She wasn’t sure what exactly that motion meant but it seemed to be a sign of empathy. So she smiled softly.
Aether’s arms were so big, muscle wrought with hard work and strife. Hell, Aether was big, not like any man she’d seen before.
He must be bigger than Uncle.
Her uncle, a man she solemnly spoke of. It didn’t matter how well things were going between them, she didn’t think she’d ever be ready to have that discussion.
She pulled back her long blonde curls, maybe she should’ve braided her hair like she regularly did but tonight, she wanted him to find her beautiful.
Soraya’s hands moved to his chest, slowly, carefully. His stripes, his scars, it felt wrong for her, a human, to touch them.
But he didn’t seem to mind.
