To say that the day had been hectic would be an understatement. Calvin had not been allowed to leave the shop as they had several orders to fulfill, though his parents and siblings left off to watch and help with the capture of the dragon. He had huffed, but understood; in his quick time as an apprentice, Calvin had been lauded for his skills and shoemaking.
As the sun set, he finished stacking everything and preparing the shoes to be picked up when his family returned. They all seemed to be in awe, if not a bit shellshocked and tired. He pressed for details, but they were hardly expert storytellers. So, once he was done, he decided to go see her for himself.
The cage was off to the side of the church as a way of showing off the captive. They supposed she would be a reminder of the power of their goddess in that she could tame such a legendary beast. Calvin wasn't entirely sure about all of that; he just wanted to see a dragon! The cage itself was magical, though he was far from an expert in such matters.
She did not appear to be asleep, so he walked up to the cage and sat in front of it. "Hi! I'm Calvin. You must be Sylvaria? Can I call you Sylvy? Oh, have you eaten yet? If you're going to be a guest here, we need to make sure that you're at least fed well." He said with a bright smile, simple as he was.
