It had been years since he had even thought about leaving this town, opting to stay and work at the local lumberyards like his father before him. You were suppose to stay in the town until you were 90, raising kids and having them do the same and so on and so forth. However, this is not the life that he wanted, but seemed to be the life that he was moving quickly towards. He smiled at his phone for a second as he received the text message confirming the details of his meetup tonight. Something told him there was a reason they were being so secretive, but now they wouldn't give her the girls name, just a code word to give the hostess to have him seated at her table. It seems like they have arranged this from the ground up.
He walked down the street of the small town, looking at the abandoned shop windows and signs that read for rent or for sale. This town was dying in the limits, but everything outside of the town limits seemed to keep it a float. He let out a quick breath as he moved to the door of the restaurant. Letting out the nervous energy he was feeling, putting on the charming face that he had always knew. He smiled as he opened the door, being greeted by the hostess, "Hey, this is going to sound really dumb," he would admit with a small smirk, "But, my friends said to give you code word, "REDISCOVERED" and you would know what to do?"
The girl's face almost lit up in excitement as soon as he said the words, "I don't mind to tell you we have all been excited to see you, right this way," she would say as she would lead him through the crowd of tables towards the back of the restaurant in a small secluded area, he could not see the girl as she had her back to them, but she was stunning from behind, he didn't know what she was like in the front, but he was excited to find out...
"Hi, my name is Luca..."
