following him or not.. And he'd smile as he'd meet her eyes as he turned.. But now he wouldn't turn until he would take her luggage upto the first floor of the mansion.. a short corridor lay in front of them as the three doors.. The first one and closest to the right was the master bedroom.. But he would turn left as he walked passed the first door to announce, "This is Theo's bedroom but he's in the toilet.. I think.. and this is yours.." -

He would announce that just as they reached the end of the corridor on the left.. it would be the facing opposite to the master bedroom as he placed the bags down to turn the knob and push open the door.. He would gather both bags to take them in as he would place them towards the end of the room and would turn to face her.. And he would smile wanting to observe her reaction as she'd see it.. There was a carpet over the wooden flooring and the bed itself was plush and complimented the subtle color theme of the room.. There was a large mirror face the bed and waking though would the wall in closet and the shower and bathroom where she would later find a shower.. The smile on his face remained as he would say.. "So, do you like it Ms. Devina?"

Devina smiled shy when he mentioned the gift. "Actually yes" she whispered showing him the teddy bear she was carrying. It was not easy to buy a gift to a boy who was the little prince of a mansion like that. When he reached for the luggage, Devina blushed. "Oh! Please let me..." she said but it was already to late. Henry had both her luggage exposing his amazing muscles like a greek god. Her eyes darted between Rosa and Henry. She was hoping it would be Rosa to show her room but clearly she was mistaken. She throw an apologetic gaze towards her with a quick "Pleasure to meet you" she started to rush after Henry. She followed him up to the stairs and through the corridor. Hell this was big and she really hoped she would not get lost. As he announced her room was next to Theo's but of course she did not know where was Henry's. When he opened the door and walked in, her jaw dropped. That room was bigger than the living room of her own house and maybe it was even in the same size of the whole flat. She gathered herself pretty quick and cleared her throat. "It is more than enough Lord Henry, thank you so much." she said humbly but her heart was dancing in her chest and the moment Henry would leave the room the heart will not be alone. The colors of the room was chosen perfectly. Once again she could not help but think if that was Martha or him. She slowly approached to the bed and moved her hand over the sheets. They were so soft and she was sure, she was touching the most expensive ever sheets she had ever seen. She placed her laptop bag and the teddy bear on the bed and turned to face Henry. "Thank you again for giving me this opportunity. I will do my best do be a good company for Theo." she said. "I know you offered it to me because he loved me, but what if he changes his mind? I mean I cant pay back your down payment, I already spent more than I should." she blushed again.

Having placed her luggage down he would smile now at her reply.. He would walk a few paces away from the luggage towards her while his arms should showed some signs of the physical effort as the viens popped out rather naturally.. His smile was wife and he felt a pride about the room itself.. but that smile so naturally turned into a slight smirk as he heard her mention the money as he'd chuckle and reply.. "Now, why would we want to think of the worst when we're just starting out? I mean, I understand the concern and everything but first of all, I trust in you that you wouldn't do anything wrong to Theo and that you'd care for him.. But even if something like that were to happen, I'm sure you would figure out something.. the contract, by the way would be ready by this evening anyway.." He was almost besides now as he would look down at the sight of the young woman looking back up into deep blue eyes, with his smirk still on him as he'd add, "But so far you haven't done a step wrong and I'm sure Theo still likes you, besides it's when they are teens when they get all strange and weird, I've heard.. And about the room, I'm glad you liked it because it's very different now to how my wife kept it, I got the whole place redone after she left.. so I really hope you're not just saying that.." He would turn his eyes towards the new colour patterns around the room which he had personally selected.. it helped him cope with the loss of his wife to change almost everything about the house.. and since she was the first person who would be seeing the changes and staying in the room, he was just happy to have that admiration and validation of his choices.. no matter if it came from a woman who was his employee technically.. But he did realise that he was rather close as he would set his eyes back on her.. he had the back of her legs pinned against the bed, he'd notice and that would pull himself back and say, -

"Well, Theo should be out soon, you can get comfortable in here or visit his bedroom if you'd like.. He's not allowed to lock his room obviously so feel free to walk in.. I'm just going to take a shower in the meantime.. My bedroom is the one opposite to yours on the other end of the corridor.. let me know if you need anything at all.." He would wait in his place for a few seconds in case she did need anything as his hands rested on his hips making his broad shoulders and chest look even more prominent.. but soon enough he would have exited her bedroom as he made his way towards his shower..

