Letter 1:

It’s been a long day.. university life isn’t so glamorous as the movies and Tv series look like. It’s nothing like friends, or never have I ever, or whatever cliche university show you can think of. It’s more so like, hell. The pure definition of hell.
If you don’t look like Meghan fox or Kim K or any other beautiful women, you can’t get into any of the sororities. If you don’t drink or do drugs, you don’t have friends. If you don’t have friends. You don’t have a purpose here. And that’s exactly what I am. I have no purpose. I have no looks, no matter how many sorority I rushed for Sigma alpha Nu, Kappa kappa beta? More like cults for pretty girls to just get drunk and fucked.  I’m not even a big drinker.. or smoker but it seems like to fit in I’d have to be.  I almost did, I tried vaping, quit it immediately it wasn’t me.  I’m the quiet one, the studious girl, committed to my academics.. but nobody is like me, nobody in college is like that, fuck it’s even hard to find students like me. It’s like we’re freckled everywhere but never seen each other, I’m convinced I’m the only one. Everyday I get used in class by students wanting answers, and when denying they say things such as “fuck you nerd” “cunt..” it hurt.. so much do I turned to the one thing that brought me joy.. self harm…

Annie was a 21 year old college student in her last year of university. She was the lone wolf, never socializing much and just attending to her classes, she couldn’t bother to make friends, she failed so many times to the point where she kept to herself. The name Annie slipped alot of students mind but not the professors as she was one of the brightest students in university, having a high gpa, deans list etc… only like this because she drowned herself In school work. She didn’t expect anybody to care, especially not the popular boy in university. Matthew had a name and history to himself, everyone who heard the name Matthew just swooned off their feet like a damn cartoon, but not Annie. Annie couldn’t care less for names, or popularity clearly.. she’s seen the boy a couple times on campus but never bothered to say anything, she was like a sheep in a pack of wolves, shy and quiet surrounded by hungry fuck boys and girls.. one day Annie would be sitting under a tree reading her book, as someone would toss a frisbee by her, it landed nearby as she’d peer up and heavily sighed. Great it was no other than Jason, the fuck boy of fuck boys, having to fuck every girl he lays eyes upon.. as Jason approached he’d bend down and looked down at Annie’s breasts as she’d cover them up immediately

“ain’t no shame in your beautiful boobs baby..” Jason spoke winking

Matthew Atkinson was named the definition of success in the university he used to study in, he never believed it at all , at the end he was a normal guy , trying to compete as others. He was a basketball starter in his university. The Arkansas Giants of the Arkansas University was named as the the best basketball team of the generation. The 5 players , who were starters of the basketball team , were deemed as the miracles of the generation, all 5 best in their positions. Matthew was one of the 5 , known as best ace of the group, all the other 4 were also popular. He was the most because he played the ace position , or the front man. Matthew was dedicated to his game , veery focused . He was above average in studies , as he aimed for a degree as well. But, nobody saw that of him, rumours and stories around him was a daily thing for him. Everyday he will hear false stories of him fucking or going out with a new chick. He used to be disappointed with such information, were he had never done anything like that all. He has rejected most of the girls who approached her ,and he avoids parties ,as his coach has laid strict rules for the miracles of the generation. He follows strict diet and stays 10 hours in gym and practice combined. He has no time to fuck around , but the rumours and stories made him a bad boy. His close friends knew the truth , but the amount of rumours that used to come , made it impossible to squash them. Matthew accepted those , and if somebody used to question him something, he politely used made them understand about the stories are fake. He used to get 2 hours of free time in between practice where he used to meet his classmates and have lunch in the open ground. Most girls used to hangout with him at that time and approaches were normal for him. That day , it was a fine day , sunny outside and they all decided to go out in the ground and have their lunch. after the lunch they decided to stay ... (edited)

The girls decide they should play frisbee , Jason went to fetch a frisbee from the office , and the game began. Clara asked him-"Matt wanna join ?" "No i am good , need to rest a liitle , loads of training left for today," as he sat on the benches placed all around the ground. Janice , one of the fashion icon of the college, also opted out of the whole game thing. Janice was a adamant girl , very corny and i get what i want types. She was approaching Matthew for a long time, but he didn't wanted any part of her lifestyle. She seized the opportunity and sat down beside her , trying to converse with him. Matthew never disrespected anyone , even if he hated anyone , he would never ignore anyone. Whomever approached him , he would answer politely. Janice was talking about many things , he was uninterested in but he carried on. He was looking around when he saw the play has stopped and Jason is approaching someone near the tree , talking to her and smirking.

"What's happening there?" *He asked cutting off Janice. *"Oh it's the nerd ,Jason is tormenting her i guess, He and his dick can fuck anyone...eww" *Janice laughed while replying. *"Nerd? who is she?" * *"It's Annie , the weirdo, she is in my class, ignore her , will ya?...so boo , what i was tellin...." *Janice couldn't finish her sentence while Matthew stood up and started walking towards the tree. *"Gimme a second" *as he replied and rushed towards the scene. Matthew approached them while he could hear Jason talking shit to the girl. He quickly declared-"Jason leave her alone , we are leaving now!"* Jason's eyes closed in disgust, he can't argue with Matthew , he was famous and he wanted chicks to fuck , he was his key . "Too bad girl , we will meet again." Jason replied looking at her , as he obeyed him started moving towards his group. *"I am sorry for his behaviour , if he approaches you again, please tell me , i will look into it." *He smiled and started moving towards his group, the break was about to end, it was time for practice. @𝓢𝓪𝓫𝓫𝔂

Annie just listened to all his disgusting comments on what he wanted to do to her in bed, her head spinning as she gag in disgust

“your a sick human” *Annie spoke with venom as this seemed to anger Jason.. as he was about to go off she heard the other voice interrupted. Thank god someone heard her prayers.. she’d gaze up her smile dropping.

Great, it was Matthew.. one fuck boy over over another.. she’d sigh just ready to get up and leave on her own terms but before she even could she heard Matthew speak.Leave her alone… her eyes widen, was someone actually sticking up for her- and of all people.. Matthew?!*

“thank you..” she’d mumble under her breath feeling chills as he said we will meet again. The subtle threat to his voice as she’d scoff, flipping him off as his back was towards her

Annie looked up to him, her green/hazel eyes glistening in the sunlight, squinting slightly at him. She definitely had that question of why did he help her and her facial expression showed that.. her brows furrowed hearing him apologize for Jason’s behavior.. he of all people—
“um- it’s fine… thanks..” *she say rubbing the back of her neck, her voice was quiet and soft a bit of an accent heard as she’d look up to Matthew
“Matthew right..?” Annie said. What a rhetorical question, of course it was the infamous Matthew standing infront of her , she just wanted to make sure this wasn’t some dream… or prank as she’d eye to his group in the distance seeking two other guys pick on Jason for his failed attempt and almost rough housing on the grass.. and the iconic fashionista,Janice, giving the two a death glare, a look of jealously and anger looked to be plastered on Janice’s face as Annie would gulp and got up, holding close to her books as she looked up at him and back down to the grass

“well Uhm.. thank you.. again, I’ll be sure to stay out of your way..”

"Why will you stay out of my way?....you can come talk to me anytime ....well you have great day ahead and take care. Got to go, loads of practice left". Matthew declared while chuckling at the same time. He quickly took off from the grounds , waving his group goodbye on the way. He started running in the hall, moving right to take a turn and came infront of the gymnasium. This gymnasium was off limits for general PT and stuff. This was only for the basketball team. He came in early , the miracles of the generation has a meeting with the coach and dean. He went in to find out , all 4 were already there.

**Before we move to the present, we need to go to the past. The miracles of generation was not formed in a day. The name were given to them by opponents acknowledging them . It all started when coach Billings took the role of teaching basketball in Arkansas University. The then team was literal shit. the first thing he did was setup a scouting network around United States. The half basketball budget used to go to the scouting department and the work was amicable as well, They targeted specifically high school students who are extraordinary and have room for development. It took  around 5 months to prepare the best of the best . Coach billings personally went to the homes of these 5 players and convinced their parents to make them join Arkansas University. They all agreed and the list came with announcement of the recruitment of these 5 astounding players. **

> `**Matthew Atkinson : The small forward or Ace of the team . He was fast and agile and lead the forward line. > Park-Min-Sung: The center of the team. He is the team captain, great carrier of the ball and extremely well-passer. He is smart cause he uses chess play into basketball matches , always ahead of his opponents. > Jordan Crenshaw: The big point guard. He is the tallest and fittest of them all. Clocking at 6.8 ft high, he can block any shots from close and long range. The heart of defense. > Andrew Rivers: The shooting guard . He is extremely athletic and the most talkative one in the team. His long-range shots are breath- taking. Has a record of putting a basket from halfline of the court. > Anthony Santos: The power forward of the team , was preferred as the ace first but matthew got the position. he is tall clocking at 6.7 ft high . Extremely athletic and a jump master. He can jump upto a height of 4.8 ft . The best dunker in United States as of now.** > `

This team was made from scratch and was well-knitted . The coach had only one problem , They never became teammates. They played their positions best , and never disrespected each other but the lack of friendship was still there. "You are again late Matthew , it's the third time in month." Park min interrogated. "Come on now Cap, he only went for lunch ." exclaimed Andrew who was playing with a ball . Jordan was sitting beside the window, listening to music , while Anthony was there on the chair , ignoring the chit-chat. "Ahahah, sorry Park , was busy with the group assignment." Matthew replied putting his hand behind his neck. The coach and the dean entered and the meeting started regarding the next matches and their preparations. (edited)

The meeting ended and the training began. After 4 hours of more training. All of the team was dispersed . They all took and shower and went to their classes . The last class was only class that Matthew can attend, though the Dean knows they are basketball players, so they are exempt from attendance irregularities. The last class attended and they all started heading home. Matthew rushed out of the class, avoiding his group cause he was really tired and he was not in the mood of chit-chatting or going for a party. He went straight to the locker room to keep his books. It was still early no one was particularly there. The opposite locker was open. Matthew became curious and went to the opposite side. His intention was to lock the locker or else someone might have peeped in. He saw a photo inside the locker , that girl right? From the recess? Annie. yeah her. He was about to close the locker , when he saw a letter inside a pink envelope. He was curious. He did the un-thinkable. That day , Matthew went home quite early. His opposite locker open as it was, but the pink letter was missing from it. @𝓢𝓪𝓫𝓫𝔂

Annie furrowed her brows as he asked her that. She honestly was speechless, he.. he didn’t care if she was in his way? That’s a first as she nodded

“right.. uh you too..” *she’d quietly say watching him book it. She’d twirl her head, confused about the entire interaction they had. She’d watch was hed wave bye to his little friends, as they waved back to him, glare back to Annie and then resumed talking like normal.

