It had been years since Willow had seen sterling. In all honestly, since she saw any of her high school friends. Willow was well known in school, she was popular with every crowd. She was brainy, both of them were. Both studying to be lawyers. She got into a top university, in Europe. There was no question that she was accepting the university offer and moving her life over to Europe at the age of 18. That was the last time that she see him. Her best friend, the boy she grew up with since the age of 1 when his parents moved in next to her childhood home. Both sets of parents still live there, and are still close friends. However there’s one thing that both families refuse to talk about. Their youngest kids, Sterling and Willow. Their mothers used to joke that one day they would grow up and have their own family. Which didn’t exactly happen… Sterling and Willow hated the idea of being together. Everyone always thought they were together, but they were just friends! Yes, they went to prom together but who else do you go with other than your best friend. Sterling had his friends and Willow had hers but ultimately the two groups mixed together because of how close Sterling and Willow were. Prom night was the last time Willow saw Sterling for a few years. They shared a sloppy drunken kiss and both hated it. So they thought. Until a few years had passed. They kept in contact throughout University, helping each other with their course. It was Willows fathers 50th birthday, 4 years ago. She flew back home to the small town to celebrate. Obviously Sterling was there and they got drunk at the party together. One thing led to another and the tension that had been building up between them came crashing together as they drunkly slept together. Waking up the next morning, Both of them shocked at what their drunk selfs did, agreed that they were just friends and not to speak about it. Willow had a boyfriend at the time, and felt terrible for cheating.

Agreeing not to talk about it, Willow headed back to her home in Europe. Finding out a few weeks later that she had fallen pregnant. The dates matching up to her time spent with Sterling. She decided that she would stay true to their promise and not tell anyone that it was Sterling’s, not even Sterling. Communication between the two friends faded into nothing other than a follow on social media. Something that neither do them we’re very active on. Heck, social media doesn’t even know about Luna. present day Willow decided to move back home to her home town, not telling anyone other than her parents, who adored the bones off their grandchild. She wanted Luna to be close to them, so when she was offered a job at one of the top law firms in town, she made the move back home. Renting a small apartment, big enough for the two of them. She spent all weekend unpacking before Monday rolled around and Luna started preschool. While she was at preschool, Willow nipped out to the shops to get a few things for the house. Being recognised in target not even in the door yet. It was Stacey, one of her old friends, her bestfriend apart from Sterling. Stacey and Willow caught up briefly, Willow mentioning how she had moved back with her daughter. Stacey’s face lit up, asking to see pictures of Willows world. Before Willows world was shattered surprisingly by Stacey’s next comment. “Do you remember Sterling? Well…ta-da! We’re together!” She announced. “Fuck why did that hurt so much” Willow thought to herself. Thankfully Stacey had to go, but willow now knew that Sterling was about to find out she was back. And that she had a daughter. Thankfully he wouldn’t have any idea that Luna was his. Not yet anyway…

Sterling had fallen apart from Willow as he realized that his feelings were pulling him away from his present life. After their one night together, he knew he had to pull his act together. At work he slowly climbed the ladder, and he even started seeing a girl, Stacy, he'd known from high school. They had some connection, though he dared not compare it to what he had with Willow. His relationship was satisfactory, simply something others expected from him. A great lawyer, with a good girlfriend, a good house and possibly kids in the future. When Stacy came home, mentioning Willow he tried not to freeze. He heard about some daughter that Willow had, so at least the girl had moved on too. He took a long cold shower, running his hands through his hair stressed. He hoped that Willow being back wouldn't affect his plans, and it'd simply be best to avoid her. The next day Sterling went to work, black sweats and a dark red shirt complimenting his hair as he arrived at his office. There was a new case. As Sterling looked over the case, his boss and a girl came in. He didn't even bother looking up. He could hear the heels and the sound of his boss's voice as he focused on the case until they began talking to Sterling. "Sterling, did you hear me? You're going to be working with Ms. Smart in this case." "Yeah I heard you, I'm just distracted with something right now..." His words trailed off when he looked up to see Willow. His breath hitched for a second and he glanced down at the case again. Willow was as beautiful as he'd remembered, but regardless of whether he knew, nothing would happen between the two. "Understand. Miss Smart, sit down. We can discuss the current case." He knew there wasn't much to talk about before. He was just to oversee her as she was new to the firm.