Devina, instinctively took a couple steps back when he walked towards her. It was a habit from growing up without a father. She had to keep herself safe. And right now she was trying so hard to keep her eyes off his muscles. Henry was an interesting man. Another man would have many maids around in such a big house while he only had Rosa. "I am going to be a lawyer Lord Henry, I have to think every aspect of things..." she smiled kindly. It was indeed an habit. When he mentioned a contract she tensed. "A contract?" she asked her smile fading. "Why do we need a contract?" she had never seen a contract for a nanny and considering she had spent some of the money, an amount that she could not pay back, the idea was scary. Her eyes once more moved around the room. So this was his doing. "No, I was not complimenting. I really love it. I am hoping to create nice memories in this beautiful room." she said meaning Theo. Nodded to the man as he mentioned the place of his bedroom. She was grateful it was far from hers and he had to pass Theo's to reach hers. That was something. "Thank you Lord Henry" she said watching him closing the door and leaving. Her gaze turned back into the room as her smile widened. She made a short happy dance but she had to cut it in the middle as she heard little prince looking for his father in the corridor. She rushed out of the door and smiled at him before crouching down to his level. "Hello Theodore." she said and watched the boy's face enlightened seeing her there. Maybe the boy really loved her for a reason she would never know. "Would you like to meet properly as I will start to live here with you from today on?" she smiled. "Maybe we can start with you showing me your room and your favourite toy?"

Her remark of wanting to create memories made him smirk as he stood there.. her earlier question of the necessity of a contract was something he hadn't really answered, so that would be the first thing he would address with a smile on his rugged features.. "The contract is just to ensure you know of your duties and such.. I think you can understand that the trust is more important than anything else but the legal team, which you wanted to be a part of would always tell me to have everything agreed on paper.." But he smiled once he said it.. the agreement was hardly anything more than a playbook, atleast for him.. after all he would hardly even bother about courts if something were to go wrong, but she didn't need to know that.. and so, having said that he would slowly turn to leave her room leaving her door partially open as he walked across the corridor to open up the door across the hall.. And he didn't waste time to step out of his clothes, his door never fully locked or closed as he undressed and went into his shower to get cleaned up of the sweat from his workout.. It was probably the running water which numbed his sense of hearing towards Theo's voice or maybe it was the comfort of knowing that she was there.. but either way as Theo stepped out of his room, to call out to him, he for once, didn't hear it.. But Theo would be looking perplexed as he would step out of his room, Remington who always stayed in Theo's room could be seen sleeping after his breakfast on his bed which was on the floor as the door creaked open wide by Theo's departure from the room.. But the second that Theo heard her voice, he would turn and smile as his hands went to his back.. His body turned towards her, he would greet her back to say, "Good morning Ms. Devina.. I'm very happy to see you!" -

Theo had a wide smile on his face that accentuated his dimples on either cheek as his light blue eyes stayed with hers.. Her words as she crouched only made him happier as he did his best to not jump about in glee.. the reason for his happiness would not be obvious to Devina yet but he would extend his tiny right hand towards her so that she could take it as he turned to face his room to say, "Yes, please! My room has many toys!" Theo could almost jump and hop at the excitement of showing off his room to her.. He would wait for her to take his hand and for once Remington didn't jump up to come meet her but the dog's eyes would follow her as she'd enter the bedroom.. The bedroom was large and had a light shaded wooden flooring on it.. Remington was sat on his bed which was right besides Theo's and it would be obvious to any eye that the bedroom was themed of the space.. The white LED board shaped like Saturn and the astronaut on the floor would also leave no doubt as the boy would bring her to sit on his bed as he would hurriedly hand her the astronaut and gleefully say, "Look, me!" His bedroom itself didn't hold any pictures at all.. none of Henry or of Theo's mother.. it may not seem obvious at first glance but Henry had chosen not to have any pictures in there.. The boy would wait as he placed the toy on her lap.. Henry himself would have just exited his shower since he didn't intend to wash his hair today and had just about wrapped the towel around his waist.. He would begin to get dressed as this conversation took place in Theo's bedroom..