Annie sighed, as she walked to her next class Psyc 321, psychopharmacology as she’d doze off looking to her self harm scars for a bit before she’d quietly sighed and opened her journal as she began to write..*

Letter 2: 
The strangest thing happened today Wednesday Afternoon, that popular kid Jason? He tried to hit on me.. I wanted to blow my brains out. His pick up lines where absolutely disgusting I don’t understand how trash like him still breaths, but that’s not the important thing, the popular kid himself, Matthew Atkinson he helped me today. He went up to Jason and told him to back off. 
Someone helped me? Someone went out their way to do something for me. 
I apologized to him I told him I wouldn’t be in his way anymore, afterall he’s the most popular kid in school and apart of the miracles, I don’t want to jeopardize his entire career. But you know what he said to me? He said why will you stay out of my way? You can talk to me anytime. 
Anytime.. 
Surely he must’ve been high because nobody ever once said that or maybe he felt bad. But whatever the case was his tone seemed genuine. 
I wish all people could be like that, even if they were faking it

as she’d closed her journal , class ending 1 hour later as she’d pack up her stuff and left, she’d bump into Park Min by mistake as she said

ling her short stuff wasn’t any insult to her as she knew he was just joking, he’s always had been calling her short since she can recall so she honestly doesn’t care anymore. As the day ended, Annie was tired, she’d walked to her locker and opened it, seeing that her letter was gone. Odd.. she could have sworn she put it in her locker, she’d lift up some books, and moves stuff around, but shrugged it off, it probably was in her backpack , she didn’t stress about it, she honestly didn’t even think someone could take it, As she put letter 2 in another pink envelope tucking it Further in her locker, keeping it more hidden and closing it as she’d head out for the night . Upon arriving home Annie tossed her bag in her bed and got in the shower, washing away all her anxious thoughts, doing her daily night routine as she’d then say her prayers and headed to bed. the following morning The following morning Annie wokeup at the crack of dawn, she had a schedule for herself, wake up at 5, go on a 30-45 min run, go home, eat breakfast, shower and get ready for school , be at school by 8 and in the library studying. And that’s exactly what she did. As 8:15am came around Annie would be on the 2nd floor her AirPods in playing classical music as she’d be studying for a midterm she had at 10am @Büññy

Matthew was feeling guilty , he has never done this activities before. He has always been a model student. All the way to coming home, he was thinking was driving back and keep the letter there in the locker. But it was too late, she would have found out by now that the letter is missing. He kept thinking why did he do that?. Why he is so curious about her?. The reason was maybe at the recess. The way she looked at the ground while talking, her eyes blank desperate for help. He felt attracted, it was not pity, it was determination to make her feel better. Matthew wanted to help her as a friend, she was crying for help inside. He knew what it felt like, he got a glimpse of his brother in her, suffering but not disclosing a piece of it to anyone. He doesn't wanted her to go away as his brother did. He wanted to make her understand about life, He parked his car infront of his house . His dog cherry came flashing in when he opened the door. He did some cuddles with the white- brown Corgi, carried her to the sofa , while watched some tv. He wanted to clear his head. Matthew quickly took a shower and prepared his food , boiled salmon and asparagus with a little gravy. A bottle of protein shake and he was all set for a hearty meal. His dietitian has instructed strict food rules to him and he eats six times a day in small portions. He went for a run after the meal, came back , did some stretches. Now , it was time for some homework and to watch some footages of the basketball team they were playing against next. Everything was finished for the day. He layed on the bed and took out the letter from the bag. Was he jealous that someone proposed to her?.

"Fuck it".- he exclaimed while opening the letter.

He was shocked after reading the letter. He never knew people had such perspective regarding him. He felt his blood boil as he read how she was suffering here, and his stomach churned while he read her giving herself self-harm . That was not fair , he need to stop her. He wanted to help her as he felt emotionally drawn to her. But how? how can he help her? Annie will think he is an weirdo who stole her letter who she addressed to herself . How rude of him. He started thinking , it was time to go for a walk with his dog. It was a good oppurtunity to think about it. The sky was already dark , the weather a little cold. Matthew wore his hoody and took his dog leash on one hand while he locked the door of his house with other hand . He started walking thinking about solutions of how interact with her. Things can't be rushed that's for sure. He planned of talking to her at first , normally , as a friend .He has take things slow. Maybe if they are close friends , he can convince her for therapy. But , first he have to return the letter. Later at night after having his second meal of the night, he decided he would sneak into Annie's locker again, and place the letter as it was. The next morning he went for his usual run and stretches, and after shower he went straight to university. His plan was to go early and slid the letter from the gaps of the locker door . The person who will open the locker will see it fall and will assume that the letter was struck somewhere. He quickly parked his car and ran towards the main hall and took a left turn at the end of it. The locker room was silent as a horror movie set. He tip-toed into the area , while he constantly heard squeeaks of a locker. was someone there? It's fuckin 8 in the morning. He went to the row were his and Annie's lockers are. He was smart enough to peak first and what you can say , Miss Annie was there infront of her locker , fiddling with her books.

"fuckin hell!"- He murmured while he waited for her to leave. For his surprise Annie took out a water bottle from the locker and started moving towards the water coolers section.It was the best oppurtunity he can get , the locker was open ajar. He quickly sneaked in , he was fast , he took out the letter and placed it deep inside the books , so that she thinks it was pushed behind due to his books. To his suprise he found another letter. He head started to spin, he was in a rush , but he wanted to read the second one so bad. That morning two things happened- the first letter came into the locker mysteriously and the second etter was nowhere to be found. @𝓢𝓪𝓫𝓫𝔂

Annie would wait for her water to fill, before she headed to the library, softly humming to herself not even noticing someone else was in the same vicinity as her. As the electric water fountain would stop, she’d twist the cap on her water bottle. She’d pivot heading back to her locker. As she was about to close her locker she’d notice the first letter returned. “Odd..” she’d say to herself, cocking her head confused as she looked around. She could have sworn it was never there.. but she’d shrug it off for now.. hiding it under some other books in her locker assuming that second letter was still there. Shed close her locker and headed to the library, studying focusing on her exams rather than how her first letter mysteriously appeared. As the hours went by more and more students would slowly trickle into the library chatting, studying and hanging out in groups. Annie’s eyes peered up as someone sat across from her, one of her classmates as she’d softly smile nodding towards them “Hey.. you ready for this exam?” Annie spoke as her classmates chuckled and shook her head no “No… not at all I swear Mr Smith hates us..” Renee said with a soft sigh, as she’d put her headphones in and went to study *Annie softly chuckled as she’d continue to study for another 2 hours.. as 10:21 came around she got up, finally leaving the library and heading to the dining hall for a quick meal and then class. As she’d walk into class she sat in the middle.. far from the popular kids but also far from the trouble makers in class; the two seats next to her always empty as she didn’t mind, her eyes scanned the classroom with people chattering to one another enjoying life.. she wonder how that was, to have friends in class. She’d lift her sleeve up slightly looking at her self harm scars tempted.. she could just leave and go to the bathroom right now, but hearing her professor speak about how class was starting, she’d jolt and immediately rolled down her right sleeve, l

istening to the long lecture* another 1hr 30mins pass as that class would finally end. It would be nearing lunch time. Annie stayed back as all the students left to chat with her professor “Hey Mrs Turner… I was wondering if I could actually turn my assignment in on Friday instead of Thursday? I’m having quite a hard time understanding and I was wondering if you could help me…” “Oh- why sure sweetie.. here pull up a chair..” Mrs Turner said as she’d began to re teach her, the lesson taking less than 10 mins as Mrs Turner then said “You know.. I’m worried about you Annie.. you don’t seem to be socializing a lot in class, is everything okay..?” “Y-yeah.. everything is fine.. I just hmp.. nobody really interests me I guess…” a lie, everybody in that class was a bully, a drug addict, a slut or all of the above and that wasn’t her crowd “but friendships arnt my priority.. classes and grades are” Annie sighed as she got up packing her stuff

“Friendships is what makes the college experience hunny..” Mrs Turner said as she’d huff defeated “Atleast join some clubs then.. for me?” she’d say as she’d open her drawer taking out some brochures “I run the girls softball intermural team.. if your interested.. there’s also a bird watching club, and so many others please.. just look into it for me” Mrs Turner said her voice breaking, as Annie looked down, sighing in defeat as she grab the brochures nodding “I’ll look into it now.. while I’m eating okay?” Annie said with a soft smile and bid her a-due as she’d left heading to grab some lunch. While she was on her watch to a local cafe she bumped into Matthew “Uff! Sorry—“ she’d say rubbing her head as she looked up “It’s you—“ she’d say furrowing her brows “Matthew…” she’d say to herself.. as she’d then say “My locker is next to yours — did you by a chance go into my locker!?” she say accusatory “something .. important went missing but suddenly turned up this morning.. and I know sometimes the basketball team comes in early to workout or practice or whatever…” @Büññy