The next day, she got up and ready for work. Wearing a loose fitting dress and a blazer, walking into the office she met with the president before being shown were her partner was for her first case. Walking in she froze at the sight of him. fuck was the only thought she had. Hearing him call her Miss Smart as if he didn’t know her. Sitting down, the president left closing the door to the conference room behind him. “Sterling..” she just sat and looked at him. Feelings that she had lied to herself about came to surface, no. No. She couldn’t be having these feelings…they were Just Friends She felt a lump in her throat seeing him in this suit, in this office. The dream they shared of both becoming a lawyer had came true for both of them. She knew that she was staring at him. Luna looked like him in ways she hadn’t noticed. Thankfully it was little things that no one who didn’t know wouldn’t know. “Sorry? What was that?” @novarose0103

Sterling looked back up instantly when she said his name. He was hesitant and wanted to hold her once more, but that wasn't an option. He simply kept his eyes on her as she did to him. They'd grown so much since they were kids, becoming the people they wanted to be. And yet something felt like it was missing. When she didn't catch what he said, he scoffed and set the folder in front of her. "Get out of your head. This will be your first case. I'll oversee it. You can't fuck it up, otherwise I'll have to deal with it. Though I don't doubt such." His words were harsh, but he needed the feelings to go away and maybe, just maybe, if she stopped looking at him that way they would.

His harsh words hurt, but the willow that would of broken at them was gone. She had been through too much. “Sorry, I think we’ve misunderstood each other Mr West. You don’t oversee anything I do, and I don’t fuck it up.” At that moment a young fresh lawyer walked in. “You must be Erin, the 1st year lawyer that Mr West is overseeing.” She slide the folder over to him. Glaring at him “Would you like to give Erin the whole don’t fuck it up speech…cause your stuck with me being your equal on this case. For any case.” She opened the folder she already had, tabs and post-it notes everywhere. The shock could be seen on Erin’s face. Erin was a fresh lawyer right out of law school, whereas Willow had been hired in at the same level Sterling was. @novarose0103

Sterling tensed and looked at her. "You really let me make a fool of myself? Get out of my office Miss Smart. Remember that you're still new here. They know my skill." He growled and stood. "Leave." His voice was stern and demanding. This wasn't a great addition to seeing her and it definitely wasn't the right foot to get off on. At the end of the day, he knocked on the door of her new office. "Boss sent me here to tell you we're all going out to get drinks. Something about celebrating the new girls. Think they meant Erin." He scoffed and began to take off his tie before turning away. Even after a long day she looked beautiful. But that didn't change how she made him look like a fool and the lady waiting for him at home. He pulled a ring box out of his pocket and looked at it when James slapped his back. "Isn't it about damn time you propose to that little lady? She's so in love with you!" He tensed and glanced back to see if Willow was by them, locking eyes with her as he shoved the ring back in his pocket. "Yeah. I'm still trying to find the right time though, and things got messy." He shrugged and forced a smile. He couldn't wait to drink enough to forget it all. @Mrs Writes 💓

didn’t have to be told twice to leave his office. She left, going to her own office. Sitting down, she studied and sorted notes for a separate case she was on. She felt hurt that the way he had spoke to her first. Like she was nobody. She didn’t expect him to treat her like royalty but after everything they’ve been through she thought he would of been nicer. She was on the phone when he came to her office. She put it to her shoulder as he told her about the drinks. “Ok..” she finished her phone call before rolling her eyes and getting ready to leave. Walking past them, James asks if she’s coming with them for a few drinks. “No, sorry. I don’t think so” she didn’t take her eyes off Sterling. There’s something about those eyes.. Turning round she bumped right into the boss. “Oh sorry, Micheal.” She could hear a faint gasp at the first name she had called her boss. But he didn’t seem to mind. They began talking about this big case that was going to bring in a lot of attention for them. “I’m happy for you to be second chair Micheal. It would be nice to have you on my team.” @novarose0103

Sterling noticed her eyes on his and kept eye contact until she bumped into the boss. He tensed, waiting for the boss to go off on her for running into him and calling him by his first name. But when he didn't and they started laughing about the case and talking about it, Sterling's eyes focused on the boss. Was there something more he felt towards Willow? He huffed and kept walking, turning his attention away. He ignored the questioning gaze as James saw everything from his staring with Willow to his irritation with the boss. Sterling shook his head and left the building, heading out to the bar. That night he spent his time drinking as much as he needed to forget the night. He knew he had work the next day, but also knew it wouldn't be a heavy load. Sterling sat there fidgeting with the ring box. James warned him that he was going to call Stacy and so he put away the ring box and ran his hands through his hair. Sterling was positive about proposing until he heard that Willow would be back in town. Even then he thought he still could. But when she walked into his office, a simple yet somehow so beautiful dress on her, he felt like he was right back to when they were kids.