Devina enjoyed the warm welcome of Theodore. He was the luckiest boy ever she had met considering she had grown up without a father and lately also lost her mother and him, on the contrary had the best dad ever and while not in the same house he still had a mother. Devina reached and grabbed the hand of the little boy and walked into his room. Like very room she had seen so far, this was no different. It was perfectly decorated with an exquisite taste. It was though interesting that there were no pictures around the room. "Wow..." she said making it sound very excited. "Theo! This is amazing!" she said looking down at him. Once he showed her the toy, this time she crouched next to it and smiled. "Hello Astronaut Theo. I am Devi..." she winked at the boy. "How about you call me like that from now on?" she said and placed a hand to his cheek rubbing his cheek with her thumb. He was a beautiful boy. As beautiful as his father. "Now please tell me, did you have your breakfast yet or should we go and fill this stomach?" she gave a playful pinch to his belly. Caring a kid was clearly not her cup of tea but Theo was an easy going boy, very well behaved. "I may even read you a story while you are eating! Do you have a favorite book yet?" she asked him.

Henry had just slipped into a brown color tshirt and a black trouser as he got ready after his shower.. He exited his room, having dried his hair and grew curious as to the open door of Theo's bedroom.. That curiosity would lead him to lean into the doorway as he saw the sight of his son and Devina talking as she called him Astronaut Theo.. He could see the wide smile on Theo's face who replied, "Okay, Devi!" He had certainly made a new friend and Theo's wide smile displayed that happiness which instantly made him smile as well.. her question about food though caught his attention, Theo generally was a fussy eater and a faint remained on his rugged features as he'd see what the response would be.. His son didn't respond much to the mention of food but his face lit up at the mention of a story.. He would rush to his side table to take out a nursery rhymes book which he would show to her.. "Dada.. I mean, Daddy reads to me before bed, can you read me one for breakfast?" His son's eyes had a sparkle to them as he asked that.. but before she could say anything Henry would cough to catch the attention of them both as he remained leaning on the doorway.. his eyes were focused on his son for the moment.. "Theo, don't forget to say thank you to Devi. Now, come.." He would smile and turn his attention towards her as Theo would reach for her hand to grab and pull her towards Henry at the door. Now that she was holding on his nursery rhymes book, Theo was able to keep his one hand with her and the other with Henry's.. Henry would smile as she would approach and say, "We have trouble making Theo eat sometimes.. and clearly he needs more than nursery rhymes...but it is his favourite.." -

They would walk together towards the stairs and at the edge of the stairs, that's where his son would stop and wait for them both to take a step down the stairs first before he would follow them with a hop. Theo was finding his fun for himself and Henry didn't mind as he would look towards her beautiful face hoping that neither did she..

Devina was watching Theo with joy till she noticed the man at the door. Henry was watching them with all his glory. The brown Tshirt looked amazing with his blond hair. Devina grabbed the little boy's hand and raised to her feet following him towards his father. "Of course I would read it for you" she said and smiled to Henry and turned her gaze to Henry. "I will do my best not to skip his meals Lord Henry." she said and paused with them at the edge of the stairs. She looked at the man with empty eyes for a moment before she could understand what was going on. "OOO He wants to fly ! I see!" she said and stepped down grabbing his hand tighter to avoid any problems. They slowly stepped down the stairs playing with the boy. Theo was reminding her the childhood she had missed. Henry was an extraordinary father and so was her own father but she lost it before she could enjoy him more and after that... it was misery. If someone had watched them from outside, they would think Devina was his mother. She never knew she could really enjoy a child but Theo was a perfect boy. Aside from his beautiful look, she was a very well behaved kid. When they arrived to the bottom floor Devina turned towards the breakfast table. She did not know if she would be able to feed the boy but she sure was gonna try hard.

Theo was having fun holding onto the hands of his father and her and using their grip to swing himself from each step.. Henry shook his head at the risk of the maneuver but allowed it since his son was very happy and the fact that he trusted in Devina to be able to hold his weight from her grip.. And he wasn't very heavy at all as they finally made their way to the bottom of the stairs.. Henry by now had stolen a few glances towards her hoping that she wouldn't see it and it didn't escape his attention how they might have looked together.. just like a family.. and that kept a wide smile on his rugged features as he was happy that his son would have a mother like figure in his life, something he had craved for when growing up.. Henry barely spoke of his childhood since it wasn't an ideal one at all, having come from money and losing his mother early to a disease he had found himself in the mercy of a strict nanny and an even stricter father who was more than happy to simply discipline his child.. those are the exact same things Henry wanted to avoid for his son and wanted to do everything that his father didn't while avoiding everything that his father did do.. But as they would all turn towards the dinning table, he would let Theo get onto his high chair as Mrs. Rosa would bring out some milk and scrambled eggs for Theo before turning her attention to Henry to ask, "What would you both like for breakfast, Sir? The usual?" He smirked slightly at the question as he wondered if she would like his breakfast as he'd reply, "The usual for me Mrs. Rosa.. Devi, would you like to have toast with eggs and coffee or something else?" He would reveal what the usual entailed as Mrs. Rosa would turn to Devina to hear what she'd have before turning away into the kitchen to make the arrangements.. Henry would smile as Theo's demand would come very quickly and expectantly as he'd ask, turning his cute face to her, "Devi.. story!" -

