Princess Ambrosia Castillo. Everyone in the kingdom knew her name, some grew to hate it whilst other grew to fear of love it. She was the only child of the king and queen, and she was used to getting her way all the time. Ambrosia was a beautiful princess, with long black hair, bright blue eyes, and a smile that could light up the room. But despite her beauty, she had a reputation for being selfish and demanding. When she was younger there was an attempted kidnap on her which caused the king and queen take take action on protecting her daughter. They decided to assign a Knight to protect her. Ambrosia was not thrilled about this news. In fact she through a whole fit about it. As she’d slam the doors to her chamber huffing.. awaiting to meet her knight* @nova.rose.

The male moved into the Royal hall, no emotion on his face. As he was escorted into the Princesses chamber, he bowed before rising to look at her. The beautiful lady seemed upset at his arrival, but that wouldn't change his assignment in the slightest. "Your highness, I'll be the knight attending you from now on, Sir Nikolai." "The King and Queen have given me the schedule for your days, and I will accompany you throughout. However, I will not interfere unless necessary. I simply hope to protect you, Princess."

Ambrosia would pivot slowly to face her knight— her face flushed immediately red. Oh wow he was handsome, as Ambrosia would clear her throat and approach her knight “Nikolai you say” she’d scoff as she’d folded her arms “I know who you are, you been with my family for what seems like decades” she spoke with venom eyeing him up and down and then sighed in defeat hearing that he already had her schedule “Great.. fine! As long as you promise not to interfere” she’d walk past him bumping into him purposefully as she’d walk to her wardrobe and opening it, looking at her dress options “As you know I am a very busy women. I have a lot of etiquette training to do because my parents want me to be noble, and find a good suitor for me” she’d mumble a bit annoyed at it “even though I keep telling them I don’t want to be married to Prince William, they seem to have different plans for me” she’d grumble as she’d pink out a red dress for herself looking at it “Why did they even assign me a knight I don’t understand I don’t need your protection! Nikolai noticed her face turn red and tried to contain his smirk. Her voice was harsh, but her eyes still seemed to scan him. He couldn't help but wonder if it was in search of weakness, or simply wanting to see how he looked. When she bumped into him he didn't move in the slightest. "You can't scare me with your attitude. Trying to bump into me? It's pathetic really. I was sent here because they knew you needed the protection. After all, it seems your entitlement will get you into dangerous situations." He crossed his arms and turned away as she started looking in the closet. "You have a responsibility to your kingdom, one you must fulfill. I will be at your side to help you do such, but that also means I won't let you walk over me, try as you might. So I suggest you stop complaining, and hurry up. Amber would run her tongue along her teeth. This dog does bite. Interesting as she’d scoff slightly rolling her eyes “yes yes I’m aware to why you were sent I just don’t like it” Shed say as she’d walked back to her bed holding the red dress and laying it on her bed “I like your optimism Nikolai, I hope I can diminish it soon” she’d retort as she’d walk off to her bathroom to change into her dress as she’d semi shout due to the door being closed “I’m hurrying I’m hurrying” as 5 minutes passed she’d step out wearing a flowy dress, tightening the strings on her back as her breasts perked up sitting nicely as she’d then grab her tiara off her desk and put it on her head “How do I look?” she’d ask in a genuine tone fixing up the little wrinkles of her dress and straighten it, pulling it down and whatnot to make sure it was perfect as she began to walk to her door, and open it looking back to her knight “Well.. are you coming?” @nova.rose.

