Being the center of a popular K-pop group really does have it's cons. That means the attention is mostly focused on that sole person and they get the most spotlight on stage and in interviews. It's not like Yu-Jun asked to be center, but he had won the vote 4 to 1.. It's not like this was anything new to him anyways.. He was pushed to become an idol by his parents and now pushed to be center by everyone else. Definitely wasn't the life he envisioned for himself... Because of his role as the main center of the group, he had gained soaring popularity amongst the fans. But it wasn't just because he was the center that drove his popularity, but his looks, choreography, and voice. It would get increasingly overwhelming when the group had to do fan meetups... Some of the fans could get very... touchy and possessive whenever they were in Yu-Jun's presence. One of the things he despised most about becoming an idol. The Obsession.. It was the end of their tour when Yu-Jun and the group were on their way back home to Korea. They flew on a plane for about 13 hours in first class. Which was probably the only time Yu-Jun was able to relax for once without fans squealing at every corner. Although, when they landed, it seems like someone had leaked their landing location online; causing fans to already be swarming the airport for their arrival. The squeals and screams of the fans caused him a throbbing headache as he walked out to be greeted with the sight of all of his adoring fans. Some held up signs stating how much they loved him or even signs that stated how much they... craved him. It was all too much for him that he ended up giving his luggage to one of his group members and bouncing. "Cover for me!" he called out as his figure retreated in the distance as he tried to escape the mass of fans. Even though he had a head start, the fans were quick to follow like hawks looking for their prey. "Over there!" one of the fans shouted as they spotted Yu-Jun just down the .....

.street. As he slipped past a crowd of bystanders, he slipped on a black hat and mask and discarded his sweater. Looking completely different as he did before to throw them off. Quickly he entered a café nearby and looked around. There in the corner of the café sat a woman alone, everyone else had someone else with them. So he walked over and pulled the empty chair back, pulling down his mask as he spoke; a small friendly smile on his face as he did so. "Hey, did you wait long? Sorry, I got held up back there." Pulling his mask back up, he took a seat and lowered his hat when a couple of fans entered the café. "I'm being followed... Please, play along." Yu-Jun whispered as he looked up at the woman almost begging her to help him out. The fans then started to explore the café, nearing where they sat. @sumilumia

Arisa Kendo BOT 03-Aug-23 11:24 AM
After a long night of studying and a very long day of classes, Arisa had practically dragged herself into the only cafe she ever visited in the area. NAKRANGPARA near the Hongdae Station. It was close enough to the stop she liked to take in and out of the city center for school, and the drinks were fantastic. She parked her bag at a spot in the corner and ordered her usual two grapefruit lemonades. They had some sort of caffeinated substance in them and that could keep her going until night fall. Why did she order two? Aside from being genuinely thirsty, a second drink signaled a second person coming which meant, strangers wouldn't sit and try to chat with her. Until today for who knows what reason. She looked up from her book when a strange man sat across from her, but before she could say anything, he spoke. Hey, did you wait long?...I'm being followed...play along. He looked desperate and Arisa immediately felt bad for him. She wasn't exactly lucky enough to not be followed either being a foreigner here for school. It sucked, and the least she could do was help someone else out. "Hey! Nope I wasn't waiting long at all. Our drinks just arrived." She flashed a cheery smile and pushed her second drink towards him as a group of obnoxious girls seemed to creep towards them.

A small sigh of relief escaped him when the woman decided to play along. He mouthed the words 'Thank you' when he pulled down the mask a little before quickly pulling it up when the fans approached. Taking the drink he was offered in his hands, he responded with a different voice than usual to mask his original one. "Sweet, you know just what I like. What would I do without you?" The fans inched closer but when they overheard the conversation and Yu-Jun's voice, they groaned and filed out of the café. Some of the customers in the café gave them strange looks for being weird and all up in their business, but they were ultimately glad they ended up leaving just as the store owner was about to say something. As Yu-Jun sighed and relaxed a bit in his seat, he looks up at the woman again and slid the drink she offered him back over to her. "Sorry about all that. I don't usually drag other people into my messes. Oh and thank you for playing along, here's your drink back." Now that the fans weren't in the café anymore, Yu-Yun fully removed his facemask but kept the hat on. "They're probably still outside, hope you don't mind if I stick around a little while longer until they're gone." There was a small sheepish smile on his face while he asked, leaning forward a bit to get a better look at who sat in front of him. @sumilumia