Henry would hmm sternly and that seemed to have reminded Theo to add, "Please.." The last word coming out in the cutest coy tune from the boy who kept his big blue eyes focused on her which made Henry smirk.. a soft pitter patter of Remington's paws could be heard approaching as he would take his place looking towards Theo which might tell Devina that it was normal for Theo and Remington to share whatever breakfast the young boy could not have.. This was a small test, she was positioned at the right side of the seat of Theo while Henry was on the left side.. he would have his own blue eyes searching for hers as he would wait to see what she which nursery rhyme she might choose to read to the boy as Henry would reach in to gather some of the eggs onto his spoon to feed his son.. it would be evident that Theo did not have any allergy to eggs atleast..

Devina sat right next to the boy. She was surprised as Rosa asked if she would want the same thing with Henry as she had no idea what it was till he mentioned it. Her eyes moved between the man and the maid. A warm smile appeared on her face while her hand moved to Theo's giving it a warm squeeze. "Actually I would want same of Theo. Scrambled eggs and milk please." she told her the woman turning her attention to Theo. Remington was already there and she was getting used to the beast. Her mother never allowed her animals, they did not have the budget to take care of one anyways. "Actually..." she said and placed the book on the table. "I have an idea. How about I dont read you books but tell you the fairytales I have listened when I was at your age? I know so many of them that I can tell you a different one every morning..." she offered, her eyed moving between the father and the son. Next move was unexpected. Remy woofed and places a paw on her lap like he was ready to listen to her stories. She could not help but iggle before patting his head. "So you are ready to listen..." she said and looked back to Theo..."So we will eat same things and know the same tales. What do you say Theo?"

Mrs. Rosa's reaction didn't leave Henry to wonder too much since he could sense that the older woman probably was developing a bit of a jealously to the presence of her.. But her words absolutely filled his heart as he would remain standing on the right of Theo watching Devina focus on his son.. If she had any doubt about being able to care for his son, she simply blew any doubt away as he wondered why had he never thought to have the same thing as Theo.. he exhaled taking in the sight of her as she spoke, her pretty eyes moving between him and his son.. he smiled as he would walk a few paces away from the dining table and called out to the older woman.. "Mrs. Rosa, actually, I will have the same as well.. milk and scrambled eggs please.." He couldn't be happier as he would walk those few steps back to join her and his son as he would smile with his eyes intently and admirably focused on the woman as he would hear his son's excited reply, "Yay! You will love the eggs! And I want to hear the fairytales too, Devi.. thank you!" His son would excitedly reach his tiny arms to wrap around her waist as he would hug her.. Henry couldn't contain his happiness at the sight but he had to resist doing the same and reaching to hug her in just how purely she made him son happy.. if her eyes were to look at him however, he would find his deeo and bright blues would have barely made any effort to blink even as he admired the women's love that she had already given his son a moment that he had even been derived from by his own mother.. -

That realization would make his eyes almost start to swell while his heart was full of happiness.. he would take a seat slowly as to avoid anyone noticing that as Theo would turn his bright blue gaze towards Henry to reach for his hand.. his other tiny hand would remain wrapped around her hip as his face would be buried around her tummy.. and when he pulled away to break his hug with her, Henry would still have a bright smile as he'd say, "Please take a seat Ms. Devina.." His eyes would still admire her as they shifted off of his son's.. Theo's eyes too were focused towards her but there was an excitement to learn which fairytale she would tell him while Henry would wait for her to take a seat opposite to him on the marble top dining table..

