As you open your eyes again, feeling a strange but pleasant breeze on your face, the sunlight hits you. It’s so bright that it feels like you haven’t seen it in ages. The beauty of the sky the sun resides in though… the beautiful blue is what snaps you out of your train of thought. Back home, it’s always rainy… how come it’s clear weather now? Your still at home, aren’t you? As you search your brain, you feel as if you’re unable to find the answer you was looking for… Looking around for some clue as to where you are, you look to the side of you, where you see a girl. Her outfit is… unusual to say the least, but the more unusual thing is her two tails, and those beautiful ears on her heads. Her appearance looks human, for the most part, but also as if she’s a fox… maybe a kitsune? The girl tilts her head at you curiously as she bends down and looks in your eyes, clearly a little intrigued by you…

Adonis' eye's fluttered open, an overly exaggerated groan escapes his lips as he pulls himself up off the ground, only to stare out at the bright skies. The clear laps in memories already sent alarms through his mind, but the stranger staring at him send shivers through his body. Stumbling to his feet, Adonis struggled to regain control of his body, as if he'd been laying still for far too long. Limping up to one foot, he shakily raised his arm to point as his accusatory glare stared down this women. "Who- What is this? Who are you??!" Though he tried to shout, the most that escaped his mouth was nothing more than a dry rasp. As he moved his mouth and regained his sense's, he finally began to realize the state of his body. He was starving and parched beyond anything he'd ever pushed himself too before... had he been buried for the past few day's? Nothing feels right, even in his own body. @Deleted User )

The girl jumps back a little, clearly slightly spooked by you, before she approaches you again, sniffing you gently. “Y-you… English… speak..?” She says as she looks up at you curiously. “You… no s-speak… lugnican..?” She asks, before holding a little flask out to you and saying “watah!”

Adonis was still quite suspicious of the new arrival, though the alarms in his head was quickly drowned out by his thirst. He quickly snatched the water out of Sayu's hands and chugged it, letting out a satisfied sigh immediately after. Adonis looked at Sayu again, still glaring, though his facial expression softened quite a bit. "Thank you... No, I don't think I've ever heard of Lugnican- Is that where we are-" His apology was a bit reluctant, but it was obvious this girl had very little ill intent. Though his curiosity sparked, he cut himself before he could begin rambling; understanding that the girl may have more than a spot of trouble understanding him.

the girl lets out a little “Eep!” As you snatch the water out of her hands, and she moves a little closer to you, watching you as curiously as you’re watching her. “We… in… Lugnica!” The girl struggles to say through broken English. After a moment of though, she gently holds out her hand and says “I… use… magic… to make… hear… speak… Lugnican! Hand…” she says, her hand looking awfully small, probably due to how small she is herself…

Adonis frowned a slight bit, though he did not trust this girl he couldn't help but feel bad for scaring her a bit. He let out another sigh as he tried to straighten up, regaining his old posture. Adonis wasn't too tall or muscular, only standing at 5'9. His frame was toned but wiry, his forearms like a mass of twisting vines under his skin. Adonis held out his hand in return, though his hand wasn't much bigger than hers. However, it was much rougher, his palm covered in thin calluses. "I'm not sure if you're serious about this... but you seem like it." @Deleted User )

The girl smiles as you touch your hand, and you feel a strange tingling conversation. “There we go! You can Understand me now, can’t you, mister?” She says as she moves closer and happily sits on one of your legs, looking up at you with her own legs either side of yours. “So, now you can understand me, there’s something you need to do for me…” she says mischievously, before planting her head on your chest. “Gimme head pats!” She says looking up at you. “To reward me for casting that spell on you properly! I coulda messed up and made you speak Karagikan instead!” @Visape)

Adonis fully blanched at Sayu's sudden change in demeanor, his mind lapsing as she sat on his lap. Wait, so... she's speaking another language?? But she can understand me? So does that mean she just made me learn an entire language by-His mind continued to wonder through pointless question and mind shattering revelation, allowing Sayu to take one of his hands and place it on her head. As he continued to question the sudden change around him, his mind wandered back to how he came to be in this place. I don't remember how I got here... what happened? I was at home... then I went to work and after- wait, what happened after? I- I was going... somewhere? Where was I going? How did I end up here. Adonis' face contorted to one of mild discomfort as he tirelessly searched his mind, sending a throbbing pain through his body. Though, while he was thinking, his hands began to take a mind of its own. What started as simple stroking and patting slowly turned into an impromptu massage, as Adonis ran his fingers and knuckles through Sayu's head, massaging her scalp... then down to the base of her skull, and even the back of her neck, his mind completely engrossed in something else. @Deleted User )