Arisa grimaced as the gaggle of fans retreated back outside. She could see them loitering around the entrance through the big glass windows at the front of the cafe. At least everyone else inside looked as uncomfortable as she did. Including the mystery man across the table from her. He was tall, slim, handsome. Light-colored hair with shaggy bangs that peaked down from the hat he was wearing. And he had a very sweet smile. One she was more than willing to return. While she hated being approached by strangers in general, this was a unique circumstance and it allowed her to drop her guard a little. Arisa pushed the drink back over to the stranger in offering, vibrant blue eyes kind and standing out against her rich skintone and lengthy, dark, wavy hair. "It's really good. Grapefruit lemonade. There's a hint of mint and some kind of shot of caffeine. Try it. And you can stay as long as you need for the crowd to die down. No worries." @enummi

Yu-Jun was definitely surprised by the fact she did not react at all to showing his face now. Did she not know him? Interesting.. This definitely intrigued him a lot more now as he leaned into his open palm. Just taking a glance at her, he could tell she was a foreigner right off the bat, but now that he's properly looking at her; she had unique features he was definitely not use to. That is compared to all the Korean women he sees on a daily. Her hair was well groomed and styled and what stood out were those blue highlights. They did bring out her eyes a bit more which were the feature he was most drawn to.. When she pushed the drink back over to him, officially offering it, Yu-Jun's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh? Are you sure? At least let me pay you back." He shuffled and took the wallet out of his back pocket before taking out a twenty dollar bill and placing it under one of the extra coasters on the table. "I really appreciate the help. It's the least I could do." Yu smiled again and fiddled with the straw before taking a sip finally. His eyes glimmered at the taste he had just experienced. "Wow.. This is actually really good. I already feel energized." A small chuckle escapes him before peeking over to the window and seeing his fans debate amongst each other. Before placing his gaze back over to the woman in front of him, he spoke. "So who do I have the pleasure of dragging into my business?" His eyes finally met hers as he gave her a teasing grin. It was solely to pass the time while the others dispersed. @sumilumia

Arisa watched this stranger analyze her features for a few moments, wondering if he knew how obvious he was being in staring at her. It's not like she wasn't used to that either. Her skin and eye color were an unusual combination, but genetics were weird and it was common in her family. Still, it was a little disconcerting to be stared at like this from so close up. Luckily, the guy switched gears and took the drink from her when she offered it, insisting upon paying her way too much money for it. Rather than refuse, because she didn't want to be rude, she left the money under the coaster and decided she'd leave it as a tip for whoever came to clean up their table after they'd gone. He took a sip and spoke of how good the drink was, something she already knew for a fact and made her smile a little in response for having made a good suggestion. But then he asked her name and she sat back cooly in her own chair. Why would he want to know her name when he was just using her as a decoy to shake off some obsessive girls? "Nobody important." She answered simply and turned the question back on him. "Unlike you apparently. You must be big news to have a group of people that large chasing you down the street. Where do they all know you from?"

Yu-Jun immediately chuckled at her dismissive tone and leaned back in genuine astonishment. "I would have been fine with a small white lie. Keeping up appearances and pass the time." Amused, he took another sip of the drink and looked up again when she turned the question back at him. A small grin plastered on his face as he coo'd. "You're interested?" Just then the fans circled around towards their window and he instantly turned his head to the side away from their view. Faking a cough to cover his face. 'God why are they still around? This is getting tiresome..' He thought, his expression cold and annoyed before straightening out when they left finally and plastering on his usual fan demeanor. "To be fair, I'm surprised you don't know who I am. Then again it is quite refreshing. So I'll leave you in the dark a bit longer." His voice held a teasing tone as he finished the last bit of his drink and swirled the straw through the leftover ice. The sound of the ice rattling against one another was strangely calming to him. Especially during times like these when he had to hide from obsessed fans. The atmosphere of the café was surprisingly calming. Enough to allow him to take a small breather for once. But he couldn't stay long, he knew eventually his manager will be calling any moment to yell at him for ditching everyone at the airport. Just as the commotion outside settled, Yu took one last glance around to make sure no one was outside and sighed heavily before standing up. "I really do appreciate the help and company. And I apologize for dragging you into something that you had no part in. It was a pleasure... 'Nobody important'." That was now currently her name for now until she is comfortable enough to give him her real name next time.. if there was one. But Yu gave her one last appreciative smile before pushing in his chair. @sumilumia