The knight shook his head slightly. The little princess seemed exactly as people said she was, but it didn't scare him in the slightest. He hesitated as she walked out. She was gorgeous. "Come here." He moved closer to her and leaned down. He hesitated before messing with her tiara. He straightened it out before stepping back. "There. Let's go Princess." He emphasized her title almost as though it was an insult. He walked behind her as they headed to where they needed to be. "Have you met your prince yet? Perhaps you'll like him. The marriage could be a good one." Niko hardly knew what to say to the girl. He had seen many people go through bad marriages and he hoped differently for the Princess. Ambrosias face flushed a light pink as he’d approach her and leaned down, fixing up her tiara for her, she felt butterflies in her stomach as she watch him carefully and yet in awe. As he stepped back Ambrosia would clear her throat “Thank you..” she say quietly hearing him call her princess made Ambrosia fully blush, despite it sounding like an insult something about the tone in his voice made her quiver, as they walked down the hall and towards the ballroom where she had dance practice “No, I haven’t met my prince yet.. my parents talk highly of Prince Williams infact im supposed to go meet him in a week, but before that they want me to brush up on my skills.. like dancing, talking and tea sipping with the pinky” she’d chuckle mimicking sipping tea with her pinky up “I honestly don’t want to know if I want to marry him, he’s more entitled than me and that’s coming from me .. plus I heard from the other kingdoms he’s abusive..” she’d spoke lowly as they would approach the ballroom, as she’d open the door revealing the beautiful lit room with dim lights and a glossy white floor expecting her instructor to be there when she entered, but he wasn’t as Ambrosia would sigh “He’s late.. like always” amber said looking back to Nikolai “what about you. Have you found someone you want to marry..” she’d ask curiously figuring she would get to know him while she waited for her instructor to arrive..

The knight noticed how her face turned slightly pink, and his words seemed to simply make it darken. A slight smirk laid on his lips, but he didn't plan to speak on it just yet. "I expected a princess to be raised with such lessons, so I hardly see why they would emphasize it now, though the kingdom's reputation is in your hands." He shrugged before listening to the next words she said. "If he is as you say, then your parents will be informed. He will not lay a hand on you Princess. Your safety is my responsibility." His voice and face darkened slightly at the thought of the foreign prince doing anything to hurt her. Nikolai snapped out of his thoughts when she spoke again, looking at her. "I... No. At one point I believed I did, but the situations changed. Now I'm simply waiting to meet the one." He shrugged and glanced away. "Have you ever fallen in love Princess?"

Ambrosia would be adjusting her dress as he spoke and then looked up at him, gently folding her arms “My parents don’t know. No matter how many times I tell them they don’t care what tales the kingdoms say about him.. my parents met him awhile back and deem him sweet.. and ever since have brushed off any allegations towards the prince” shed scoff as she looked up at him about to speak as but interrupted as the instructor came in, an woman that looked to be a couple years older than Ambrosia, her name was Edith “Sorry about that princess” Edith spoke as she’d set her stuff down “I got caught up with a meeting..” she say as she finally looked up curtsying to the princess before looking to Nikolai approaching him, as she’d place her hand on his chest “And who is this lovely man~” she’d purr looking at Nikolai in awe Amberoisa stared in hate as she burst out “ENOUGH” As she’d grab Edith and pry her off Nikolai “Right right.. we will continue our little interaction later” shed wink at Nikolai as she began to play the music on the small radio as she’d grab Ambrosias hand and began to show her the ways, brushing up on hand placements. Ambrosia was a pro having have done this since she was 10, as Edith would continue to gaze every now and then towards Nikolai “Will you stop looking at my knight like that” Amber hiss quietly to her as she’d squeezed her hand tightly making Edith gasp slightly and look towards her “apologizes princess.. he’s just so handsome..” Edith spoke as she’d twirl Ambrosia, and pulled her back “And what of it.. I don’t like you staring at him like that” she spoke with venom, getting jealous as Edith would smirk “don’t tell me your jealous princess.. afterall you are bound to marry prince Williams..” As Amber would stop the dance pushing Edith away from her “I have had enough of this..” she’d cross her arms glaring to Nikolai “You. Other than my instructor!” she’d boast as she walked over to Nikolai and grabbed his arm pulling him into the dance floor, as she’d hold his hands and began a simple ballroom dance, moving around and keeping him close to her as she kept her eyes on Edith staring daggers, as Edith would simply remain calm and be counting her steps out loud @nova.rose.