went back home, she loved her new routine of going back to her childhood home to pick up her daughter. Taking her home to their apartment, spending some time with her before the night time routine started. Once Luna was asleep, she brought out her old photo album. Looking through pictures of her and Sterling. The next morning, she got up and got Luna to preschool before heading into the office. Wearing casual dress trousers and a blouse. Sterling wasn’t there yet, she popped into his office. Placing his favourite coffee on his desk, with a note - “we got off on the wrong foot” She left and went to her own office. Sipping her coffee as she looked through notes. It wasn’t until a few minutes later she saw Sterling head for his office. @novarose0103

Sterling woke up a few minutes late, cursing as he rushed to get ready. When he arrived at the office, his black shirt was unbuttoned a bit more than normal, without a tie. He got into his office and saw the note and the coffee. The male hesitated before sipping his coffee and leaning against the wall. He sighed softly before he moved to her office and knocked on the door before leaving against it. "Thank you... For the pick-me-up. I needed it this morning, I had a rough night." He forced a smile. He sighed softly, the smile dropping. "I was shocked to see you back here. And you have a daughter? Stacy said she was gorgeous. That man must cherish you guys." He shrugged and glanced at the ground. "Just... Be safe. I have to get to work." @Mrs Writes 💓

She smiled softly at him. Allowing him to talk. As he left she whispered after him. “There is no man..” Throughout the rest of the morning she struggled to focus. When the lunch hour rolled round, she got up going to Sterling’s office. She knocked before going in. Placing a file on his desk. “Some new Evidence on that case…” she smiled, before sighing. “Sterling, I didn’t know how to reach out. We haven’t spoken in years and I honestly thought that I could move back here unnoticed. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.” She went to turn away. “There’s also no man. Just me and Luna.” She headed for the door, softly pushing it open. As she left his office, she was met by Micheal their boss. Who smiled at her before placing his hand on her lower back to move around her. Micheal went into sterling’s office - ”Willow beat me to it? Anyway, willow has pulled her name off the case that I gave to you and Erin. If you need another assist I can put James on it with you?” @novarose0103

Sterling ordered lunch and was eating sushi when Willow walked in. He wiped his mouth as he took the file and looked over it. "Interesting... This will help our case." When she sighed he paused and looked up at her. "It's... Okay. I promise. I know it's been weird since... Y'know. But maybe this is a new chance. We've both moved on. We've both created the life we've always wanted." He tensed as she spoke about no man. Who was taking care of them? When he saw the boss place his hand on her lower back he tensed and forced a smile at Micheal. "No, we'll be fine. I have it handled, and I'm sure Eric does too." He sighed and went back to the case. He moved to Erin's cubicle, the girl turning red as he spoke to her about the case. While Sterling noticed, he didn't care to mention it at all. Towards the end of the day he moved to Willow's office. While she wasn't in the office at the moment, he did see her coming back to it. Micheal was beside her, his arm around her waist. Sterling growled softly and stood. He hated the look of Micheal with his arms around Willow.

was walking back to her office, laughing at Micheal. “Right, okay! Yes I got it. Right bye, see you next week.” She smiled at Sterling, “Hey, are you looking for me?” She asked going into her office, getting her stuff sorted to go home. @novarose0103

Sterling tensed and looked over at her. "Yeah I... I was. I was going to see if I could buy dinner for you and your girl, but I think I should just head home." He paused at the door and looked at her, tense. "You know, I know that you're good at your job. But if that man is favoring you simply because he can't seem to keep his damn hands off of you? I don't know what I'll do to him." He turned and walked towards her. "I'm struggling to refrain. To not ruin the life I've built for myself. To not beat my boss's ass, or throw the engagement ring I bought out of the damn window." "I'm pretending this is the life I always wanted, but hardly is that the case. I wanted you, for years. You didn't feel the same so I tried to ignore it. I tried, and I dated a girl who I planned to marry. But never, never did I find the spark again that we had that night." He leaned closer to her pushing her against the wall. "I have tried forgetting you. I've tried to move on. So why the hell are you here now?" He leaned closer down to her, tense. She was so close to him, simply inches away. He slammed his fist into the wall before pushing off of it and turning away. @Mrs Writes 💓

