William gave a small apologetic look as he began to turn on the lights. “Yes well, it doesn't make a good first impression when your boss is late to his own cafe now does it?” he chuckled softly, carefully going around the store, making sure everything was in its proper place. Once that was done he let out a heavy sigh as he shrugged off his coat, and exchanged it for his apron.
“I truly am sorry i was late this morning Paige, normally i am awake and in the shop by 4, i'm not sure why i slept in.” he admitted, carefully picking up another apron to hand to her. “This is your apron, if it is too big please let me know, and i can go ahead and order you another one.” he said giving her a small smile. The smile he wore looked drained and beyond tired, he looked as if he would fall over if a strong enough wind would push him over, but yet he looked happy to be there.
“Our first customer should be Miss Johnson, her normal order is strawberry oatmeal, with black tea. “ he told her, as he started to boil some water for the coffee pots. “She will take it easy on you i promise, she just likes to tease new faces, but she is for the most shes your friendly neighborhood granny.” he chuckled, carefully looking back up at her. “Are you sure you're up for the task? We can always train another day.” he offered, not wanting to admit he was nervous to have someone new in the shop. He just wanted things to go well, but he was a bit scared to let go of the rains and let someone else take hold.
“I-i should probably show you the office shouldn't i?” he asked as he took a deep breath. “That's in the back, um just leave the door unlocked, i highly doubt Miss Johnson will rob us.” he said with a small smile, carefully leading her towards the back room, that way they would be able to get into the office. “Please excuse the mess, i um…im not very organized.” he replied, carefully opening the office door, relieving an office full of papers scattered everywhere. Boxes and even a cot were pla
