ROLEPLAY HQ - unlikely-friendship

Hizashi was anxious, after moving to Nashville for College he thought he had everything figured out, he was going to go to school to be a technical engineer, But he hadn’t expected the rent to be so expensive. He was a full time college student as well as a full time factory worker, when he wasn’t at work he was at the table working on school, and when he wasn’t working on school he was working. This cycle continued until he wasn’t able to keep up anymore, so he had to step out of his comfort zone and find some roommates. Thankfully Hizashi was able to find 3 people to move in pretty quickly, which both relieved and worried him at the same time. Relieved him, because now he didn’t have to pay rent alone and maybe, just maybe he could be able to eat something other then Ramen noodles. But it also worried him, strangers were going to be in his personal bubble, they could go through his things if they wanted. But he was just thinking of the worse case possible, he knew they probably wouldn’t go through his things. The day of everyone moving in, Hizashi sat in the living room looking at the coffee table , he had tried his best to be a good host, making snacks in case his new roommates were hungry, getting their favorite snacks they asked for . But even with these kind jesters he was terrified none of them were going to be happy and or satisfied with it. As the door bell rang , Hizashi froze. They were there. Taking a deep breath, he walked over to the door, trying to keep his shy and anxious self at bay as he prepared to open the door. ‘You got this Zashi, these are your roommates, they are kind, you got this.’ he told himself as he opened the door, preparing himself for who ever was past those doors. “Welcome, please come in.@ he said stepping aside, he was wide eyed as he looked at his roommates come into the house, he hoped all this would be a start of a possible friendship, but knowing his luck, probably not .

Annaliese made it up the steps to her new apartment with a huge box in hand, huffing and puffing on the landing and cursing herself for packing things so heavy. Her previous roommate situation had imploded in the blink of an eye after a heated argument about window coverings, and she'd been left without a place to stay. That is until she came across an ad in the apartment-sharing social media group from the school she'd just graduated from in December. Why was she still in the group? That wasn't the point. She'd messaged the poster immediately and offered to pay three months rent upfront. While that might seem reckless from the outside, she knew the building and neighborhood because she knew everything important there was to know about the city where she was born and raised. The guy had seemed nice over instant messenger. Hazashi, she recalled as she made her way down to apartment 311. He was short and to the point in his responses, but he'd answered all of her questions, and that was nice enough for Annaliese. A quiet, uninvolved roommate meant she didn't have to put on a show for anyone. Hopefully, it also meant that she wouldn't get into another big fight about curtains. She made it to the door and shifted the heavy box to one arm and knocked three times to the beat of the song playing in her head. It swung open before she could even step back. "Hizashi hi!" She greeted the guy from the messages with a chipper smile. "I'm Annaliese-...where is everyone else?"

From what she had been told, there would be two other people moving in, and by the time on her watch, she was super late and had expected the other two to have already arrived. "Don't tell me they ghosted us. Say it ain't so!" Annaliese pouted as she walked in and dumped her heavy box down by the refrigerator just to the right of the door. "Wait...if they dropped out, could I up my rent portion and take one of their rooms??"