She gasped as he back her against the wall. Her eyes never left his, her breathing was heavy. He was inches away, he would be able to feel her chest rise and fall. She flinched as he slammed his fist into the wall. “Oh…Sterling. Micheal is an old friend from Europe, he’s not favouriting me. If anything he’s kissing my ass because of the client I brought with me when I moved.” She sighed, straightening herself away from the wall. “I..I’m sorry I’m back. I had to do what was best for my daughter. I wanted her or have the childhood we had.” She played nervously with her bracelet. “And for you thinking that I never wanted you, after that night. Well I don’t think I ever got over you, but you said it yourself, the morning after. we’re just friends and my heart broke.” She sighed, getting her things as he left her office. She left shortly after, heading home. Her mother had something planned for them tomorrow but she couldn’t sleep from thinking about Sterling. @novarose0103

Sterling shook his head. He bit his lip and sighed softly. "Don't be sorry about being back here. Do what your daughter needs. I did what I needed to do that morning. I was already with Stacy. I couldn't break that for something that wouldn't have worked out." He shook his head and left. He went home and curled into bed. Stacy wrapped her arms around him and he tensed, spending the night thinking about Willow. The next day was the start of the weekend, so thankfully he wouldn't have to see her. And yet he did. When he woke up, Stacy was getting ready for a welcoming party for Willow. He groaned and tried to get out of it, saying he was tired and already spent enough time with her at work, but Stacy didn't seem to care as she pulled him out of bed. He sighed and got dressed in jeans, a white shirt and a black button up open over it. He messed with his hair and went to the kitchen where Stacy was cooking to bring food to the party. He leaned on her with a sigh and forced a smile. "Sorry baby, I'm just tired. Let's get going." He left and went next door to the party, tense. @Mrs Writes 💓

got up the next morning and rushed to get Luna ready. Her mother said to be at her house for 12pm. Showing up, in willow style, 10 minutes later. She pushed the door open to be greeted by old faces from her highschool years. Her eyes instantly found Sterling. Willow hated this sort of thing, he knew that. She was brought back to reality when Luna became frightened and clung to her. “It’s okay…It’s okay, mamas got you.” Holding her daughter she made her way round some faces, haven’t spoken to her mother about how she didn’t want this. At one point, Willow snuck out of the party and into the garden with Luna. Sitting on the wall watching her daughter play with her old climbing frame and Wendy house. She felt someone brush against her as they sat down next to her. Sterling. @Mrs Writes 💓

Sterling hesitated when he noticed the anxious look on her face. She greeted most people but snuck out the back. He chuckled and went back to follow her. As he sat beside her, he started at his feet. "She's cute. Your daughter. How... How old is she? Where's her dad?" @Mrs Writes 💓

smiled as she spoke about her daughter. “Thank you created her myself.” She joked. “She’s 4. She’s brilliant so she is. She loves to play dress up, and hair salons. She even likes to play the smelly game..” she smiled over at Sterling as she mentioned the made up game they made when they were younger. She had taught her daughter it. “Her dad…he’s not been around. He uh..he has his life sorted and I didn’t want to take that away from him. So he doesn’t know about Luna. Luna knows that it’s just me and her but that her dad would of loved her if I had told him…I just didn’t want to ruin his plans.” She too looked at the ground. Wiping a tear away from her face. @novarose0103

Sterling chuckled and nodded. When she mentioned the smelly game he laughed and nodded. Four. That was how long ago they slept together, with nine months added. He tensed and listened as she spoke about the father, looking closely at Luna. "Willow. She's old enough to be... Mine. Who is the father?" He noticed her wiping away a year and took her hand in his. "Hey it's ok..." @Mrs Writes 💓

She smiled up at him with tears rolling down her face. He had figured it out. “Sterling, you have your life together.. your going to be engaged soon. I’m sorry.” She pulled her hand away from him after a moment. She put her hand in her head pulling herself together. “I’m sorry I never told you. You said the night was a mistake, and as I understand where you were coming from.. that night gave me the thing to save me. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, but I didn’t want you dropping everything, loosing the one you love just because I choose to keep her.” She rambled before Luna came running over to her. Her deep dark eyes the same as sterling’s, her hair colour matched them both. The resemblance was there, now that it had been pointed out. “Mama, look pirate ship!” Luna pointed into Sterling’s mothers house at the private ship tree house they used to play in. “Oh my goodness! Maybe next time we can ask your mimi if she will take you in?” Willow was happy when around Luna, although she looked at Sterling with tears in her eyes. @novarose0103

