Silas assured with a smile, his gaze shifting over his shoulder towards Tobias. His smile was soft, natural even. Despite the cold exterior he had presented the day before, it seemed that this kind of expression was one that he made too. Since he felt that he could be open with Tobias now, he was more comfortable and clearly had loosened up a bit, no longer trying to intimidate him. He took a deep breath, "My mother used to make them when I was a child." He smiled, "I have many years on her and yet I'm fairly sure hers were still better." He chuckled, admitting his own fault.
For a moment, he focused into cooking, whisking the flour and eggs until they were nice and in shape before pouring in both the water and the milk, stirring them in gently. He seemed entirely focused on what he was doing, not necessarily paying much attention to Tobias. After all, he assumed that he would be able to figure it out from having watched him cut the strawberries. He had just about finished with the batter before looking over his shoulder and noticing the way in which Tobias cut the banana. He paused, staring at it for a moment before bursting into laughter.
His laughter was soft and rich, having a silky tone to it that made it nice to hear. He gasped for air through his laughter and shook his head, "You're too cute." He shook his head, walking over and picking up the second banana. "You're meant to peel it first." He smiled, seeming far too amused with his simple mistake. "Sorry sorry. I shouldn't have assumed you knew..." He laughed, the sides of his mouth crinkling as he chuckled lightly. "Peel it first, then cut." He noted, unpeeling the banana before throwing the peel in the trash. He placed it down once more, leaning on the table as to watch him cut. "Go on." He urged, wanting to see how he did it.