Nikolai tensed and listened to her about her parents. "Princess. I assure you that with me at your side he won't be able to do anything. Hopefully my reputation with the family won't cost me my job if anything happens to him. But you don't need to worry in the slightest." Niko tensed as the woman came close to him. Her flirty behavior was amusing to say the least. He chuckled softly and shook his head. He glanced at the princess as she pulled her instructor off, stifling a laugh. Niko looked away to hide his amusement before he turned back to Edith and the princess. When Princess Ambrosia went off on the girl once more, he chuckled softly. He noticed how violet her tone was and stared at the pair. When she approached Nikolai he raised an eyebrow, amused. "Fine." He danced with her for a bit of time before he moved a hand to her waist, pulling her slightly closer. "Princess, perhaps you need to focus on your lesson instead of some desperate instructor?" He hoped to fluster the princess as he held her close. "Stop thinking about her. Stop looking at her. Stop thinking of some asshole prince you'll have to marry eventually. Ambrosia would look away feeling his hand move closer to her waist and pulling her closer. She didn’t want him to see how flustered she was.. all until he spoke. Amber would finally look up as the two would dance around the ballroom “s-shut up!!” she’d growl quietly, she was making minor mistakes because she was infact thinking about Edith flirting with Nikolai, and how much that bothered her, and clearly her knight picked up on it quickly “Fine.. very well Sir Nikolai..” she’d take a deep breath in and exhaled. Think about him.. was the only thing that came to her mind. As she’d look at him continuing to dance. Her footsteps became better, her posture and hand holding became better as well as all she was thinking about was him.. she would be lost in his gaze just looking into his eyes, her heart just melted as he’d twirl her and pull her back. As the danced ended, Edith would slowly clap as Amber would let go and curtsey to him as a thanks. Getting up as she’d glanced back towards Edith “Sir Nikolai, care to dance with me like that?” Edith say offering a hand as Ambrosia would bite her lower lip rolling her eyes “Unfortunately we have other things to do, thank you Edith.. consider this your last day” As Ambrosia would grab Nikos arm and storm out the ball room, and once back into the hall she’d cool down “Sorry I- ugh.. she’s always flirting with the men I’m with..” she say cutting her sentence short not wanting to say and like part, as she’d changed subjects “Your quite the dancer Nikolai.. I’m impressed.. any other skills your hiding from me?” shed tease as they would be walking towards the dining hall for her next practice.. properly eating.. which fork goes with what meal etc

Nikolai chuckled softly. He loved how flustered she got and was glad she finally looked at him. "Princess, I hardly think you want me to stop talking." When she went quiet and focused on the dance he smiled softly, a rare sight for the knight. He enjoyed dancing with her, the moment feeling intimate and warm. He'd spin her and pull her back in a few times as the dance called for, each time his smile would grow slightly. The girl was gorgeous, despite her entitlement. She was beautiful as her cares seemed to disappear as they danced. Niko simply felt entranced by their dance. He bowed to the Princess at the end and smiled, taking a step back. Nikolai looked at Edith and raised an eyebrow. "I appreciate your offer, Miss Edith, but I do believe my time is taken, and so is my interest." He turned away and walked out with Ambrosia. "I see..." When she tried to tease him about his dance, he smirked. "Princess, when we danced was it because you were jealous perhaps? What are you hiding from me, hmm?" Niko took her to the next area, standing beside her. "But thank you. You're a good dancer too, once you get out of your head. I enjoyed myself." "Perhaps we can dance again. It's been a while since I have gotten to dance with a beautiful woman. Maybe I'll sneak into the next ball." He teased, joking about finding another woman to dance with at the ball. Ambrosia would smirk hearing his snarky comment towards Edith, and a wave of relief hit her as she’d turn back sticking her tongue out childish towards Edith as they exited, she’d look ahead and bite her lower lip “N-no!! It was not cause I was jealous!” shed bluntly say clearly lying out her teeth getting all flustered and stuttering “I-it it was cause I- I had to make sure it was perfect! Yeah that! I had to make sure my moves were perfect” shed reiterated nodding in approval of her own lie as she’d then say “I’m glad you enjoyed yourself..—“ she’d stop herself mid sentence as she’d gulp, her heart skipped and her face flushed red hearing that comment as she turned to look up at Niko “Yeah.. I’d love that..” she spoke sincerely “dancing with a handsome like yourself .. would be an honor” she’d then tease as Amber would sit down at the dining table. Her maids coming and setting the array of food as Amber would respond back “No.. I haven’t, not I think, but what does that matter when my fate is already sealed off to marry some bastard..” she’d say as her voice trails off as the door opened to reveal her mother.. .. the queen “Ambrosia darling..” she’d smile softly placing a kiss on ambers cheek as she’d then look to Nikolai “and sir Nikolai please please have a seat.. join our feast .. it maybe be apart if Ambrosias training but please please eat!” she’d say insisting as she pull a chair out for niko motioning him to sit as she’d walk on the other side and sat down across from Ambrosia “Now.. the tiny forks are for..” “Salad Mother” she spoke irritated, honestly why was this apart of her etiquette training “and the big fork is for meats and others , they go on the left hand side with spoons on the right” she’d say with more irritation to her voice “tone Ambrosia ..” her mother spoke “it’s unlady like to speak like that infront of your guest” she’d say eyeing Niko as Ambrosia would sigh “Sorry mother..”