Arisa rolled her eyes but smiled anyway. A little white lie was more effort than she thought she should put into this aloof and teasing stranger she fully expected to never see again. Was she interested to know who he was or was she just making conversation to pass the time? The tornado of fans circled to the side and Arisa found herself glaring at a particular blonde in the front who gave ring-leader vibes until she huffed and led her mass of groupies away. When Arisa turned back to the stranger, he was also turning back to her after having feigned a cough to hide his face. "I hope you don't deal with this often, Mr. 'In the Dark'." She teased back and picked her drink back up for another sip as her unexpected guest spun his straw in his own glass, rattling the ice around. He seemed to calm as the drink swirled, and Arisa was at least glad for him for that. She was also fine to sit in silence while he settled, glancing up every so often to see if the mob was still outside. She noticed about the same time as he did that it was finally quiet outside and shook her head when her guest apologized. "No big deal. I'd cover for you again if you ever had a run in with that group and I was around. I'm glad I could help." She said and watched him stand up. "Stay safe out there stranger."

"Right back attcha." He hummed before shooting her a farewell salute with two fingers and pulling up his mask to exit the café. The bells chimed when he opened the doors, leaving a melodic sound as he finally left. The streets were finally calmed as it was now the evening, though the sun was still up. Maybe about 75% to the horizon before he made it back to his place where the other group members also lived in. Although he had a place of his own, it was on constant surveillance from his fans. Thankfully with the group, they were secured in one place and they wouldn't stay in one place for long. Upon entering the shared living space, Yu-Jun was instantly tackled by his group members. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? You know how worried we all were when you just up and ditched us all with those crazy fans?" They whined and Yu-Jun groaned heavily. "Get off me, I can't breathe-" But they refused to and clung to him more like whiny children. "We were also worried that your group of fans caught up to you and kidnapped you!" They looked up at him with teary eyes and one even rubbed his face into Yu's side. "I'm here now.. aren't I? So please, let me go. I need to sleep." He pushed the guys off of him and stomped off into his room, obviously annoyed from today's events. When he entered his room, he flopped onto his cushioned bed stomach first and dug his face into the pillow. 'This is such a pain..' - A week and a half had passed by since Yu-Jun returned back to Korea after his tour with the boys. Unfortunately, that week break wasn't enough to really let Yu simmer down and relax. He spent all that time writing a new song and writing down musical notes down on paper. This coming weekend they would be practicing the choreography for it that he created himself. Today, unfortunately, he received a text message from one of his group mates to hand deliver some paperwork he had left at their place to his college classroom. Begrudgingly he was the only one available to do so as .
18:49
.. the others also had class in different colleges. So he packed up the paperwork and dressed up in his normal disguise and left to this highly sought after college that his group mate attended. The sounds of people talking and squealing gave him the chills whenever he went out. Partially from thinking that he might get swarmed by fans if he was revealed. When he entered the classroom just as students were packing up to leave, he spotted his group mate who waved him over. "Oh hey Yu-! I mean BRO! Over here." Yu flinched when he almost revealed his true name out in the open, but walked over and wacked the top of his mate's head with the paperwork. "Can't you be more discreet about this? Jeez. I'm leaving before anyone notices." "Oh come on~ You just got here... It's not like you have anything better to do on your day off. but alright. Thanks for bringing this for me bro." The man stated as he rubbed the top of his head with a smile. "Later." With that, he tugged his hat to better cover his face and left the room. Other classmates of his were starting to crowd around his group mate asking who that was seeing as they knew he was an idol. Escaping just in time, he sighed and took a different route than normal. The campus was pretty big, he wasn't going to lie. In fact.. He might actually be lost now. Seeing as no one was around that he could see, he removed his hat and scratched his head. Confused by where to go. Feeling a little hot, he pulled down his mask and tilted his head up to the sky where the breeze brushed past his face and blew his hair. "I blame Eun for this." @sumilumia