Matthew kept the letter in his backpack and darted towards the gymnasium. After changing into his joggers and track shoes, he started free-hand exercising. Park was already lifting inside the gym and Jordan was in the treadmill. Andrew was punished again for talking too much , so he was doing lunges around the court while Anthony was weight training with his separate gym instructor. Matthew was the only one who had less metal lifting. He played the small forward position. The position demands agility and quickness. Extra muscles means extra tension , which leads to decrease in speed. Instead he did a 40-60 share of lifting and mobility exercises. He runs 8 miles extra than his other teammates. He also does swimming for more agility and many complicated free hand exercises. Matthew was very fast from a young age as he aimed of becoming a 400m track athlete but in his middle school days, basketball was more in the talks and he started watching Lakers and fell in love with Kobe Bryant. His aim shifted and now he is one of the best upcoming stars in his position in NBA. He has got many offers uptill now, but coach Billings has instructed that untill they win the inter-state championship this year. No one is allowed to held talks with NBA clubs. He has even contacted this information to their agents as well. Matthew finished his gym training and all 5 went in the basketball court to do basketball training and warm-ups with their other teammates. The basketball team had 14 players in total. The rest were reserves and fill-ins. The practice started , all the main-team players started playing individually for their specific roles. The reserves who also play specific roles, separated themselves and started practicing. After a short drinks break , teams were divided for practice matches and players were told to pass around much to create coordination. The generation of miracles were told to not get involved in the practice training. They played 2v3 separately.

After the practice match , it was lunch time. Matthew took a hot-shower , changed himself and went to his class, he was famished. He had brought his packed meal, since cafeteria food was strictly disallowed. His group was already infront of the class waiting for him. Matthew and his group entered into the cafeteria . They sat on their usual place while he chatted and ate his meal. The others were talking and discussing about a pool party they went this weekend which turned into somewhat of a fuck place. The scenes were very specific, everyone fucking each other near the pool side. "You could have come bro , i fucked two chicks at a time. "- Jason pointed towards Matthew. "Yeah boo you should join us next weekend, this new place is a big mansion and the rooms are spacious as well."- Janice winked as she chimed in. "Nah , i have match on next monday. Coach is not a big fan of fuck fest before game night."- Matthew joked trying to clear his schedule as much as possible. Everyone laughed as Clara quickly changed the topic. Clara was the closest friend of Matthew. She was a tomboy type girl, always playing and doing ridiculous pranks. Matthew knew Clara did changed the topic before someone started whining for him to join the weekend party. While nodding and looking at Clara, who was sitting next to the food counter, he saw Annie taking her food . Matthew instantly got embarrassed and stood up. "Umm...i...aaa...need to use the washroom, be with you in a minute."- as he darted towards the cafeteria entrance and ran to the washroom. He was infront of the mirror, his hands and face sweaty. His heart thumping loudly. He quickly washed his face and reminded himself to calm down. He wiped his face and hands as he went out of the washroom and started walking towards the cafeteria. He went inside and bumped into Annie.

"hey ...ho..ow aree you?" - Matthew startled. * "oh ... we.. have lockers next to each other ...really? I didn't knew that. Wow really nice weather , isn't it?"- Matthew was blabbering at this time, not knowing what he was speaking.* "You know i have swimming classes today...wanna join? ...ah..no...nooo... i meant do you like swimming?"- Matthew replied again now understanding what the fuck he was speaking. "Fine yeah i took your letter, sorry i read the first letter and took the second one today. I am sorry for this , I didn't know what went inside my head."- Matthew sighed as he lowered his head and took out the second letter and returned it to Annie. @𝓢𝓪𝓫𝓫𝔂

Annie already grew suspicious of him the moment he spoke. The way he was acting all naive and nervous as shed bump into him raised a thousand of red flags for her "mhmm.. you already knew that..." shed chime "we've seen each other.." shed fold her arms raising a brow as he continued to blab on about random things, her eyes widen as he mentioned going to swimming class with him "excuse me--" *shed say huffing as he'd change his phrasing why was he acting so nervous around her suddenly. He was sweating bullets almost as he finally spat out the truth Annies eyes widen as shed watch him take the second letter out from his backpack "w-what the fuck!" shed shout as some eyes looked to them wondering about all the commotion that was going on.. as she snatched the second letter out from his hand. She felt tears come to her eyes as she felt violated. Great! she couldnt believe he read something that was so personal to her... now he know her dirty secrets.. and more importantly her unhealthy coping mechanism! and ontop of that he took another letter! as shed rub her temples at the people would look away going back to chatting, all expect Jason, Matthew and Clara "oooOo- whats happenin there~" Jason hummed playfully watching their interaction with as Clara tried to change the subjects and get the young mans to talk with her but ultimaley failed. Annie would rub her temple softly mumbling to herself "why-- why would you ..I dont--- I.." she couldnt even get a word out, she didnt know what to say. She glanced up at him with tears streaming down her face as she push Matthew away and ran out covering her face, as people started to look once more wondering what happened. Annie eventually calmed down as shed open her eyes letting the last pool of tears flood down as she got up, stepping out the stall as shed toss away the ️ (Self harm)️ Razor wrapping it in a bunch of towels before she tossed it in the trash. Shed look at herself in the mirror, numb. She would take a deep breath in, and exhaled out stepping out the bathroom as shed rolled her sleeve down. Matthew ended up telling her the truth . He was standing infront of the cafeteria when Annie startled him and shouted infront of many people. She ran away crying while Matthew was there standing , his head down , his eyes filled with guilt. He went inside took his bag and ran towards the gym. The gym was empty , he changed into his gym clothes while thinking about the whole incident. He was not sad that someone shouted on him infront of everyone. Matthew was disappointed that he was such a idiot. He went through someone's personal locker and took their most personal thing. It was not him at all. What went into his head. He wanted to apologize but he has no means to contact her at all. Matthew was deep in his thoughts , doing lunges . He didn't even notice park was in there sitting behind him. He completed his lunges when he looked at the mirror and a gasp came out of his mouth as he saw Park sitting behind him. "Jesus! Park atleast announce yourself when you are in the gym."- He screamed. Park smiled. "Heard that Annie shouted at you . What happened?". His voice calm and genuine. "Yeah i did some horrible thing to her."- His face pale when he replied , filled with guilt. "I know that but what happened?"- Park enquired again. Matthew and Park sat on the chairs beside the mirrors. He started telling Park the whole story as he sighed and looked down in between. After listening to the story Park replied-"I see but why have you done that in the first place? I have never seen you go through other's stuff." "I have never done that thing but her eyes were filled with agony, i read the first letter and i got to know about what was in her mind . I wanted to help her , she reminded me of my brother who i didn't save as i was fuckin into basketball that time. I want to help her Park."- Matthew blurted , his voice filled with desperation. Park's heart gave him a sudden ache, He was confused but despite the unwillingness he replied-"I can help."

"You? how?"- Matthew replied , his voice eager. "She lives beside my house, have known her since childhood." *- Park replied , somewhat questioning himself that all those years why have he never saw that in her eyes the way Matthew saw it. *"I can give you a ride, You have to apologize , She is not a bad girl , she is understanding and lovely . Annie will forgive you but you have to be sincere."- he added. "Thank you Park , i will never forgive this kindness, I owe you one."- he thanked Park as they shaked their hands. "I will be in the parking lot. Bring your car there, u will follow my car to my locality."- Park declared as he started going towards the exit. His voice a little down as if a deep secret of his was disclosed today. The time was 3 in the afternoon as Matthew was following a black Mercedes passing on the four lane connecting the college and city. Park was driving in front of him as they signaled each other while at turns. At 3 past 40 , they were infront of Park's house. The locality quite enclosed and private. The street was very quiet and almost no one was on the road. Park parked his car infront of his house and came out and sat in Matthew's car. He then instructed him to drive through the street to a big green house and huge lawn infront of it. "This is it . I will ring the bell , you stay behind me , she has a habit of watching through the door cam first. The moment she sees you , the door will never open. " - Park declared as he opened the car door and went inside. Matthew followed him but stayed behind keeping himself distanced from the door cam. Park struck the door bell and after that a familiar voice can be heard. "Hey ! you should have texted me. come in."- Annie greeted Park. "No , not today , i have someone who wants to talk to you here infront of your porch."- Park replied as Matthew came out of the hiding. "Hi. I just wanted to talk to you , i know i am in no position to communicate but can you give me 5 minutes".

