The helicopter ride to the building was quiet, and he barely moved the entire time. When he was brought in, he didn't struggle or show any sign of resistance.. And he could see what resisting would've brought, with the other vampire with some fight left in him..
"You still think you have a choice in the matter.. That's why you're chained." Xander plopped into his seat, clearly not even trying to fight. If he fought, they'd just tie him down like the other monster in the room.. and if he didn't resist, maybe he could just let this all be a terrible dream.. Doubtful.
While Xander didn't have anything better to do, he half-heartedly listened to the narration, head resting on his palm and his eyes half-lidded.. Why would that Asuna chick sympathize with a monster like him? Why would these people throw together this in-depth system instead of just offing monsters like him? Weren't they supposed to be the predators? But they were treated as livestock, animals to be tagged and monitored..
By the time it was all over, Xander just sighed and stood up, walking to the next room. As he stared at the blood bag, he could feel how his body reacted.. It was very similar to how he tore that man apart just a few hours earlier.. Just the thought of drinking blood made him gag, but he knew that there were people staring at him, and they likely had this bag drugged with ways to keep him weak.. Why else would they force them to drink it..?
Letting out a harsh sigh, he tore the bag open and drank all of it as quick as he could, doing his best not to let it hit his tongue, all so he didn't have to taste it. Then, he downed the pill and let its effects kick in.
When Xander awoke, he groaned, wondering where the hell he even was.. Sitting up, he rubbed his eyes and looked up. Right.. He was back in his apartment. The one in the shitty part of town, where people don't ask questions.. Sighing, he got up and went to the door.