Arisa yawned heavily as she finally walked out of her Legal Anthropology class. As much as she loved her major, this particular course was so boring, and she oftentimes struggled to stay awake for the entire lecture. The only way she'd found to manage it was sitting in the very front so that the embarrassment of potentially dozing off could work in her favor. She always drank a ton of ice water in that glass. She could hear the remainder of her liter bottle sloshing around in the outside pocket of her backpack as she made her way across the campus, headed for the law library she would sometimes sit in between classes on Tuesdays. Campus was quiet because her Legal Anthro class ended on the :20 instead of the :50 like most other classes this time of day. This was basically the only positive thing to come out of the class as far as she was concerned. As she crossed center field where students liked to lay in the grass and play frisbee or swing in hammocks, she noticed someone standing in the middle of the sidewalk looking lost. "New student?" She thought to herself as she approached him because she had to to get to the library. She didn't mind providing assistance really quick before heading on her way. "Do you need help finding something?" She asked as she came into speaking distance, hoping she didn't actually scare him since he hadn't noticed her yet.

Just as he was about to whip out his phone, he heard an airplane drone on above. Leaving a nice fine line of clouds in its wake as it flew across the sky. He had brought a hand up to shield his eyes from the sun when he followed the trail of the plane. And when it's sound dampened the further it went, Yu instantly flinched at the sound of someone speaking to him from behind. 'Fuck was it a fan?' Was the first thought that came to mind before slowly turning around with his hands now in his deep pockets. When his gaze lifted to meet who called out, his eyes flickered. It was the same woman from the time he came back to Korea, the one who helped him at the café. No one would be able to forget that rich skin color and light eyes of hers. They were just simply too distinct and unforgettable. "Oh! 'Nobody Important'! What a coincidence.. I wasn't expecting to see you again." He spoke with a slightly astonished tone as his gaze drifted over her. Fashionable too even when going to class? Interesting. "I'm just trying to find the exit after giving a friend of mine some paperwork but got lost on the way." As he explained, another breeze blew by. Shifting his shirt and hair in the direction it passed. "It feels like I'm relying on you a bit much as of late huh?" There was a joking tone in his voice as he rubbed the back of his neck uncomfortably. His gaze now floating off to the side and around his surroundings as he tried again to look for the proper way out of this large campus. "You don't mind helping me out one last time, do you? I promise I'll repay your kindness." Yu looked back at her again with a small and nervous smile. @sumilumia

"Wait, you're the guy from the coffee shop." To say she was surprised would have been an understatement. She definitely never expected to see him again after their weird run in a couple of weeks ago. Not that she hadn't thought about him since then. No, the smooth timbre of his voice and the way his eyes flashed back and forth between disinterest and curiosity had been on her mind since that day. And now, here he was again, the mystery man she'd managed to rescue from a crowd of rabid fans was standing in the middle of her school campus looking lost and out of place. "Small world. Never thought we'd cross paths again. I don't mind helping you at all though. No repayment necessary. Did you drive? Where'd you park?"