Devina was not expecting Henry to change his meal. A bright smile widened on her face. She turned her attention back to Theo though as the little boy wrapped her small arms around her hugged her. Remy was barking now. Devina was closer to Theo than his comfort zone. It did not scare but made her smile. She patted on her hip to let Remy jump and she gave a hug at him too. Giving love was a luxury for her since she lost her parents so she was appreciating the moment. She was not feeling very much sense of belonging in such gold plated dining room but the pure happiness of boy was giving her joy. She decided to use Remy as the protagonist of her story and made up a bad cat as antagonist and made up an adventurous story for Theo. She was feeding bite by bite as the story went on. She was not only telling but also acting like the characters from time time. Even Remy was listening to him with interest. In no time, the meal was over. Both for her and Theo... "So... tooth brushing?" she smiled playfully expecting a reply from Theo. She did not know how many times he was brushing his teeth as they would be all gone anyways getting replaced by new ones around he is 12 or so but it was important that he get the habit. "Do you have anything programmed for today Lord Henry?" she asked as she had no idea how to entertain the boy all day. The meals were okay, bath before bedtime was okay... but she had no idea about his routines.

Henry was a little at awe of the way Devina handled the situation.. she was not only able to ensure Theo's attention but also that of Remy who would quite often get distracted by the birds in the garden too.. He was just about to tell Remington to move away when he would observe her calling him onto her lap.. the shared hug between her and everything he held dear almost made him wish to jump up and go for a hug himself.. It took a lot of restraint to stop himself as he would notice Mrs. Rosa return with their breakfast.. he would sit and listen through with her as he'd eat.. the admiration for her only grew as he'd see the way Theo did eat his breakfast properly and quickly as he found his gaze stealing glances at her every now and then.. a few times it would meet hers as a smile would be present for her on each instance it happened.. But then once she was done, he would smile brightly as he'd take his large hand to caress his son's head as he'd say.. "You heard Devi, Theo, can you go and brush your teeth before we play?" He'd smile towards her midway as he spoke.. his eyes would search for hers even when Theo would jump out of the chair and he gave a hug to her.. the sight was truly heartwarming that his son had started to like her as much as he did.. Henry's own thoughts about her were a mix of admiration and adoration for her talents.. he smirked as he thought about her doubting herself for this role.. But then his son would thank her and rush softly towards his bedroom to brush his teeth, he got out of his chair to step closer to her as he would bring her plate of eggs towards her, as he would gather the eggs in the spoon and bring it to her lips offering her a bite.. -

"I'll go check that he brushes properly and in case he needs help.. you eat your breakfast Devi.. and today was just a get to know each other day.. I think Theo and Remy will play in the garden and we can just keep watch, but would you like to step out the house? I could imagine taking Theo out to the park or the mall, we might need some books to have more stories since you've set the bar really high.." He would smile as he would say that.. he wondered if the gentle praise and admiration he had for her, would reflect and show how much he was impressed by her as he would wait for her to take her bite before he would place the plate back.. he would walk away for now so that she could finish her breakfast but by the time he would return, having ensured that Theo got into a good habit of brushing his teeth after meals he would already be searching for her to se if she had eaten and where she was..

Devina hugged Theo and watched him leaving to go tooth brushing When her eyes turned back to Henry, she froze. He was already off his seat and next to her. She watched the man explaining what they were gonna do for the day and then offered the spoon. The gesture was very out of place in her book. On one end, she did not wat to eat from his hand and on the other she did not want to upset him. Her cheeks blushed as he moved closer and took the bite. Her eyes were lowered running not to meet his gaze. She was gonna stay in this house yes but that was gonna be weird. Rosa was already not pleased with her presence and Devina could not help but think what would she think if she had seen this. "Thank you, Lord Henry." she murmured and watched him leaving the room. He was indeed a very handsome guy. She , though came back to reality as Rosa started to gather the table almost hitting plates to each other. It was not hard to understand she was not pleased. Her heart almost stopped. Did she see that? She did not know but she had no intention to find out. She turned back to her breakfast and started to eat waiting for Father and son to come back. He was paying her a very good money and she was going to whatever it takes to keep this job. It was important for her future.

Henry would have a bright smile on his rugged features as he'd guide Theo along with him towards his bedroom and eventual bathroom.. he had even stolen a glance towards her but he noticed Rosa was clearing up some plates.. the sounds didn't sound too welcoming.. but he could address that later as he would turn his attention down to his son.. He could notice Theo happy and joyful as he hopped with each step.. he hadn't seen him THAT happy in a while.. But as father and son would take a step towards the staircase, his son would look up to him and ask, "Daddy, is Devi not coming?" He chuckled and picked up the boy who seemed to be too curious and taking forever.. Henry's steps would be faster as he carried the seemingly weightless body of his son into his arms.. it made Theo laugh and he loved the sound of his giggles.. they would quickly find themselves in Theo's bathroom before he would even complete replying to his son.. "Ms. Devina.. okay fine, she did ask you to call her Devi.. and let her eat, my cute little astronaut.. do you still want to take me shopping for the astronaut suit you wanted or have you forgotten?" That question would remind Theo about the suit he had been asking his father.. his son seemed to already know that he needed to be quick.. no sooner had Henry sat him down on bathroom counter, the young boy would reach for his toothpaste and brush before getting started.. Henry too kept an extra toothbrush in Theo's bathroom since he needed to brush with him often.. And soon excited by the prospect they would both come down the stair as his son would enquire, "Daddy? Devi will come too, right?" Henry would snicker as he'd meet the bright blue eyes of his son and he'd reply just before they would enter the kitchen area.. and he'd set his down from his shoulders where he had been carrying his son.. "Yes she will my son.. now before we can go, please go and exercise your dog.. Remy, here boy, fetch.." -