Sterling tensed and bit his lip. He wanted to comfort the girl but also didn't quite know what to think. He looked at the girl and tensed as she ran over. "I don't love her. I wish I did. I haven't been in love since you." He sighed softly and when the girl got close he smiled and chuckled. "We'll absolutely let you go on the pirate ship later. We can play pirates." He forced a smile before the girl rushed away. Sterling looked at her and sighed softly. "You should have told me. Things would have been different... Better." He held her hand for a second before standing up. "I should go..." @Mrs Writes 💓

“Sterling, you wouldn’t be thinking of proposing if you didn’t love her.” She hugged Luna as she smiled up at him. Her smile was the perfect mixture of them both. As Sterling took her hand again, she relaxed slightly. His soft hand held hers so simply, yet it felt amazing. “Ster. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you, but I don’t want things to change now. Not until you’ve really thought about it.” She looked up at him. @novarose0103

Sighing, he shook his head. "Willow... I never wanted truly to marry her. I just... Thought it was the next step in life." He shook his head and waved at Luna. "Bye cutie! Be good to your mom." He paused, looking at Willow before leaving. He needed to leave before he said too much or before Stacy caught them. The next day his mother called him, asking if he wanted to join her and Willow for lunch with Luna. He declined, mentioning wanting rest for the day. Regardless, he went to the gym to work off some steam before he had to work the next day. Aside from that he simply looked over cases. Late that night he also looked over old photos of him with Willow and then looked at her social media, looking at the kid. That was his daughter. The thought still was unbelievable to him, but he knew she wasn't lying. @Mrs Writes 💓

The next day, Sterling mother begged willow to have lunch with her. She always loved kids and wanted to be a grandma. It was the worst thing she done. His mother spoke about how she couldn’t wait for Sterling to get married and have kids. But how it should of been her. The next day at work, Willow came in looking like a zombie. Her hair was thrown up in a bun, her nose and eyes were red. She had the basic makeup on. Willow went straight to her office and put her head on the desk. @novarose0103

The next day at work, Sterling walked in. His shirt was wrinkled, and his hair a bit messy, but otherwise he seemed fine. He got into his office and helped Erin a bit with her case. Eventually during lunch he ordered food and knocked on Willow's door. "Hey... I got us some food. Could we maybe talk about everything? I mean... It's a lot to take in." He bit his lip with a soft sigh and walked in. Sterling set the food on the counter and scratched his neck. "I know things will be weird but... I want to know her Willow. She's my daughter... I've always wanted kids." @Mrs Writes 💓

^Willow startled at his knock. Looking up from her desk she smiled softly. “Sure..” she sat upright. Fixing herself. She had had a long night. “I don’t want you to ruin things with Stacey.” She stood up, coming to sit beside him opposite her desk, it broke the imaginary power that people behind the desk hold. She laughed softly at herself… “why don’t you come over tonight? Luna is staying with Mimi- my mum, sorry habit. Anyway, she’s not in, but I have a box that I was going to give to her one day. We could go through it, it’s pictures and videos of her as a baby. And…letters to you.” She paused looking at him. “It’s stupid, I wrote you letters. Journal type entries. Since the moment I found out I was pregnant. So that if one day she wanted to know who her father was, or if you ever found out. Then you would have this.” She took his hand. Was it only her or did she feel something. She let it go, looking at him. “Sorry.” @novarose0103

Sterling looked at her. She looked tired and he felt bad at the thought of her not being able to sleep. He slowly shook his head. "Things with Stacy are weird." He bit his lip before nodding. "Sure... Though letters aren't going to make up for this Willow. I should have known my daughter. I should have been beside you." He ran his hands through his hair. "God Willow, I would have done anything to be beside you. We forced ourselves not to do anything for so damn long because we were scared. But for you, for Luna I wouldn't have been." "I wanted you Willow. I didn't care about this damn job or ever having a family unless it was you." He pulled his hand away from hers and placed it on her cheek. "I want you." And in a split second his lips came crashing onto hers, gripping her body close as if to not lose her again. @Mrs Writes 💓

