Rosalyn BOT 19-Jun-23 09:30 AM
In the glow of twilight, when all is still and quiet and the only sound that is audible is the chirping of bugs and insects, a monster roams. A demon so powerful that stories are told for centuries about this beast. A vicious killer who feeds on the life force and blood of all living things; A vampire roams the woods. Moving with out nearly a sound, a young woman with ice white hair and piercing red eyes nearly glides across the wooded path. Her feet make no sound as she steps skillfully over sticks and rocks, her eyes scanning the woods for her next meal. Suddenly, she stops, her eyes locked on an unsuspecting deer that was grazing late in the evening. The deer was fat with its daily meal, and the woman licked her lower lip, hissing softly, her stomach aching for her feast. She stepped forward, and as she did, a stick cracked under her. The deer snapped its head up, its black eyes widened with fear. The woman heard the deer's heartbeat quicken, and in a dash of speed, it bolted deeper into the woods. The vampire let out a laugh and she tore off after it, her white hair flying behind her like clouds. Rosalyn was a young vampire at age fourt hundred and fifty. She was younger than many of the vampires in her area, but she didn't care. She wasn't someone who really liked others. She ran through the woods, chasing the deer. However, what she didn't expect, was a human male to be right in front of her as she ran after the deer. She crashed into the man, a hiss of pain and a yelp filling the air. She landed on the ground, a groan of pain leaving her. "Ahh, fuck. What the fuck?" She growled, looking up and seeing the man now underneath her. "You just cost me my dinner." She growled. Then, as she stared down at the man she smirked, sitting up and pinning his hands down by his head. "Maybe you'll just have to be my new dinner." @Vox, The Fool

He knew she was in this area, but he didn't expect her to knock him literally off his feet. His rifle landed far off into the undergrowth, his jacket wedged under his back. Surprise was all he had. Most vampires were entitled. Self absorbed. Thinking they were the strongest and best hunters... He didn't expect her to be so... diminutive. She had hands on his elbows just above his hair and he twisted down his arms to get hold of her. She was pulled down close suddenly and his head cracked into her closed teeth. Her head snapped back, her fangs bursting with pain. He pushed his weight and rolling her off, scrambling towards his rifle. He grabbed hold, spun, and put his back to the tree. The barrel trained on her head with surprising accuracy. Blood ran down his temple his eye swelling shut. His back wedged against the trunk, rifle in hand, Adam loaded the ball. He'd gave himself a concussion hitting her. Blood matted his hair against his temple. @The Hermit

All of a sudden, Rosalyn's nose and mouth exploded with pain. She screamed in pain and her hands flew to her face. She was thrown off and the man scrambled away from her. She held her mouth and glared, snarling with pain. "You'll pay for that..." She stood up and dusted her skirt off. Her nose was aching, but no blood was running down her face. She stared at him as he raised a large rifle at her. "How rude, aiming such a thing at a lady." She huffed. With inhuman speed, she rushed forward, appearing beside him. She pressed her finger to the edge of the gun where the hammer would fire. She blocked it, giggling softly. "Uh oh~" Rosalyn then jammed her elbow into his gut, trying to disarm or stun him. @Vox, The Fool

Her elbow smacked into the gun that he twisted to block, grabbing her face with a gloved hand. Small silver disks were sewed in the palm and fingers, pressing into her skin. He got a boot under him, able to use his weight to shove her back in the ground. He went for his belt, several silver and ash stakes tucked into the strap. He was terrified and it was apparent. His heart was racing and the blood down his face reeked of fear. He'd never fought one so damn fast. And she was stronger than him to the point he feared she'd crush his bones. Surprise was the only advantage he had on his side and that'd not last long. He was out of supplies and hungry, heading back for headquarters to restock and get new orders. The rain had waylayed him to the point he eventually just forded through it rather than waste more time. He'd hoped the rifle had paused her longer or made her back off despite the fact he only had two silvered ammunition. Her knee hit his chest in the fall and knocked out his breath, making him wince despite his attempts to not. He needed the money her corpse would bring. That could pad his pockets for nearly a year. @The Hermit

Rosalyn hissed as the man flailed against her. His hands had silver discs sewn in. She screamed in pain as the discs burned her skin and she shoved him away from her. Once she knocked his breath out, she grabbed the gun, attempting to wrench it from his hands. It was a vicious game of tug of war, but she knew she might lose. However, managed to pry the gun from his hands. She tossed the gun to the side and she rushed forward, pinning him, but keeping him enough at length that he couldn't head butt her again. "My my my... that was quite the adventure." She purred, her fangs shining in the moonlight. "I wonder how you taste... Are you salty? Sweet?" She leaned forward, just enough to inhale. She let out a soft moan. "Or bitter and hot?" She whispered, her eyes opening. As she met his gaze, she attempted to influence him, her eyes flashing to a bright red. While Rosalyn could not control people, she could influence them. Or at least, she could try. @Vox, The Fool