And your soon to be husband Prince Williams..” “But mother I keep telling you I don’t want to marry him he’s an ab—“ “Don’t you dare say it!” the queen would say slamming her hands on the table and getting up “I’ve had enough of this young lady, go to your room..” she say as Amber got up and stormed off to her room upset, leaving Nikolai behind with her mother, a door slammed in the distance “I apologize for her inadequate behavior… and that you had to witness this sir Nikolai” she’d say in humbleness “she is just stressed about meeting this prince in a couple of days..” she’d then go on looking up at the roof “please.. go check on her” the queen said as she’d leave to go find the king

Nikolai chuckled softly and nodded. He admired her before the maids came in. When the Queen walked in, he straightened up. Niko sat across from Ambrosia and began eating in silence. He listened to the princess and looked at the queen. He watched them argue, simply observing the situation. "Your majesty, if I may... I have also heard some allegations against the prince." He said softly as the Princess had left. "I will accompany the Princess to the kingdom of her betrothed. If any of the rumors turn out to be true, I will not hesitate to take the necessary measures to protect your daughter. However, if he doesn't hurt her then I intend to see this through until the wedding. Now, please excuse me." Nikolai stood and pushed in his car before heading to Princess Ambrosias chambers. He knocked on the door before slowly opening it. "Princess? Talk to me. I know you don't want this, and it's scary. But you also need to know that no matter what, I'll be at your side." He took her hand in his and hesitated. "Talk to me Princess..." Even as he was here, holding the beautiful Princesses hand, he still refused to call her by her name. The queen would look absolutely baffled and mad, as she’d look towards Nikolai raising her hand “thats enough.. I will speak to the boy myself and the other kingdoms” she spoke with venom as she watch Niko leave to go check up on her daughter. The queen sighed calling in for the king as the two would begin to talk as Niko opened the door hed see Ambrosia laying on her bed her face burrowed in a pillow. As he’d step in Ambrosia sat up, fixing up her hair, her makeup a mess and her face red and puffy from crying as she’d look to Nikolai “just leave me alone!” she spoke— clearly he didn’t listen as he’d approach her, and took her hands carefully into his, Ambrosia looked up at him as he spoke.. talk to me princess.. something about that phrasing ambrosia looked down reluctantly “I just.. I don’t understand why my parents have to decide my fate for me.. I want to marry whoever I like not forced to marry…” shed sniffle as she’d lean forward resting her head on Nikolai’s shoulder lowering her guard for once “They don’t see the true side of Prince Williams and they never will.. fuck I rather marry a peasant who loves me than a prince who doesnt” she’d remark as she’d lift her head off his shoulder wiping her eyes “I look like a mess— I’m sorry” she spoke stifling a laugh looking to Niko with black under eyes from the subtle mascara she was wearing “I’m just stressed.. Niko hesitated when the princess leaned into him but slowly pet her head, smoothing out her hair to calm her as she spoke. He nodded to her words and stood as she pulled away slightly. He moved to the bathroom area, getting a wash cloth and wetting it. "Princess, you don't have to apologize for being a mess. And you won't be alone." He moved back to her with the wet rag, sitting on her bed and leaning closer. Niko placed one hand on her shoulder and the other carefully wiped his tears and then worked on wiping away the mascara streaks. "I might have lost my job." He chuckled softly and smiled. "Considering I just told the queen that if he laid a hand on you, I wouldn't hesitate to do the same." He shook his head, amused. "So Princess. You won't be alone. My duty is to protect you so that you might have the chance to find love with him. And if he isn't a man worthy of your love, then I must continue to protect you." After he finished wiping away the mascara, Nikolai admired her slightly. She was beautiful and would definitely make an amazing queen for someone. Ambrosia would watch him get up and wet the rag. As he’d come back and wipe her tears for her she’d mouth thank you, looking down the entire time she didn’t know what more to say in this humble moment she felt warm when he spoke about her not having to be alone, she was honestly graceful to have him by her side and more graceful he was willing to protect her. She felt bad for being a jackass to him, he didn’t even deserve it. He was so kind and understanding yet all he got in return was just cold hearted and bitchiness as he’d wipe away her mascara Ambrosia sniffled and looked up to him, noticing he was admiring her she’d chuckle quietly and playfully pushed him back slightly as she say “don’t look at me like that.. I’m a mess..” as he’d look away she’d giggle watching him stand up she too got up and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him as her head rested on his chest “thank you.. for comforting me.. honestly I’m sorry for being so rude to you.. Nikolai looked away quickly when she noticed, him biting his lip to stop from smiling so much. "You're a beautiful mess Princess." He got up when she hugged him. He froze slightly before wrapping his arms around her too. He chuckled at her words and toyed with her hair. "Princess Ambrosia, it'll be okay. I know there's more to you than just the attitude, though it is adorable to see you try to insult me. Half the time you're insulting, the other half is blushing." He teased and froze when she mentioned spending the night. "Princess... I... I shouldn't." Niko hesitated before slowly nodding. "Okay... I'll stay." @.𖥔 ݁ ˖ 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓢𝓽𝓪𝓻 𝓢𝓪𝓫 ✧˖°