Matthew stood at the entrance as he got permission for exactly 5 minutes. Park went back and sat at his car's hood. "I...umm..i have never fiddled with someone's stuff before . That day when you sat by the tree i saw despair and pain in your eyes. I just wanted to help....but of course not stealing your personal stuff. I just wanted to know what was happening in your life."- Matthew paused as Annie criss-crossed her arms near her chest leaning towards the door. Her eyes still filled with rage. Matthew saw something, Annie when crossed her hands , his full sleeve lifted up for a few seconds. He definitely saw a bandage with blood stains. He quickly held her left hand as she resisted . He opened her sleeve an he was correct. The was not cleaned nor it was sterilized. Matthew went into panic mode as he saw her hand. "Oh my god! Jesus christ!....PARK...PARK ....BRING THE FIRST-AID KIT FROM THE CAR NOW! INFRONT OF THE DASHBOARD. What .....fuckkkk...have you done Annie , why would you do that.". Park came and went straight back to the car to bring first-aid box. Matthew was not listening to her she hurled screams and curses at him. His eyes were in panic mode as his heart was beating at a high pace. His eyes filled with tears as guilt and despair struck him at the same time. "Why would....u...u do this....why? why will you hurt yourself?...why?....oh god...look at her hand ...oh god...oh god..." - he cried out loud as he opened the bandages. Park came running back as they both were shocked watching Matthew's face. They have never seen him like this like ever. His hands were shaking , his stomach churning , his eyes blurry as he saw the blood gushing out of the wounds. Park saw his hands trembling as he calmly declared- "Matthew let go of her hands , it's alright calm down man. I will tend to her wounds . Your hands are trembling." Matthew understood as he nodded and gave her hand to Park and he sat on the porch his head between his legs and his arms covering it. He closed his eyes as he cursed himself for letting a good girl hurt herself. He could hear Park screaming at her while he tended her wounds. Annie was quiet now as she was staring at him. He could sense his eyes over him. He wanted to just mix himself with soil. He was at his lowest now. Time passed by . Annie's wounds were tended and three of them were inside the living room. Annie was on the sofa and Park was beside her while Matthew was looking at the lawn standing beside the glass door. He was calm, his face numb. He turned himself around and looked deep at Annie's eyes. "I want to take you somewhere special tomorrow evening, can you come with me please ? I am not a bad guy , you can trust me , i will never cause you any harm . Park can vouch for it."- He looked at Park who instead looked at Annie and nodded. Annie would sit on her couch, her book was next to her as she was journaling. She needed to blow off steam.. she couldn’t believe that he’d do something like that.. the popular kid, why? So many questions faced her head as she jot it down, lost in her trail of thoughts, it wasn’t until she heard her doorbell ring.. curious she’d get that alert on her phone. someone is at your front door as she’d open the app to look at the camera seeing Park “Odd..” she’d mumble as she’d get up, opening the door for park as she lean on the doorway greeting him before offering to let him in. Usually she never minded of Park stopped by he normally did to just say hi to her parents or to study with Annie. As he’d decline and said he brought someone for her she’d raise a skeptical brow “Who—“ as her voice trails off glaring daggers at the popular kid. She was so tempted to just slam the door on his face.. she couldn’t believe he’d bring him to her. As she’d reluctantly gave him 5 mins to speak, glaring daggers to Park as he walked back to his car she’d listen to his story crossing her arms as she scoffed wanting to chime in but bit her lip to keep herself quiet. “why don’t we go inside huh?” Park suggested as he’d walk to Matthew helping him up, as the three walked in, Annie closing the door behind. They would walk to the living room where Annie would sit on the right side of the sofa with a blanket over her, holding a pillow on her lap as she’d look to Matthew.. she felt bad for him she didn’t mean to scar him or traumatized him this badly she wanted to apologize.. and hug him .. something but she didn’t even know where to begin

As he’d look to her Annie would faintly smile as it dropped.. she’d listen to him speak.. as she then looked to Park. Park to her was like an older brother she never had, since Annie was an only child. As Park nodded she’d look back to Matthew, her breath shakey as she’d exhale “F-fine…” she spoke softly. She had to make it up to him as well.. so this would be a good opportunity. Annie would look up to Matthew for a brief moment before looking away, her body trembling slightly as she’d sigh and spoke looking down to her wrist “I’m sorry— I didn’t mean to traumatize you.. or scare you. I didn’t want you to see it either, honestly you freaked me out a bit by your initial reaction but I don’t blame you..” she’d huff “I also forgive you about you taking my letter… I understand you were curious and well.. I don’t know hopefully it stops now… I learned to not leave my letters in my locker” shed weakly chuckle forcing herself to look up to Matthew “and I know your not a bad guy… Park does speak highly of you whenever he swings by to study..” she’d add as she’d look back down, hiding her wrist under the blanket “But I hope you understand I’m just agreeing to go out without because I owe you for making you freak out.. right?” @Büññy

Annie mumbles something which was so low that it didn't even reached Matthew. He gave a puzzled look to Park and Annie. Park would motion her to speak up to which she denied, so Park replied the question - “she asked where would you guys go..”. "Oh , there is a cemetery on the cliff off the main street. There.. i will bring her back before dark."- Matthew answered. Park stood up as he went upstairs to check anything sharp on the rooms. Annie meanwhile apologized for her actions. "You don't have to apologize , i am sorry for driving you to this, you know , you had to those stuff , which ...umm you shouldn't do."- Matthew replied. "Thank you for forgiving me , I am really sorry for what i did and i promise to never do that again , even if you keep your letters in the lockers."- Matthew answered to her reply. "I totally understand that you are doing this just to make things even and i am grateful for that."- He added. Park came back as he declared there is nothing sharp present upstairs as they started moving towards the main entrance. Matthew stood at the porch as Park hugged Annie as he wished her night. He waved at Annie as he almost tripped on to Park's foot , which instead made Annie giggle for the first time. Matthew dropped off Park at his house as he went back home. He parked his car as he went inside the house. Matthew took a shower quickly and gave his dog his food. He prepared his food as he ate and sat on the couch. Today was hectic and emotionally tragic for him. He was embarrassed the way he reacted to Annie's hand. Matthew was so frustrated on his actions as he mumbled some fouls to himself. What was he thinking pulling something like this? It backfired completely as it led to Annie harming herself. He wanted to skip his exercise routine just for today. Sleep was what he wanted , despite the time. He promised himself that he will run 3 miles extra tomorrow for skipping tonight's workout and run.

The following morning Matthew went for a morning run as he woke up early. Finished his previous day exercises as he took a shower and prepared his lunch and breakfast. Protein shake and supplements were also ready as he started sipping the shake, he blasted some music. Matthew quickly packed his bag as he ran down the stairs to the main entrance. He took his car out of the garage and drove straight to university. He was early , as he went straight to the gym , worked out and also completed the three mile task. The rest of the day went as planned . He never came for lunch instead he finished his food inside the gym. He wanted to avoid contacts from his group for today as much as possible. His phone was vibrating constantly with texts and calls. Wait a minute , shit. I have not taken Annie's contact details. Such a idiot The lunch break was about to end as Matthew tip toed towards the locker room to check whether Annie was there or not. No sign. He checked the grounds. No sign. Even sneaked into the cafeteria. No sign. Atlast there she was in the library reading a history book , her mind totally into the book. Her eyes engrossed onto the story as she was biting her lips, maybe , anticipating the plot twists. Matthew sneaked behind Annie as he whispered near her ears-"Hi" Annie's concentration snapped as her eyes became big and she was about to give a huge scream when Matthew quickly pressed her mouth with his hand. "Sorry I startled you , calm down, it's a library , you can't scream."-Matthew declared as he sat on the opposite side of the table. Annie composed herself as she asked her purpose of meeting here. "I need your contact details , you ...umm...know ...for the evening plan."- Matthew replied , sincere and polite and a bit nervous. Annie chuckled as she provided her with the details . Matthew smiled and stood as he was going out of the library he replied-"Meet you in the evening then."

Matthew arrived at the gate of Annie's house. Both of them has been texting each other for the timing and stuff and it was decided to meet at 5 in the evening . Matthew wore a fresh black hoodie with his favourite off white jeans and his jordan 1s. His face and hair on point and perfume steaming off as predicted. He waited for any as he texted her- "Hey , I am infront of the house. Please take your time. I have loads of time." Matthew was excited as he planned of the evening that would later can make Annie stop hurting herself and can make her trust others. Annie needed a helping hand and Matthew wanted it to be him. He was anxious and happy at the same time as he waited for the girl who had grabbed his attention from the first day , he set his eyes on her. @𝓢𝓪𝓫𝓫𝔂

“The cemetery …hmp..” she’d say to herself as she’d watch Park head upstairs she’d sigh feeling embarrassed as she’d perk up looking towards Matthew “er—-“ she didn’t know what to say, many people have told her that she shouldn’t be harming herself but she honestly didn’t know how, as she’d merely nodded, rubbing the back of her neck “Y-yeah it’s fine…” she’d say briefly looking away from him “and your welcome..” as she’d hear footsteps coming she’d glanced up seeing Park head down stairs declaring nothing, Annie nodded as she’d watch Matthew get up as Park suggested to head out she’d lead them to the front door and hugged Park rather tightly as she’d whisper “thank you..” *As Park nodded as he’d turn to leave as she’d wave bye to them, giggling as Matthew tripped on Parks foot as they drove off, Annie closed the door and headed to bed, taking a shower as she think about Matthew.. he seemed so humble and sweet and overall a great person.. definitely different from the things she heard, as she’d finish showering and changed she take out her journal and began to write her third letter It’s been a long day, Matthew found my letters, he read them.. no surprise he was shocked, but what surprised me was he and Park came to my house. Matthew panicked seeing the blood.. as Park patched me up, he gave rather a harsh yelling as Matthew was sitting on the porch.. trying to process everything. In that moment he was vulnerable, and he looked… cute? I invited them over and Matt offered to take me out to a cemetery? An odd place to go for sure but maybe he has something planned.. and I’m honestly looking forward too it.. *as she’d closed her journal and headed to bed. As the following morning came, Annie’s alarm went off around 8am, as she’d get up, making herself some breakfast and matcha drink. She’d be scrolling on her phone trying to waking up. As 30 min passed she’d get dressed and do her brows and mascara and headed to class

she’d head straight to the library grabbing her history book and began to read it, annotating in it as she didn’t notice Matthew come up behind her. She’d jump about to scream hearing him whisper in her ear as Matthew would chuckle , and cover her mouth, her eyes widen and her heart racing as he’d say she couldnt scream in the library.. as she nodded trying to compose herself as he’d lower his hand off her mouth and sat across from her. She’d place her hand on her beating heart looking to Matthew wondering why he was here “I-it’s find.. what’s up…” she say as she’d lower her book, as he’d ask for her number Annie softly smiled, and chuckled as she’d grab a piece of paper and write her number handing it to him “yeah.. see you then” she’d say watching him go as she’d smile as evening came around Annie would be getting ready, wearing leggings and a sweater since it was chilly out, her hair in double braids reaching to her mid back, and old sneakers. she’d tuck her hands into her pockets as she saw Matthew arrive she’d open her door and walked out closing and locking it as she’d walk over to him “hey..” she’d quietly say to him as she’d then say “you smell good..” she chuckled as Matthew would guide the way “So why the cemetery of all places..” she say looking up at him and then ahead at the beautiful sunset ahead, she’d gasped in awe at the sight of it “wow.. it’s a beautiful night…” as she glanced up to him, her greenish blueish eyes glistening in the golden era “uhm.. thanks for taking me out, honestly it’s a nice change of pace..” she say again speaking quietly , her voice quivering as she was nervous @Büññy

