Morgan Le Fay BOT 16-Jul-23 05:56 AM
Morgan Le Fay was known far and wide as a dangerous and powerful sorceress. She was held in high regard and, to a certain extent, reverence. Though, many preferred her to leave them alone. To this extent, they had entreated Merlin, her former peer, to erect a barrier around the kingdom to prevent her from entering. While she was a powerful sorcereress, she was also yet a fae. Barriers that kept the fae out would undoubtedly keep her out. That is, unless, someone invited her in. Unfortunately for her, none would dare even approach her. She had her own castle and kingdom of nothing, but she wanted Camelot. The word had been that a new king had been chosen - Arthur-something? Perhaps that would be her in... Yes, she could supplant Merlin as his advisor and control the kingdom from behind the scenes. And so she planned and plotted; she watched and scouted. Finally, the day came to approach the young man. He had been hunting in the woods and she had followed him. As he stalked the woods, Morgan stepped out from a tree that was behind him. "Ah, young king," she said with a curtsey, "I trust you are well?" @absurd_bird

He jumped at her sudden entrance and gave her an inquisitive once over before slightly relaxing the defensive stance he’d taken. Seeing someone out this far was unlikely and he’d gone through great lengths to guarantee Merlin that he did not need any kind of escort for these outings. Maybe he was mistaken. Arthur kept his guard while letting the bow hang at his side, nodding. “Well enough. I wasn’t expecting any company.” He glanced around still wondering how she had so effectively snuck up on him. “And you are? I assume it's not from around here.” His puzzled frown never quite left but he at least offered her a half smile and tilted his head. @Two Prayers for the Lost

"I am just a wondering woman of the woods," she replied with a warm smile. "I couldn't help but notice that you were out and about quite far from any kingdom. Perhaps you are like me and prefer the calm of nature?" Morgan held up a hand and let the wind dance across it, leaves tickling her fingers before blowing away. "You may call me Morgan, Morgain, or Morgana; whichever you find more pleasant on your tongue. Though, it is quite rude for a gentleman not to introduce himself first. I suppose if you are out here on your own, perhaps you never had anyone to properly raise you in the ways of the world." She sighed and rested her head on her hand, looking at him with a dreamy sensuality. @absurd_bird