He tsked from between grit teeth, blood down the side of his face. Her eyes were pits he was falling down and he wrenched his gaze away, trying to get his feet against the ground. His ears were ringing so loud he could barely hear what in hell she was saying, Damn it. Damn it... He was too tired. Every press he did up to get free she easily shut down. Panting breath stinging his chest, he felt himself floating off. So tired... He went quiet under her, arms slack under her hands. He had silver sewn into the collar of his shirt and into his gloves. Ash stakes tipped with silver were tucked into his belt and multiple protective necklaces coiled about his neck, collar, and vest beneath his coat. His hands were slack, eyes tainted from discomfort and pain. "I dont.... know." Was all he could get to fall from his numb mouth. @The Hermit

Rosalyn smirked as he seemed to fall limp in her arms. She noticed all the silver lining his clothes and she sneered slightly. "Someone came prepared... Interesting. Seems you were expecting me?" She asked, reaching forward and brushing some hair from his face. She perched herself on his lap, her other hand holding his wrist to the ground still. He looked to be in pain, and Rosalyn felt her chest tighten. She didn't want to torture people. She wasn't that kind of woman... "Ahh, Jeeze." She muttered. "It's no fun if you die and are in agony the entire time. That's so boring." What she meant was, it hurt too much to watch. She grabbed his face and she let her eyes flash again. "I am going to heal you, but you are not going to kill me. You'll thank me, instead." She smirked. She then bit down on her lower lip, her two sharp fangs easily piercing the skin. She hissed slightly, and then, she leaned down and kissed the man. She pressed her lower lip into his mouth, forcing him to taste the blood. Vampire blood was known to have healing properties, not venom like most people believed. Drinking a small amount was easily the best healing potion someone could drink. She pulled back, her hand still holding his wrist. She reached for his free hand and she pulled it up, kissing his hand. "Now, how's about that thank you gift?" She cooed, her eyes flashing again. @Vox, The Fool

He sucked in a breath as his cracked ribs healed, letting him fully breathe. Grimacing when she pulled back he coughed in disgust turning away twisting under her hand. "What the fuck?!" He snapped yanking his hand out of her grip. "Get off me." His now free hand tucked over his ribs, mildly stunned. They had no reports of what vampires blood could do.... He'd fallen a day and a half before and landed badly, snapping two of his ribs. He tenderly massaged his side, refusing to take his eyes off her for a second. He didn't know what was up with this one but he wasn't about to trust for a second. @The Hermit

Rosalyn did not get up, but she let his hand go. She smirked as she watched him, giggling softly. “Surprised? My blood can heal you humans. Isn’t that sweet?” She still had one firm grip on his other wrist. “I think you should be a little nicer. After all, I didn’t heal all of your injuries. I can also rebreak all of those ribs.” She smirked as she leaned forward again. “So, what’ll it be? Will you give me what I want? Or should I break every bone in your body and leave you here for the bears? They get hungry pretty quickly. It won’t take long for one to find you.” She purred. She licked her lower lip, the puncture wounds gone instantly. @Vox, The Fool

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Was all he could really think of to say, confused by her odd behavior. He didn't understand what her motive was at all. He'd never had a vampire talk to him longer than a few words, nor had he expected her to so easily overpower him. New things he supposed. He wedged his boots into the ground, having at least stopped trying to get her off his waist. "I have no damn idea what you're talking about making deals. I didn't ask you to heal me." His lip twitched, teeth meshed in a grimace of discomforted anxiety. She's mentally cooked... definitely.... He decided, debating how to go about it. If he went for a weapon or his gloves she could just snap on him and his throat was far too open for his liking. Either her teeth or a punch could kill him. @The Hermit

Rosalyn chuckled as he questioned her. "A lot," She replied. She leaned forward, her hips pressing into his. She looked into his eyes as she cooed softly. "I know. But I didn't ask for you to attack me, either. So, all's fair in love and war, right?" She used her free hand to brush the tussled black hair from his face. He was so angry, but something about this rugged man just made her smile. "How about you entertain my deal? A reward for healing you, and you get your life. What could be better than that?" She teased. Her eyes flashed again as she sat up, putting pressure on his hips. She hummed softly. "It's been so long since I've had some sweetness from a human man. Have you ever been with one of my kind?" @Vox, The Fool

"I'd rather a dog." He spit angrily leaning away from being touched. He wasn't about to just agree with her even if he had no choice but to agree. Her touch in his hair made him flinch, head aching even with the healing. Her influence was grating on his mind. His head lolled aside, blinking softly, trying to organize his thoughts. If he agreed to her, he'd have to risk her killing him. Or she'd be honest with the deal and leave him free. "Let go." He murmured softly, holding onto his head, feeling nauseous. "You're making me sick." @The Hermit

