“Welcome to Eldoria Castle, Iphigenia” Deloris spoke softly, bowing slightly to the new comer. Iphigenia was recently hired by the castle to take part as one of their many maids, and she was thrilled.. sorta, she needed the job to take care of her family. The red head bowed her head slightly at her greeting and softly replied “thanks” “I'll be showing you around today. Let's get started, shall we?” Deloris spoke as she began the tour “Thank you, Delores. I'm excited to begin my work here” “Well, I must warn you, Iphigenia. The prince of Eldoria, has a reputation for being cold-hearted and distant. Some even say he's unapproachable.” she spoke quietly showing her the kitchen.. as they walked around and then exited to the hall “Oh, really? That's quite intimidating. Is he really that unkind?” she ask rubbing the back of her head “Well, he rarely shows any warmth or kindness to anyone, not even to his own staff. It's said that he keeps to himself most of the time, locked away in his study or wandering the castle alone.” Delores responded “That does sound rather lonely. I wonder why he's like that..” her voice trails as they entered the ballroom she’d stare in awe of it “Nobody really knows. Some say it's because of a tragic event in his past, others think it's just his nature. Either way, it's best to avoid crossing paths with him if you can help it” Delores warned as they exit heading upstairs towards the chambers “I'll keep that in mind. It's probably best to focus on my work and not get involved in his affairs” Iph admitted rubbing her arm as she peak into the kings and queen. Chamber as they would leave and then peak into Princes Vondyars room “Wise thinking, Iphigenia. Now, let's head to the east wing of the castle. There are several rooms that need cleaning there” Delores speak ending the tour as they began to head towards the east wing *As they make their way through the castle, Iphigenia accidentally bumps into someone “Oh, I'm so so

rry! I didn't see where I was going…” she spoke glancing up seeing it was prince Vondyar.. as Delores stepped In immediately “We’re so sorry Prince..” Dolores spoke in a plea “this is Iphigenia.. she is new” @Uepa

The prince was an odd one indeed. Not even his father knew what went across his head and he had stopped trying years ago. His mother however, she still held hope her odd son would find some sort of happiness in life. That was the issue, nobody understood him. They thought he was unhappy and he only lived to rule and serve his kingdom. His mother, father and some staff pitied him. He hated pity. That morning he was walking alone, like usual. He had been training the previous hours and still weared the shirt and brown pants , dirtied by the mud outside. His sword hang from his belt, pristine and immaculate unlike his clothes. A weapon as expensive as a peasant's entire year of food. Both arms crossed behind his back, gaze distant outside the castle's windows; he seemed to walk aimlessly. And then he felt a bump against him. "Dolores, you needn't explain. I've never seen this girl's face, I assumed she was new. That's no excuse for carelesness and clumsiness. The apology is accepted, Iphigenia," he gazed down at her, showing her first hand what the head maid had told her. Cold, uncaring; just logic. He squinted his eyes and lowered himself a little, only to turn around. "See that she cleans my chambers, Dolores. If father and mother accept, of course. She will be needing a firm hand to improve. Understood?"

Iphengia would look down as he scolded her.. her hands infront as Dolores would nod in agreement and quickly chimed in “N-no your absolutely right sire! I apologize for her clumsiness she won’t do it again I promise you..” Delores said looking to Iph as Iph looked up and nodded rapidly “y-yes sire it won’t happen again.. I am truly sorry.. I will be better” she softly spoke as. A smile grew on her face as he accepted her apology, Iphigenia would nod as a thanks.. as he’d look back and spoke about how Iph would clean his chambers “Yes sir I will.. thank you..” Delores said as she’d excuse the two heading towards the west wing “that was close.. you okay darling?” Delores asked looking at Iph who was shaken up “Y-yeah I’m fine.. I didn’t know he’d be .. that cold hearted, he startled me was all… I-I’ll go clean his chambers now” she spoke excusing herself to his room as she’d enter she began to make his bed and picked up any dirty clothes off the ground.. and tossed them into the basket, she’d then dust and mop.. humming quietly to herself as she cleaned not noticing he was standing by his bedroom door @Uepa (sorry for the delay!)

His stroll and calm were interrupted by a dumb thought. He couldn't stop going back to the new maid's smile and her soft voice. It was unfrequent that the prince found himself thinking about such mundane and superficial stuff. It was usually better occupied by matters of the kingdom that he himself would have to deal with in the future. Vondyvar decided to go back to her room to get a book and leave outside, but he found the source of his internal struggle, Iphigenia, already cleanings his chambers. He had to admit, she was doing a great job. Better than nost. Instead of keeping still on the door, he walked inside. Both arms in his back chest puffed and high, "Not a bad job. Not bad at all, Iphigenia."

it’s okay!! I’m never in any rush for responses Iphigenia jumped back startled hearing the princes voice as she’d pivot, placing her hand over her heart as it was racing “you scared me sire..” she spoke.. chuckling softly as she’d realize she forgot to curtesy to him. There was no time to be scared, as she’d immediately curtesy “T-thank you for the compliment Sire..” she said looking up at him, analyzing him from head to toe. He seemed to keep a proud posture, and a cold hearted look, as always is what she was told, but she found him.. slightly attractive? The way he looked and acted, like the “bad boy” you could never have, the one that ever girl fawns over as she’d look down “I should be done shortly I do still need to work on dusting the bookshelves and desk.. unless if you’d like me to come back later for that?” @Uepa

"Continue, please. Don't let my presence stop your work," the prince walked past her, patting her shoulder and taking a sit on his desk. Immediately, he began to work on the paperwork he had. He, however, would occasionally glance back to look at her. There was just something that had his curiosity simply at full interest. She was gorgeous, yes, but he had seen plenty of gorgeous in his life. Even more than her. Yet he thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. The irrationality of his thoughts was infuriating to him. How was it that the peasant girl was distracting him to that extent? Hkw was it that his duties were slowed down due to her presence? But he soon shaked it off, focusing on his tasks as best he could. "You will take the responsibilities of being my personal maid, understoof Iphigenia? You may help in duties around the palace, but your priority is me. I will notify Dolores of this," he nonchalantly said, still focused on his work. That position had been cursed. He only ever had one personal maid who took care of him since he was a child up to his late teens. And yet he offered it so freely.

Iph would nod… as he told her to continue , and not let his presence stop her, but frankly she felt anxious having him watch her. Everything she’s heard about him made her want to stray away from him.. as she’d nearly jumped out her skin feeling him pat her shoulder as he walked past her to sit on his desk. The red head would give a nervous smile as she’d nod subtly , acknowledging him as she’d continued to clean his chambers, she’d be across from him cleaning the other bookshelf, dusting and sweeping making sure it was spotless. Her eyes glancing at the many books he had, admiring them, he even had her favorite book, Romeo and Juliet as she’d smiled softly.. turning back to him as he spoke “Y-yes sir…” she said.. gulping, personal maid?! That was a huge responsibility.. and why her of all people.. she wanted to question him but she chose not too as she place her hands infront of her, walking closer to him, listening to him as he continued “understood…” she said curtseying, her heart racing as all she thought about was him saying her priority was him.. Iphigenia would walk away as he looked back to his paperwork, so fixated on it she’d slip out his room quietly as she finished, and headed towards the laundry area to begin doing his laundry. She’d sit down scrubbing the clothes on the board slowly.. taking her time as she was lost in thought.. why her? Why was he so keen on it too? What happens if she said no? What happens if she fucks up.. what if Delores disagreed with it..? as she ponder on her questions.. Delores would knock on the princes door “Sorry to bother sir but have you seen Iphigenia?” @Uepa