Sayu happily purrs as you massage her head and neck, before she looks up at you and sees your confused and slightly scared expression. “Is everything okay, mister human?” She says with an adorable head tilt. “You look scared… would a head pat help calm you down?” She asks curiously, before she gently grabs you hand and says “I’m here for you, mister human… you can speak to me if you’d like to get anything off your chest, okay?” And she smiles a little, saying “I’ll even give you a hug if it’ll make you feel better! @Visape)

Adonis was snapped back by Sayu's sweet voice, now that she was speaking in full sentences she was surprisingly... cute. "Heh, I should be fine. Just a bit lost, you said we were in a... Lugican? Is that where this is?" Adonis' face softened as he looked down at her, his eye's glimmering a soft golden hue. He would've made an attempt to stand up, though he found himself oddly comfortable where he was. @Deleted User

Sayu giggles a little as you speak, saying “no, silly! Lugnican’s our language! We’re in Lugnica right now! It’s the capital city of Alfheim! I wonder how you got here without knowing it existed, and without speaking our language too! It’s lucky I know magic, or you’d be walking around all confused!” She says, giving you a smile as her two tails brush up against your legs. “Where are you from, mister human? Not many places around here speak English anymore! It’s become really rare to speak! That rare that not even I speak it!” @Visape)

Adonis narrowed his eye's as he spoke, dormant sparks in his mind finally firing back to life after what felt like eons. Alfheim, land of the elves... where have I heard this before. Another flash of pain spread across his temples. "Ok.. Thanks Sayu. Don't know what I'd do without you." He smiled as he gently massaged his temples, before gently lifting Sayu off his lap and slowly clambering to his feet. His body creaked and snapped at most joints, but it wasn't any less weaker than the last time he used it... whenever that may have been. Adonis groaned as he stretched his body, turning to look at the world around him before look back down to Sayu. "Well... I believe I'm from earth, though I'm not exactly sure. I.. think I'm still waking up, so if you don't mind waiting a bit, I might be able to give you a better answer." Adonis once again smiled, his whole demeaner shifting to one that was more relaxed, his shoulders dropped and his fists relaxed, though his smile still seemed a bit strained. @Deleted User )

Sayu panics a little at first as you pick her up, and as you stand up, you can see just how much taller than Sayu you are, with her being just over half your height. “A-are you okay..? Can you stand?” She asks curiously with a head tilt, “What’s an ‘Earth’..? I’ve never heard of that nation before…” and Sayu looks up at you, gently takes your hand, before she shakes her head and says “forcing a smile isn’t a good idea… it’ll give your cheeks wrinkles…” @Visape)

Adonis' smile flattened a slight bit before squeezing Sayu's hand for a bit, slowly kneeling down before falling backwards, chuckling a slight bit as he did. "Ow. That hurt." He muttered under his breath as he massaged his legs, which ached slightly. "Wrinkles might be the least of my concerns... Oh! Earth isn't a nation, it's a- how do I explain a planet its a bigggg rock that floats around a star far off in the sky." Adonis started gesturing up into the blue sky, trying to explain as best he could what he remembered. About halfway through his explanation, Adonis snaps to another train of thought, again trying to stand up only to fall again. "Shit. Sorry little lady, you know if there's a town nearby I could get some help? I think I might be stuck." @Deleted User )

Sayu looks a little amazed as she says “Woah… a big rock..? And a star..?” And she looks up at the blue sky for a minute, before realising. “Oh! Is star a name for the shiny things? You’re so wise, mister human!” And she smiles, gently patting your head this time with a happy look on her face. “How did you get here then? Can you fly or something!? Are you an angel!?” She says, theorising to herself as she thinks to herself… Sayu looks a little confused and says “mhm! We’re in Lugnica! Where do you need to go, mister?”she asks as she somehow picks you up, bridal carrying you, clearly a lot stronger than her short nature and build would suggest… @Visape)