He would set down his son facing the garden door.. he would throw a soft rubber ball to the garden grass in the distance to ensure that his young dog would get exercised as well before he would smile and turn his blue eyes towards the young woman.. "Come here Ms. Devi.. it's a nice day, come and help me keep a watch over Theo.." He would wait for her to come to his side.. and when she would reach him, his arm would be wrapping around her waist almost instantly... His large grip would come to rest at her hip, until he realised that the moment he had been having wasn't with his wife.. That realisation made him want to take his hand away as his smile almost left his features as he walked them out towards the garden.. he would try to see if she would brush away the touch he had taken of her as his feet would find soft grass since he was taking off his Versace slip ons at the carpet of the house..

Devina finished her breakfast while Henry was dealing with the little boy. She really needed a nanny if she wanted to stay in track with her classes else Theo would take all of his time. She looked through her phone and arranged a few interviews for the next day. She appeared at the door when Henry came back with Theo and walked next to him when he called her to join. She was though puzzled when the man wrapped his arm around her. Her heart started to race. What was that now? Yes he hired her to take care of his son but that would not give him the right to touch her as he wished. She rushed forward and moved between Theo and Remy to play with them. That was the only was for her to avoid his touch without confronting him. She was probably right on her guesses. It was Henry who cheated on Martha. And considering he was now trying this on Devi, was it Rosa? Was that why that woman was acting weird? She grabbed the ball from the floor and threw for the dog and started to race with Theo after Remy. Her mind was full of questions and she was already regretting to spend some of the money. An amount that she could not pay back...

He hadn't expected her to react and run away the way that she did.. It made him draw his hand back which had been left grasping and wrapping around thin air.. the arm would go around to his own back, and his other arm would too so that his hand could gather his other one wanting to hide the rejection he felt from his touch.. He would do his best to not display any of his disappointment however as he would watch the three playing while he would make his way further into the garden.. the sight of son being happy around her made his smoldering look break and the thoughts as well as doubts if Devina had though that he was trying to hit on her, would fade now as a bright smile would replace both.. He would watch the golden retriever get the ball as Theo would ask for the ball once he reached the side of Remington.. the dog would oblige and let him take the ball which was surely covered in Remy's saliva.. but the ball would be tossed and Remington would rush watching the ball and not realising that Devina was in the way.. Henry could almost foresee it happening as he would burst out running taking strides that his long legs would afford him to reach her.. and just as Remington would collide into her, she would be falling to her back.. he was just glad to have made it in time as one of his arms would wrap around her back while the other would wrap around her neck to ensure that his large grip gathered the back of her head.. The posture meant that he was leaning forward slightly and her body was leaned back a lot, but now they were entangled in an even more intimate position than they had been before when she had run away.. he would however pull her body back up at the realization of her earlier reaction to ensure that she was back on her feet as he moved his eyes away from hers and let her body go.. "Remi, bad boy!" -

He generally never yelled at the dog since he was very dear to Theo and Remi instantly sank to the grass with a sorry look in his big puppy eyes as Theo would reach his side to stroke his furry head to say, "I'm sorry Daddy, it's my fault, please don't yell at Remi.." He exhaled and stepped away from her now that she was up on her feet at the boy would match Remi's large brown puppy eyes to say, "I'm sorry Devi.. Remi didn't mean it, I promise.. thank you Daddy you didn't let Devi get hurt.." He wouldn't react with his facial expressions as he heard that.. he would let her address the situation while he'd just focus on Theo to say, "I understand but Remi has better reactions since and Devi could have been hurt.. but okay, just okay carefully.." He would say and remain there while wondering if he should just give her some space instead.. clearly she hadn't liked their physical touch earlier and this one was surely even more..
