"Princess, you get back here right this second!" The sound of an angry nursemaid screeched down the hallway of a large stone castle. The chuckling of the castle's princess could be heard as princess Elisen stayed tucked down behind a large statute within the hall. She watched as Agnes, the angry nursemaid, came tearing down the hall and then took a sharp right, completely missing Elisen. Elisen smirked and slipped out from her hiding spot and she went the opposite way down the wall.
Walking at a brisk pace, Elisen made her way through the winding halls of the castle until she went out a side entrance and arrived at her favorite location; the stables. She inhaled deeply, not minding the smell of hay and manure. She walked down the dirt path to the stables, and then she went inside, looking for a specific horse. When she came to the last stall, but the biggest one, she grinned at a large black stallion. It huffed and walked over to the door. Elisen opened the door, and a stable hand approached. "Do you wish to ride, Your Highness?" "Please, and please get him ready as soon as possible." The stable hand chuckled, grabbing a bridal and saddle from the rack. "Is Miss Agnes searching for you?" Elisen winked. "Something like that."
"Princess, you give that old woman too much stress." The stable hand chuckled, fixing the saddle and bridal to the large stallion who huffed and stomped his hoof eagerly. Once the stallion, dutifully named Obsidian, was readied, Elisen hopped up. She didn't mind sitting slightly sideways. She and Obsidian had a special bond and she knew he would never ride hard enough to make her fall.
Snapping the reigns, Obsidian took off down the path towards the woods. Elisen loved taking Obsidian on rides through the forest.