Adonis' first instinct would've been to shake free, but the sheer shock of being lifted by such a small frame left him straddled in her arms, staring into her eyes with a light blush on his face. "Augh.. this is something." He softly whispered as he frantically tried to regain his composure. "I've got.. um I've got no idea where we are? Do you know any ports or towns nearby?" Adonis finally cleared his throat before standing back up to his feet, cautiously taking a few steps before walking out of the expansive clearing they seemed to be in. "Also you don't need to call me mister. I'm only 20, and my name is Adonis Ark. You can just call me Addy ok?" He turned back to beckon her over, still seeming like he had a bit of trouble walking. "I also can't fly or anything. Not that I remember anything. I just wanna figure out where we are for now..." He scratched his head as he leaned against a tree, sighing softly. @Deleted User )

Sayu nods and says “I know a city nearby! It’s called Lugnica, silly! Are you sure you can walk though..? You seem a little… clumsy, to say the least…” and she helps you to your feet. As you mention your age, Sayu giggles and says “Jeez, you’re really young, Addy! I’m ten times your age!” She says with a little giggle. “Kitsune age slower than humans! In your age, I’m about 18!” She says with a smile, before she looks confused. “You can’t fly? Then how did you get here..? I’m confused…” @Visape)

Adonis made an attempt to be shocked by her age, but with all that was going on he wasn't too surprised. He turned and frowned a bit, gently pressing his fingers into his legs before looking back up to her. "Yeah I think I'm just out of practice. If I look like I'm gonna fall, just make sure I don't right?" He smiled another thin smile before walking off in whatever direction Sayu directed before speaking again. "So.. I don't think I know your name? You said you're a.. kitsune? Like the messenger of God kitsune? We have stories about them from where I'm from but... not actual existing ones." @Deleted User )

Sayu nods a little and says “don’t worry! I’ll make sure you don’t fall, Addy!” And she gently holds your hand, looking up at you as she says “oh, I forgot to tell you my name? I’m called Sayu! I like Yu though. Mama used to call me Yu.” And she smiles a little. “Mhm! I’m a kitsune! I’m different to all the others though, even though there’s only two families of kitsune left nowadays… I was born in this world, rather than another world like the others were. It sorta makes getting tails harder than just fighting in holy wars, so I sorta only get one a century. I like to make sure they look fluffy though, so people aren’t AS scared by me!” And she smiles a little. “Oh! By the way, if you ever meet another Kitsune, make sure you give them a head pat, okay? We sorta don’t others as friends until they pat our head… more as enemies…” @Visape)

Adonis listened intently as they walked together, hand in hand. Though he was still way out of his depth, he slowly came to an understanding as some loose memories came back. Memories of school days, reading comic books and watching movies... family. The gentler times in life, which allowed him to understand that maybe Sayu didn't have it as gentle as he did. Soon they came towards a large stone wall, stories high and dotted with archers nests and soldier patrols. In front of them was a long que of caravans, traders wishing to pass their wares or make residence and others who were traveling the lands. Few were human, as several other fantastical beasts peppered the line. Adonis' eyes lit up with a glimmering gold as a wave of wonder and astonishment washed over him. The lands he once thought to be fairy tales and fiction now stood in front of him... and some of the fear and confusion began to bubble up inside him again. He turned his attention to Sayu, his eyes wide and his smile growing larger by the minute. "This- I never thought this kinda thing existed. So it's common for other beings to hop between worlds?? Is that how I got here? I- I- I have so many questions... thanks Yu. You've been a great help." He grinned from ear to ear as he again dropped to a knee to meet her eyes, rubbing her head enthusiastically. @Deleted User

Sayu looks a little confused and says “I’m not completely sure what you mean by that, but it’s okay! As long as you’re okay now, and not as sad as you looked before, then I’m happy too!” Sayu happily takes your head pats as she nudges your hand with her head gently, leaning into them more, with an expression that implies she’s really enjoying it. The closer you both walk to the walls, the more you see the sheer length of them, and the castle standing above all the other houses and shop roofs. It’s like something ripped straight out of some fairy tale, or maybe some prettily developed anime… As you approach the moat around the castle, a human looking guard points at you both and says “you two. Over here. We need to register you both in the journal.” And Sayu smiles, saying “they just ask you for your name and race! For instance, I’d say ‘Sayu, Kitsune!’ So you’d say… ‘Addy, human.’ Right?” @Visape)

