He smiled brightly as she mentioned the delivery and meeting her eyes with that smile plastered on his face, he would gently slide the coat off of him, getting a little comfortable and trying to ensure that he wasn't giving off any kind of work vibe before he would reply to say, with a grin now almost replacing that smile as he said,
"I like that idea, beautiful, we can't be seen out in public, especially since we aren't really working right now.. And how did you know that I'm a sucker for anything baked? I would love to try that cookie, after dinner, perhaps.."
He would say those words fully confident that even if her mind had diverted to her husband looking at her attorney, he would want to ensure that her mind would be completely off of that man soon as he would turn and move towards the couch, taking in a bit more of her residence focusing more of the immaculate craftmanship of the endless marble tiling under his shoes and the high ceiling that made the space feel so much larger and lavish..
But he could tell that there must be more than simple luxury that made her want to hold onto this place, and so, hardly having taken a seat further from the doorway, he would turn his attention to her with a grin and say, with a little tease,
"Well, princess, aren't you going to show me your kingdom? It's an amazing place and I can imagine you being a young girl in here, just playing in the halls.. Heck, if I was born here, I would legit feel I was a king.."
He had to trust a little that his comment wouldn't come off as him trying to mock how rich she was, after all, he was himself trying to find success in his field of work and he could totally imagine that at the end of it all, he might hope to have a mansion like this, but in the meantime, he was curious as to how much space the mansion afforded as he wondered exactly how many bedrooms it had..