Matthew parked his car as he went on to Annie's porch to receive her . Annie came out of her house as she locked the door in behind. She greets Matthew on the porch while they start moving towards the car. "Thanks for the compliment.. you look beautiful". Annie blushes as he opens the door for her , Annie hops in . Matthew gets into his driving seat as he starts driving towards the mountain top cemetery. About 30 mins in , they reached the hill top. Matthew parked his car as he quickly jumped off his seat and opened the door for Annie. The place was beautiful at this time of the evening , fresh air running around. The trees dancing on the tunes of gushing winds , the birds singing their songs as they try to get a good night's sleep. The place was peaceful. Annie started walking towards a tree beside the cliff ends. Matthew takes out a flask and drinking cups from the car as he starts walking towards the tree. Annie sat at the bark of the tree , enjoying the view. The whole city can be seen from here , tiny and beautiful. The sky was golden , as the sun was about to set at due course. Matthew offered a cup of coffee to Annie as he sat beside her, Annie took her glass as he poured his own as well. They both sat and took gentle sips from their cups as they admired the beauty of nature, their hair flying around , to the lovely tunes of the majestic winds. "So why the cemetery of all places..."- Annie asked as she looked into his eyes. Matthew met her gaze as he smiled. "My brother and i used to come here during summer , we used to drink coffee and gazed at the beauty while we talked about life. It happened uptill i was in Junior school. After i started playing basketball there was less and less time at homes. My brother , you know , always used to ask me , can i free this weekend to tag along here. The answer came always no from my side." He sighed and took a break as he continued.

" I was so engulfed by my game , that i never saw my brother's pain . Maybe he wanted to tell me about his sufferings. I couldn't be there for him , when he needed me by his side. He was suffering from within , he never told us directly, not to mom, not to dad, not to me. I would...would..have ...you know left everything and could have and stayed by his side. He never declared anything, not a single thing. He suffered , just made him suffer onto a point were he couldn't see himself alive. Yes....you are thinking the right thing Annie, you see the grave at the middle of the first row behind the cliff railings?...yes he is there resting peacefully after he took his own life." Matthew paused as he suppressed his crying. He continued - "So see , I just want to let you know that if there is anything that is bothering you , please tell it to me , i will be more than happy to help you. Park is also there , we both help you in any way possible. The self-sufferings you are inflicting on yourself is not right, please i don't want to loose you as i lost my brother. It's painful. I will listen to you, you write me letters, you can talk to me. We can go to therapy together. I know a lot of good people who will help you become strong mentally. Annie will you let me help you?" Annie replied her thoughts as she gazed at the evening and admired the sunset as well thanked Matthew for taking her out. "I am glad , you liked the place , we can come here again if you would like to and you don't have to thank me , it's the least i can do . " The sun was set and the night was about to ponder. Matthew opened the door for Annie to hop in as they started driving towards her house. Annie waved goodbye and wished him night as she started walking towards the porch. Matthew waited for a while as he screamed-"Tomorrow is my match , i want you to come and see it ...will ...umm ..u come?" Matthew waited for her reply as he looked Annie turning around. @𝓢𝓪𝓫𝓫𝔂

Annie smiled, her face flushed red as he’d compliment her, as she quietly say thank you as he opened the door for her, she’d get in and buckle up, putting her hands in her hoodies pocket fiddling with her fingers as they drove. Her heart racing as she felt anxious, looking out the window as they drove. He’d put in some pop music, as she was quietly singing along to creepin by metro booming ft. The Weeknd as she’d watch as the scenery turned from city life.. to empty fields, nothing but corn.. and then in the distance the mountain, as she raise a brow. Well this was definitely one day to get murdered she thought as 30 mins passed they finally reached the hill top. As he park she glanced over never seeing someone move so fast to open the door for her as she chuckled quietly, again thanking him as she got out, as he’d close and lock his car, Annie would look around in awe at the scenery, it was truly beautiful, who would have thought. She’d take a deep breath in enjoying the fresh air as she’d began walking towards the trees, and sat on the bark of it, looking at the city with admiration in her eyes she’d rest her head on her hand as she glanced back to Matthew who offered her a cup of coffee as she nodded, taking her glass as he’d pour his coffee, sipping every now and then until she finally got the courage to ask “So Why the cemetery of all places..” she say looking at him, her green eyes glistening in the sun as he’d response back, Annie nodded, listening as her face turn pale hearing about his brother and how he committed suicide. Annie couldn’t help but place her hand on his shoulder and gently rub it .. in sympathy as she notice him almost crying.. she couldn’t help but pull him into a hug.. gently rubbing his back as he’d rest his head on her shoulder briefly.. she’d embraced it and the. I’ll go” she say being in a crowd was definitely not her strong suit.. as she wish him a good night and headed back into her house as morning came Annie got up getting ready for his game.. she’d put her hair into two messy space buns and did her makeup nicely.. wearing shorts and of course a long sleeve top to cover up her scars.. as she walked to the university. She saw the line of people waiting to get in as she already felt her body shaking, as she too waited in line. She was really tempted to leave but she felt bad if she did as she finally got into the stadium everything seemed blurry like she was seeing two, a panic attack settling in as she gulped and just fought it through as she sit down breathing.. her eyes gazing on the court as she spot Matthew.. she’d wave slightly despite looking all sweaty as he’d wave back.. and then she heard the voices behind her as she looked back of course she had to sit behind his group of friends

He gave his dog some food and water as he went for a run. While he was completing a mile, Park called him. "Hello Cap.." "How did it go?.." "It went pretty well...I even invited her for tomorrow's game.." "Did she say she will come?" "Yeah she did...why askin?" "She might be anxious sitting in a crowded stadium.." "Oh shit! shit!....big idiot...fuck...i completely forgot.." "Calm down idiot....it's alright...i will let my sister be by her side....so she will feel accompanied.." "Janet is coming?"- Matthews enquired. "Yeah...she told me today..." "cool then this problem is solved then..." "Yeah it's done....are u warming up well? i don't need you distracted in the game..." "Yes captain , fit and warmed up , and ready to go.." "Cool...night.." Matthew kept his phone in his arm pouch as he started running for another mile. He came back home and showered and changed into his casuals. He started making dinner. It was cooked salmon with mashed potatoes. Protein shake and loads of meds. Calories intake needed to be monitored constantly for Matthew. He was not a 6 foot 6 giant , he was 6foot 2 . He was not that tall. His average height gave him advantage to be flexible and be a speed demon. To maintain his flexibility and speed , calories intake was a big point in his diet. His gym exercises also comprised less weights , so that he can't put up much weight. More weight meant more issues in flexibility and speed. Matthew was cautious for all of these points so always maintained the diet that his dietician has given him. He completed his dinner , as he did some before sleep stretches. He went to bed after that.

Match day mornings are very busy for Matthew and his teammates. He woke up at 6 in the morning and did some stretches, not pushing himself. He made his protein shake and had his meds. Breakfast was given in the dressing room on matchdays. The food are made specifically for each players . Matthew quickly packed his bag and placed some food and water for his dog . He took his car out and drove straight to the university gymnasium. The stadium was adjacent to the university. The media will gather around the entrance of the stadium to interview the generation of miracles. Matthew didn't like media attention that much but he had no choice. After every game he would get stalked by the paparazzi more than usual. He had to hid himself in his house 2-3 days after every game to stop media attention. Matthew arrived at the gymnasium to find his teammates already warming-up. He changed quickly into his gym clothes and started warming-up. Stretches and weights were the follow ups. They quickly changed into their Jerseys as they moving to the stadium's dressing room. They got on the bus that was meant for the basketball team and it's members and staff. The bus took 10 minutes to reach the entrance of the stadium. The entrance was packed with media outlets, police made barricades for the team to pass through. The team came down of the bus as they started walking to the entrance, media trying to swarm them. The way they walked was always as the same as their positions. Coach billings is the first one to get in followed by- Park-Min-Sung(Captain) Matthew Atkinson(Ace) Anthony Santos(Power forward) Jordan Crenshaw(Point guard) Andrew Rivers(Shooting guard) Substitutes Staff. They went into the dressing room , dodging many questions from the media . Medical staff came to tape the player's calves and muscles. Matthew also got taped in his knee and shoulders, since most defenders try to body/tackle him on his knees or shoulders.They started going towards the court.

6:18 PM

It was time to warm-up in the court with the ball. Matthew went inside the court with his other teammates. He saw many have already started sitting in their seats , it was 15 minutes away from playtime. The stadium already looked packed-up though some empty seats can be seen in between that will fill-up when the match starts. He was doing his shot practice when he saw Annie waving him from the stands. Matthew got excited as he waved her back, but something caught his eyes. Jake and his friend group were sitting right above Annie's row. It must be Jake who did this. "for fuck's sake.."- He whispered as he ran towards Park and exclaimed.

