There were days that were peaceful, no one finding themselves underneath a piece of rubble or in the midst of some sort of robbery.. And then there days like these. In the middle of some giant explosion and God help her, she was late. She barely had time to yank her boots up her legs while in the midst of sprinting behind the university she worked for and get to that damn explosion in time so she wouldn't get punished there after. Often enough, it was her fault. You're late? Your fault. Even if you were wounded or not able to get the call because of some other damn chaos. She rounded the corner, boots hitting the pavement just for a moment to gain speed and take off into the sky, her hair poofing up in surprise as she hurriedly looked around for the destruction. There's a figure in the middle, and she's really not in the mood for this type of dialouge. Now fully clothed in her supersuit she rushed over, probably causing more damage to the freshly painted and now VERY broken street. She looks around, and not seeing any bodies, she thinks it's going to go fairly well. Just a lot of paperwork. She whips her head around, looking over at the figure. "..Haven't seen you before, around here at least. Now we can handle this the easy way, or we can do this the... Fairly hard way." She warns, still fixing her latex gloves as she looks to the figure surrounded by the thick clouds of smoke. @#JusticeforMaraJade

He was frustrated. No... That wasn't the word. Incensed. Furious. Someone had tried to swoop in on his prize - Solomon's Key. The Solomon's Key. Theli had only ever gotten as far as alchemy and elemental magics, but summoning? That was something that had eluded him. None of these modern paltry excuses for rituals were right. They would haphazardly summon half-baked djinns or minor imps, but angels? devils? He needed The Key to unlock that door. And this... petty supervillain - Dr. Maximus something or other - thought to steal it with a giant robot. Everything on Theli's end had been perfect until the wacky scientist got involved. It was of no consequence to the alchemist, though. The machine was metal and steam - both were easy to break down. The man himself was weak and frail, despite being young. Perhaps he was in his twenties? Thirties? It mattered not. A swift iron hand to the chest pierced his heart and ended his interference. He tossed the lifeless body to the side amongst and under the rubble and watched as he forced the blood to leave his hand. Hydrogen Oxygen Nitrogen Carbon Iron That was all human life boiled down to: a mix of elements. And yet, another saw fit to interrupt him. And she spoke English. Of course. Everyone here did. That rough, g r a t i n g, language that beat against his ears like a drum. He would utter it, though. It was easier and more civilized than resorting to violence. Had the so-called scientist not resorted to trying to kill Theli with his robot, then perhaps he would still be alive. "Please leave," he replied. "I am tired and wish to return home with my prize." @Kars

"..You caused a lot of damage, you killed a man, and you think I could let you go home to a.. Prize?" The woman does happen to have an accent, something relating to the carribean but not exactly easy to spot what is her native tongue. She's dressed in an all white and seemingly thick latex suit combined with a cape, gloves, and the boots that had heels in the back. Maybe it wasn't a wise decision to have such, though they did as they formally pleased. She looks down to the lifeless body of the man he had tossed to the side, and held back a gag at the sight of the brutality he had caused. But she didn't know the story of what had happened, she only knew she had to attend to whomever needed it in the middle of the city and the middle of a fight. She could still hear the alert in her ears, a sound that pierced through peace. She stepped forward, standing a couple of feet behind her as she kept her hands at her sides. Diana would have done anything not to be here, maybe be at home with a bottle of wine and something spicy to go down with it. She wondered what she could make tonight, what would suit her palette, but this wasn't the time to be thinking of food and drowning herself for a hangover the next morning. A small globe of light appeared in her left hand. "We can go the relatively easy way... Or we can do this the hard way. I don't want to fight you, sir." @#JusticeforMaraJade