“Hey now!” she’d grumble as she’d fold her arms, another sniffle heard “don’t tease me like that” she’d look away all flustered when he said that. He wasn’t wrong half the time she was insulting and half the time she was blushing.. she just didn’t like that he had to point it out to her as he hesitated she felt her smile drop a little— only for it to come back as he agreed the princess squealed quietly in excitement before immediately calming down and cooling down going back to her “mean” persona “thank you…” she say containing her excitement as she’d clear her throat “you should gather your things that you’ll need from your quarter..” she say as she’d pivot walking to her bed and began to move pillows around @novarose0103

The knight nodded and smiled as the princess squealed. He walked out, heading to his quarters. He grabbed a small bag of personal items - a tooth brush, gel and a normal brush. In the bag he also put a change of clothes. He scratched his neck, unsure as to what he was doing before he headed back to the Princess. He didn't know what he was going to find when he opened the door, but he knocked regardless. Part of him was nervous, unsure of how the night would end. the door opened as he knocked, as it wasn’t fully closed. There Ambrosia would be in a night gown, her hair in a messy bun and her makeup off as she was sitting on the edge of her bed reading. Hearing the door she’d perked her head up and looked towards her knight in shining armor with a kind smile “I don’t know how many pillows you normally sleep with so I left three on your side ..” she say as she got up pointing to the right side of the bed. Ambrosia always had to sleep on the left side.. or whatever side was facing the window. She loved the way the moon gave that natural lighting… and the cool breeze of the night.. her window was cracked slightly open as they would hear light thunder rumbling in the distance and a flash of lightning followed by Ambrosia would have been ready for bed already brushed her teeth and do her daily night routine. She’d set her book on her desk and got into the bed laying on her side as she looked to Sir Nikolai.. she didn’t understand this feeling she felt. It was warm, she actually enjoyed his presence “Thank you again Nikolai..” she’d quietly say as she wait for him to get in the bed. Once he did Ambrosia moved closer.. and rested her head on his shoulder cuddling, but trying not to cuddle with him, or well trying to make it subtle, as she was sound asleep.. the storm in the distance moving as the thunder got louder and rain started to pout with frequent lightning but Amber was fast asleep @novarose0103 after your reply I’ll time skip to the morning!