"Where is Janet?..." "She will there in the mid of the first half...why?" "Umm...my friend group are sitting above Annie's row, they will not let her enjoy the match." "Shit...okay...calm down...concentrate on the game...i am calling Janet to come asap..she will make Annie sit with her on the front rows.." Matthew nodded as he went back towards the hoop to practice his shots. The bell rang as both teams started walking inside the dressing room . The generation of miracles quickly changed in their home Jerseys as Matthew honed his number 32 shirt. The coach gave a last minute speech and cheered the boys. The team stood in a line at the entrance of the court as they can hear the cheerleaders dancing and making the crowd excited. The referees came in front of the two teams lined up, as they started walking towards the court. Matthew could hear cheers on his and his team's names. But, he was too tensed up about Annie getting bullied. He wanted update, he looked over the area were Annie was seated as he saw they are still sitting behind her . He saw Annie smiling at her , to which he responded with a smile. He was too tensed to play, he could feel it but he have to play. The game started well with the opponents trying pressure them with offense. Park made a good judgement and stole the ball from the opponent, he quickly turned and gave the ball to Matthew , he recieved the ball and unlocked his speed, Matthew sped past two players in the middle to run towards the opponent's half. A player was tracking him back , trying to block Matthew's movement . Matthew was so much into thoughts , he sped through the defender and ran cross the opponent's half and crashed into the referee standing on the sidelines. It was awkward and weird for Matthew to do , everyone was shocked . The commentators tried to tell the crowd that maybe he did a overspeed and couldn't control his weight.

The rest of the first quarter , many unnatural events happened with Matthew. He passed Anthony a wrong ball , sometimes led the opponent have the ball when Park gave him a inch-perfect pass or he shoot the ball wrong . Coach Billings was furious as he started preparing a sub. The first quarter ended and Matthew was substituted. He sat at the bench , he was furious at Coach as he declared- "Why was i subbed off?" "Cause you are not in the game , be like that, you are not playing a single minute today."- Coach replied still looking at the players in the court. Matthew knew he couldn't get his mind right, He was tensed for Annie , What has happened to her? Did Jake did something to her?. Millions question clouded his game judgement. He sat there angry at himself and in the situation he is in. The second quarter ended. Matthew was not substituted back in the game. He was feeling so down that he wore a towel around his head to hide his face. All the players came back from the court for a 5 minutes drinks break before the third quarter starts. Coach gave his instructions as Matthew looked up and listened. The team started going into the court when he heard something. Anthony Santos looked at him with dead eye , like he was a lost cause. Anthony started getting into court before murmuring-"Pathetic son of a bitch!". Matthew heard the word , his eyes widen with anger. His face fuming as he removed his towel from his head. He stood up looking at Anthony go. Park suddenly screamed at Matthew -"Look to your left idiot!" Matthew looked to his left , surprised and relieved to see Annie was there with Janet at the front row , talking and laughing with Janet. A gush of relief went through his body. He looked at Park and nodded, his face serious than ever. Park smirked as he now know what is going to happen.

Coach saw Matthew standing as he observed his body posture. He knew the ace of the team was ready to rumble. He quickly went to the third referee to tell him about a substitute. Matthew drank some energy drink as he stretched his arm, He was furious with Anthony but he was channeling it to his inner demons. He will show him that what a ace can do. The ball went out of the court and the referee whistled to announce the substitution . Matthew came in as the whole stadium erupted. He looked more serious than ever. He went to his usual left side as he saw Anthony looking at him. "I will crush you !"- he declared glaring at Anthony , the opponent team confused. "We will see.."- Anthony replied with a smirk. Two beasts were managing the offense now , even the crowd can feel the tension now. The whistle blowed as the 3rd quarter resumed . Jordan blocked a shot which was taken by the opponent team, the ball bounced back into the court , quickly picked up by Andrew , as he smiled and gave a no look pass to someone to the left side. "Here you go Ace.."- he screamed. The opposite team thought the ball will go out of the court since he mis-passed but it was meant for Matthew. Matthew came out of nowhere and recieved the pass, he started running like a maniac , swift and beautiful . He passed through 3 players so swiftly that the crowd went silent , he started drifting from the left towards center of the court to bag a basket. The last defender tried his best to stop him , but he did a feint and dribbled passed him and scored a worldie. The whole stadium that went silent erupted like a volcano. Everyone started clapping and cheering , that is the reason they come to see the matches where the generation of miracles plays, it is their sheer talents that drive the fans towards them.

The last quarter was about to end with 3 minutes in the clock. The score is Arkansas giants-110 and Texas grizzlies - 65, with the generation of miracles getting the win with a difference of atleast 50 points. Both Matthew and Anthony were at 40 points each. Both of them trying to score more to crush each other. The match was just ending but noone was going home as the match was still interesting , Matthew clocked another 2 points with a basket as he now had 42. Anthony got the ball from Park and slam dunked the opponent with another 2 as well . both of them tied at 42 points. Only 30 seconds left on the clock and everyone thinking that it was ending now with a tie, when suddenly something happened. A hand came out of nowhere to steal the ball from the grizzlies defense. They were trying to pass the few seconds out by the holding the ball but Matthew had other plans , he quickly took the ball and counter-attacked . The whole crowd went crazy as he started sprinting towards the opponents , dribbling and passing through the grizzlie's defense. He did something next that noone expected. Matthew was not a jumper , that's why Anthony was in the team. But Matthew knew how to jump since he was extremely agile. He did the unthinkable. He jumped with the ball in his hand to slam- dunk a 6-6foot defender and succeeded in doing so. The whole crowd went silent for a few seconds as the final whistle rang. The fans erupted like crazy as the songs started to pour in. Matthew looked at Anthony as he declared-"Kneel down to me!". He glared at him as he left the court without shaking hands with the opponents as well as thanking the crowd for coming as well. He was furious , he wanted to meet Annie badly. @𝓢𝓪𝓫𝓫𝔂

As the game began, Annie sat there anxiously, her leg shaking as she heard all the snarky comments Jake and the fashionista said about her, she tired her hardest to ignore them but she couldn’t.. she’d look down as she’d head the crowd gasp in horror.. as she looked up watching Matthew play horribly, the people around her whispering and murmuring about how this never has happened before “I bet it’s all your fault Annie..” Jake leaned down whispering that into her ear as Annie would stare at Matt.. was it really? If what everybody was saying was true on how Matthew was this star player who never fumbled and suddenly is.. it could have been cause of her. As a voice spoke “Shove it Jake” Janet said as she’d offer a hand to Annie.. as Annie smiled “come on.. we’re moving..” Janet said as she’d grab Annie’s hand and helped her up heading down towards the first court seats “Thank you..” she softly say as Janet smiled nodding “any time love… you look pale.. and your shaking I can tell your not a crowd person huh?” As Janet would offer her water bottle Annie denied it “yeah.. I’m not but I came to cheer on Matthew” she say as she’d watch Matthew get back on the floor, and kill it dunking and making three pointers, she’d cheer him on, watching in awe as Janet would notice “Ain’t that kind.. you know, my brother says that Matt never shuts up about you.. says he likes you.. ans I think you like him too clearly if you’re willing to step out your comfort zone to watch him play” she’d tease as Annie would flush red, looking at Janet “H-hey.. maybe I just wanted to get out my comfort zone..?” she bluntly lie laughing Janet to laugh “You need to work on lying better hun..” Janet said teasing playfully as she’d rub Annie’s arm “he’s an amazing guy, honestly he’s pure in heart and looks out for everybody and everything.. honestly, don’t let his popularity and his dick friends through you off guard.. give it a chance” *she say as Annie Would look t

“F-fine.. I’ll give it a chance..” Annie said smiling back at Janet as they would continue to watch the game. As the game ended and they won Janet and Annie would jump up cheering clapping their hands as the crowd started to poor out. Janet and Annie would meet up with park “Where’s Matty?” Janet said “Well hello to you too sister” Park teased looking towards Annie as Annie would wave, and then rest her hand on her arm “He left a while back, he’s not in the locker room check the halls” he said as Annie nodded Annie would wave the two bye as she’d head out towards the halls, roaming around for a bit before she found Matthew sitting on the stairwell by himself. He looked furious. As Annie hesitated but slowly approached “Hey… you did an Amazing job.. I’m sorry if I was the cause of you fumbling in first quarter” she say squatting down infront of Matthew .. and then just sat on the floor “you okay.. you look furious..” she say as she’d rub his leg “what’s going on.. did you want to talk about if?” @Büññy

Matthew went to the back of the stadium to avoid crowd and media. He walked gingerly , his body hurting from the pain he endured from the third quarter. He really pushed himself today . It made him realize that the limit he thought he could go upto , is not the end. His potential was like dark staircases, waiting for him to light a candle and walk down. He was excited about his potential but his body was not ready to take his skills yet. He was sweaty , his body in pain, his mind bursting with rage , his face annoyed as Matthew sat on the stairs, trying to calm himself down. “what’s going on.. did you want to talk about it?”- A voice asked as Matthew woke up from his trance to see Annie there infront of him, on the floor , looking at him, her voice and face concerned, her hands rubbing her leg. Matthew sighed a breath of relief as he saw Annie there, her eyes calm , a smile on his face. He moved his head left and then right , trying to tell her everything was fine. But the look in her eyes forced him to share. Matthew sighed again and replied-"Some people think since I am very soft talking, they can say me whatever they want. Anthony was talking shit to me , see, I never told Coach to give me the ace position , if Anthony could have told me at that time , I would have rejected Coach's offer. I have never mis-behaved with him and i also expect respect. " He paused and took a deep breath as he continued -" I know my first quarter was not good and Annie it's not your fault at all , it was me , me alone. My focus can't be altered, whatever happens outside the court happens, i should have focused on the game. The way Anthony spoke to me was not i expect from a teammate. I hear those words from my opponents. He have some problem with him, i will ask him tomorrow what's his issue is. " Matthew finished as he realized he blurted out the whole thing to her, it was embarrassing as his face turned red. He quickly changed the topic as he asked-"Are u hungry?"