The kiss took her by surprise, but she didn’t pull away. She leaned into it. Wrapping her arms around his shoulders. Thankful that she had closed her office blinds to Aid with the Migraine she was battling. Their kiss was the same as it was the night they had drunkly slept together. It was tender yet passionate. She hated herself what she was about to do next. “No” she mumbled, pushing him away. “We can’t. You can’t. It’s not fair on Stacey, on you.” She looked at him, “you are still welcome to come over tonight but you have to think about what you truly want. Because I can’t turn Luna’s life upside if your not sure. And I mean 100% sure.” She took her jacket and her bag, leaving the office at mid day. That night, she was wrapped up in fluffy lounge wear as she heard a knock on the door. She answered it, smiling at Sterling. “Hey” @novarose0103

Sterling held her close until she pushed him away. He hesitated but slowly nodded. He ran his hands through his hair stressed, before he left quickly. He didn't know what he wanted. He might not ever be able to be with Willow, even if they liked each other. But at the same time, he felt as though he'd regret the rest of his life if he didn't find out. Sterling came over that night, a forced smile and his hands in his pockets. "Hey... I just came to look at the pictures and letters, and then I'll be on my way." He scratched his head and pulled out a letter. "and I brought one to add for her..."

“You wrote her a letter” Willow teared up, turning her face away from him. She pointed towards the living room. “I’ve taken them all into the living room.” She followed him through. Sitting on the floor, she opened on of the boxes. “This is a scarp book I made of all my pregnancy pictures- you probably don’t want to see them. I should have ones of just the scan anyway.” She sat it to the side next to him. “There’s a lot sorry. So I have four albums. Im still working on the fourth one. One for every year of her life.” Willow fought back a yawn as she opened a second box “that’s the letters to you, there’s 9 from when I was pregnant. There the ones with your address on it. Then there’s probably about 20 other letters from when she was a newborn until we moved. Every milestone.” She looked at him. “Sorry. I can let you be alone..” she stood up. Heading for the door. @novarose0103

Sterling tensed as she teared up and turned away. Did it hurt that much? He hesitated before nodding, following. He looked at all the stuff she pulled out and shook his head. "Stay... Please." He began going through the boxes, starting with one of her pregnancy photos. He smiled softly as he saw photos of her belly growing and how she changed during the time too. He wished he could have been there with her. Next he opened the box of letters, taking them all out to look at one by one and placing his within the box before beginning to read. He was tense, his emotions hidden behind a wall as he read in silence. @Mrs Writes 💓

She did stay. Willow sat on the couch next to him, she looked through some of the photos from when she was younger. Willow had been fighting a migraine all day, plus hadn’t had much sleep the night before. She softly placed her head on his shoulder as he read. Drifting to sleep quickly. @novarose0103

When Willow fell asleep, Sterling moved to pull her closer, laying her head on his lap. He ran his fingers through her hair, continuing to read as he did. At one point he kissed her forehead before grabbing a blanket and wrapping it around her and picking her up. Sterling took her to her room, laying her on the bed with a smile before planning to head home.

Waking slightly as she was taken to bed, Willow moaned. “Stay.” She groaned out, pulling him down. Willow cuddled right into him. The next morning, she woke up looking up at him. “Shit!” She sat up, checking she still had clothes on. Sighing of relief. Willow got out of bed quietly, going to make him a smoothie. @novarose0103

Sterling tensed as she pulled him down and laid beside her, wrapping his arms around her and slowly falling asleep. There was a lot on his mind. The next morning he woke up at the sound of the blender in the kitchen. Sterling rubbed his eyes and stood up, walking into the kitchen slowly. "Morning. She turned, smiling at him. “Sorry, I didn’t realise. I didn’t mean to fall asleep. It’s just, I haven’t been sleeping because Luna hasn’t been feeling great plus, she likes to sleep next me and I -“ she stopped, pushing the smoothie closer to him. “Sorry. I’m rambling..” Willow leaned against the counter, “Did you manage to see some of the pictures?” She asked, meeting his eyes. Willows kitchen was a typical family kitchen, toys, drawings, multi coloured plastic cups and plates on the draining rack. @novarose0103

Sterling chuckled softly and shrugged. "I'm glad you finally got some sleep." He took the smoothie, taking a picture before nodding. "Yeah. Thank you, truly. I think I needed to see it all. I can't believe I missed her life for so long but... I don't want to miss more." @Mrs Writes 💓