Rosalyn laughed softly as he tried to insult her. She simply shrugged his insults off. She continued to grind her hips ever so slightly against him, though her movements were more like shifting rather than grinding. She followed his movements and her fingers stayed on him, brushing the hair away again. "I'll let you go once you reward me for healing you. If you truly refuse to do so, I can always just drain you dry. It makes no difference to me. Though, it's always more fun to make a deal. My word is absolute, so you will face no harm if you reward me. If you refuse... well, then I'll keep my promise." She smirked. Rosalyn was a woman of her word, and if he rewarded her, then she'd let him live. Would she leave him be entirely? Never~ @Vox, The Fool

He visibly debated, balancing the will to live with personal pride. What's the point of pride... he tsked gritting his teeth. "Fine." Adam basically spit the word in her face, her weight on his gut making his stomach ache. "But you keep your damn claws out of my organs." What the fuck am I doing... he shut his eyes thumping his head back in the dirt. "Where are we going unless we're sitting in the mud for the rest of the night." He crossed his arms face starting to hurt from holding the glare. He had few reasons to actually live. No family nor partner. Eh.... he'll get over it. He decided thinking of people waiting on him. They wouldn't find him if he ever disappeared..... @The Hermit

Finally, he agreed. She chuckled and she slowly got up from the ground, releasing him. "Wherever you wish. I assume you must have somewhere you enjoy going when you reward a lady." She cooed. "I won't force you to take me to your home. At least not yet." She smirked. She wasn't completely insane, despite her desire for affection from an obvious vampire killer. Rosalyn was just a lonely vampire who wanted some attention. It had been at least a hundred years since she had been given attention and she was starting to crave it. Besides, what was better than affection that was earned? "So, my rewarding friend, where are you going to reward me?" She smirked. @Vox, The Fool

He quickly backed from her to give some space, straightening his clothes despite the mud staining his fabric and his overall looking like hell. "You have to have some space or.... whatever word you want to use. Lair. Mausoleum." He crossed his arms tightly teeth grit. I have to be nuts to even be suggesting this. "I've been traveling. I don't live anywhere around here." He clarified and he tried to not make it sound like he was alone. Which he was. He'd come to the area looking for a lost hunter and had foolishly come alone thinking it'd be fine. "And if you don't then I guess here." His chin raised in stubborn defiance, curious of her motives. If she'd just wanted food she'd have struck when he was downed. He carefully checked his belt and noted she'd not taken his knife nor his stakes.... He slapped a lazy smile across his face and gently approached, lifting her chin in his fingers. He was careful to not touch her with the silver discs on his gloves. "Besides the sun is coming soon." He whispered softly, leaned close enough She could smell he chewed mint. He liked the taste to relax... @The Hermit

Rosalyn laughed at his ideas. "You'll be surprised by where I'm actually staying." She took his hand in hers, "Follow me." She cooed, tugging him along. She knew the sun was coming, so she had to get back soon. She didn't need sleep, but staying in the sun wasn't going to be good. While she wouldn't die instantly in the sun, she would burn quickly and within at least an hour or two, she would die. The walk to her home wasn't long, and they soon came up to an old hunter's cabin. The windows had been boarded up and while it looked abandoned, it had been tidied up a bit. The table was neat and clean and the bed was made with clean linens. There were a few candles lit and set around to give light into the room. "Welcome to my home." She said softly. She brought him inside and she shut the door, locking it with several different locks. There was no way anyone was getting in. She turned back to the man and smirked. "Make yourself comfortable."

He spun lightly as he looked about, fingers idly running over the handle of his knife. He kept imagining it in his head. Planning. Debating. He had one chance to do it and do it correctly.... He held back his disgust and gently wrapped an arm about her waist, pulling her back to his chest. "Homey." He chuckled softly pressing a kiss to her throat gently, palm over her neck. If she had a pulse he had to destroy her heart.... She'd made few moves to be actually aggressive towards him and it threw him off. He didn't like killing them. Seeing something in pain even if they were the monsters.... He wrapped his free hand about the handle of his knife, ready to protect himself. And to bring her peace.... @The Hermit

Rosalyn was honestly a bit surprised as his arm came around her hips and his lips to her throat. She gasped quietly, pale hands going to rest on his chest. Now, this was probably her own fault. Yes, she had asked for a reward, and yes, she had hoped for this, but, something about being pulled and kissed at like this was just very intense all of a sudden. But, she kept her cool and she tilted her neck to give him better access. A soft breathy sigh left her throat as she backed up until they hit the bed. She landed on her back, white hair splayed across the bedding and her torso and hips on the mattress. She brushed her fingers against his hair and she leaned up and pressed a kiss to the side of his jaw. She knew his hand was on his knife. She only assumed it was for protection, nothing more. That was probably her biggest mistake. @Vox, The Fool

