A chill went down his spine when she said she thought he was.. well, him. That wasn't good, not in the slightest. He'd need to get out of here quickly, if this woman was truly a hunter. Jumping up onto the windowsill, he looked around to find any sign of an exit.
Curious was one way to put it, he supposed, but it was more 'im going to die if i dont leave' than 'im curious about my surroundings because im a cat'. Because he wasn't. Xander still had no idea why he transformed into a cat, or how to even change back, but he was stuck like this until he figured that out.
..And from what she was mumbling to herself about, she was an ambitious one, too. Dammit, that made things even worse, since she'd likely want him dead as soon as she realized what he was. A buzzing from the other side of the room caught his attention, and his head turned to watch her read something on her phone before furrowing her brows and looking at him.
His feline feet couldn't carry him away from her fast enough, so she was able to scoop him up and stare at his face, him struggling against her grip the entire time until she put him down, after which the cat-shaped Xander retreated several cat-paces and stared her down.
The cat's eyes blinked a couple of times before he tried thinking about his original form- And his powers responded, causing him to return to his mundane form, blood still covering his face. "..I never asked to be this." The man seemed.. fairly small, frail, even. His skin was paler than most vampires, and he didn't seem to be an experienced predator. "I swear, I tried to fight it for well over a month.. But that damned thirst won in the end. If you're going to kill me, make it quick, because if you don't, my survival instincts are just going to take over again and I'll run."