"The one and only-" Yu chuckled before crossing his arms. "Unless you're used to meeting guys at the café?" He teased, a smirk forming on his lips when he saw her surprised look. It was quite amusing to witness. But it is true he wasn't expecting to her here. And judging by her attire and knowledge of the campus, she must be a student or an intern. Yu perked up when she agreed to help out, so much so that if he had a tail, it would be wagging. "You don't mind? Thank you for helping me out once again." He clapped his hands together as if praying before peeking over at her. "I walked. I'm not allowed to have a car of my own." Due to being a famous idol, he wasn't exactly allowed to have his own vehicle. This was because fans could stalk him further if they had his license plate. So normally he is driven around by a driver and they would use different cars to avoid detection or identification. This was for his and his group member's own protection against their very troublesome fan group. "By the way, are you a student here too? Maybe an intern? gasp, are you a professor?" Yu merely jested at the last part, but it could potentially be possible that she could be a professor. But that would mean she would have graduated high school early and got her Masters at a young age. Either way, she seemed to have knowledge and that's what he'd need in order to leave this campus... safely at least. @sumilumia

The coffee shop guy seemed to be in a much better mood, Arisa thought to herself as he spoke and answered her questions. Not being chased by a mob of screaming mostly girls would do that though. Her brows raised curiously when he mentioned not being allowed to have a car. He was an adult right? She hadn't been sitting at a coffee shop talking with a very tall and mature looking teenager...right? But then he was asking her more questions and she focused for a moment to be able to answer them. "I'm a PhD student in anthropology here, but I do teach a 100 level gen-ed anthro class. Definitely not a professor. I'm more like...a teaching assistant with too much responsibility." Because she taught a full class but wasn't paid like she did by any means. Twas the plight of grad students everywhere. While she could certainly get into a long and animated conversation about her studies, a question still lingered in her mind. Coffee shop stranger wasn't allowed to have a car, and she wanted to know why. "Sorry-." She couldn't help but interrupt, starting with an apology over the fact but then continuing on with the reason. "You said you're not allowed to own a car? Why is that?" Could it be a legal thing? Too many DUIs or parking tickets? Or maybe he just didn't have a license? Was someone stopping him from owning a car?

Yu tried to focus on what Arisa was saying but she lost him at anthropology. "Sorry, I didn't understand any of that. But I did understand Teaching assistant. Sounds tough." He responded, trying to seem at least a little empathetic about it. Though who can blame him when he's never been to college and his sole focus in life was just becoming an idol? Yu tensed immediately when she asked about him not being allowed to have a car. His eyes flicking up to meet hers before rubbing his neck and looking away as if this was the hugest pain in the world to deal with. "No.. nothing of the sort. I'm sure you know about the girls who chased me yesterday?" He began and placed his cap back on. "I'm not allowed to have a car cause of stalkers like them." It wasn't completely a lie. But he would rather not delve too deeply into that considering she didn't know who he was. Clapping his hands together to distract the other, Yu spoke up. "Well, anyways— the exit?" He gave her a practiced smile but it immediately faded when he heard some laughter in the distance. Seems students were starting to walk to their next courses. "Please?" He added a little more desperately this time. @sumilumia

Arisa found herself frowning because it felt like she was being lied to. Not that it should have mattered to her considering she was talking to a twice-met stranger. He looked incredibly annoyed by her questions too, and the last thing she wanted to be perceived as was annoying. Being a foreigner in school here already afforded her plenty of weird looks just for simply existing. Arisa adjusted the straps on her backpack and was planning to simply point him in the right direction so that he could left alone and less annoyed when she saw his smile drop. It was a fake smile to begin with and she almost wished he'd just frown and be real. Again, he was a stranger though. A stranger who was now looking desperate as students started walk the campus, heading to other classes or to lunch with friends. Did this guy think everyone was a potential stalker? Arisa found that to be a pretty arrogant way of viewing one's self, but he did look like he was starting to panic. And his way out was through a growing crowd of students heading right their way. She might smack herself later, but she knew she had to help him now. She grabbed his wrist and tugged him off in the direction of the smallest crowd of people, planning to cut through the grass and dodge them too within fifty yards. "Come on, Si-woo!" She all but shouted the name she'd just made up for him. "The library awaits and you need the extra study time."