The knight walked in and hesitated. He got into the bed with the princess and nodded, staying on his side until she moved closer to him. He soon fell asleep, moving to hold her. Sometime throughout the night he pulled off his shirt, too hot to be cuddling and under the covers. Niko held the girl close with a smile in his sleep. Ambrosia would be fast sleep her head nuzzled in the crook of his neck as she had a smile on her face throughout the night. The storm would continue on until the following morning the next morning the skies cloudy but the birds chirps slightly , as the thunder would rumble once more. It would be near 6:30am. Ambrosia and Nikolai would be in a spooning position now, Ambers fingers intertwined with Nikolai’s fingers as they would be holding hands. Nothing could have prepared the two for what was to come. As suddenly the door opened at 6:35, as normal with Edith going to wake Ambrosia up to get her ready for the day. Edith never knocked given that she had no need to, Ambrosias door wasn’t locked and ontop of that nobody but her would her in her bed. Right? Edith walked in and closed the door her back towards the two for a brief moment before she spoke and pivoted “Princess Amb—“ Ediths eyes widen as she let a scream out seeing Nikolai in her bed cuddling with the princess.. the scream was enough to wake ambrosia up as she jolted sitting up seeing Edith.. and then down to Nikolai “N-no it’s not what you think Edith!” Ambrosia quickly said shaking her her hands frantically “I requested he say with me! No sinful activities occurred throughout the night I swear—“ As Edith blinked trying to process the words “You are to be Wed to Prince Williams.. how dare you cheat on him! I’m telling the queen and king. Sir Nikolai.. you will be punished accordingly” Edith spoke with spite as she’d storm off Ambrosia would jerk her head towards Nikolai worried @novarose0103

The knight held the princesses hand in his sleep, enjoying the sleep. It was more than likely the best sleep he'd had in years. When someone screamed, he shot up, stumbling to stand and putting his hand where his sword normally was. When he saw Edith he froze, remembering who he had spent the night with. He clenched his jaw. "Nothing happened. The princess was worried about her safety, and I accidentally fell asleep." When the woman growled about punishment, Niko ran his hands through his hair, stressed. He wasn't quite sure how to handle the situation, but knew it wouldn't end well. He tapped his foot, staring at the wall. Niko was just trying to figure out a plan. He turned to Ambrosia. "Princess, I don't know if I'll be able to accompany you to the other kingdom if I am to have my status revoked but... Thank you. Even though the time was short, I enjoyed being with you. The knight bowed his head before straightening up. When there was no punishment he felt a weight lifted off of his chest, though it came back when he dismissed the ladies. He tensed as the king stepped towards him. "With no disrespect King, you shouldn't apologize about her behavior towards me, you majesty.Towards your own daughter however, perhaps. No one should be treated with such disrespect, especially not by the people supposed to love them most." When the king got closer and asked about his feelings, the male froze. "Sir... Nikolai slowly nodded, smiling softly as he joked about the stubbornness of the ladies. And yet, his smile dropped and he looked to the ground, hesitant. "I fully understand that the princess and I will never be a thing. I apologize for even feeling this towards her." But he looked back up, shocked as the king mentioned stopping the wedding. "Yes your majesty. I understand my role in this. If the princess decides she won't be happy there, I will bring her home. And I will not let anything happen to her." As Nikolai left to do own things, Ambrosia left her room, going outside in the cloudy weather so do her archery practice, as she was allowed to have 2 things that peaked her interest, one was being archery of course and the other was horseback riding. She’d stand in the courtyard and raised her arms, shooting the arrow as it pierced in the middle, the perfect bullseyes, she kept going letting her frustration out.. so much so that she lost track of time and didn’t know it was time for dinner.. @novarose0103