Adonis stood next to Sayu, face a mix of awe and confusion. From what he saw, it seemed like this world was still stuck in the dark ages. From his loose memories that still floated around in his head, he knew that there was much more left to be discovered, and he pondered his role in this world. Could he be the one to invite science and modern medicine in this world?? Though, just as quickly as his hopes began to flourish, they were dashed. With what memories he did have of his schooling, he also knew he wasn't the most studious... and he never payed attention anyways. Adonis subtly looked the guard up and down before looking down to Sayu and nodding. "Adonis Ark, Human. No current occupation." Adonis snapped to attention as he spoke, some ancient muscle memory triggering as he recognized this duty. It was strange, he was sure he had no military experience, but something about this felt so natural. Strange @Deleted User )

the guard nods and writes something down in the journal he’s holding, but the letters don’t look the, well, letters to you. They look more like some odd sort of rune, something slightly occult. Sayu smiles happily and says “Sayu Sakura, Kitsune! I-… don’t have a job! Mhm!” She says with a smile as the guard looks her up and down. The guard takes a minute to look deeply into her eyes, as if to intimidate her, before he nods and says “whatever. You may enter. All hail the dragon queen.” And Sayu happily responds with “All hail the dragon queen!” As she takes your hand, leading you through the gate. The inside of the city was nothing like anything you’d ever seen before. It’s medieval look reminds you of something out of a TV show, but the amount of unhuman creatures walking around was certainly a sight to behold, with each one of them having slightly different traits to the one next to them; maybe it was the way they were walking, their physical features, eyes, or even just down to the amount of fingers they had on each hand, each one certainly stood out. The buildings all had that classic Victorian esc look, with white painted houses and black beams. Far in the distance, still inside the city walls, however on the other side of the city stood a tall castle, one that’s clearly only fit for a ruler… Sayu looks up at you and smiles happily saying “whaddya think!? It’s super pretty here, isn’t it?” @Visape)

As the pair floated through the bustling streets, Adonis' mind wondered far. As he watched each of these fascinating wonders walk by him, flashes of wonder and inspiration passed through his mind. I'm really was in a fantasy world... I want a sword. Adonis smiled before quickly shaking his head. When did he get so distracted? No, he needed to find a way home.. for his family. Adonis looked down to Sayu, rubbing her head before looking up to the large tower. "It is Sayu, it really is... Hey, would you happen to know if there is a library nearby?" He smiled as he looked to the large buildings and their painted walls, not able to recognize any signs or shops. @Deleted User )

Sayu looks up at you with a happy look on her face as she says “well, there is one library nearby I know of… it’s a little old though, and most of the books are dusty… would somewhere like that be okay?” She asks with a little head tilt. “I can take you to it if you’d like, since you can’t read or speak Lugnican…” @Visape)

Adonis looked a bit surprised as Sayu spoke, but after a moment he nodded and ruffled her hair again, making sure to scratch behind her ears and wherever she responded the most. In a much softer, sweeter voice he spoke. "What would I do without you Sayu. Ok, lead the way!"

Sayu purrs happily as you scratch behind her ears, more cat-like than Kitsune-like, and she happily says “you’d probably be lost and confused… so it’s good I’m here… so I can help you… come on!” And she takes your hand again, beginning to lead you down the street, and you see more… ‘Unique’ looking individuals. One looks like an anthropomorphic lizard, and the another is a winged girl with some sort of strange horns… as Sayu catches you looking at them, she says “Did you not have people like that back wherever you used to live..?”

Adonis couldn't help but stare, he seemed lost for words as Sayu spoke to him. Letting out a soft chuckle, a rosy tint took to his tanned checks. "Not at all... well maybe. Though all of that was in story, long before my time. Just us humans and the animals." Adonis began to speak, and before long he found himself rambling about fauna and flora. He remembered not being too studious, but a strange sense of fascination began to take controle of him. It seemed he had a real history with... well history. At a young age, he began to understand his place in the world and how vast it was and soon became obsessed with learning about it... and now that he was in a new world, he could start that journey of enlightenment all over again. First things first, he needed to know where he was, and if there were more people like himself. @Deleted User )