As the group of student walked closer, they could hear a bit of what they were talking about. Yu instinctively tugging on his hat and turning away so they would see him. "Did you remember your assignment this time? You know the Professor hates--" Their conversation was instantly cut off when Arisa grabbed Yu's wrist and dragged him away, shouting some random name he's never heard before. Yu was stunned as his eyes widened at what was happening in the moment. It almost felt like time slowed as he watched the woman in front of him lead him away from the group by his wrist. There was just something about this girl that he just couldn't put his finger on... What was it? They continued on their way until they finally slowed and got away from the group of students. It felt like Yu's heart was racing from the anxiety of getting caught but also from the strange warmth on his wrist.. "Si-woo huh?" Yu smirked and cocked his head to the side. Checking his watch on his other wrist, he noticed that he had rehearsals soon. But what was with this new name she had for him? It was kind of cute that she decided to play a role just to get him out of that situation. It was commendable and appreciated. "Thanks again by the way. You always manage to help me out when I'm in need." Yu started, pulling his wrist back whenever she let go and took out his pocket notebook to rip out a piece of paper after writing his number on it. "I want to return the favor someday. Call or text me whenever you think of it, but I should really start heading out.." He handed the piece of paper to Arisa before his phone started to ring. Answering it, there was a bit of yelling on the other side of the phone. "Yeah, Yeah.. I'm on my way there now. Quit bugging me about it." There were a couple more shouts before Yu hung up and rolled his eyes. The constant nagging was already annoying enough... "Randon name to hide your identity better." She explained and shrugged as he smirked and turned his head curiously. She still didn't know anything about his identity, but it seemed like a good way to get attention off of him...unless she'd somehow guessed his name right. She watched him take out a piece of paper and scribble on it before he handed it to her. His phone number. Did she have a reason to contact him? Not that she could think of. Not that she could think for long because his phone rang and screaming could be heard on the other end when he answered. Arisa frowned over how aggressive the voice was and how irritated her stranger looked, but she couldn't understand what was being said. "Someone is angry with you." She mused and gave his curious look from earlier back to him. "What's up with that?"

Little did Arisa know that he had written 'Yu' on the back of the piece of paper. It wasn't his whole name, but if she were to save his number (if she ever does), she would have a proper name to call him by. At least through the phone. In public would be a nightmare if others were around. "Well I appreciate it." He responded to her earlier response as he put the notebook back into his pocket along with his phone. "You're a rather curious one, aren't you?" Yu stepped closer to her with a teasing tone. He hadn't realized how much shorter she was than him until now— "but yeah, my boss got his panties in a bunch cause I'm a couple minutes late." Yu groaned just thinking back on the conversation. He was always late to rehearsals, his manager should know by now that Yu will come when he gets there. "Don't worry about it though. You got my number if you ever need my help. I gotta go." With that, Yu saluted a farewell before looking both ways and crossing the rest of the way out of the university. He made his way towards the studio and used the back entrance. As he entered the dance studio, he was met with his manager nagging him the moment he stepped in. Removing his hat, Yu rolled his eyes and listened to the manager nag and nag until he was finally let go to rehearse with his other group mates. The studio was spacious, mirrors that reached the ceiling and floor as well as each opposite wall. Behind them were windows into the hall that led to other rooms. They practiced their choreography for a while until they took a water break. Yu had a sleek shine to his skin from the sweat of dancing. Parts of his hair sticking to his forehead as he drank some water. @sumilumia

Arisa went about her day. She was actually heading to the library to return a book before taking the train out to the studio where she took a dance class for fitness and fun. As she walked out of the library after running her errand and chatting with a librarian she'd made friends with upon starting school here, she decided to pull out that little piece of paper her twice-met stranger had handed over. She knew that his phone number was on it, but she was a little surprised to turn it over and see a name scribbled down. "Yu...? Cool." She mumbled to herself and folded the piece of paper back up to stick into her bag. The trip to the studio was quick and Arisa kept her eyes down until she was in the room where her group met. They were working on the same dance choreography they had been for the past two sessions, and while she definitely knew the steps, each class was a major workout anyway. By the time they were halfway done, her water bottle was completely empty and she had to step out to re-fill. With all of the classes in session now too, Arisa was free to peek into the other rooms on her way to the water fountains to see what everyone else was working on. One group seemed to be taking a water break as well, and she could have sworn she recognized one of the men as the 'Yu' she kept running into, but she didn't want to be caught looking in if any of them came out for water, so she hurried along to the fountain just in case.