He let go, backing up slightly and dropping his face to his palm. I hate this shit... he sighed softly pushing his knife fully back into his belt. Spinning back for the door he silently unlocked several of the chains on the door. "I'd make yourself lost. Take this chance to flee." He said softly resting a hand on the door. He knew this was a bad idea but he couldn't do it. For once... "I'm required to tell where I've been. I refuse to lie for you. So flee." He said softly pushing the door as he talked, clearly going to leave. @The Hermit

Rosalyn frowned as she sat up on the bed. This was such a pain in the ass. “I’m not afraid of you humans. You’re always trying to kill me, and I haven’t even done anything! The worst thing I ever did was kill a cow or goat when I was starving!” She said, frowning. “Your kind are the real monsters. You butcher and kill my kind without any hesitation, even if some of us are good. How is that fair?” She spat, tears welling up in her eyes. Angry, and beyond upset at being made out to be a monster, she approached the man. “I could have killed you. Easily. Without any difficulty. And yet, here you are. Alive and breathing.” She stared at him. “…You promised, by the way. If I spared you… I guess humans really are nothing but liars and monsters.” She muttered bitterly. Rosalyn was frustrated. All she had wanted was a nice feeling for once. All humans ever did to her was hurt her, and apparently now it seemed no different. @Vox, The Fool

"Are you done?" He raised an eyebrow back thumped into the door. "I'm on a quota. If I don't work, they'll kill my brother. I don't give a shit about what I'm killing. I'll hunt men. I'll hunt vampires. Shove off." He snapped back in her face, "Killing me would be a favor by this point." He tsked, arms crossed. "Go find a brat to fuck. There's 9,000 in every damn village. I'm on a fuckin time limit." He kept his face and throat out of the way of her, ready to move if he needed to. He was fine being the liar. The cheat. It was his fucking job."If your that pissy about it, let me get my brother to a safer place and I'll come back then." He grit his teeth, restraining the rage that boiled in his stomach.

Rosalyn glared at him as he spat back at her. “Some gentleman.” She muttered. “Your brother needs a safe place? Why not here then?” She said, looking around. “No one has found this place since I came here years ago. Anyone that does… just assumes it’s abandoned and leaves. Besides, it’s in the middle of no where.” She understood needing to protect people, especially siblings. She didn’t have any, but she knew that people who did were fiercely protective of them. It was something she admired and kind of wished she had been able to have herself. “I can help protect your brother. If I give you my word then I am bound to that. If I break it, I die. It’s as simple as that.” She said, staring at him. @Vox, The Fool

"He doesn't know me. He'd not agree to this." He shook his head gently, grip on his arm tight. "And I can't just stroll in and take him." He looked away annoyed. He didn't trust her at all for this... "If they even catch a whisper I'm breaking rules they'll kill him and.... I can't. So." He let out a sigh of frustration, visibly tired. He'd been bottling for so long and he'd not expected it to be let out here. Least of all with something he was supposed to be killing. Rosalyn acknowledged that he was right. "Ah. Well, that's definitely difficult." She chuckled as he said that a broken down cabin wasn't a good place to hide. "It is if you know how to use one." She kicked a large rug corner and the slightest view of a trap door was visible. "Know how to hide, and any place is possible to be a hide out." She hesitantly walked over and she put a gentle hand on his shoulder. "I can give you my word to help you. I understand the bond between siblings. If you promise to spare my life, I'll give you my word to help you get your brother back and to a safe hide out." She didn't want him to think that she was lying. But, she understood he most likely wouldn't trust her. That was fine. She didn't need him to trust her immediately. She had to earn that, obviously. @Vox, The Fool

@Rosalyn (@The Hermit) - jump He moved faster than shed expected, soft smile going to a wild grin. His knife went through the base of her throat, pressing in to the hilt, slicing through her voice. The blade went down to the mattress before he stopped. His palms pressed down on the hilt, weight keeping her dug to the bed. "You really are an idiot. I suppose you think yourself virtuous? Good?" He twisted in the silver blade and grabbed her inevitably flailing arms, pressing them to the blankets tucked under his knees. "Do you think I care? For your self perceived virtue? Your imagined perfection?" He leaned pressing his forehead to hers, eyes shaking in his skull as if vibrating in an earthquake. "I dislike your kind just as much as my own. I'd kill them all." He bared his teeth in a half grin, a wild change from before. He'd gone from calm to trembling. She'd seen her own kind in bloodlust and he was a man of the same coin. Blood. All I can smell is blood. He bared his teeth, huffing breaths through them. Do it. Kill it. Kill it. he tightened his grip on the hilt, yanking it free and holding it above his head. "Your death will pay for my tools, so die easy for me will you?"