While his face was obscured from her sight via his mask, he was giving her a rather apathetic look. Realistically, he knew there was nothing she could do to him. "No, no you do not. I have no interest in killing another tonight; I already sullied my outfit with the blood of this rather inane human." He looked over at the lifeless body and then back at her. "Blood would also ruin your painfully white outfit. I am sure you would much rather simply leave rather than engage in a fight that would most certainly end in your death." She was no threat to him; he knew that. Even with her light abilities, she would most likely only, at most, irritate him. "Proposal: Allow me to leave with my book and you may leave with your life. You may make up some story about me escaping or something of the sort - whatever makes you feel better." Right. Leaving. He would shrink into the shadows, but he would rather not mix that magic with that of Solomon's Key. Those were two elements he was not sure he could control; he did not even know what they would do. For now, he would need to rely on his physical abilities to take him from this place. "Do we have a deal?" @Kars

"As much as I would like to make up some sort of lie to my superior, the cameras and the recording devices would not let it happen.." She stepped forward, her all white eyes and brows glaring at him. She had no idea what he was capable of, what he could do, in fact, she was just as clueless as the other individual who had tried to make something out of what the man held. She glanced toward the book he had mentioned, her eyes scanning over to the cover before it's clear she has no idea what it is. She looks at him again. "Go with me peacefully, and perhaps this will not be a problem. I don't want a fight, and I know you don't want one either.." She's trying to make a deal but she doesn't realize that it doesn't work. Of course, this was only a list of things she could try until she'd eventually have to engage in combat. @#JusticeforMaraJade

He cast a hand out and shadows flew towards the cameras, covering them and binding them. "There. Now we are alone." He stepped forward and tilted his head to the side, "you are quite the passive hero. Perhaps you would serve better as, ah, what is the term? A villain?" He looked her over before snapping his fingers. The colors on her outfit shifted from stark white to jet black. "Far more appropriate for someone of your alignment, don't you think?" He turned around away from her and began to observe his possible exits. "Now if you excuse me, I must take my leave." @Kars

"Heh. You've got some jokes it seems.. But I regret to inform you that it's not that simple, nor do I like bad guys." She said, turning and raising her hands to her shoulders. There's a light in either one, one that glows in a large manner and toward where he stands. The request, the option lingered in the back of her mind as she thought about it.. But this was no time to think was it? She shifted, hands of light aimed right at him. "You can still do this the easy way." @#JusticeforMaraJade

"I do not 'joke'. I simply state what is true. If you believe that the truth is entertaining or humurous, then that is an issue you should take up with yourself." He sighed and opened the book. Millions of words slapped him in the face as the knowledge of summoning poured into him. It was... a bit much. "בפקודת שלמה, אני מזמין אותך, מינור אימפ." There was a flash of fire and a small Imp appeared in front of him. Theli closed the book and pulled his hand back - an ethereal chain forming on the Imp's neck. "Flawless summon. Now, be a good familiar and distract her so that I may leave." The Imp screeched and began to spout fire around the ruins. "You should consider my words, 'hero.'" With that, he made a move to leave. @Kars

"Oh HELL-" Diana had to fly out of the way of the imp to actually get away, shooting up into the air and looking out frantically. Aiming with her hands together she directed a flashing beam of light. It's like a mouthful of light, too bright to see only for a moment so she can actually knowing what she's doing. She might need backup, and god forbid does she actually want some backup. Backup looks bad on the record. Nostrils flaring with anger she clasped her hands side by side again, a yell escaping her lungs as she aimed a hot, nearly molting beam of light down on the imp. @#JusticeforMaraJade

The imp managed to dodge the first, quick and nimble as it was. It zipped towards her, pointing its tail down. It managed to get a single sting against her before the second beam hit him and incinerated him. A sudden warmth shot through her body, not too unfamiliar from arousal. Whatever the imp had stung her with, it was having a very specific effect on her. Probably some sort of incubus. Either way, both it and the stranger were gone. @Kars