Nikolai hesitated to walk away as she hadn't responded, but he knew he needed to. Most of the day he spent training, letting his frustrations out on new recruits. Eventually he pulled away, his shirt sticking to him as Niko combed back his hair with his fingers. When the knight saw the time he went to escort the princess but didn't see her. He waited a bit, waiting for her to come back. After about five minutes, he left to look around for her. The King and Queen had told him about her hobbies and places she liked so he simply had to look for them. At this point he was rushing, trying to find her before her parents got upset. Seeing her out the window, Nikolai rushed out and ran to her, stopping a few feet away and breathing fast. "Princess." "I know you're angry. And we can talk about it later. You can yell at me and hit me all you want, but right now you have appearances to make. You must eat dinner with your parents, they have more arrangements to be made in terms of your trip." Slowly he stood up and approached her. "Please Ambrosia... We can talk about this later. I know you're pissed. But it's my job to protect you. It's what I have to do right now. Ambrosia would shoot her last arrow hitting the white spot as she heard his voice in the distance. Niko hesitated as the princess left before taking her mostly full plate. "I will give this to the Princess so she may eat as she pleases in her own chambers." Sir Nikolai turned and left quickly. He didn't want to hear anything the Queen might have to say. Niko knocked on the chamber doors of the princess before entering. "I brought you your food princess..." He set it on her dresser and went to exit, hesitating at the door. "I know you're mad but... It didn't mean nothing. I need it too. Because you're a Princess, intended to marry. Ambrosia would wave him off as she’d let her tears fall on her clothes as she packed, as he left she’d look towards her empty door way and walked to it, closing it and locking it as she wanted to be alone. She didn’t understand how she had feeling for someone like him.. and why it had to be such a big deal.. As she was finished packing Ambrosia would head to bed. Dreading the following morning. As morning came she’d wakeup a bit later than normal and unlocked her door as Edith would come in

“finally..” she say as she’d grab Princess Ambrosias arm carefully and lead her further into the room to her all dolled up “now remember.. this is a 3 day trip so don’t get that outfit dirty.. I also packed you a spare one it’s already in the carriage, sir Nikolai is awaiting for your arrival” *she say as she’d brush the princesses hair and done it nicely as Ambrosia would stay quiet nodding.

Nikolai stood beside the queen and king, though when Ambrosia came out his eyes trailed to her and widened slightly. When the king spoke, Nikolai looked down and nodded. He didn't speak until he got into the carriage, sitting across from her. "We won't arrive at our first stop until it's almost dark. Ambrosia nodded , fiddling with her fingers as she’d look out the window. She had nothing to say to him, even after he apologized, it was far to late for one. The knight sat in silence simply watching the outside pads. Ambrosia didn't seem interested in what he had to say, but he didn't mind. He knew that it was too late and that nothing could be done anymore. When she mentioned growing hungry, she seemed polite... Proper. "We will arrive shortly Princess." He worried that her attitude would be for the prince, stifling her true personality. When they arrived at the inn, it was growing dark outside. Niko got out first and helped her out. Ambrosia nodded as she looked back outside.. as they arrived she glanced seeing Nikolai step out first and offer a hand to her as she took it. She’d thank him, curtseying to him slightly .. she had to practice her manners, since she was being ripped of her own. As they walked in and he checked them in, she was about to head to their room before Nikolai stopped her and pointed to the dining area and suggested to get food. Ambrosia nodded as she’d follow him to the dining area. It would be a small buffet filled with little things like meat, greens, rice.. as ambrosia grabbed a plate and filled it with greens and meat heading towards a table as she sat down.. and began to dig in. She didn’t seem enthusiastic.. or happy she was just filled with dread knowing each day they were growing closer to the kingdom as she finish eating she finally looked up to Nikolai “… are you sure we can’t… just try.. to you know.. hide our relationship..” she ask once more hoping his answer changed @novarose0103

Nikolai nodded as she curtsied and got his food before sitting across from her. He bit his lip and kept his eyes on his food. "We don't have a relationship like the one you're wanting. I cannot interfere with royal matters at all Princess. I apologize." He finished his food and paid for the dinner before going to his room swiftly. The next morning he packed the carriage and escorted the princess to the carriage. He sighed and the next few days were spent in awkward silence. But once they arrived at the castle he looked at her. "Please... Be safe. I know that you don't want to do this. But we need to try. For your future. The moment he messes with you though, you'll let me know and I'll handle it."
