It was time. After all of these millennia, the hells were spilling over into the world of man and beast. Countless kingdoms fell before the armies of the Abyss. Most races retreated to their respective realms, leaving man to fight for himself. They were no match for the wicked armies. Each army of fire had its general, someone renowned in the Abyss for their vile and wicked spirit. Each Lord picked his or her own offspring to bring the world to its knees; at the core of the offensive was Korvak ibn Asmodeus. True to his name, the son of Asmodeus was ruthless. He cut down villages and kingdoms with ease. Prisoners were taken merely out of amusement.
This, therefore, led him to the latest kingdom in his conquest. He knew a few things about this particular kingdom. First, the queen, Queen Syriene, was supposedly the most beautiful woman 'in the land,' or so the rumors went. The second thing he knew was that this kingdom would be difficult to attack due to its positioning. Positioned against a mountain, there was only one way on land that someone could attack. By the time he and his armies would crest the mountaintop, the kingdom would have enough time to build up their defenses.
But he was not without his tricks, this Korvak. Not only would this be a rather novel attempt at overthrowing the kingdom, but it would also be quite enjoyable for him. Queen Syriene was known for her beauty and innocence; he would crush that. The kingdom itself had enough fear and vice to feed him for centuries, but that would be his in.
Late at night, while the Queen and King slept, Korvak invaded her dreams. It was a nice dream; she was walking amongst the flowers of her garden - pointless drivel - when he appeared in front of her. Menacing and imposing, he reached down and grabbed her by the neck. He lifted her up to meet his gaze, "Hello, dear queen. This is quite the garden you have here. I wonder if the true courtyard can compare." He brought her close and ran his tongue across her
