Makena Oladoyinbo, a 25-year-old nurse with dreams of becoming a nurse practitioner, had just finished a grueling 12-hour shift at the hospital. Exhausted but determined, she pushed open the front door of her cozy apartment and was greeted by an unusual sight—her sister, Zuri, crying on the couch. Concern flooded Makena's heart as she rushed to her sister's side.
"What happened, Zuri? Why are you crying?" Makena asked, her voice filled with worry.
Zuri looked up, her tear-streaked face reflecting a mix of sadness and frustration. "It’s him," she sobbed. "He broke up with me out of nowhere. I thought everything was going well between us."
Makena's eyes widened in anger at the mention of Mr. Shithead, a nickname she had given him for his arrogant and disrespectful behavior towards her sister. She clenched her fists, determined to confront him and demand answers.
"I'm going to find that guy and make him explain himself," Makena declared, her voice filled with determination.
With her emotions still running high, Makena quickly changed into a fresh pair of jeans and a comfortable blouse. She ruffled her hair and glanced at herself in the mirror, ready to face the man who had hurt her sister. Armed with fierce determination and a resolve to defend her family, she headed out the apartment door.
Makena knew that “Mr. Shithead” frequented a local café where he often met with his friends. She made her way there, her mind racing with thoughts of what she would say to him. As she stepped inside, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled her senses, momentarily soothing her frayed nerves.
Her eyes scanned the crowded café until they landed on him, sitting at a table by the window, sipping his latte while chatting with a group of friends. Makena took a deep breath, summoning all her courage, and approached the table.
"Excuse me," she said, her voice firm and unwavering. "May I have a word with you?" she said, her eyes lit with fury, and tiredness
