Aurelia glanced at him before looking to her father. "He can be taught," she said quietly. "Certain he cannot link with an ikran or any of our creatures, nor follow certain customs. At least not without being like us."
Her mother meandered over almost dreamily. "If Eywa would allow a change, we can abide by it. Should we make haste for the Vitraya Ramunong, we may speak with Eywa for what to do with him. If she believes he belongs with us we can offer the choice."
"No. I refuse to have a sky person amongst us. We follow uturu, yes, but no further must we help him," her father growled, baring his fangs slightly.
"There are other clans, father," Aurelia pointed out mildly. "The Omiticaya and Mangkwan. We need not to be the only ones to help him."
"He still wouldn't fit in even if the forest dwellers stick more tightly to uturu. No clan has ever brought Eywa into a discussion regarding a sky person to change."
"Maybe," her mother said with a nod of acknowledgment. "However, that is not your decision to make. You cannot make him change his fate nor can you run him out of the clan."
"I will teach him if Eywa allows him the change father," Aurelia said. "Let him breathe our air and learn our ways."
Her father grumbled something before he slammed his spear into the dirt. He gave the two female Na'vi a nod, but looked at Nick disdainfully. "Go then, at next eclipse and learn Eywa's will for this one."