Matthew smiled as he gave his car keys to Annie -"Can you wait in my car, I will go and take a shower and change, I stink ...". He laughed as he started walking towards the dressing room. The dressing room was still crowded as Coach called his name loudly-"Matthew, what the hell were you thinking ignoring the fans and not shaking hands with the opponents?" "Sorry coach, I was not in the right mind."- He replied , his head down, showing respect to the coach. "You will receive your punishment tomorrow , now go to the physio for check up..." Matthew nodded as he removed his tapes . he went to the physio for the check up to find out he has a sore ankle and have to rest for atleast a week. Matthew went to take a hot shower removing all the stress and calming down his muscles. He finished up and got ready into his normal hoodie and track pants. He took his bag and packed his belongings as he started walking towards the parking spot. Annie was there in the car , fiddling on her phone. She gasped and nearly threw her phone when Matthew knocked on the window beside her. Both laughing as she unlocked the car for him. He hesitated for a second as he declared-"Can you drive? I want to stretch , i just found out i have an sore ankle. oh and let's go to your favourite restaurant....my treat!" @𝓢𝓪𝓫𝓫𝔂

Annie sat down infront of him on the floor, flustered she wasn’t so sure how to approach this situation so asking him if he wanted to talk about it was her best option, and frankly she wouldn’t be surprised if he said no. As he snapped out his trance and tried to down play it as he was fine, Annie looked at him again, a look of are you sure as she squint her eyes knowing he was lying, as he reluctantly gave in as he shared his story about Anthony and how he never wanted to be the Ace Annie would rub his leg softly looking at him as she chimed “I’m so sorry to hear that, that Anthony dude sounds like a real Jack ass.. and I’m sorry he got to you… but you also can’t force someone else to respect you..” she’d huff as he took a deep breath in, and continued Annie would lower her hand of his leg and rest it on her lap.. she felt a wave of relief lift on her as he said it wasn’t her fault he was performing so poorly on the court as she softly said to her self “phew.. okay..” and looked away as he continued to talk, Annie frowned and turned back as she added “It’s okay.. it’s not your fault if I was playing a game and my teammates said awful things to me I would have been mad as well.. you don’t have to explain your actions you know? Maybe you can even bring it up to the couch and explain yourself to him, tell him how Anthony was acting and how that wasn’t very sportsmanlike..” her voice trail.. shrugging, she realized half way through her sentence that she wasn’t really the one to give advice here or there, whatever ongoing issue he had with Anthony was something to be resolved between them.. she could only offer support and encouragement as she chuckled seeing his face turn red, it was adorable as he asked her “are you hungry?” “I could go for a bite now that you mention it..” she’d smiled as she got up? Taking his car keys “Hmmm maybe I’ll wait or maybe I’ll steal it, afterall you do drive an amazing car..” *shed hum, winking as she walked off to his

Car. As she was walking she’d spot Jason and Clara as she’d pivoted, she didn’t want to deal with them at all.. but unfortunately they saw her as they would approach her, noticing she had Matt’s keys. “What now your stealing his car? How fucking pathetic” Jason said scoffing as Clara chimed “you better back away from Matthew he’s mine understand?!” she’d hiss with venom as Annie would smirk looking down to the car keys “sure he is..” she’d say pushing her aside as she continued to walk, thankfully catching up to Parks sister who glared daggers to Clara as she’d walked her to Matthew’s car “So.. you and Matthew..?” Janet inquired as Annie’s face flushed red “f-fine.. so he’s cute and respectful but that doesn’t mean anything!” Annie blurted as Janet snickered “You sure darling..? Your holding his car keys and grabbing dinner with him, sounds like a date” she’d playfully nudge her winking as Annie and Janet would reach Matthew’s car “Listen.. if you need anything you have my number so text me okay? And remember ignore Clara and Jason, they are just dick heads I don’t understand why Matthew hangs around them sometimes..” Janet said shaking her head as she’d hug Annie and walked off to find her brother once more. Annie would take a deep breath in as she got in the car, starting it but keeping the engine off as she’d move to the passenger side, there she’d open her phone and scroll through twitter.. when suddenly she heard a knock on the window. Annie screamed jumping throwing her phone in the process as she looked at the window seeing Matthew laughing his ass off as Annie would flip him off , holding her chest as she chuckled wearily, unlocking the door “You almost gave me a heart attack!!” *she said as soon as he got in the car looking at him with a playful pout.. as Matthew would still chuckle.. and leaned over pulling her in a quick hug ““there better?” *hed jokingly say as he’d let go and then said “oh— can you drive? I want to stretch”

Annie nodded as she got out the passenger side , Matthew taking the spot over as Annie got into the drivers seat and buckled up, starting the engine and backed out the parking lot..tapping the wheel trying to think of a spot as he blurted out “let’s go to your favorite restaurant… my treat!” *As Annie looked to him and nodded, she’d take them to a small family owned Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown, about a 20 minute drive from the school. As they drove Annie would turn on the radio, as they listened to commercials before Umbrella by Rihanna ft Jay Z came on. Annie gasps as she turned it up slightly, giving a whole show, singing along to the chorus and looking to Matthew as they stopped at red lights performing it to him as boldly cupped his face and sang “because! When the sun shines, we shine together told you I’ll be here forever said I’ll always be your friend took an oath ima stick it out to the end now that it’s raining more than ever..” as she let go off his face as the light turned green and continued to hum to herself as the pulled up to Capri, Annie would turn the music off and park the car, turning it off as she got out.. rushing over to help Matthew out as she questioned “Is your ankle going to be okay? Maybe we can get. A booth so you can rest your leg..” as they walked in, being greeted by the waitress “table for two?” the waitress said as Annie nodded and requested for a booth, as the waitress took them over to the booth, Annie would sit down as Matthew sat on the opposite side incase he wanted to rest his leg up as they got their menus annie would glance at it already knowing what she wanted, as about 5 minutes passed the waitress came back and asked about what they wanted “Chicken Al la Gigi.. oh and white wine, please” she smiled as the waitress nodded looking to Matthew as hed order his food, the waitress took their menus and left them “This is a family owned restaurant definitely a hidden gem, authentic Italian

Food.. you could never go wrong..” Annie said smiling as they would chat.. the more they talked the more Annie started to feel warm, like she was falling for him he made her feel safe and welcomed, and even cared for her so much.. as they got their wine they would cheer to the game and moments later got their food, as Annie dug in, giving him a piece of her food @Büññy

Annie took over the wheel as she suggested a small family owned italian restaurant in the heart of downtown just 20 min away from school. While she was driving she started the radio , as they listened to Umbrella by Rihanna ft Jay Z. Annie cupped Matthew's face while repeating the lyrics -

“because! When the sun shines, we shine together told you I’ll be here forever  said I’ll always be your friend took an oath ima stick it out to the end now that it’s raining more than ever..”

. The smile on her face was enough to make Matthew happy . He watched her enjoy the song with his calm eyes. His heart beated fast as he saw her happy and enjoying the time they are having. He chuckled as the song ended and Annie realized what she was doing uptil now. She blushed as she looked at Matthew and smiled wryly. Matthew chuckled at her again while continuing the song -

. Annie and Matthew reached the restaurant while singing the song together. She parked the car and quickly came over the passenger's side to help him come out of the car. She made him hold on to her while Matthew walked gingerly. “Is your ankle going to be okay? Maybe we can get. A booth so you can rest your leg..”- she asked and suggested . "Yeah it will be fine by the end of the week, but a booth will be fantastic."- Matthew replied. Annie nodded as she helped him get inside the restaurant , while asking the waitress for a booth that had table for two. The waitress escorted them to the booth, as they settled in , Matthew and Annie sat on the opposite sides of the table. Annie took out the menu and called the waitress and ordered- “Chicken Al la Gigi.. oh and white wine, please” *. The waitress looked at Matthew , who was admiring Annie. He quickly shifted his gaze as he replied -"The same the lady ordered."*. The waitress nodded , she left the booth to both of them

The waitress came back with the bottle of wine , while she set up the table and poured for the two of them, she informed that their food will be here shortly. She left as Annie exclaimed-“This is a family owned restaurant definitely a hidden gem, authentic Italian food.. you could never go wrong..”. "I am convinced that the food will be great, the ambience and the staff are really friendly and i have you here, i bet it will be a gorgeous night." They clicked their glasses , cheered for the win , and took sips. The wine was good, but Matthew couldn't have more . he was not allowed to drink by coach. "By the way , i will be drinking this one only , i am not allowed to get drunk , they run drug tests before games."- Matthew declared, chuckling at Annie , who was making a pout face. The food came a few minutes later, while they looked at the platter, the need to devour it came instantly. The chicken were tender and well cooked as well the gravy was savoury and light, making it the best combination possible. Matthew placed his knife on the tender chicken and placed a fork on the small piece that came off immediately. He placed it inside his mouth, instantly his eyes closed, as the flavours bursted inside. "Oh my god! it's amazing"- he murmured while digging in. Both talking and laughing at different topics. The food was amazing as well as the company. Matthew and Annie came out of the restaurant after tipping the waitress and paying the bills. They came at the parking, while Annie was going towards the driving door, Matthew interrupted -"Wait i am gonna drive....don't worry the pain has gone....the painkillers are working...". Annie looked a little worried as she later agreed. Matthew started the car while Annie got into the car. "I had a really great night, thanks for taking me here...i needed this."- He declared looking at the blushed face of Annie. He smiled as he took the car out of the parking.