Hearing that he didn’t want to miss anymore. She teared up. She turned away for him again “Only if your sure Sterling, I’m not- I’m not turning her life upside down for you not to be sure. What about Stacey? I don’t know how I feel about Luna having a step mother just now..” she turned around. Wiping her eyes before tucking her hands into her jeans. @novarose0103

Sterling sighed softly and ran his hands through his hair. "I need more time to think about that. I don't know just yet." He shrugged and noticed how she seemed to tear up. He wanted to comfort the girl but knew that he simply couldn't. @Mrs Writes 💓

She nodded, wiping her eyes one more time. “Then, I don’t want Luna to know that you are her daddy just yet.. not until your sure.” She started tidying up the mess she made making the smoothies. “Your going to be late for work..” Willow said “Won’t Stacey be worried about where you are?” Willow couldn’t hide the slight bitterness in her question, she didn’t like the fact that he was with someone but knew she couldn’t help it. @novarose0103

The male nodded and hesitated. "you're going to be late too. And she might, but I'll text her. I think she's a bit distracted anyway. We have a weekend getaway planned for next weekend." He sighed softly and shrugged before grabbing his keys. "I'm going to head out... I'll see you later." @Mrs Writes 💓

She shrugged her shoulders. “I’m off today” she replied. Walking him to the door, she hated herself for feeling a twinge of hurt when he mentioned his plans with his future fiancé. “Are you..are you going to ask her to marry you during this weekend away?” Willow questioned leaning against the door as he walked to his car. This was a scene she had imagined in her head, him going to work, her and their daughter waving as he went. She snapped out of it as he responded. Realising she was biting her lip. @novarose0103

Sterling nodded when she said she was off and looked up at him. He tensed and bit his lip. "I... I had planned to. But I don't intend to anymore. I don't feel as confident as I once did." He hesitated before taking her hand in his. "It'll be okay... We'll figure this out. But I do have to go." He knew she was anxious but also knew there was nothing he could do to help her.

*Willow waved as he drove away. Taking a deep breath as he left. Shortly after him leaving, she got ready to go pick up Luna. Getting a call from Micheal. Luna and Willow walked into the office building holding hands, as Micheal’s assistant came rushing to her. Handing her multiple files, talking at a pace of 100 miles per hour. “Okay, breathe Katie.” Willow said as Katie stopped talked. She popped her head into sterling’s office. “Hi, I need a favour…” she smiled before brining Luna into the room. Luna was slightly nervous, staying behind her mom. “Can she sit in here for 10 mins while I go sort out Michael’s screw up? Promise she will just sit and play with her toys.” Willow sat Luna on the couch within Sterling’s office, putting down her bag filled with toys. “She doesn’t know anything yet…please don’t tell her.” Willow whispered before leaning down kissing his cheek as a thank you. Luna was playing away, hearing Taylor swifts song ‘You belong to me’ which was Willow and Sterling’s song that they used to sing together. She got up, going over behind Sterling’s desk and turning it up, singing along to it. “This was my mummy and daddy’s favourite song..” she said looking at Sterling. @novarose0103

Sterling knew the girl was stressed about the future, but knew there was nothing he could do without disrupting his life. He got to work and was working on a few cases when Willow popped in. He raised an eyebrow, confused until he saw Luna. He tensed slightly. "Yeah of course..." When she mentioned the girl knew nothing he nodded and let her leave. He stared at the girl before she seemed to come over. Sterling chuckled softly and nodded. "Yeah? I know all the words to it too." Sterling wanted to hug the girl, to mess with her hair and to tell her everything but he knew he couldn't. "Do you want to dance to it?" He smiled softly and offered his hand to her. Having to nip into a meeting, willow was still wearing her jeans and a casual white T-shirt. After fixing the royal muck up, Willow headed back to his office. Hearing the music, she paused. Standing at the door watching them. Luna was usually shy, she had opened up so well to Sterling. Willow wiped away her tears that began flooding down her cheeks. Luna turned noticing her. “Mommy!” She ran to her, hugging her legs. Willow lifted her up. “Hi babygirl” she hugged her tightly, smiling back at Sterling. Luna told Willow all about the songs they danced too, how he liked the ones that she did. Willow smiled listening to her, before smiling at Sterling. “Thank you.” Willow said to him, “I will tell her tonight. If that’s okay?” @novarose0103