“OW! What the.. Ugh..” She says, shaking her head. The thing was gone but so was this damned villain. She sighed, drifting slowly to the ground. This would be paperwork, a meeting with a total asshole, seemingly having failed all over again. She sighed, rubbing the sweat from her forehead as she stormed off. And now here she was, bottle of wine in hand and trying to ignore the warm feeling. Demons?! Summoning demons?! She already had a meeting with whomever was her boss, and the villain’s words lingered in the back of her mind. One, being not so funnily aroused by a sting, and two. He wasn’t wrong. Not many knew about the things that happened in the hero society, especially corruption. She leaned back in her sofa, staring at the ceiling for a while before pouring herself a cup of wine. Should she go out? She didn’t know. @#JusticeforMaraJade

The imp had been an easy summon. In fact, he could have done that without the book. But this would be a true test. Flauros. That would be a fine summon from the Ars Goetia. The chaos of a fire daemon with the body of a bipedal leopard would surely cause quite the stir. He would focus on the more human creatures later. The thump of the bass was indeed driving him insane, but this was as good a place as any to try his hand. Debauchery and lechery would surely be good breeding grounds for a summoning. He sat backstage, thumbing through the books. It had been a bit difficult to procure the ingredients for the summon, but it was far from impossible. So he began. @Kars

Diana was tired of the warmth flooding through her body, more than tired. Now standing in front of the mirror with her hair neatly one and wearing her signature tight red gown she’s got an itch she’s dying to scratch. How powerful was that imp? Why was it so damn strong? God knows what she could do. So why not? She sighed, and off to the night club she went. She often went to blow off steam and do as she pleased, probably regretting decisions in the morning when she went to work. She sighed heavily, looking around the club with a fruity cocktail in her head. The music was loud, lights bright as people danced, conversed, or probably made out in the corner out of sight. She sipped the passion fruit flavored Bacardi in her hand, eyes looking around the room. Maybe she needed a bit more alcohol, just to be a bit more confident. A dark red dress, heels, shying away against the bar. “This fuckin’ blows..” @#JusticeforMaraJade

Now out on the floor, Uriah decided he would wait a moment before instructing his newest ally to cause destruction. Our of the corner of his eye, though, he spotted a familiar figure. Though she was out of uniform, she was easy to identify. He made his way to the bar and sat down next to her and ordered a gin and tonic. "You look nervous," he spoke up, turning towards her. "Or, perhaps, something else? You're certainly not here for the music, as banal as it is." @Kars

DG: “Hm? Oh well uh.. Somewhat. Not exactly looking for music or dancing, was looking for a night, stress taken off.. Stuff like that.” She said, frowning. She hadn’t recognized the man standing next to her, quietly sipping her drink before turning to him as he had to her. The dress does a good job of showing off her curves, nails in the same color and same with the heels. Her lips are also red,she coordinates the colors well. “You don’t exactly look too fond of the club here either. Something bothering you aswell? You’re looking for something else?” Outside of being a hero she seemed a bit more shy, though equally as friendly as she always had been. @#JusticeforMaraJade

"Ah," he said, waving at the bartender as he set down the drink. He stirred the drink slightly and took a sip. He eyed her up and down, watching as she slightly fidgeted in her seat from the effects of the imp. "I am here to... experiment. I suppose that is the correct term. This is both the best and worst place for it; the noise is quite bothersome." He set his drink down and raised his eyebrow, "back to my question, then. What brings you here?" @Kars

Diana felt his eyes on her and of course shifted again, nodding as she fixed her dress and sipped her drink again. The alcohol provides some relief, though it seems not much. She clears her throat. "It's um.. Not the most appropriate reason but more so I came to relief some uh.. Tension. Though not with more than one person. That's all." She felt odd being questioned, but she at the same time did want a little more. She finds the man attractive, no doubt, though she doesn't know what to do. Would she accept if he proposed something? She's no virgin, that train left a long while ago, so why was she so.. Needy and nervous? @#JusticeforMaraJade