The radio was on as he looked wickedly at Annie who also had the same gaze. The song Treat you better Shawn Mendes was on. They started singing the song together , enjoying the ride as well the moments they were creating. The Annie he knew few weeks ago was gone as he saw a new girl . Matthew was proud of her , the return to her normal life is what he wanted. Things were not over , there were more pressing matters to be taken care of. Annie needed counselling and it was Matthew who can convince her. The plan to make her go to counselling needed to be made now. Matthew stopped the car infront of Annie's house. She looked at him as she bid her good night and gave Matthew a tight hug. He blushed and chuckled. Annie started walking towards the porch when he shouted -"Tomorrow be ready after school, you are coming to my house with me , i need to introduce you to someone.". Annie smiled as she replied with a nod. Matthew smiled back and waved goodbye , as he drove off the street towards his house. Today was bitter and sweet , but at the end it all panned out perfectly. Matthew had a smile which he wanted to treasure forever. He couldn't remain calm for the upcoming day. Excitement at it's best it was. As they reached the restaurant, Annie turned down the music, her face red from blushing as he sang along with her, it’s been awhile since she’s ever done something fun like that, and to have him by her side made it all more fun. She’d park the car and turned it off, rushing over quickly to the passenger side and opened the door for Matt to help him out as they walked in, she’d request the booth for the two as the waitress took them to a corner booth laying down the menu on the table , as she’d help Matthew into the booth before sitting across from him. As the two ordered their food, Annie looked at him a bit worried, she was scared his ankle was about to give out on him in any moment But all that fear semi flushed away when the wine arrived, Annie would clap her hands quietly in excitement as the waitress poured the wine into the glass and left to grab their food. “I am convinced that the food will be great, the ambiance, the staff are really friendly and I have you here, I bet it will be a gorgeous night” *he said as the two clicked their glasses, Annie smiled feeling a blush run across her cheeks as she sipped to the wine, a smooth velvety taste as Annie hummed with joy “By the way, I will be drinking this one only, I am not allowed to get drunk, they run drug test before games” he said as Annie raised a brow “alcohol isn’t a drug..” she said pouting slightly “but I won’t force you to drink any more, honestly I’m not that big of a drinker either.. I like to have one or two glasses and call it a day, I never understood the hype to get drunk” she commented rubbing her arm in slightly embarrassment as the food would arrive, a mix of cooking wine, spices and sweet savory sauce hitting the two noses as the waitress set the food down “Thank you..” *Annie smiled as the waitress would ask if they needed anything else, Annie shook her head no as the waitress left them. Nine after that one bite, as Annie would smile , she looked excited to try it if it he looked like that! She’d cut the chicken off with her fork and made sure to get all the sauce as well as veggies and bite into it, moving her shoulders up and down doing a little happy “dance” if you will* “this is amazing.. it’s my go too order from this place honestly… but tonight wow! They must’ve changed the recipe, added crack to it” shed joke, as the two continue to enjoy there little “date” as they finished and left the restaurant, Annie headed to the driver side only to be cut off “-wait I am gonna drive.. don’t worry the pain has gone, the painkillers are working” he claimed as Annie would freeze, and look at him worried “are you sure .. I hear painkillers have crazy affects and .. I don’t want you falling asleep on me or becoming delusional” she said as Matthew convinced her he’d be fine, and how he took the dosage he was prescribe, as Annie reluctantly handed him the keys and headed to the passenger side and got in, he’d start the car and began to drive her home Annie blushed, a small smile on her face as he stated that he needed this and how it was a great night, Annie chimed “yeah.. any time , it was a wonderful night.. I enjoyed it , thank you” she shyly said looking out the window.. well mainly his reflection, and the ride home was fun as they pulled up to Annie’s house, she’d look at him and boldly hugged him tightly as she thanked him , and wished him a good night as well as requesting a text for when he got home so she knew he made it safely, as she pulled away from the hug he stated to be ready tomorrow .. and how she was coming over to his house to be introduced to someone? Annie would nod a weak smile forking afraid. What was he talking about.. Annie got out his car and into her house getting ready for bed, as Matthew texted her just got home,see you Tomorrow, night As Annie smiled and responded back with Night Matt 🤗

staring at the text unsure about the emoji.. but eventually decided to just send it.. she was feeling bold due to the alcohol in her system as the next morning arrived Annie Woke up around 9, having a late start today thanks to her classes starting at 11. She’d head downstairs to her basement and did some quick exercises, and then headed to the shower and got dressed. She didn’t know who she was meeting, so she decided to keep it casual.. with formal, a cute two piece white set and pairing it with white sneakers. She’d double French braid her hair and did her makeup nicely .. she’d then cover her scar marks on her thighs and arms with concealer, and then grabbed her bag and left the house at 10:15. class was the same ole, sitting alone, ignoring people and doing her labs, frankly she was jittery about meeting this person from Matt’s side, who were they? Why was he so eager on her meeting them.. so many questioned filled her head as she got a text from Matt hey meet me at Grant Fountain at 2 As Annie would like the message and respond back with got it. As the day continued to drag on finally 2pm hit as Annie would leave her last class and head to grant fountain, seeing him waiting for her.. she’d walk over, both hands on the backpack straps as she looked at him all nervous “it’s the outfit okay?! The morning alarm kicked in at 6. Matthew left his bed and changed into his gym wear, his tied his running shoes. He opened his phone to call his mum, noone picked up. He sighed as left a voicemail.

"Hi mum! it's me Matt, ummm i know you are super busy with your work , but i want you to meet with someone , her name is Annie. You will love her. I am making dinner at home , please be here by 6. i kinda told her you will be meeting us tonight. Sorry , i lost control of my emotions, i forgot to ask you. Ok got to go, Bye Love you!"

He put the phone back in his trousers as he goes for a long walk, loads of thoughts going into his head. After the run he made himself a protein shake , fed his dog , made himself lunch, also poured some ice into the water for dipping his ankle inside it. He kept it for a while , after which Matthew showers and tapes his ankle properly. Matthew dressed up in his casuals as he went towards his car, taking his bag and lunch with him. He forgot the water bottle as he ran back inside to fetch it, patting his pet on the back, he droves off to college. The day went pretty normal , he went to the medical center to get his ankle checked , after getting to know he would be back to practice in a week , he sighed a big relief. Matthew came out of the medical center to go to the gym to talk with Coach. "You are here? what did the doctor said?" Coach asked. "She says i can be back within a week for a training , i have been suggested light training after two days." - Matthew replied. "Hmmm alright , sit here infront of me" coach instructed Matthew nodded as he sat on the chair infront of Coach. "whatever you did yesterday was not acceptable , shunning your own crowd for a fight with your teammate is not how i train my boys."- Coach further added "I am sorry , he talked the way a teammate shouldn't and i apologize coach." - Matthew w

Whined.

"He did say that cause you were not concerntrating on the court. His words might be harsh , but he respects you." *Coach replied *"And for your punishment , you will start from the bench for the next game. I don't want to hear anything , you can leave my office now."- He further added as he started working on his computer. Matthew looked shocked, his mouth wide open as he tried to speak , but closed them as he got up and went towards his classes. The Social Science class was on , when he entered, everyone looked at him when he took his seat. it was a rare sight to see Matthew attend classes, as everyone gasped , while he heard some clicks , as few were taking his pictures. His friends changed their seats to sit beside him, as they made fun and talk with him , time passed on. At lunch Matthew texted Annie "Hey meet me at Grant Fountain at 2". He did his lunch with his friends and later on attended classes and after 2 went infront of The Grant Fountain. He saw Annie coming towards him in her white outfit, looking beautiful as ever. “it’s the outfit okay?! Is it too much.. or revealing … who am I meeting what will they think!?”- she asked. "You look stunning. it's perfect."- Matthew replied , chuckling. "Let's go then" Both of them entered the parking to get into his car, as Matthew started the car , the music player turned on , Eastside was on , as they sang along the way to his house. As the car got parked , Matthew looked at Annie -"My mother will be accompanying us tonight. I have to prepare dinner. Wanna help me ?" @𝓢𝓪𝓫𝓫𝔂

Annie waited pretty anxiously by the fountain, pacing back and forth and fiddling with her thumbs. Her heart racing wondering what was so important about today. As she was pacing she’d accidentally bumped into Matthew and look up “sorry! I’m sorry!” she said fixing up her hair as she asked about her outfit “you look stunning it’s perfect” he said as Annie couldn’t help but blush “really..?” she said softly tugging at her sleeves making sure they covered her harm marks as she looked up to Matthew “So. What’s going on today?” she asked as they headed towards the parking lot and got in the car, no questions answered as they sang along to the song , time flying as they parked at his house Annie looked more confused as she’d lower the music about to re ask her question before he beat her to it “My mother will be accompanying us tonight. I have to prepare dinner. Wanna help me?” he asked casually as Annie began to panic “W-WHAT!? Your mom— Matthew I-i can’t look like this in front of you mom. I have to change.. I have to wear something more— no less— less revealing and more uh uh? Friendly?! Casual!! I don’t I don’t know! She’s going to think I’m a whore because of my outfit!!” she squealed as she began to hyperventilate she felt Matthew’s hand on her thigh as he told her to breath in on his que and breath out.. a she’s did, her breathing slowing as he said “you look beautiful.. my mother wouldn’t care what your wearing trust me.. so. Will you help me?” he said as Annie looked at him.. slowly nodding she’d then open the door and got out as Matt did to, fiddling with her sleeves as they got inside the house. His dog running up to greet him as the dog would then come to Annie and sniff her jumping up all excited as Annie would step back not wanting to get her outfit dirty, as she’d pet his dog with a soft smile “oh your a baby..” shed softly cooed to the dog as she then followed Matthew to the kitchen “So, what are you making..?”