"Most people would use a dating app or... tool assistance," he replied, raising an eyebrow. "At least in my experience, that is. I choose neither. Even here, I would take pause when it comes to choosing someone to engage with on a sexual level. Who knows what bacterial pool these heathens are swimming in." Uriah let out a sigh and rolled his eyes. "In face, you seem to be far more put-together and dressed up than most of the people here." He tipped his drink back, easily finishing it. "Let us venture elsewhere. This is no place for a lady. Have you had dinner yet?" He leaned in slightly, not daring to touch her yet. "Or perhaps, dessert?" @Kars

Diana was a bit interested by the way he told things, though he seemed relatively put together. She shakes her head. She wonders how he's so charming, though she wonders if the sting is what caused this. Normally she's stricter, more wavering and even then she wouldn't be here. She nods. "I haven't had either, no..." A part of her is excited, though she keeps herself still and keeps her legs together. Maybe it's the alcohol or maybe it's the atmosphere of her desperation, but she felt.. Nice. @#JusticeforMaraJade

He tossed a fifty to the bartender and stood up. He was in a simple button-up polo and khakis, rather dressed-down compared to her. He offered her his hand with a warm, if not knowing, smile. "Then let us have both." @Kars

Diana let a small smile slip, taking his hand. Her hands are soft, warm and overall without the hero costume she's like a whole other person. Shy, kept in, and even when down in trying to scratch an itch she needs, it's like she would never have been the cocky hero. The words still lingered, though she still didn't know whom he was. Though this wasn't the time to think about them. Not when she's being offered what looks to be good. She stands from her chair, following. @#JusticeforMaraJade

He led her by the hand out of the club. It was a nice, brisk walk to the restaurant; an expensive fine-dining establishment. "Ah, Mr. Hassan. Welcome. What a lovely guest today. A nice change of pace from the boring suits you usually entertain?" The owner laughed, greeting Uriah with a handshake and a hug. "Indeed," Uriah smiled, looking back at Diana. The owner led the two of them to a dimply lit booth in the back and seated them. They were a good distance from the club now, so he let the summon loose. He no longer needed to worry about it. "Order whatever you like; I will be paying." @Kars (edited)

Diana was a bit suspicious for the most part yet at the same time she didn’t feel bad at all. A handsome man taking her out for some sort of mini date. Had it been this long since she had been taken on a nice date and had a good time? It was too long. Too long of hero committee without any time to really do things. Plus the warm feeling, god help her. She looks down at the menu, raising a brow at the selection. Everything expensive, everything yet sounding delicious. “I uh.. Are you sure?” @#JusticeforMaraJade

"Of course. Money means very little to me," he replied with a gentle smile. "Besides, I am good friends with the owner. He is an honest man with honest prices. And the food is kosher! It is a fine establishment indeed." He set his menu down to get a good look at her. She seemed less uptight like this. Or maybe it was due to his... interference earlier?" @Kars

Interference was an understatement. Being stung by some sort of imp and losing her mind was already beneath her skin because of earlier. She had gotten yelled at and sent home for the rest of the day. But now, in the midst of the chaos, she decided she needed a bit of a break and wanted to actually relax. Especially if she's being wined and dined so nicely. She's got a bit of tattoos around her hands and on the side of her neck, they look to be small and hidden majority of the time by th gloves and other material when it comes to her costume. She catches his gaze, a small smile on her face. But even when he was paying, she wanted to be cheap. "Alrighty then.. I'll get this. Seems relatively nice-" @#JusticeforMaraJade

He returned her smile with one of his own. "Of course." He motioned over the waiter and they ordered their food and some drinks. "Now, what was a beautiful woman like you doing in a seedy place like that? You did not look like you were enjoying yourself amongst the loud music and cheap drinks." He stirred around the wine in his glass with a smile and then took a sip, "I myself wanted to see what the draw was in such a place but, alas, aside from the beautiful woman whose company I am now enjoying, the 'club' was wanting in true enjoyment." @Kars
